still thinking about that r/hypotheticalsituation post where someone was like "what if a potato chip spawned somewhere randomly in the world. and every hour the number of potato chips at that location would double. and the only way to get rid of them for good would be to eat all of the potato chips before they doubled again." and someone calculated that it would only take like, 48 hours of people ignoring a weird pile of potato chips before an absolutely irreconcilable number of potato chips was blanketing a city.

and then people were like "no wait if it spawns randomly in the world, it's highly likely it would be in an ocean" and then people were debating whether there were enough small fish swimming at the surface in the open ocean that would be able to eat a potato chip and thus save humanity from the potato chip apocalypse.

Hey guys, just one thing before anything else: this blog is, has always been, and will always be openly anti-Israel, anti-Zionist, and firmly aligned with the Palestinian cause. This is a sustained, systematic process of ethnic cleansing, brutal occupation, and extermination meticulously planned and executed for over 75 years. Israel is the modern embodiment of settler colonialism. And it’s not hiding. It flaunts it —with pride— backed by the financial, military, diplomatic, and media machinery of the U.S., the EU, and every capitalist power that needs an armed outpost to maintain its grip on the region.

Since the moment I became politically aware, I have been unequivocally anti-Zionist. I couldn’t care less about the mainstream narrative or the emotional blackmail that tries to conflate anti-Zionism with antisemitism, a disgusting tactic designed to silence legitimate, necessary criticism. What Israel is doing is not “self-defense.” It’s not “Jewish self-determination.” It’s colonial violence. It’s apartheid. It’s military occupation. It’s genocide. Israel does not deserve peace. This is not a neutral space. If you support Israel, or even if you dare to suggest that “both sides are to blame,” kindly leave. Don’t read my blog, don’t interact with me, don’t give me your fake humanitarian takes that only activate when white settlers are hurt but stay silent when thousands of Palestinian children are bombed to death. I don’t want anyone around me who isn’t clearly, loudly, unapologetically anti-Zionist. I’m not interested in dialogue with people who excuse crimes against humanity. There is nothing to debate, there is only the need to take a stand.

And if you’re not sure how to do that, let me make it clear: Free Palestine from the river to the sea. End the occupation. Dismantle the Israeli colonial state. Justice for the victims. International trials and convictions for the perpetrators. Political, economic, and legal sanctions against Israel and all of its enablers. And most of all, a total break with the colonial logic that has allowed this to happen with complete impunity for decades.

Because anti-Zionism isn’t just a political stance, it’s a moral imperative. And in this space, like in many others, there is no room for fence-sitting. Human rights aren’t up for discussion, sorry not sorry.

Hey just wanted to share a HC/au with you, since I thought it's amusing and I liked your idea of German Snape too ! Mine is that if Jily lived (at least a bit longer) their second kid would be a carbon copy of lily visually but full on James from the inside. The kid would be proud, loud and mean af. "My brother is the chosen one, who the hell do you think you are?! ". A real little asshole. And prob being mean to Slytherin's as revenge for getting orphaned.harry would often play the big brother role but always getting embarrassed for them trying to get attention.

Severus thought Harry was a horrible experience bc he looks like James and is a bit like him. But no it would be worse, psychological on a new level .

Every time I see "people laughed at Snape being bullied in SWM because he was a NaZi and SuPpOrTeD gEnOcIdE" I feel like I am transported into a parallel reality. because there is no fucking way someone uses this logic. have those people ever left their houses? interacted with people? with teenagers, especially in closed environments like boarding schools? do they understand that Voldemort supporters, who were very numerous, much more so than Order members, also studied in Hogwarts and didn't spawn from thin air? do they understand Snape is a muggle raised, poor, awkward half-blood with a muggle surname and muggleborn best friend, in a school with plenty of actual pure-blooded aristocrats? do they understand even Sirius (!), who managed to watch Snape during exams, didn't know Snape became a DE? do they understand Harry was bullied many times by a large number of students, and by their logic that makes him a "bigot who deserved it"? do they understand they are basically saying "if you are bullied, that's your fault" to every bullying victim who is possibly reading their post? do they understand people supported James after he openly and explicitly said he bullies Snape for the crime of existing? do they understand they use the words "nazi" and "genocide" in disrespectful, manipulative and antiscientific way? do they understand a victim who defends themselves is still a victim?

Okay, first of all, thank you for sending it to me anon, because that poster not reblogging me, not tagging me, not mentioning me, and turning the reblogs off is really funny.

I'll put the post under the link, my comment to it (which basically said everything I wanted to on the matter), and an amazingly deep and thoughtful analysis the user @shieldhearted provided on Snape's charachter under the initial post for the context, guys.

I don't know if you want to have a conversation about it, shieldhearted – I personally am not eager to have a conversation with a person who is openly sexist, lookist (in their other post) and isn't even trying to understand the sourse material, but I tend to respond when I am adressed, especially in a clearly confrontational manner, so there's that.
