Bellara: Yeah! Hit him again, Rook! Bellara: Nice one, Rook! Emmrich: Well done! Emmrich: A solid blow! Neve: He's not putting up much of a fight, is he? Neve: Oh, nice shot! Davrin: Is that all he's got? Davrin: This'll be easy! Taash: Hey! Nice one! Taash: Hit him again! Harding: Ha, nice! He deserved that! Harding: Ooh, that was a good thwack!

What Deku doesn't understand is that the “League of Villains” encapsulates exactly who Tenko - the Crying Child Deku was so adamant about saving - is. He thinks reaching out a hand, smashing that hatred, and saving Tenko means getting Tenko to abandon the League. He is completely wrong - and he would've realized this if he just talked to Shigaraki in all the time he fought against Shigaraki. And listened to what Tenko said in Chapter 418.
The League of Villains is the group Shigaraki Tomura created in order to wreck shit and kill All Might and bring down Hero Society. Shigaraki picked the name and picked the purpose and picked its members and he leads them towards the apocalypse—
—and this is also the group of outcasts that are his comrades and friends; that he gathered and created a place for, where they can be themselves in a society that ruthlessly denied them that. He accepted Twice without care for his insanity and inability to use his quirk, never pushed Twice to do more than he was able to. He accepted Spinner despite being a Stain fanboy and having a weak, nearly useless quirk, and promised him the destruction of the world that hurt him; for all of League. When Toga was pushed by the other members to choose a Villain name despite wanting to live as herself, as Toga Himiko, Shigaraki spoke up in indirect defense of her choice, providing himself as an example of someone who didn't use a Villain name, and who can override the boss' words? Dabi was allowed to come and go as he pleased, and although he was the most aloof member, by the end, he was declaring the world burn for "our" sake - plural; the League's. Mr. Compress believed in Shigaraki enough to entrust an ancestor's dream and family legacy to him; when surrounded by Heroes at Jaku, he was willing to die to save Shigaraki, to let him escape.
The League is a collection of people that Shigaraki cares for - that he saved. That was always the surest sign that ‘Tenko’, sweet and kind and hero-aspiring boy, was alive inside.
Without the League, without having seen the time Shigaraki spent with the League, a reader can just write off Shigaraki and say there’s nothing left in there worth saving. The League is literally the evidence for Tenko have still existed and that Shigaraki was "worth" saving, long before we ever saw ‘Inner Tenko’.
But Deku doesn't understand that.
To go further: outside of the League, Shigaraki still had his distorted but undeniable kindness and fairness. I've spoke about it before, and sorry for repeating myself, but even towards his Villain enemies, he gives them consideration: Shigaraki left Overhaul crippled, but 100 chapters later, he's still continuing Overhaul's work - the quirk erasing bullets - and even laments that Overhaul would be disappointed when Shigaraki sees some of the bullets destroyed. All For One at Jaku tries to take over his body, at the time seemingly only a phantom voice in his head, but Shigaraki still acknowledges that he's grateful AFO took him in. It's only when AFO oversteps that again and again, taking possession of his body, that Shigaraki would tear the AFO vestige from inside out and mock him when the opportunity arises.
And there's ReDestro, and the importance of the ending of MVA. RD and his army picks a fight with Shigaraki - something that Shigaraki explicitly points out; the blame for what happened to Deika is on largely them. RD challenged Shigaraki and the League; blackmailed them, kidnapped their broker, and attacked their pitiful 6-member team with a town-sized militia; insulted Shigaraki, destroyed The Hands, tried to kill him. Shigaraki had every reason to just dust RD while the man was sitting there bleeding out with his legs cut off. Just finish him off without even giving the guy last words. It was more than fair.
But Shigaraki didn't. He went and talked to RD. To mock him for picking this fight, but it was still a talk. And when RD acknowledge his defeat and kowtowed, Shigaraki let him live. Took over his army and resources, but RD was still alive and even made lieutenant.
Without this - if Shigaraki had just dusted RD after defeating him - we would have only seen Shigaraki as a conquerer and not someone who can be reasoned with. He would just be AFO with different minions. And Shigaraki wasn't.
He can be brutal, and he seems like he's destroying for evil fun; but Shigaraki has his compassion and justice. A Villainous Hero for the Villains. It's why he destroys; it's why he doesn't regret his actions, why he wishes good luck to Deku to continue it, even after Deku smashed his core of anger and hatred. Shigaraki saved his League, and he refuses to disavow doing so. Because he shouldn't.
And Deku just doesn't understand that.

S1E9 TimeTravel AU - Jayce enlists Jinx to blow up the HexGates. Cait and Vi bond over their siblings going crazy. Silco is tired.
Ekko arrives a bit earlier just as Jayce is shooting Viktor in the chest. Jayce gets sent back in time somehow from the combined power of the Z-Drive and the Commune's collective death.
Jayce's consciousness rockets back in time and splices with his younger self just as he's finished 'negotiating' with Silco. Still reeling from his Arcane induced-trauma and killing his partner as well as who knows how many people by proxy, he arrives half feral and about 99.7% convinced he's either hallucinating or in Runeterra's version of Hell.
Jayce, canonically suicidal, Talis comes to the conclusion that he needs to blow up the Hex Gates and that the resulting explosions will either jar him out of his hallucination or finally put him out his misery and let him join Viktor.
Unfortunately, after months spent in isolation in an apocalyptic future, Jayce has gained an unfortunate habit of talking to himself as he figures out problems.
And Silco has been standing there the whole time.
Silco reiterates that he's not going to give up Jinx and Jayce just goes 'I don't give a fuck about her anymore' and attempts to leave.
Silco is absolutely befuddled by Jayce's complete personality change, but refuses to show it. After raising Jinx, he's learned a few methods for bringing people back from the edge. And considering his investment in getting access to the Hex Gates, he is very unwilling to let Jayce just walk away.
Especially when Jayce mentions he's supposed to be dead.
----
Silco convinces Jayce he'll need an explosions expert and that he'd never be able to blow up all the Hex Gates by himself. Jayce holds resentment for Jinx blowing up his partner and pseudo-sister's mom but had calmed down enough to realize that if he was in the past, it would be better to be close to Jinx and prevent history from repeating itself.
Cue Silco and Sevika having to wrangle Arcane-ified Jayce and Shimmered Jinx and prevent them both from causing Hexplosions.
Jayce, dis-illusioned with the Council, decides it would be faster to just pull a Viktor and 'not ask for permission' before destroying Hextech. He tells Silco that if he's willing to help destroy the Hex Gates, he'll give him his nation of Zaun -- and pardon Jinx.
---
Elsewhere, in Piltover, Viktor has collapsed in the lab and entered a coma. There's a strange pattern on his chest and back. Almost as if he'd been shot with a very powerful energy blast from a very large hammer. But no injury, it was as if it had already been healed.
---
When Jinx kidnaps Cait and Vi, Jayce is the one to ask her to spare Cait and let her leave. But also, the one to stop Cait from shooting Jinx.
"Stand down, Sprout."
"What are you doing! She's killed people Jayce."
"So have I. And I need her." Jayce is still suffering hallucinations and time-travel-induced jetlag, so in the tense moment he forget when he is and admits to killing Salo and blowing a hole through Viktor's chest.
Caitlyn is more shocked by the latter, "You-you killed Viktor?" She liked Viktor as a friend, they got along despite their differences. "Why? Why would you do that!"
Jayce, dissociating and in complete sincerity, "Because I needed to save him."
Following that insane response, Jayce slowly walks toward Cait with a pleading look in his eye, "Jinx is going to help me destroy HexTech and then we can save everyone. And then I can focus on curing Viktor!"
Cait looks into Jayce's -her brother's- eyes and understands Vi a little bit more, her desperation to see the good in Jinx.
Caitlyn can see her brother in this stranger's eyes, but he feels miles away. She has no idea how she's going to reach him.

"If you're tired all the time, why don't you just rest?"
Well Susan ideally I would be able to take as much rest and sleep as needed but not only does rest like not help at all there's also something called ✨societal expectations✨ that chronically ill and disabled people aren't exempt from because apparently our very existence is an 'excuse' to 'get out of doing work.'

People making fun of tone tags really fucked me up. For awhile it felt like everyone i knew and follow was using them and even though *some* people were kind of annoying about them it really did help me pick up tone and intent over text
But since everyone kind of threw a fit and decided “uhmm tone tags actually ARENT helpful and are MORE confusing than just using your words!” I feel like I have a much harder time trying to intuit intent over text than ever before (from people I don’t know very very well).
Like i feel like the point of people complaining was that “hey tone tags arent all that helpful for some people, so let’s be more clear about what we’re talking about, be less overly-friendly towards people we don’t know, and if anything just state our intent” but that didn’t happen!
And now it’s really got me thinking that I might have autism because this along with a lot of other shit going on in my life I’m starting to realize I may have an issue I have been simply chalking up to undiagnosed ADHD for over 15 years.

Do you think Vegeta and Bulma just had a one-night stand, or were they hooking up regularly? And once Vegeta found out Bulma was pregnant with his son, do you think they continued the relationship, or did they cut it off?
My headcanon has always been that it was a string of affairs that Vegeta was angry at himself for having every time he let himself be distracted by desire, but it probably only lasted a few months until Bulma found out she was pregnant.
(I very much enjoy the idea that she uses birth control and didn’t think anything of having some fun — but it’s just not effective against Saiyans even though that’s not really how birth control works. Just for the Parks and Rec “I warned you about this, standard birth control methods aren’t usually effective against a Swanson” brand of joke.)
I enjoy the idea that they had a gnarly argument and a falling out after Bulma told him and he had a deeply dispassionate response to it, and it was several months before they started interacting again. But I hc neither of them were interested in more trysts, and their relationship went back to being strictly professional with underlying concern for one another, however subtle those may have been (until Perfect Cell happened and Vegeta got Reality Checked real hard).
I think things got Very Real once the baby arrived and Vegeta spent even less time around them, to the point that Bulma knew he’d been working hard but had no idea where he was when the others gathered to greet the androids.
Part of my fondness for the birth control hc stems from it being a setup for another hc of mine — that she reformulated her birth control to be effective against a Saiyan after finding out she was pregnant, while Vegeta had assumed that aspect of their relationship was Over.
I am always entertained by the idea that a majority of Vegeta’s culture shock on Earth is things being so forgiving, when he’s from a culture of ‘Failure is Final.' Him having the expectation that this is also true of personal relationships — vs Bulma whose last and only serious relationship was on-again-off-again for Fifteen Years Straight.
I imagine their dynamic in this era is very V: I thought you wished I was dead. B: Yeah, but I don't want you to like, die, you know what I mean? V: V: No?

JUMPSCARE! Unsollicited advice: if you have ADHD and/or autism, learning how to rely on yourself to regulate your nervous system should be the first self-project you do after diagnosis or whenever you're ready to. All else will come after.
And I don't mean "become a 100% self-sufficient island-individual with no need for external help to regulate" because NO ONE can do that and no one should! Might as well try to erode a brick wall with your tongue.
I mean, learn how to trust yourself. You are your primary caregiver, neurodivergency, disability, chronic illness or not. You have to teach yourself how to take your own hand and guide yourself through things as best as you possibly can/your circumstance will allow. And then - when you inevitably fail - you have to give yourself the grace to not let it shatter your self-worth. Not every failure has to say something about you. You don't have to make it a Big Thing every time. (Trick is to also not make it a Big Thing when you do make failure a Big Thing and thus fail to fail correctly god I love adhd /sarc)
Self-regulation is not control, it is not never having melt- or shutdowns, it is not never getting angry, never losing it and it is not always being happy and never getting over- or understimulated. Self-regulation is knowing what to do when those things happen and then doing them.
Knowing what to do is a process of trying, experimentation and figuring stuff out. Then actually doing them is a process of facing your fears and judgement. But in all honesty, most "normal" people in my life had less judgement and more of a "holy shit i'm allowed to do this??" feeling about it and that is a KICK to experience.

Its pretty disappointing that a few years after I find that I relate a lot to intersex people as a perisex trans man that trans infighting has started to hit them as well.
Before the issue was more "no, stop saying you're brain intersex or that trans people are inherently intersex. Its harmful, not only because intersex people don't have much language to describe themselves, but because it's used to justify transition when medical care is forced on them."
Now it's "I don't care if your relationship to assigned sex and gender is complicated, squeeze yourself into binary language!" Like... really? We've lived our lives in defiance around people telling us we're something we're not and squeezing us into boxes that don't fit, and I'm seeing shit like this?
It even defaults to treating perisex nb people like shit because it tries to define their lives in a general sense without letting them define themselves.
There's a newer term called transnormativity. I think a lot of people here need to learn about it and think about how it can also apply to race, socioeconomic status, etc. But here, specifically, intersex trans people or intersex people in general.
