Writing Prompt #12
A Soulmate AU where the character’s skin is littered with what people think of their soulmate. The adjectives/words can become more clear and bold or can fade away over time, depending on how strongly others feel those words about that person or if their feelings weaken/change.
Maybe a character is heavily misunderstood, so their soulmate only has negative words tattooed across their skin?
Or the most nervous/insecure/anxious member of the friend group has the most beautiful words tattooed on their soulmate?

Writing Prompt #11
Everyone has a platonic soulmate, and if you suddenly lose contact with them (eg stop calling, stop seeing in person, they move away etc), you experience withdrawal symptoms, such as headaches, feeling numb and restless, trouble sleeping, aches/pains, and mood swings. If they die, the pain is intolerable.

Writing Prompt #10
Pick at least three characters (at random) from the main and supporting casts of a show/fandom, and write them as a found family.
(Bonus points if they’re characters who wouldn’t usually interact with each other.)

Writing Prompt #9
Character A: masc, reserved, ‘don’t fight me’, loner, but can name every flower
Character B: fem, extrovert, sunshine, but likes listening to heavy metal
(Aka grumpy x sunshine, but without the grumpy, everything’s fluffy, and nothing hurts.)

Writing Prompt #7
Character A is crushing/pining on their rival-to-friend, whilst their best friend, Character B, is crushing/pining on their close childhood friend.
However, both of them are dating other people (or maybe it’s just hooking up or a misunderstanding), so Characters A and B fake date to make their crushes jealous.

Writing Prompt #6
A Kingdom is neutral in a war between surrounding Nations as the ‘Barbaric Empire’ is a centuries-long ally and Sister-Nation to theirs. However, the King is optimistic for peace, and tries to stay civil with all the Kingdom’s bordering Nations, ensuring that his Kingdom continues to act as a trading and information hub for technological advancements and economic gain.
Some time passes, the war worsening dramatically, and the King and Queen die. Their daughter becomes Queen and marries the heir of the evil Kingdom as he is her childhood friend and closest confidant. With his influence, the “neutral” Kingdom enters the war, and the new Queen becomes cold, calculated, and ruthless.
One day, the castle is raided by another kingdom’s military, and the Queen, along with her husband, younger brother, and their highest ranked advisors, are captured. The Prince is nothing like his sister and brother-in-law, and is the personification of sunshine, winning over the hearts of both the Prince (who led the military which captured the royals) and his boyfriend (his right hand man, knight/bodyguard).
(Bonus points if it’s set in the omegaverse or the three men are soulmates.)

Writing Prompt #5
The villain is a deadbeat parent, so their kid tracks down the hero’s civilian identity in order to get close to them, thinking it would make the villain jealous/angry/a better parent.
However, after forming a genuine platonic bond, the hero reveals the fact that they’re the hero, and takes the kid on as their apprentice — not knowing the child already knew they were the hero and is their rival’s/enemy’s child. They spend almost every day by each other’s sides, so when the hero finds out the kid is neglect by their parents, they adopt the kid, and raise them as their own.
The villain’s kid finally feels like they belong somewhere and have a home, trusting the hero completely, and even falling in love with their kid. Now, they don’t want the villain to notice, and do everything they can to keep their identity secret.

Writing Prompt #4
Character A is a hero and their parent/s run a hero agency/organisation.
Character B is Character A’s non-hero friend (high school/college friend maybe?), who Character A asks to woo Character C.
Character C is a new general/higher-up at the villain organisation/agency. Character B doesn’t feel good about fake flirting with them, but Character A begs them over and over again, until they reluctantly agree.
Character B is Character C’s type, so accepts their advances and flirts back. They exchange numbers, go on dates, and move in together. Character B catches genuine feelings for Character C, but pretends to Character A that they’re still only pretending to like them.
The more Character C opens up about both their personal and work lives, the harder Character B finds it to report information back to Character A about the villain agency/organisation.
Character B realises that Character C isn’t the real villain and that the hero agency/organisation is. Will they turn on their friend and become a triple agent, or continue to betray their lover?

Writing Prompt #3
The “prophecy child” reaches early adulthood, but dies before the mission/event/conflict takes place.
They believe the prophecy is a hoax. The mystics/sorcerers must have misunderstood the message/magic. There is no threat.
But the “prophecy child” has a child of their own, and that child inherits the prophecy. They’re just an extension of their parent, and now that their parent is dead, the responsibility lies with the child to do what their parent would have done if they were still alive.

Writing Prompt #2
After some misunderstandings and tension between both sides, an aggressive rivalry and conflict breaks out between a group of heroes and the vigilante/anti-hero and their team/found-family.
The vigilante’s parents were agents, who worked with one of the heroes, before they died.
The vigilante looks, fights, speaks, and acts like their parents, but the hero looks at them like they mean nothing to them and as if they are a stranger.
The hero watched a video of the vigilante “dying”, and no amount of therapy has stopped the family’s death from haunting them.
