Exam Season and Ao3
*screams of frustration*
I curse you exam season! Curse you!
Anyway exams are still in full swing and I don't have much time to write and am running low on my stack of already written stuff.
So that brings up the question: Should I publish 'Fruitloops' on Ao3?
Thank you all for your support! Link

How to Adopt Your Clone Pt. 5
Previous
To say that Danny was panicking was the understatement of the century. Panicking was too light of a word for what he was feeling. It was more like catastrophizing. Honestly he thought he felt true panic and horror when his parents the Fentons caught and vivisected him as Phantom a few weeks earlier. Yet standing outside of the operating room with Ellie’s core in it he realizes that it wasn’t even close to what he was feeling right now. The feeling of her melting in his arms wasn’t something he would ever forget, no matter how hard he tries.
Panic wasn’t the only thing he was feeling at that moment either. Guilt clung to him like Johnny’s shadow clung to him. All he could think is that he should have noticed something sooner. That if he had done his rounds of making sure the Fruitloop wasn’t being loopy instead of healing that this wouldn’t have happened. Even with his internal voice, that sounded a lot like Jazz, telling him otherwise. It would tell him that the only one at fault here was the Fruitloop and that he couldn’t blame himself for taking care of himself. If he had done his rounds in that state his insides would have just fallen out. But his core would just scream louder. He had failed his Obsession of Protection and it wouldn’t let him forget that.
“Great One,” Frostbite says, entering the room while simultaneously gaining Danny’s attention.
“Frostbite!” Danny exclaimed, rushing to the yeti, “How is she? Is she-is she going to make it?”
Frostbite gives the young king a soft smile, “Young Ellie will make it but,” Frostbite frowns, “there are some complications.
Danny gulps, shakingly asking, “What kind of complications?”
The tribe leader pulled out a photo from the folder in his claws.
“This,” Frostbite began, “is Ellie’s core.”
The photo Frostbite presented showed a glowing sphere with a large crack going through it.
“As you can see her core has been cracked. This is due to the large psychological damage that Plasmius caused and Spectra amplified.
“The psychological damage?” Danny questions, “Like how my vivisection scar is taking longer to heal than normal because of how it affected me mentally?”
The ice giant nodded solemnly. “We are beings of emotion. Our physical forms are a projection of how we mentally see ourselves. It is one of the reasons it is so hard to damage us with just physical attacks. On the other hand mental and emotional attacks affect us much more, to the point that we assume physical wounds that can take much longer to heal. It is one of the reasons that ghosts like Spectra are so dangerous.”
Danny’s face falls, “Then what does that mean for starlight?”
Frostbite frowns, “It means a lot of things but most preventingly it will affect her age and need for a parent bond.
“Age? Parent bond?” Danny echoes.
“As you know, young Ellie’s physical age is different from her actual age due to Plasmius’ experiments. When one retreats into their core it is for protection and when they reform it is either to their ‘true’ form or one for protection. This will be two-fold for young Ellie. To protect her she will reform in her ‘true’ form which will be closer to her actual age.”
“How in the Ancients is being younger protect you?!” Danny asked incredulously.
“Parents,” Frostbite replied patiently.
Seeing that Danny was still confused by his explanation Frostbite continued, “The main way young are protected is through their parents. Being a young child will bring potential parents to protect them from threats by appealing to their protective instinct.”
“It is also likely that the young one will mentally regress her memories.”
Danny asks with a scratchy voice, “She will lose her memories?”
“Yes and no. She will likely repress her memories to protect herself but will regain them in time when she will better be able to handle them.”
Danny stuffs his face in his hands, trying to push away the tears and feeling of failure. That this was all his fault. If he had been smarter, faster then-
“Great One?”
Danny takes a breath he doesn’t need and tries to focus on the task at hand.
“I’m fine. Just tell me what I can do to help.”
The yeti frowns but abides by the young king’s request.
“A parent bond forms in two ways, blood or, most commonly in the Realms, adoption. For young Ellie I would suggest you being the one to form the bond as you are related by blood and already have a strong bond.”
Danny stills, shocked. He had never really considered himself for the position with his age. But the more he thought about it the more he liked the option. There weren’t many he would trust with starlight, so why not do it himself. Not to mention if he is Ellie’s parent he can help her integrate in both the living and infinite Realms. He would have to leave the Fenton house, it wouldn’t be safe for her. He was already planning on getting emancipation anyway with the help of Jazz after they caught him as Phantom. He would just have to speed up the process. Oh! And he would need to get a job! Not to mention the paperwork and a safe place to stay. There was so much to be done!
“Wait,” Danny says, coming to a realization, “What does Ellie think of this?”
As much as Danny would love to adopt Ellie right then and there, the most important thing was what Ellie wanted. He wasn’t going to take that choice away, especially not with what just happened with the Fruitloop.
“For any bond to form the relationship must be recuperated. As such even though young Ellie won’t be corporal she will have a choice to accept or reject the bond,” Frostbite replied.
Danny straightens, “Then I’ll do it.”
To be continued . . .

Historical Crush AU
When Damian was younger he was told of a being that is a threat to the League that had appeared throughout history. It was Danny, dealing with his Time God Chores. Damian never told anyone that he had a crush on the being when he was younger, wishing that a hero would come and save him.
So to say he was surprised that his childhood crush was introduced as a new Justice League member was an understatement.

To better understand this you should probably read the AU summary. Note that Danny doesn't know that he is a Halfa or even his name. I also haven't had the time to edit this with exam season so read at your own risk.
Phantom was tired. A bone-deep tired, one that aches through his entire being, centered around his chest. He has felt this way for as long as he can remember, not that he can remember much. It only seems to grow heavier every moment, making its presence known at the most inappropriate moments. But when he is scared, hurt, or around adults is when it grows the heaviest, like it was preparing to fend off an attack, aching, trying to protect something. Only lightning when he is alone or with just Superboy.
As much as he appreciates the rest of the team, care for them, there is a whisper that grows louder in their presence. It tells him to not stand out, to not catch their attention, to hide. Sometimes it even gives him a flash of an image of someone else. Other times it reminds him of a place he can never name. Tense, watching, waiting until he slips, till he shows how different, freaky he was, that he was a monster. He doesn’t know what happens if he slips. He doesn’t think he wants to find out. All he knew was that it wasn’t from the ones who held him captive but from Before. It was different somehow. Choking on shame, fear? He may not know what it is but he knows that he doesn’t want it to happen, not again.
So, he hides. Hides who he was from everyone but Superboy, no matter how tired it made him. No matter how every time he puts on his mask he breaks a little bit more. No matter how much it hurt that no one but Superboy could tell something was wrong, that he was hurt, even if he actively hid it from them.
But this? A human complexion, a beating heart, and a weird need to breath. He doesn’t think he can hide this.

How to Adopt Your Clone Pt. 4
Previous
Those words cut through her core, cracking it.
“No, no, no, no, nO, NO!” she cried, shaking her head, trying to get rid of the memories of what she did under Plasmius’ hand. The people she hurt. The lives she destroyed. The ones she kept ruining, no matter how hard she tried not to. But no matter how much she cried and raged at the world nothing could change that for the first few months of her life she was brought up by the man in front of her. That she was just as much of a he was.
Clutching her chest where her core rested Ellie felt the pain of a cracked core, her very being attacked. With Plasmius denying her agency, claiming that she was still under his thumb, he attacked her Obsession Freedom. It hurt. She didn’t want any of this. All she wanted was to be free.
“Oh, no need to cry Danielle,” Plasmius cooed, “It is only the truth.”
“As true as the possibility of Maddie divorcing Jack and marrying you!” a voice claimed, cutting through the heavy weight in Ellie’s mind.
“What?” Plasmius questions before taking an ecto-blast to the face, a small shadow falling with him. Then with a flash of light he and the shadow were sucked into the thermos.
Ellie turns towards the voice, somehow still holding onto Superman through all the chaos.
“Danny?” she croaks.
“Ellie!” Danny cried, rushing over towards the distraught clone’s side.
“Hey,” he whispers, floating near her, “How are you feeling starlight?”
Ellie sobs, not understanding why Danny would touch something as dirty as her. Didn’t he know that she was a monster? That all she ever did was hurt people? She hurt him! She lied to him, lead him right into Plasmius’ hands to torture! So why-
“Because I love you Ellie,” Danny says with a sad smile, “You aren’t a monster, Vlad is.”
What?
“You’re mumbling starlight.”
“That doesn’t, doesn’t-” Ellie tried to say, quickly losing control of her words, the weight of the day setting in.
“Ellie,” Danny says softly yet firmly, “What happened with Vlad wasn’t your fault. He abused and manipulated you. Told you that it was the only way to save you and your siblings. You were only a few months old and scared. It was never your fault.”
Ellie clings to those words like they were a life line, hoping beyond hope that Danny was telling the truth. That she wasn’t a monster but, even then doubt creeped in.
“Now I need you to breathe,” Danny says, seemingly ignoring her incredulous look, “Yeah, yeah, I know neither of us need to breathe but it will help. The Fruitloop was working with Spectra this time making everything ten times worse. 0 out of 10 would not recommend.”
Ellie chuckled through her tears. Spectra was a bitch, but her powers were top notch. It would explain why the Creep’s words cut so deeply this time. What the explanation did not do was make horror go away, or why her chest felt like it was on fire.
“Now let’s get you to Frostbite. Spectra already put a few ghosts in the hospital during her escape, so we should get you checked-”
Ellie tried listening to the rest of what Danny was saying but everything started to sound and feel like static. Her vision blurred and her eyes felt heavy, like everything weighed 10 times more than usual. It felt like she was back in that horrid lab, melting into a pile of goo just like her siblings. But the worst part was her chest. It felt like it was split in two, her very being cracked open.
“Starlight? Ellie! Ellie!” Danny screamed as Ellie’s consciousness faded.

Fruitloops
“We’re home!” Conner bellows, posing like he just won the Super Bowl, with Tim behind him looking exasperated.
“Welcome home,” Danny says from the kitchen. “I’m just finishing up the Fudge.”
Hearing the word Fudge Conner cheers before running to the kitchen door. “I call licking the spoon!”
Tim freezes before rushing to catch up with Conner. Danny’s Phantom Fudge was legendary and there was no way he was going to give up the right to lick the spoon without a fight. Conner may have super powers and a head start but he didn’t free Bruce from being stuck in the time stream with his boyfriends by just his good looks, though they certainly helped.
He looks around to see what can give him an advantage in his quest for legendary Fudge when he sees something that causes his heart to drop. League of Assassins garb peeking out through the hallways closet.
His mind began to work in overtime trying to figure out what this could mean. While it seems like one of the League’s assassins is for some reason hiding in his closet, that also makes very little sense. If one were here they would never make such a mistake. It could be one of Danny or Conner’s souvenirs that they liberated from the League when the three of them blew up a bunch of their bases. But that doesn’t explain why they would be in one of their apartment closets, they keep that stuff in the Nest with the rest of the stuff connected to their alter-egos. Though Danny does like to bring some of his inventions here to fiddle with sometimes, he usually phases them into things to hide them when he isn’t working on them.
As Tim prepares for a fight while trying to figure out the assassin grab Danny phases his head through the kitchen wall. “Tim want some Fudge?” he asks before looking at what caught Tim’s interest. “Why are you looking at where I tied up the Cultist Fruitloop?”
Tim’s eyes widen before turning to where Danny’s head was poking through the wall. “Ras?!” Tim squeaks. This catches attention from where he was gorging himself with Fudge. “Ra’s here?!” he asks while rushing towards them, getting ready to fight.
Danny phases through the rest of the wall before shrugging like he didn’t just say there was an immortal leader of a cult of assassins tied up in their closet.
“Well, he kind of just showed up and started ranting about how he would make you,” Danny says while gesturing towards Tim, “his, so I knocked him out with the anti-creep stick and tied him up before shoving him in the closet.”
Tim wanted to bang his head against the wall and from the look of it Conner wasn’t that far behind him in that thought. This was Ras for Ancients sake and here Danny was acting like he was some common thug.
“You don’t seem very concerned,” Conner said, stating the obvious.
Danny shrugs again, “Well yeah, I phased his weapons into me and tied him up. Plus the Original Fruitloop does stuff like this all the time. Doesn’t yours do it too?”
And that, that made sense. It wasn’t that Danny wasn’t taking it seriously, it was that he was used to it. They all were. Each of them had some older Creep that was obsessed with them. He had Ras to deal with, Conner had Luthor, and Danny had been dealing with Masters for years. Honestly, if Masters or Luthor showed up and acted like Ras did he would have tied them up and stuffed them in the closet too.
“Just tell us sooner next time,” Tim sighs.
Danny chuckles nervously while rubbing the back of his head., “Yeah, will do. I just kind of forgot since he showed up in the middle of me making the Fudge.”
Conner gasps, leaning against the wall like he had just heard the most sacrilegious of news. “He interrupted the sacred ritual that is the making of Fudge?!?!” Conner then continues with his hand on his heart, “The audacity.”
Danny snorts while Tim facepalms. It’s moments like this that made him wonder why he loves these two idiots.
“Why is he tied up like a pig?” Conner asks after opening the closet, looking at Ras.
“Because he is one,” Danny absentmindedly replied.
And then it was moments like this that he remembers why.

This is my own take of the incident that caused Scarecrow not being allowed to be around less than 10 feet of Jack Fenton. If the original prompters are okay with it I would like to post it on Ao3. Constructive criticism is welcome as long as in is that, constructive. Also Jack Fenton goes by Jack Nightingale to thrown Maddie off their trail. Hope you like it.
Himbo Turned Beast
Jonathan Crane, otherwise known as Scarecrow, didn’t mean to fear gas one Jack Nightingale. After all he didn’t experiment on his friends, at least not until they pissed him off. He was just so frustrated, meeting a creative roadblock for his latest strain of fear gas. The new strain was supposed to make it so those gassed would face their greatest fears with all their senses, not just sight and hearing. It could make it so if their fear ‘touched’ them that they would feel it as if it was really there. So they could ‘smell’ the carnage around them, ‘feel’ the stickiness and warmth of blood, or any number of things. It would bring his fear gas to new heights, an unexplored horizon of fear. That is if he could get the formula right.
Deciding that staying in his lab obsessing over his latest formula wouldn’t get him anywhere, Dr. Crane left towards the Iceberg Lounge to unwind. Hoping that relaxing with his fellow rouges and resident himbo would give him some insight or atleast relax him enough that he could later look at his formula with fresh eyes. Or, as unlikely as it is, have the others look at it. Though the idea that the knuckleheads that he hung out with would figure out what he couldn’t made him snort. He would admit, at least in the privacy of his own mind, that his friends were geniuses in their own right. But it was in their own right, not bioweapons of fear. The only one he would even consider talking to about his projects was Harely, after all as a psychiatrist she had plenty to talk about people’s reactions to fear.
As Crane mused about the likely possibility of his friends understanding his work, he finally reached his destination, Iceberg Lounge. Even outside he could hear the ruckus his fellow rouges were causing, probably another fight that they will either forget about in a few days or hold a grudge about until another apocalypse happens. He found it fascinating how people either drop or stubbornly hold on to said grudges in the face of fear, like how Eddie and Bane teamed up when faced with the bats, even if they were fighting like cats and dogs just moments before.
Taking a few deep breaths to fortify his mind so he could face his friends’ specific brand of chaos, Crane opened the door of the bar only to be immediately be faced with one Jack Nightingale cheerfully debating with Fries, or Mr. Freeze, about some type of weapon schematics.
It was moments like that that made him wonder if Nightingale was truly as oblivious as he previously thought. After all, talking about the schematics about different types of weapons typically made people think that you were either a rogue or rogue in the making, not that they usually weren’t right. Yet Nightingale acted as if it was the most normal thing in the world, expected even. If it weren’t for how much of a bumbling oaf who couldn’t realize that his new friends were rouges he would have thought he was a villain that he had just never heard of.
“Ah,” Jack Nightingale exclaimed, brightening, before turning on a worn bar stool to face him. “Jon! It’s good to see you again buddy!” With how much Nightingale was beaming at him you would think that they haven’t seen each other for years, not less than a week ago.
“Nightingale,” Crane replies with a nod, slipping on to the stool next to Nightingale. At Crane’s reply Nightingale took on an expression of a kicked puppy. “Oh come on Jon we’re friends! Just call me Jack. Everyone does!” Jack said exuberantly while patting Crane’s back so hard it gave Crane bruises. To this Crane spits out, “Jack then,” if only to save his back from furth mistreatment.
Fries, having gotten annoyed from being interrupted from a fascinating discussion about a new theoretical freeze ray, decided to throw his two cents into the discussion in a way he knew would annoy Crane. “So Jack I heard earlier that your son came up with some interesting nicknames for the Rogues, specifically the one who wears a burlap sack, Scarecrow I believe?” Fries said while looking straight into Crane’s eyes.
Crane glares right with such ferocity that it was a surprise that Fries didn’t just melt into a puddle right then and there. Jack, oblivious to the silent battle of wills perked up at the mention of his son, always happy to take a chance to brag about his kids.
“That’s right!” Jack cheered, waving his arms about, “Before we moved to Gotham Jazzy-pants forced Danny-o and Ellie-sweets to research all of Gotham’s heroes and villains so that we can be as safe as can be.”
Hearing this, Crane took special interest in how he said they research everyone. That begs the question on how he still didn’t seem to recognize  them as the rogues of Gotham.
Jack, once again oblivious to Crane’s musing, continued his proud speech about his kids. “They even researched the Rogues’ most prevalent ways of attack so they could create counter measures, going so far as to make it into a little booklet. Though,” Jack sheepishly said while rubbing the back of his head, “I lost mine.”
Well that at least answers why he doesn’t recognize them.
“Don’t tell them that though,” Jack rushed out, waving his arms out in front of him as if it could stop them from telling his kids, “If they found out I lost it before I even finished reading it Jazzy-pants would lecture me about responsibility again.”
Fries, noticing that they were getting off track said, “And what did Danny say about Scarecrow?”
“Oh yeah,” Jack exclaimed, moving past his embarrassment while simultaneously not noticing Crane’s aborting motions, “When Danny-o heard about him he wouldn’t stop giving Jazzy these incredulous looks before saying, ‘So, what you’re saying is that he is basically a Discount Fright Knight?’”
“Discount Fright Knight?” Fries echoed incredulously.
“Yep!” Jack replied, “Fright Knight was one of my old town’s rogues. He is the embodiment of fear. Scarecrow isn’t even close to his level, so Danny-o really hit the nail on the head there. The look of realization on Jazzy and Ellie’s faces were adorable too! Ellie won’t even refer to him as Scarecrow anymore, just calling him variations of Discount Fright Knight, like ‘Knock-off Frighty’ or ‘Off-brand Fright’. It is honestly the cutest thing!”
Jack continued to ramble about his kids that he didn’t notice that the whole bar silenced itself and turned to stare. If it weren’t for the absolute fury coursing through his veins, Crane would have been delighted by everyone’s reactions. The fear and horror were palpale on their faces, making them wonderful subjects to observe. But no matter how he usually in the face of others fear, all he could feel was burning rage. Usually he could take it as a joke coming from a friend but he was already at the end of his rope due to the stress of creating his latest strain of fear toxin. And now, being called a two-bit villain? He snaps.
When everyone but Jack notices the look in Crane’s eyes they immediately duck for cover and grab one of the gas masks on hand.
Fries, noticing his mistake of egging Jack on to unknowingly insult Crane, tries to get a gas mask already protected by his own cryo-suit. But by the time he was able to, it was already too late. Jack had already inhaled some of the fear toxin.
The whole bar could tell when the fear toxin finally registered in Jack’s system. His expression of confusion immediately changed into one of pure terror. He mumbled out, “Maddie” trembling before turning to look behind him. Once he did his demeanor changed. He still looked terrified, like one wrong move would be the end, but he also looked determined, ready to protect the something unseen to everyone but him behind him with everything he had, even if it cost him his life.
Jack steadied himself on the bar counter, using his bulk like he was hiding something. “I won’t let you cut them open again Maddie,” Jack stated. And then, he lunged.
The following moments after that were pure chaos. Food flew through the air, tables were used as shields, and chairs were used as weapons. In the middle of that chaos stood Jack Nightingale fighting with such desperation you would think he was dying. Guns, lasers, bats, knuckle dusters, grenades, it didn’t matter what type of weapon it was, he somehow had them, pulling them out of his jumpsuit turned exo-suit while screaming about how “Maddie” would never hurt his kids again as long as he was there. Worse, he knew how to use those weapons too, even while swearing the unseen “Maddie” and “GIW” out.
In the end, after hours of himbo turned beast, someone was able to get a lucky shot of tranquilizer of fear gas antidote, but even while the antidote was working through Jack’s system he struggled to protect his kids from the unseen “Maddie”.
After what was later referred to as the Himbo Turned Beast incident the rogues agreed to two things. One, Crane was not allowed within 10 feet of Jack. Two, they will protect the Himbo’s children with every inch of their life if they ever see or meet “Maddie”.
