i just finished reading a 200k+ fic. it feels just like when i finish a good book that got me invested for days. i was smiling like an idiot and genuinely couldn't stop reading. bonus points for the fact that it had my favourite trops.

i swear, most of the times, fanfics don't get enough recognition. some of them are just as good (and often even better) as published books.

i actually can't quite believe i don't seem to find and pynch fanfic about ronan telling adam what he found out about himself in greywaren and adam being hilariously dramatic about it but also so in love with the weird creature he is

the worst feeling in the world is when you find a fanfic with the most interesting summery, your favourite tags, the perfect amount of words and so many kudos. you save it up for later in the day when you can read it with no rush and enjoy it from the first word to the last. but then you open it and there's something weird about the characters or the dialogues or the story is not at all what you expected and you can't even bring yourself to finish it

nonono wait i just saw this on instagram and had never realised it. how could the hyde get to eugene if it was during the raveN dance and tyler was there with wednesday? maybe i just don't remember the scene, did tyler leave earlier while everyone else was still there? still, isn't it suspicious that wednesday didn't even realise he was suddenly gone?

yknow what i really want from s2? tyler and xavier bantering. yes, my end goal is to see them as boyfriends but i don't trust the screenwriters so i'm not getting my hopes up. still, i want them to actually interact in s2 because you know how sarcastic they could be while talking to each other. neither of them would in any way hide the fact that they don't like each other or so they say and that would make the funniest interactions between characters.

imagine them arguing and all their friends thinking they will end up killing each other. but still they're somehow forced to being around each other a lot and very quickly they start to sound like a married couple more than anything.

i would PAY to see that.

that's if the people writing wednesday are going to give both xavier and tyler a character arc and not just make them the pining bidimensional guy and the predictable vilain...

i find it very funny how all the spotify playlists based on my favourite characters share the same songs. i don't think i've ever seen one without daddy issues and afraid by the neighbourhood or boys don't cry by the cure.

does it ever happen to you that you think that two actors would look good together (not in an obsessive, creppy way, just that if it actually turned out they were dating you wouldn't be too surprised) but still can't for the love of god ship the couple the two characters they play are in?

writers of any kind, i've always been curious about. what does it feel like to write a story without an happy ending? and why do you do it?

let me explain. when i write i get so attached to my stories and the characters i created that it would genuinely destroy me not to make them happy at the end, especially if it's something i've put a lot of time and effort into. but i'm also like this as a reader (no matter how good a story is, if i know it's not happy at the end i won't even start it) so maybe it might depend on that?

i imagine it's a bit like listening to sad music when you're sad, you get to just pour everything you're feeling into it. but what about fanfics with over 100k words or whole published books building the story just to have a sad ending? doesn't that hurt even more as a writer?
