Mission Impossible Final Reckoning Drops Dead in Entertainment Value - WEST COAST MIDNIGHT RUN™ Magazine

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE FINAL RECKONING   

I had an early preview screening of this film, a week before its official release and although we are a BIG fan of Tom Cruise we have sad news to report.

If you have never seen a Mission Impossible Tom Cruise edition movie, then definitely this movie is recommended, not because it was hot, but because you will enjoy the original Mission Impossible tropes that fans of the Mission Impossible franchise will find dreary and possibly the worst in this final entry in the franchise.

Watch out this movie has brand new Tom Cruise Ethan Hunt coda: "Those we never meet" and "we live in the shadows". Wow, mind blowing Semper Fi Marines cry of Mr. Bojangles.

To give you a very quick feel for the convoluted adventure, part One of Dead Reckoning, with all its intrigue devolves into a really lame re-tell of the Marvels Ultron against the American James Bond and the results are far less than spectacular.

I had to give it a five star on Letterbox because our staff noticed if we give a movie review two stars or 1/2 star it gets the cold shoulder from fellow members of Letterbox.

So our five stars is what everyone (prima donna official movie critics) want for this film, NOT OUR ACTUAL rating, all the fanboy professional critics pulling for the Hollywood box office and their deeply embedded stake in it.

If you want our official revue with all the juicy bites it will up and published before Wednesday, two days before the premiere and we will have some spellbinding action HD 4K posters to go along with our revue segment.

CLEANING UP A CITY ISN'T EASY,

ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS PARIS

The French have trying to clean up their Seine river since 1990 … and failing at it. Now the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Centennial (100 years since their most recent hosting of the Games) are almost here and they are once more beating themselves up trying to make their fabled river swim worthy for the Decathlon competitions and Olympic swim events. They have been the laugh of the American news media, if you can read between the lines.

Meanwhile back in the USA, for the past decade, Hyperion and a host of sewage treatment facilities have been belching, spewing and pouring 100,000s even millions of gallons of untreated sewage in our Southern California beaches on an annual basis, forcing authorities to close off the beaches until the pollution fades away into the Pacific. From Malibu to Santa Monica, Redondo Beach, Long Beach and International Surfing Competitions Destination Huntington Beach, all have been hit for the past decade with closure due to sewage spills.

The Olympics in Paris of 2024 are almost upon us. The sponsors and organizors have been in a frenzy in the past few months getting the sites ready for world-class competitions to take place and WCMR is proud to support the Paris Olympics as well as the next one in Milano-Cortina in 2026.

NEOM SAUDI ARABIA AN EPIC DISASTER IN THE WINGS

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia via various popular online press outlets and venues (such as MSN) have been leaking their plans for a new Mega City on the eastern flank of the kingdom, known as NEOM and also dubbed The Line.

The Kingdom is touting this new milestone in urban design to be on par with modern marvels of engineering and construction, something to behold along the lines of Egypt’s fabled pyramids – and to compete with Singapore’s Marina Bay, Dubai’s Marina, Jumeirah’s Burj Al Arab (the distinctive hotel shaped like a sailboat), and most recently Burj El Khalifa, one of the tallest buildings in the world – all of which are pre-eminent business, visitors and tourist destinations in Asia.

However, it would seem the price tag for this ambitious project originally estimated at One Trillion US dollars is now edging closer, per some sources, to $2.5 Trillion US dollars and many of its grandiose features and plans will have to be trimmed, cut back, or removed entirely from the project destined to open (in phases I would surmise) starting in 2035.

What is believed to the kingdom’s most ambitious undertaking yet, the region’s DISNEYLAND, so to speak, and perhaps a new economic engine for the region and the Kingdom, could also be one step closer to the undoing of the current boom enjoyed throughout the Persian Gulf region, from Kuwait and the Emirates to Saudi.

What exactly are we alluding to? Allow us to explain in an upcoming revue segment to be featured in West Coast Midnight Run’s Lifestyles section of the Kiosk.

RICH IN LOVE 2 BRAZILIAN MOVIE BLACKLISTED BY AMERICAN REVIEWERS

West Coast Midnight Run publication just released its film review of Rich in Love and Rich in Love 2 sequel, Brazilian romantic movies that appear to have been sidelined by major print outlets' movie critics, possibly due to the current tensions between the United States and South America.

Nevertheless these movies deserve a chance with American audiences and you can enjoy the review plus some teasers at the West Coast Midnight Run Gateway Kiosk.

Starring Danilo Mesquita as Teto and Giovanna Lancellotti as Paula, the pair headline the two installments along with a small set of competent supporting actors. This movie and 2023 sequel from Brazil outshine many of the standard cookie cutter rom-coms from the USA, so take a look and savor the difference, which is more salient in the intricate details rather than the broad overall concept, punchlines and taglines.

R.M. PALMER FACTORY EXPLOSION - PUBLIC SAFETY, CORRUPTION AND NTSB INVESTIGATION

West Coast Midnight Run has produced three editorial and review segments following the devastating explosion of the chocolate factory in the borough of West Reading, Pennsylvania. The final segment explores issues tied to nationbal public safety, recalcitrance from borough officials and the National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) from offering the most basic information on the R.M Palmer facility under the rationalization it would somehow compromise their investigation (which is ongoing since March 2023).

The review segment further examines evidence that knowledge of same gas piping system is already in the public domain and questions have surfaced about its safety since the turn of the Millennium with very explicit warnings as of 2011 involving criminal convictions for PG&E (California leading utility with national influence) sometimes in 2017 and 2019.
