You know what, for Dean's 45th birthday, which is tomorrow (January 24th), I only want to see posts about him being happy. I want to see pics of him smiling. I want to see GIFs of him acting goofily. I want to read about him being alive and loved.
No, wait, I don't want it. I NEED it!
Here's an example:

Obi-wan: *Dies and becomes one with the force*
Obi-wan: Ah! It's all of my friends and my old Master! How are you Qui-gon?
Qui-gon: I am good Obi-wan... what are you looking for?
Obi-wan: I'm looking for Ahsoka. Do you know where she's at?
Qui-gon: uhhhhh...
Obi-wan: Come on master, I've waited 20 years to see my grandpadawan again, where is she?
Qui-gon: ummmm....
Obi-wan: I was by myself for 20 YEARS Qui-gon! I have missed Ahsoka as much as I've missed Anakin and I really want to give her a hug and an apology. So just tell me where she is and I'll be out of you hair.
Qui-gon:.....
Obi-wan:.........
Qui-gon:.....She's.......alive...?
Obi-wan:........................
Qui-gon:.....Obi-wa-?
Obi-wan: -I'M SORRY. WHAT?!

Cohen didn't bother overmuch with questions. As far as Cohen was concerned, people appeared, people disappeared. After a five-year gap he'd just say, "Oh, it's you." He never added, "And how are you?" You were alive, you were upright, and beyond that he didn't give a damn.

Hot take: The 30th is Billie Eilish's best song.
In a stand-still on The Five, thought it was unusually early traffic
Usually, I don't panic, I just wanted to be on time
When I saw the ambulances on the shoulder, I didn't even think of pulling over
I pieced it all together late that night
And I know you don't remember calling me
But I told you, even then you looked so pretty
In a hospital bed
I remember you said you were scared
And so was I
What if it happened to you on a different day?
On a bridge, where there wasn't a rail in the way?
Or a neighborhood street where the little kids play?
Or the Angeles Crest in the snow or the rain?
What if you weren't alone? There were kids in the car
What if you were remote? No one knows where you are
If you changed anything, would you not have survived?
You're alive, you're alive, you're alive

Gratefulness
There comes a day when you'll feel full of love and gratefulness for your life. A day when you'll stop and look around and see the good through all the shit that happened. You'll realize that despite everything, you're alive and that's what matters.

This song legit made me cry
"you are a protagonist"
And a protagonist never dies...

The Justice League finds out about the Anti-Ecto Acts, and Batman is the driving force behind condemning them.
He even goes so far as to summon popular ghost hero Phantom for advice, given that his son, Red Hood, would absolutely fall under those Acts.
Phantom...tells him he's wrong.
Red Hood is 100%, completely and totally alive. Same soul, same body, sort of the same person. Only 'sort of' because people change as they grow, so obviously he isn't going to be the same person he was when he was fifteen.
There's not a trace of ecto in him, or in any of the Bats. None of them are even liminal.
Batman asks if he's sure. If he's really, really sure. Because ghosts run on emotions, and Red Hood came back extremely violent and irrational.
"Well yeah, of course he did," Phantom deadpans, and Batman suddenly feels very, very small under that glare. "He was murdered, unavenged, told that there was no way he was the same person when he came back pissed, and had his words as a victim ignored. I'd get violent too. Look, I gotta go, but thanks for getting the Acts removed."

"so, being like a year or so out from the record 'so much for stardust' and looking back at it, the idea that this record was somehow a lot about the idea...how like one day you're not gonna exist and that can just be this big existential dread that kinda follows you around and it can feel paralyzing. but i think instead of just feeling paralyzed, it was important to make this record, and it's a weird record, and i say that because whatever you make — it's bracelets or tiktoks or videos or music — i don't know, you know, memes, whatever it is. make stuff. make stuff 'cause you have to make stuff, make stuff so you feel like you're alive. make stuff, and make the world a little more fucking weird." -pete wentz before heaven, iowa; sacramento, ca 3/3/24
