The darkest whiskey

What is it about the night, we feel so alone. Drinking to pass the time, but it's more than that. In the darkest corner, we find solace but to what avail? Drink until the whiskey is gone, chasing thoughts you thought had been long lost. Fighting to make it through another night of drinking and feeling alone.

Im sorry,

I know what we did was bad,

I wanted to see what we could have had.

Your lips, cold like ice but im warmed, slowly and surely until reality sinks in. 

I remember this is only one night we are living in. 

And i feel, feel sick, and sad for tomorrow we do the same dance,

But no back to him you go, I pretend as if i can understand.

Words are pleasure, Tried and True

Perplexing and simple, old and new.

time slips away, we live our lives by the by.

So i drink to see the words, and to feel them too, but whats harder still is placing them on paper while im distracted by you. 

I day dream of water, birds and tree’s,and hate coming back to this sadness falling on my knees, 

But all the while, remembering that words are pleasure,

 tried and true.

Food for thought.

As of late I have been thinking of how we obtain our meat. Now I'll be the first to admit it, I'm a meat Eater. I love the idea behind being vegetarian and vegan, so on and so forth but I'm a weightlifter so that doesn't really fit into my diet. But with that being said it truly hurts my heart to see how animals are treated, like they are nothing, like they are not a life that we should cherish, I find myself thinking about how American Indians used to hunt, and when they make their kill they would pray over the animal and thank it for the sacrifice that it made to help sustain the individual. So I'm challenging myself to be truly thankful for my food, for the sacrifice made, and to be more cognizant of how my food is processed, for example I will gladly pay more for something that I know was treated with respect. Think about it folks.
