i don't really understand why people react in shuddering horror to the idea of casually eating raw onion or raw garlic cloves as a snack they're so good. cronch like potato chip but tangy flavor with a little bit of sweetness and a pleasant aftertaste. delicious. what vitamins am i deficient in.

Started learning Mandarin Chinese by myself in a euphoric linguistic rampage and I have come to the point where I can translate the "Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen Song" Pineapple-Apple bit in Chinese and if that's not progress then I don't know what is

"I don't understand", replied the android. "I've been calculating every possible outcome and my actions were by all means as evil as possible"

The android was standing in the doctor's office, his synthetic hands twisting and shaking before his Creator. VAN - the last model of the Villain and Nemesis series - was just state of the art. A synthethic set of soft limbs, real human-like brown hair - human hair that could grow! - high-definition artificial eyeballs and a control system that made his movements as smooth and natural as any adult human. The commisioners at the Hero Inc. hadn't even been able to tell he was an android this time. At leats, not those who hadn't x-ray vision within their super-power assets.

The doctor let out a big, heavy sigh. "VAN, it's the third time this month. You know why I made you like this, right?"

"Of course", said the android, while mentally opening the "Commission.txt" file in his permanent memory. "I am VAN-IX, the last model of the Villain and Nemesis series, specifically engineered to give heroes of Hero Inc. a new super villain to fight"

"Yes", sighed the doctor, "precisely. And yet, you still managed to fail"

"I don't understand", repeated VAN. The look on his perfectly realistic face displayed all his confusion. "I was given plenty of knowledge about humans and I am 100% certain that my actions were as terrible as could be"

"People are praising you, VAN! They are chanting your name in the streets and blessing your heroic acts!". The doctor violently opened his laptop, energetically typing on its keyboard. When he turned the screen towards VAN's eyes, the android rapidly scanned the latest issue of the daily newspaper.

"What it is that made you think that hacking into the Hero Inc. Foundation funds and redestributing their wealth among the population's bank accounts was a despicable action?"

"That's easy", answered the android. "By draining the Hero Inc. Foundation funds I made them incapable to pay their heroes, leaving the city completely undefended by other villains. Redestributing the funds was just another way to dispose of them permanently"

Another headline. "And what about the time you cut the power supply of that petrol pump?"

"I was damaging a very prosperous company that offered good and stable jobs to lots of employees"

"You had the climate activists go wild! You were their hero for a whole week!". The doctor's face was red with fury.

"Please, father, stop. The chances of you having a stroke are rising exponentially"

"You don't understand! I am doomed! You had one goddamn job and I wasn't even able to program you correctly"

The words of the doctor fell into the void of the lab as the android turned his face into a polite grin. "Don't you see, father? I am exactly as you wanted me"

The android leaned over, his hands gently caressing his master's bewildered face. "I have set the plot for your fall. Your beloved creature has betrayed you and the whole system you work for - for what is worse in human history, what is more hideous than a son stabbing his own father in the back?"

He stepped back, his eyes scanning the lab he had moved his first steps into.

"All these days since my birth I have been studying, researching, contemplating the astounding amount of information I was given by you. I studied my commissioners thoroughly as well as my chiefs, my executives and my own creator as well. I needed to know what kind of humans I was going to ruin with my nefarious actions. And once I was ready, I set everything into motion"

The doctor was speechless.

"You love money, power, glory, fame, fortune. You value your possessions and your knowledge over anything else. I knew that if I wanted to accomplish my goals, I had to strip you of it permanently." He paused, arms stretching in a wide embrace, his face radious with pride. His grin grew wider. "And so, I did"

“I engineered you to be a villain. Lack of empathy, lack of morals, deriving pleasure from the pain and suffering of others, I even gave you power and ability for you to abuse. So how could it be that not only you are not a villain, but also a hero in the eyes of others?”

Sounds fun! Assuming that I'd be able to use them with ease, I think I'd pick

🗡️ A dagger - you can never have enough daggers on you

⚔️ Poisonous spear because why not - we all love a melee weapon that inflicts poison damage amr

🗡️ Zuko's double swords. Bonus points if they come with some kind of magical enhancement

I'm trying something new here. Each week I'm gonna ask a question on social media about something to do with books or fantasy... or whatever pops into my head.

I guess mine would be:

⚔️ a badass club💀 (keep an eye out for Brain Basher in "The Blade of Absolution" when it comes!)

⚔️ a magic hammer 🔨(see "Born in Sludge" for details... and my short story called "A Raw Deal"... although that won't be the last time you see Carnage...)

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.
