Kinda sick of being told how I can and can't react to things just because "oh they didn't mean it that way!" Because guess what? That's how it sounded! That's how I took it. Yes sometimes I'll overreact but don't tell me I'm not allowed to feel my feelings because they didn't mean to hurt them.

Going down to pick up my sister so she can spend the week up with me and my mom. While driving my mom looked at me and said "Don't fight with your sister. Do not be an ass."

Which, fair, I fight with my sibling all the time. So I said, "Ha! Fine I won't fight with her, I'll match energy."

She looked at me again and said "Do Not! Match energy with your sister."

"Why because you know she can be a c*nt?"

"Do not. Match energy."

My therapist said something that caught me off guard and was amazing. I was explaining how I've been getting random bursts of energy that make me pretty manic, laugh and say the most insane shit that I don't even remember.

Dead serious she looked at me and said "like the human version of zoomies."

Don't you just love when you're expected to help everyone with everything at the drop of a hat but when you beg for help on one thing all you get are excuses and "Aww that sucks, deal with it."

Executive dysfunction is such a magical thing.

My mom doesn't laugh a lot, usually the most you get out of her is a small chuckle or a quick ha.

I randomly say shit that I know would make her laugh. (Situational comedy) So when she doesn't I can't stop myself and I just yell,

"I'm funny dammit!"

Talking to my mom, just idle joking conversation and she says,

"I can't drink red bull, makes my heart go jfsjfsyofiftusihdy."

Then said, "But, I drank so much red bull when I was pregnant with you."

So I said, "And that's why I have ADHD."

"Probably." She responded without skipping a beat.

Never had a red bull but it's probably why I have ADHD apparently
