Are you still around?

I haven't really been active in the Marvel fandom for a couple years now, so I haven't really had much to rec and consequently this blog's been on hiatus for a while now lol. I've also been incredibly busy with life and been dealing with a hand injury so I'm not sure that'll change anytime soon unfortunately, sorry! But I am alive and still around in fandom at large. There's a pretty big backlog of fics already recced that may be of interest if nothing else?

What’s your favourite ship??? Just curious

That’s a super hard question because I love so many ships and they’re all so cool in their own way 🥺 but I guess I’d have to go with Tony/Bruce tbh?? The science bros dynamic is iirc the first Tony ship I fell in love with and they hold a special place in my heart. But I’m also a huge fan of Winteriron (all the angst and HEALING, my heaRT)

Sometimes yes, though I’m not accepting requests currently, sorry! I’ve got a pretty big backlog I’d been hoping to work through, but I’m considering clearing out a lot of the old ones (as many of them are asking for subject matters I don’t read/have no interest in) so that I can reopen requests without feeling so guilty over the old ones, haha! But yeah, for now I’m not taking requests. I do update the status for rec requests in my blog description if you wanted to keep an eye out for when that changes!

Okay so this is sort of a shot in the dark, but I have memories of reading a stevetony fic where they got stuck in a timeloop in an abandoned house/tower/cottage surrounded by nothing, really (?). Every few months the loop reset and they would have no memories of the previous months, thinking they just got there. The building slowly is modernised as they live there and Tony fixes and makes things, and I guess at the end they fell in love or smth and got out of the loop somehow? But I cannot, for the life of me, find it anywhere. If you've read it or are able to track it down I would be so freaking grateful. If you cant it's all good I will just continue on my search 😂

For your star rating post, i hope you don't give yourself a hard time over it because i honestly always thought of it as a personal rec and not something that was rating authors or something. A lot of people are asked what their favourite fics are and this was the same as that. However, I can see why you would want to change it for the reasons you said too. I hope you don't worry too much about it and find enough spoons to do whatever you need.

After a long hiatus and a lot of thought, I’ve decided to abandon my practice of giving star ratings to fics I’m reccing. 

While every fic I rec here of any star rating is one that I really enjoyed (enough for me to want to showcase it for others to read!! Seriously, all the fics here are great and absolutely deserving of a heck of a lot of praise) it’s such an arbitrary measure that only looks at my own personal opinion of something. The last thing I would want is for an author to believe their works is inferior to something else just because of a single person’s opinion. 

From here on out, fics I rec will no longer include that rating. Older fics will still have the rating unless I manage to find enough spoons to edit the posts to remove them. I’m really sorry to any authors who I might have unintentionally hurt.

Wordsplat deleted their account, apparently, and I'm heartbroken. I loved so many of their fics so much and I failed to download most of them so all I have now is my memories and the knowledge that we lost a really incredible writer and some absolutely amazing fics. I don't know what happened but I hope they're doing okay.
