Next hero: Perseus!

I depict Perseus to be the youngest (appearance wise) of the group. He’s the “friendliest” of the bunch. Not saying he’s the sweetest, but he can tolerate all the Heroes’ whining and bellyaching of their tormented lives before threatening them to get their shit together with a dark smile. He is the only hero to receive a happy ending. And yet in my story, he doesn’t lol.

Perseus has Lichtenberg scars on his left arm, indicating that he is the son of Zeus. (Yeah, demigods have some kind of scar/brand/birthmark that signifies who their parent is). He would've had a great retirement with Andromeda and Danae if not for Zeus being a petty bastard for wanting to put Perseus to more further use.

Since Cadmus didn't live up to Zeus' expectations of a Greek Hero, Zeus wanted to train Perseus further to be the greatest demigod Hero that would be marked on forever in the next millennias. Zeus wants Perseus to go on more dangerous quests to gain more spoils for the God King’s family. Perseus temporarily abided. Hunt for spoils turns into war wages turns to innocents/deities/monsters getting hit in the crossfire. Perseus didn’t want to be aligned with all the petty and prideful gods. He didn’t want to stray from being human. He didn’t want to hear from the cries of mortals he was forced to take down call him a monster or another Zeus. At some point, Perseus refused to be a weapon that Zeus can fling around, and that led to his punishment. Not on him, but on Andromeda and Danae.

In his origins, Perseus and Danae were locked in a chest and set adrift to die at sea by her father.

A chest is considered a box.

And what infamous box is always mentioned in Greek mythology?

Pandora's Box. The box that stores all the world's evils.

Zeus puts Perseus' wife and mother in the box. The key is thrown somewhere unknown. And the box is kept with Perseus as a horrible reminder. Even if he did find the key, only Pandora herself can open the box and she's nowhere seen. Perseus was thrown away by Zeus, leaving the hero to scour the world for Pandora.

Modern Times! Perseus makes little progress on his goal. He has once encountered his descendent Heracles, and he was not impressed by his story of 12 Labours. Perseus gets an offer from Hades to go find the rest of the Heroes to get rid of the Olympians. He leaves with Cadmus to find Bellerophon and the rest onward yada yada…

Im just doing the synopses on a whim. I don’t have any actual design onto these guys, so forgive if these seem a bit too much or confusing. It’s beta on the go lol

I watched the EPIC musical saga, and now I'm over obsessed with Greek mythology. I had an inspiration for a story.

So after finishing EPIC and I stopped fangirling over Odysseus, I had an idea. The story revolves around the Greek Heroes of Old. Some of the most well known Heroes ever written in Greek history were rewarded immortality for fulfilling their patron Olympian Gods' quest. But this "reward" is actually a curse that binds the Heroes into a forced eternal servitude for the Olympians. They can't be granted to go the Underworld, can't reach Elysium, can't reunite with their dead loved ones. The Heroes endured many, many, many years serving the Olympians, doing ridiculous biddings (some more suicidal and traumatizing) just to keep Gaia sleeping so she doesn't punish her children.

Enter Modern Times. Heroes are either discontent to suffer this curse or try to kill themselves over and over again. Hades has a plan to peg the twelve Olympians off their high chariot horses using the Heroes, giving them an ultimatum of reaching Elysium. He goes to the three eldest Heroes: Cadmus, Perseus, and Bellerophon. Reluctantly, they accept Hades' offer and they scour across the world pulling the other Heroes back into the battlefield.

Here I drew Cadmus. Never knew he actually existed under the overrated Greek Heroes. Not easy to get an exact image of his full face.

So Cadmus, he was supposed to be a snake spending forever with his lover Harmonia, but the Olympians had other plans. Mostly Ares, considering Cadmus angered him by killing his dragon and marrying his daughter, turned him back into a human but still retained some serpent like features. What better punishment than being a monster that he slained. Harmonia still remains as a snake as leverage.

I'm gonna do the others. I'll shut up now.

Can Ethan return to us? Can dad of the year resurrect back to Resident Evil?! He’s such a pure boi! He doesn’t need to end like this!

CAPCOM!! Make another game for Ethan! Or at least a cameo for the Resident Evil 9. And this time get his face be seen that doesn’t require us players to use mods and hacks.

Aside from that, I enjoyed Shadows of Rose DLC. I cried when Ethan revealed himself (which we all figured he would come back). Especially in the sanctuary part of the game when he brings Rose back home and we hear his voice.
