Another concept art for Myths of Crumbling Concrete
I like to call it folk-post-apocalypse, where modern civilization collapsed because of a change in the rules of the universe, giving thoughts, tales and beliefs power to change the world.

It's my 2 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳
I wasn't posting for a while but the progress on Myths of Crumbling Concrete continues (slow but steady)
Here we have a board for MoCC. Instead of using really stiff tactical map or really loose theater of mind, I'm experimenting with dividing all action into four positions based on level of danger (on position 0 you are face to face with an enemy, getting bonuses to attacks but minuses to defense etc)
I will be starting playtesting with my friends soon.

I started working on fantasy post-apocalyptic tabletop RPG in this vibe
the work title for now: "Myths of Crumbling Concrete"
From previous posts: Ayling, Angel Executioner and Demon are from the same setting. It's pretty early in production, I hope that something will come out of it.

Aylinc also known as Playing Spirit is a rare creature found in human settlements and cemeteries, often in places where children were mistreated. They posses an ability to stretch the rules of reality for their games, when stumbling across one you might have to play "floor is lava" where floor literally scorches you by touch. They are childlike in behavior but often more malicious, regularly drawing unsuspecting victims into their games.
The most reliable known method for dealing with aylinc is to play with them. It might be dangerous but if you make it have fun it will most often disappear without much risk of later reappearance.

Habits that we are ashamed of, addictions, negative tendencies. When guilt strengthens and things that we don't accept in ourselves grow larger, they might take on a body and become a shadow.
Negative emotions and thoughts first bind themselves to an object associated with guilt, could be a mirror, a book, a religious object, anything, then after some time of incubation a shadow is born from it and an objects becomes shadow's core.
Shadow's looks and behavior depends on a person they were born from and the things they tried to forget about. They are hideous, murky and full of holes, every shadow also has a tail connecting it to their core. They don't appear to be limited in distance they can go away from it, but most of them stay in constant proximity to it.
Their most characteristic feature is that their body is only material in indirect light, they can't be seen or touched in direct light or total darkness.
They are pitiful and unpredictable creatures, better to stay away when you see one. If they attack, stick to the light. They have incredible ability to regenerate so there are only two reliable methods of destroying them, striping their core of it shadow, by putting it in complete darkness or surround it with light, or just destroying the core. There were also rumors of cases where people accepted their shadow...
Some worldbuilding for my new project, I'm thinking about making a video about them and fleshing them out a little more. Would you be interested? Or have you any ideas for shadows?

Cat mage concept art
I thought of a magic system based on concepts, where mages are using concepts to do things. Cat mage, for example is able to squeeze through tiny openings, liquify their body, survive fall from obscene heights etc. but as a payment they must act like their concepts. Cat mage to keep their power would need to hunt for tiny creatures, throw off objects from shelves and do other cat behaviors.
