I love Snapes greasy hair. I love his yellow crooked teeth and nose. I love his pale, discolored skin. I love it. IDC if people think it's gross, it's nice to see someone in media with greasy hair. I have greasy hair because of certain conditions and circumstances out of my control, same with crooked and yellow teeth. I'm also pale. That being said, if I'm ever reading a fic, and you take away his greasy hair or hooked nose or crooked, yellow teeth, I should have full legal power to reach through the screen and throttle you.

But putting that initial introduction aside, I genuinely want to just shoot some maruaders fans with a gun. But like, one that has empathy rays instead of bullets.

I want them to experience a Migraine so intense that they can't shower because the soaps and even the water smell too strong. I want them to experience a single flashback triggered by the water and instantly know that they can't shower. I want them to forget to brush their teeth. I want them to get knuckle pain, so they can't grip the toothbrush to brush their teeth. I just want them to experience it for a day. Just one, then maybe they'd have some empathy. I want them to have such intense jaw pain that they can't open their jaw long enough to brush and floss. I want them to have an unattractive feature, like a hooked nose. Something that's prominent.

Not permanently, just for a day. I just want to put them in my shoes so that they'd kindly stop insulting his appearance. Again, we really need to invent an empathy gun.

The Slytherins are made the enemy at the end of HP because Pansy Parkinson suggested to hand Harry over to Voldemort to avoid a carnage.

Instead they're willing to sacrifice dozens of mages to protect their famous golden boy.

Only for Dumbledore to require Harry sacrifices himself to save everyone else. But this time, it’s not a Slytherin, so it’s alright. It’s not a Slytherin, so Harry listens and goes to his death like a hero.

As though he couldn’t have done that earlier. Even suggest the idea.

Reading my own fanfiction is basically just a rollercoaster of emotional whiplash.

20% of the time: “Hold on. I wrote this? This is fire. This is emotionally devastating in the best way. This scene is dripping with tension. I’m a literary perfectionist. Someone give me a book deal.”

80% of the time: “Straight to jail. Immediate prison. Why is everyone’s breath hitching?. I used the word ‘gaze’ three times in one paragraph like I was possessed. Did I think 'his eyes darkened' was profound? Why is everyone clenching their jaws? Why is someone whispering 'their name like a prayer' again?? No one talks like this. What is this dialogue. Why are there so many weird metaphors and em-dashes…”

When youve been a writer for long enough, commas become more of a spiritual practice than a grammatical one.

Could I explain the actual rules of how they’re used? Absolutely not.

Do I rely on sensing a tremor in the force to tell me where to use them? Yes and this has never failed me even once.

Art I made for my fantasy book The Day My Dream Died about a young woman who lives in a world where some people can access a dream realm called the undermind which reflects humanity’s perception of reality. The undermind also breeds dark creatures called fiends which feed on the thoughts and emotions of people. The people who can access the undermind are known as dwellers, and are often relied upon by the people around them to protect, defend and heal those touched by fiends the way a healer wards off disease and helps close wounds. Some societies are more or less proactive in upholding a practice of this tendency, and the view of what it means to have access to the undermind can be starkly different from one culture to another.

Our protagonist, a young woman named Lise, is pursuing her sister who has fled home under the influence of fiends. The problem is, her sister’s fiends seem to have become contagious and spread in the towns she has passed through. Lise finds herself overwhelmed with the number of people dead and dying in her sister’s wake and struggles to catch up in the midst of the terrible chaos. The fiends are devouring people at a rate unseen in recent history. Lise wants to do more than merely survive but even her survival is starting to seem dubious in the face of the fiends’ new developments.

The world this story takes place on is known by many of its peoples as Komalle. It is a planet whose life may seem a little surreal, owing to the fact that a single, full day/night cycle takes longer to finish than 400 of our days and nights. They count days like we count years. Broken into 4 quadrants of 10 weeks of 10 cycles of 10 hours of 100 minutes of 100 seconds. Lise is 18 nights old at the beginning of her journey, the rough equivalent of 23 years old in our world.

Something darker, a spot of perfect darkness, resides behind the mind of Lise. An inherited illness her mother had which she knows only as NON beckons her into a stasis near death. Something deeper than comatose, an undeath, which had plagued her mother throughout her life. For much of Lise’s childhood her mother lay in a cool, near death state. It happened upon Lise herself in her adolescence and she fears how a part of her yearns to return to it and remain in it forever.

I want the writing and art to be accessible for free on the internet but if you like the story/art and want to support me you can buy me a coffee. I may start doing prints again once I get enough people interested but for now I can’t afford to keep that up.

I will end up reinvesting most of whatever I make into the art because that’s basically all I want to do in life anyway. Trying to do a lot with a little here, of course, and I’ll always seek to do more with whatever I have within my grasp. I have pretty severe chronic pain so I’m well accustomed to trying to accomplish a lot within certain limits. I think this project is pretty ambitious for a one person show but when the material is accumulated for everyone to see and all is said and done I think this will really be a great fantasy epic for the ages. It’s got my flair for the distorted and surreal but ultimately wondrous. It is epic adventure and horror and mental anguish and beautiful cursed trees and death and life and other assorted especially cool and radical fantasy psychicologicalphilosophickeries as they say. You know what, I firmly believe Severus Snape was in love with Lily Potter solely because I'm sick of people acting like him being in love with her was something wrong and perverted of him.

Shockingly enough, that's not something evil and unforgivable. In fact, in the story? It is literally the antithesis of evil.

I don't give a f*** what Dumbledore's assumption was that doesn't make it true. He interrupted Snape before he finished speaking. I don't f*****g care that Dumbledore is seen as intelligent, wise and respected. I'm autistic I care about what I'm actually seeing. And what I saw was Dumbledore interrupt Snape with "you disgust me"

What I was saw was Dumbledore make an interruption

Snape: "I have asked him to —"

Dumbledore: You disgust me

Why are you interrupting him? I'm tryna hear what a character more important to me than you is tryna say. Please take a step back and shut up

If she means so much to you,” said Dumbledore, “surely Lord Voldemort will spare her? Could you not ask for mercy for the mother, in exchange for the son?”

“I have—I have asked him—”

“You disgust me,” said Dumbledore

He could have finished that sentence with "I have asked him to spare Lily since he's gonna kill Harry anyway"

Also he doesn't owe James anything. James choked him to the point he wasn't able to breathe with soap bubbles and sexually assaulted him so

Also in exchange for the son??? Was Voldemort sitting there like "Severus, unless I have your approval I won't kill the infant destined to kill me, and I will only spare Lily if you give me your permission to kill Harry Potter"

What was there to exchange?!

Like how can he exchange Harry's life like Snape's approval matters at all to Voldemort??

Also Snape isn't stupid. He knows Dumbledore isn't just going to hide only Lily. He knew Dumbledore would hide James and Harry too. Like it's obvious. Snape would have to be really stupid to think otherwise. But he went to Dumbledore anyway. Because as long as Lily is safe James and Harry being safe too doesn't matter

Am I going mental, or is Voldemort implying that after he came back in GoF (and told Harry he knows is was Lily's sacrifice that saved him, the mistake he had made because of Snape) they had a talk about this with Severus, in a manner that required a need for Severus' "agreement"? Ofc you can't choose to disagree with Voldemort, but still the fact that Snape not only wasn't brutally yet slowly murdered for causing Voldemort's moment of weakness and years of suffering, but when the theme was raised Tom supposedly even came up with an "exuse" that Snape had to accept is fascinating. It's almost like... explaining himself in a Voldemort fashion? Dare I say a need for Severus' forgiveness and contentment?

Which also fits with Voldemort's need to rationalise and find excuses when he kills Snape. Voldemort. needs rationalisations. for screwing Snape.

I kinda start thinking Snoldemort is canon compliant lol
