Nutrition - 💡 tips of the day: be focus on your overall daily intake rather than nutrition timing. As we become more and more aware of our nutrition we are learning new technics to improve our diet. But don't forget the basic principles. Reach your macros daily instead of focusing on timing. I am not saying timing is a bad thing, not at all! All I am saying is don't lose sight of what matter the most. Equipment - 💡 tips of the day: don't underestimate the importance to have the right tool to train. I am lucky to have found @fitandrack for the supply of all my tools at home and at work. First, they are great guys and that's always nice, second their equipment is sick! As it is very common to stay in your comfort zone the greatness is not build there. Being part of a competition, online or not will spot your flaws. Nutrition - 💡 tips of the day: make your food enjoyable! You eat with you eyes first! That sound kinda silly but you do. You see your food and this creates some reaction whether you like what you see or not. Having a pretty plate have multiples positive effects : 1- you will have to create a pretty plate and therefore will be paying more attention on what you put in. 🍲 2- you will eat slower as you need to rearrange with your knife and fork🍴 3- you will feel proud and happy about yourself as a real chef 👩‍🍳 4- it's pretty! And will open your stomach for quality enjoyable food. I hate spinach but when it is pretty presented I am more willing to make an effort!! 😂 Treat yourself like a guest. Nutrition - 💡 tips of the day: Always be prepared. On nutrition the main common things when it comes to success is to be prepared. So how do I get prepared you may ask? By having quality food always in arm reach. Let take an example: you are in the office and it's the third time this week someone bring a cake in the open space. And it's a cookie chocolate cake, your favorite! 🍪 You can smell it from your desk it's excruciating. But you have been super with your nutrition lately and you don't want to give up. But it is so tempting and you start feeling hungry! Two solutions at this point: 1- you go and eat a piece of it because that what you really want and eating healthy sux! 😖😂😉 2- you are prepared and you have some fruits and nuts with you that you eat slowly and you feel satisfied 🍎🥜 🙂 The choice is up to you and you only but when it comes to food being prepared will help you prevent the drama in your head whether you will go for a slice or not. 🤯 For me I'm being prepared at home with some cool beverage like @noccofrance and @fitaid. Mindset - 💡Tips of the day: be accountable. Be transparent about what you are engaged in. In order to stay on track you need to be fully transparent. Even vulnerable. Whether you decide to go public or you just decide to be accountable to yourself. For example: be accountable with your nutrition is to meticulously dial in your every meal in your logbook ( Fitbit, Myfitnesspal...) For me being transparent in public is a tough call but will help me stay focus and motivated on the long run. This is my result on the open 2020 in the Rx division. I feel not satisfied about this score as I feel that I can do so much better. This is actually the start of my new vision as a CrossFit Athlete who wants to compete. With family and work I was reluctant to compete, but these numbers opened my eyes as I know this is really what I want to do. Next step is the @frenchthrowdown 2020 🏋️‍♀️. Nutrition - 💡Tips of the day: be flexible with your nutrition. Don't overthink everything. I used to struggle with my nutrition ( polite way to say that I had a eating disorder where I binged on cheat days 🤢) but I learned that I need to stop overthinking. Easier said than done you might say. And you are right. Knowing what your body need and trusting the process is very important but takes time. I advise you surround yourself with professional and do a lot of reading to understand how this works. 🤓 This post is also to remind you that you can enjoy crappy food sometimes. There shouldn't be any judgment on yourself. You enjoy, you keep going with your goal. This is not a setback at all. This is a great social moment where you can live and laugh. Don't underestimate this value on your overall health. This is important. I will continue to post some stories and tips on nutrition as I think this is what stress most of us. Mindset - 💡 Tips of the day: learn as much as you can on the field you are intrested in. Keep a open mind so you can learn new interesting things. Yesterday night was a @netflixfr night by myself. I spotted this documentary and played it on while training. I was not caring about it much but few minutes later some words caught up my attention. Such as #plantbaseddiet 🥦 #improvingperformance and I got stuck to it. I learn a ton, some useful information that I need now to double check ( of course) 🤓. But I recommend you watch it.
