New episode 🎙 http://bit.ly/3awI0Jw 🎧
Meet Matt and Glory, aka Slice N Rice! We studied film together in college where they launched their comedy sketch YouTube channel. In the season finale episode of Season 2, the couple shares their online journey together making parody sketches, challenge videos, cultural vlogs, and more. We also discuss the value of creating together and the challenges they faced while dating, as well as the joys of working as business partners, being husband and wife, and now, young parents. Matt and Glory are some of the funniest, loving, creative, and enjoyable people I've ever met and I'm so happy for their success as content creators and their success as a couple growing their family. I hope this episode reminds you to laugh and enjoy life, and create using your own unique style. Thanks for listening!

New Episode - 🎙 https://bit.ly/3qzuEBV 🎧
Meet Shayla Racquel! I first discovered Shayla through her web series Quarter Century, which depicted the lives of a group of Black friends making their way through love, career, and life overall as post-grads in my resident DC/Maryland/Virginia area. Years later, in 2019, I'd meet her in person at the Pan-African Film Festival showcasing her newest short film, Riverment. The film is a gripping story that follows two generations of Black Civil Rights activists, the opposing yet similar ideologies that come to head in the wake of police brutality on college campuses. Shayla and I talk about her roots in theater, what it was like making her first short film, the film festival circuit, and her life as a growing screenwriter and director. I hope you enjoy our conversation on all things movies! Tune in and enjoy!

NEW EPISODE - https://bit.ly/370I6Wu ✍🏾🎙 🎧
Meet Rhee Dolly! In today's episode, we're talking all things screenwriting, what a script is, what a logline is, and best practices for writing with discipline, as well as tips for keeping your eyes on your own work. As an artists it's easy to get distracted and compare (read: compete) with others. Rhee also discusses starting her own screenplay consulting business, Dolly Rheel Productions, and why belief in yourself coupled with loving support from friends and family is so invaluable. In addition to those lessons, Rhee tells me about why Issa Rae, Lena Waithe, and Shonda Rhimes are her writing heroes. We also nerd out about what makes or breaks a Sci-Fi or Fantasy story, and trade stories about our favorite memories from the movies HOLES, and BLACK PANTHER. We had a great time in this episode, so tune in, and thanks for listening!

Meet MuhTeyOh! It was a pleasure to interview my brother about the performing arts saga thus far. Along with exploring his budding career as a DMV rapper and HipHop artist, we also touch on self expression across dance, photography, and filmmaking – he’s done it all. Muhteyoh strongly believes in artistic expression and the adventure of creating, as well as the importance of knowing one’s self and how such knowledge informs the creative process. I’m so proud of my brother and I can’t wait to see what he does next – he’s just getting started. Enjoy!

New Podcast Episode - https://bit.ly/2IcfQaF
Meet Bill Khaemba! On today's episode, I chat with Bill, the creator of The Kenyan Library, to discuss getting in touch with ourselves, art, and the world around us. Bill shares his photography journey which started right after high school in Nairobi, Kenya, when all of his friends moved on to start careers, he felt lost. It was time well spent at his favorite bookshops reading various books that reminded him of his love of reading and art and he was inspired to try his hand at photography and Instagram. Today, he's inspiring people every day with his amazing photos of books, cats, coffee, and the greater world around us, and not only on social media, but also for brands in his native, Kenya now that he's working as a photographer full time. Moments are fleeting, and I'm grateful that Bill stopped by to remind me how important it is to invest time in myself and my interests. We hope you do the same, and please enjoy the episode.

Meet Lang Johnson. She was one of the first writing friends that I made in the online writing community. In this episode, Lang shares her experience working in IT and Finance, and how reading the book Wild by Cheryl Strayed inspired her to quit her job and follow in the footsteps of the author women in her family, by realizing her own dreams of being a writer. Since writing her first fantasy novel, Of Beasts & Gods, Lang has written three more manuscripts and is now repped by the Transatlantic Agency. I hope you learn more about the publishing industry in this episode and become inspired to go after your dreams. Enjoy, and thanks for listening.
