Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Part 4 of Simon 'Ghost' Riley x Military!Reader
Smion looked around the infirmary looking for an exit that wasn't past the front desk. His eyes finally laid on the fire exit and he smirked. He casually walked towards the fire exit door and slipped through without anybody noticing. He knew he would have to explain himself later, but he didn't care. The last thing he needed was for his team to find out he was in love.
Meanwhile, you finished packing the last of your things. It wasn't much. Mainly just double-checking that you had all of your stuff. You let out a breath of accomplishment as you hear multiple knocks at the door. You opened the door to be greeted by a bear hug from Johnny followed by low chuckles from Kyle and Price. "Oh Bonnie! I'm glad to see you up and walking fine." Johnny said with relief. "We were pretty worried about you. Had to come see you before your discharge." Gaz spoke. Price stepped forward with a folder. Handing it to you with a small smile. "I need you to fill out a few things for your medical leave. You don't have to do it today, but I will need it by the end of the week." Price said. You nodded your head. "Yes sir, copy that." That reply did get a low chuckle from Price. "Who's taking you home Bonnie? Surely you're not driving yourself home, are ya?" Johnny asked with slight concern. "Oh no, I'll call my boyfriend to pick me up. It'll be fine." You said. Gaz gave you a confusing look, "What happened to 'my boyfriend is gonna kill me if he sees me like this'? He have a change of heart?" You cringed slightly at the sentence repeated back to you. "Oh yeah, he's cool. We talked it over last night. Nothing serious." You say, playing it cool. Gaz was still skeptical, but the other guys believed your words so he couldn't say anything.
After bidding your goodbyes, you made your way out of the base and walked to the farthest end of the parking lot. You knew Simon's truck would be parked all the way at the back and you weren't disappointed. You walked up to the passenger side door and tapped on the window so he would unlock the door. He looked in your direction and leaned over to open the door from the inside. "Can you get in, love?" He asked as you pulled yourself up and into his truck. "Is that even a question, darling?" You retort, causing Simon to laugh under his breath and shake his head.
Once you made it to you guys' shared apartment, you immediately went to the bedroom. As soon as your head hit the pillow you almost moaned at the newfound comfort in yours and Simon's bed. Simon stood in the doorway with faintest smile on his face. "Oh you love the bed more than me huh?" Simon asked, his deep voice making the atmosphere even more comforting. You looked up at him and smiled, "Yes. Why? Jealous?" He rolled his eyes and walked towards you. He climbed into bed with you and held you in his arms. He took in your scent and kissed the top of your head. "It feels good to be back home." Simon whispered. You look up at him and give him a slow, passionate kiss.
Simon only deepened it until it became a full blown makeout session. Your hands made their way all over his body as his carressed every curve your body had to offer. He gave your ass a nice squeeze which made you gasp. This gave him easy access to slip his tongue into your mouth. Tasting every last drop of your saliva. You figured he tasted enough and pushed him onto his back. Straddling his thighs you looked down at him with a smirk as you slightly tilted your head. Simon looks at you in suprise whilst trying to catch his breath. You've never seen him this caught off guard, why not have fun with it? You get to work sliding his pants off of him and taking yours off too. You were already wet from the most simple of foreplay, and it was about to get even better. Simon was rock hard. His red tip leaking with precum, begging to be satisfied. You got back on top of him and aligned yourself to his dick. You slid in just fine. Gasps and sighs escaped from both of your mouths as you adjusted to his sheer size alone. After a moment, you began to rock your hips. Simon wasn't saying a damn word. There were only little grunts and hums that would occasionally slip. He tugged at your shirt, a little sign that he wanted you completely bare. You smiled and took your shirt off. Simon smiled too, for a second. He takes in your now bare body until he sees the stitches from your injury. Any lust or passion he may have had was long gone after seeing the small pattern of black stitches lining a small portion of your right side. You didn't tell Simon they had to go in and remove the bullet. It was the only thing keeping you from bleeding out entirely, but it couldn't stay in forever. Simon looked up at you, concerned. You looked down and seen your patched up wound. "Oh, baby it's nothing. Just a few stitches. They'll be out in no time." You tried to reassure him it was okay, but he couldn't continue. He helped you off of him and went to cuddling you again. He held on tighter than he ever has before. He couldn't bear the idea of losing you. You stayed in his embrace, letting him take time to process everything that led up to this point.
"Why didn't you go with me?" You whispered, breaking any and all silence there was before.
"I was afraid to get too close. Didn't know it was you, love. I figured you were strong enough to handle yourself. I'm regretting it now. I wish I could go back and protect you. You needed me, but I was too stupid to care. I'm sorry love." Simon explained, kissing the top of your head.
"It's okay babe. It wasn't, I repeat, wasn't your fault. I was the stupid one for hiding who I truly was. Which made you think I was someone different that you didn't want to get close to. I get it baby. I love you more than words can describe. You mean everything to me. Don't ever forget that."
After your little speech, you and Simon drifted off to sleep. No gunshots, no monitors, none of Price's snoring.
It was just the two of you.
Part 5 coming soon!

Gaz 100% could pull a model if he wanted to. What happens when he does?
- He's very lowkey about it. Doesn't say a damn thing about you or what you do for a living.
- He always gets a sneak peek of your photoshoots.
-He even helps update your portfolio. Sometimes he'll slip in photos he took himself.
- Modeling seasons were always a blast. You traveled around to world just to walk up and down a runway and have your picture taken.
- That, and you always had to get Kyle a souviner from every country and city you went to.
- Don't get me started on his wardrobe.
- He has decent clothes, nothing expensive or flashy, just decent enough to style.
- You style his clothes whenever you guys go out on dates.
- You give him compliments. "Look at you! You could be on the cover of GQ magazine."
- Imagine Kyle's suprise when you send the first ever magazine you were on the front cover of.
- He's lowkey about it. Plays it off like it was something his mom sent him.
- He reads it while he's deployed. Notices you did an interview with the magazine too.
- Imagine his shock when he reads that you announced you were happily taken. In a magazine. With you on the front cover. And you sent it to him.
- Gets back home and overhears a bunch of recruits on base talking about models they liked.
- When one brings up you. Kyle is proud as hell to hold up the magazine and say that she was taken.
- "It's in writing. She said it herself."
- While everyone is complaining and wondering who the lucky bastard is. Kyle is in his bunk quietly laughing his ass off.

I'm Not Pretty
Simon 'Ghost' Riley x Reader
You posted a new picture to your Instagram. Nothing crazy, just a sweet little photo of the dress you bought at a boutique earlier that day. What you didn't know was that your ex's new girlfriend was stalking your page. Sitting around with her friends practically tearing you apart because you were the girl your ex couldn't quite get over. Especially when one of his friends would slip up and ask about you instead of her. Is it safe to say she was bitter? Yes.
The night started out simple enough. You were sitting on the couch next to your new, loving boyfriend Simon. You were scrolling on your phone while he watched a Manchester United game on the TV. Your phone dinged with a notification that someone liked a post on your Insta. You looked to see who it was and you looked puzzled at the profile. Why the hell did your ex's new girl like a picture you posted back in 2016? You just brushed it off as petty internet stalking. Wasn't affecting you, so why bother?
Then came the DM's. Not just from this girl, but from her suspected friends as well. Awful, vile messages flooded your inbox...and you read every single one. You never even met this girl or her circle, but they had a lot to say about you. One message stuck out though, it was from her that read:
"Good luck finding a man that'll put up with your ugly ass. You peaked in high school grow tf up. I would rather be caught dead than be seen in the outfits you post. You have no fashion sense and you're not pretty in the slightest."
You paused, sighed, and turned your phone off. Meanwhile Simon was watching you the whole time. How your body tensed the second he heard the notification go off. He seen how your face contorted from confusion to being straight up offended. But he also seen your eyes gloss over like you were on the brink of tears. He didn't say a word when you got up and left your phone on the couch, but he did grab it and turned it back on. He went through it trying to find what had you upset, and then he saw the messages. His chest tightened reading every. Last. One. He grumblss as he gets up and goes to the bedroom. He stops in the doorway and sees you cyrled up on the bed in tears.
You never liked it when Simon sees you cry, but he was ao quiet you barely noticed he was there. That was until you felt the bed sink underneath his weight as he sat beside you rubbing your back.
"Don't let'em get to you love. They not worth your tears." Simon was never good with words, but he always got to the point.
"B-but they were....s-so..m-mean." You said through your sobs.
"None of that babe. You're always pretty to me, gorgeous even. You always know how to catch my eye even in the most boring situations. I love you darlin', and nothing is gonna change that." He said as he laid down next to you. The rest of the night was spent in each other's arms until Simon asked. "Do you really think you peaked in high school?" You giggled at his question before replying with a simple, "Yeah right."

Price tried.
I could see him trying to drop something off to you at work, but your coworkers harrass him.
Like, he could be dropping off your work badge and your coworkers ask how he knows you. When Price says he's your boyfriend he immediately hears the loudest cackles echo through the hallway. When he eventually finds you he hands you your badge and gives the longest kiss you've ever gotten from him.
Or the one time he brought you lunch and a coworker asks who invited the eye candy. The amount of unwanted flirting and lewd comments aimed towards him was astounding.
So imagine Price lets the rest of the 141 tag along with him to drop off a bunch of food you made for a workplace potluck. You swore every man had the deepest shade of red painted across their faces by the end of the interaction...even Ghost.

First one screams friends with benefits.
Second one screams he finally got you to be his girlfriend. It's a lot more passionate in vocals.
And if you've never knew these songs existed, you're welcome.

Part 1 Part 2
Part 3 of Simon 'Ghost' Riley x Military!Reader
Simon stared at his phone in a bit of shock. He wasn't stupid, but now he was second-guessing that. He was putting pieces together in his mind while his phone buzzed over and over with calls from Price. How could his sweet little bird lie to him? Why would she even lie about this?
Things started to make sense now. The constant "business trips", you knowing how to shoot a gun (multiple in fact, but he didn't know that), and the slip of the tongue when you would respond to and/or understand military jargon. All of those things made Simon believe you were Grasshopper, and right now he needed to see you. He got dressed in his casual clothes, an army green shirt, black sweat pants, and a black surgical mask to match. He snuck out of his room and quietly walked as fast as he could to the infirmary. He couldn't believe you never told him about what you really do for work, but he also understood why you would keep it a secret. He knew it all too well. The worry, the agony of not knowing if you would come home alive at the very least, the thought of possibly putting those you love in danger. He knew those thoughts, hell he's had them ever since you two started dating. He needed to hear those words from you though.
You sat in your bed. You were glad to be in somewhat familiar territory and you didn't have to wear that stupid mask anymore. The infirmary was nice, but void of anything lively to say the least. Your recovery was going quite well. There were even discussions of you getting to go home in a couple days. With all of the good news surrounding your recovery you were drowning in the thought of having to confess to Simon about everything. You've talked yourself up, gaining confidence and finding the words you wanted to say for when you would see Simon again. Suddenly, a faint knock on your door pulled you out of your thoughts. A young nurse carefully walked in and closed the door. "Sergeant (Y/L/N) there's a Lieutenant Riley here to see you. Would you like for me to send him in?" The nurse asked almost in a whisper even though you were wide awake. You nodded your head, "Let him come in."
When Simon walked in his eyes scanned your form. You looked so different in a hospital gown. So fragile that if you even attempted to get out of bed you'd break. He didn't say a word as he sat down beside your bed, his eyes still on you. After a brief moment of looking at each other in pure silence, you spoke up. "Simon, I'm sorry I never told you. I was worried about how you would take it. I wanted to have both my job and you. I didn't want you to worry about me or make me change my career because it didn't fit your perception of me." Before you could continue Simon cut you off with a chuckle. "Love, I don't want none of that. I get why you did it. I get why you kept it from me, but don't think I didn't worry. I do gotta say though, you had me fooled in the beginning." You looked at him in suprise. "Wait really? How? I felt like I had the most ridiculous mask covering my face. My jokes with the guys weren't funny. I was almost useless the entire time. I felt so out of place." You explained. Simon shook his head. "No love, you are an entirely different person at work than you are at home. You were bold, confident, you spoke your mind when need be, and let's not forget the stress ball. I didn't know you kept little things like that with you, but you did and it came in handy. You were incredible out there darlin'. So what, you took a bullet? You were lucky and quick enough on your feet that that's the only wound you suffered the entire time we were gone." You blushed at his words and then he leaned closer. "I'm lucky to call you my girlfriend. Wanna know why?" You smile and nod your head. "Because I have the most gorgeous and badass woman I've ever had the pleasure of knowing." Your heart swelled at his words. Simon was never the affectionate type, and you didn't mind. But this? This was a whole different side of him you've never really seen all too often. "You wanna know something else?" He said. You giggled, "What baby?"
"Before I knew you were my girl under the mask. I fell for Grasshopper pretty hard. I gotta say she was pretty irresistable. Hard not to think of her bossing me around if she was rightfully mad." His confession had you a laughing mess. "So what are you saying? You liked Grasshopper more than me? Your precious little doll?" You chuckled. "No love, it just means I fell in love with a new side of you. To me, it felt like falling in love all over again with you." Simon whisperd.
The rest of the night was spent with you two telling each other about your military stories. The good, the bad, and the awesome stories were all laid bare to each other in the silence of your infirmary room. Simon even cuddled with you on the hard bed for the remainder of the evening. When the sun rose, you were greeted by a firm knock at the door as the doctor stepped in. Simon quickly got out of bed and sat back in the chair beside you, listening intently on what the doctor said about your recovery. You were going to need some time to rest at home. No strenuous activities or heavy lifting. The doctor handed you the discharge papers and you signed them eagerly. Simon waited for you outside of the room while you gathered all your things.
But then he noticed Price, Johnny, and Kyle at the front desk. He could only assume they were there to see you on your way out.
"Bloody hell." Simon cursed under his breath.

Part 1
Part 2 of Simon 'Ghost' Riley x Military!Reader
As the days went on, the mission should've ended quicker than expected. Nothing prepared you for the ambush. It all happened so fast. One minute you and Soap are finishing up a stealth mission, quickly and efficiently gathering all the intel you needed to go home. The next? Getting shot at while you think you made it into the clear.
You and Soap kept running to get out of range, but they were following close behind. The woods you were both running in was rough terrain and with it being dark out made it difficult to navigate. Gunshots and yelling rang out from behind you as you could feel the adrenaline pumping through your veins. That's when you spot it, a river to your left. You look at Soap, who is also on your left, and devise a plan. "You're gonna hate me for this Sudsy." You say as you tackle Soap until you both are rolling down the hill, off the beaten path, and into the river. The water felt cold as it hit your skin, cooling you down from the deadly marathon you just ran. Harsh breaths and running water was all you could hear as you slowly calmed your once rapid heart-rate. Soap turns to you and lets out a little laugh.
"Christ Bonnie, didn't think you were that tough." Was all he said as you begin sit up. You winced. You looked down and notice you've been shot on you right side. Not too critical, but bad enough it needed medical attention. Soap quickly got up to assess your state. He quickly grabbed for his radio to talk to anyone who would listen. He called for medical help and when asked what happened all he said was that you were shot. On the other end of the radio Price is worried, Gaz is keeping cool on the outside, and Ghost? He was internally panicking.
Why didn't he go with you? Why did he choose to stay with Price and Gaz? Why did he ignore your insistence on having him go with you? Why did he push you away?
All these thoughts were running through his mind as he wondered how bad it was.
Meanwhile, Soap was getting you to a safepoint. It started out easy, you were able to walk so nothing was a hassle. That was until the blood loss really hit and it was getting harder to stand, to see, to think. Soap noticed and caught you before you could hit the ground and carried you the rest of the way. He kept urging you to stay awake and think of "happy things" as he put it.
All you could think about was Simon. It's who you always thought about in times like this, but right now, it was anxiety-inducing.
How is he going to react? How is he going to look at you now? Will he leave you? Will he even tell you?
You were so caught up in the what ifs that you didn't realize you were crying. Your chest felt heavier than usual. Your breaths were short and quick. Soap reassured you that you were almost there and he wasn't lying. It felt like mere seconds had passed and then you were laying in a makeshift bed. The field medic slowly started removing your gear as Soap stood by, worried for you.
"I'm going to have to remove your mask. I can't have you hyperventilate." The medic said as she reached for the mask. You flinched away from her and asked if you could have privacy first. She nodded and turned to Soap telling him to leave. He wasn't about to let that happen. He watched you almost die on the way to the medic and he wanted to make sure you were okay. He was about to argue until you yelled, "Soap can I just have some goddamn peace! I don't want anyone to see me!" He was taken aback by your words until you whispered out. "My boyfriend is gonna kill me if he sees me like this." Before he could get any words out the medic ushered him out of the room.
Soap made it to the rest of the team when they started bombarding him with questions of what happened? and were you alright? He explained what happened on the mission to the guys while Ghost stood in the corner taking it all in. When Soap got to the end and said your boyfriend was going to kill you if he seen you injured. Everybody froze.
"Boyfriend? Since when did she have a boyfriend?" Gaz asked.
"She never said anything about a boyfriend the entire time she's been with us." Price stated.
"Maybe he's a prick." Ghost said, cutting everybody's attention towards him. He shruged and continued, "She never talks about him, she said he would kill her if she was injured, she's always quiet when we talk about our relationships. If I'd known any better I'd say he's a prick."
That's when the theories started rolling about what kind of boyfriend you had. Gaz thinks he's verbally abusive as you always seem a little stunned when you recieve compliments or praise for your work. Price thinks you were worried about him finding out about your job since you never brought him up until you were hurt. Soap thinks he probably has the ugliest mug anybody has ever laid eyes on and you stay with him out of pity even though he isn't right for you. Ghost doesn't say anything the whole time. He feels like he's said enough, but it makes him wonder how bad your life is outside of work must be if you never talk about it.
You, on the other hand, are in pain and calming down from the slight anxiety attack earlier. The medic bandaged you up, but said you needed to be treated back at base. Since you and Soap's mission was the finishing touch to the deployment it meant you would be back on base quicker than you thought. You left two days before the rest of the task force due to your injury. The ride on heli back to base was...silent. Not even your anxious thinking was loud. You missed the guys though, wondered how they were taking it.
You were whisked away to the infirmary as soon as you touched the ground. You got a proper physical exam, and was given the order to rest and recover. You told the nurses that you didn't want visitors. You were a private person, and having anyone see you hurt felt almost uncomfortable. After getting settled in your room you pulled out your phone. Numerous texts and phone calls raided your phone's notifications. All of them were from Simon. You almost got choked up knowing you've been ignoring, but not ignoring your boyfriend the entire month. You knew you couldn't keep doing this. You had to tell him whether you liked it or not. He had to know, for your sake and his.
The guys made it back two days later. As soon as they got on base they walked to the infirmary. Soap and Gaz were practically running to the front desk. After a long back and forth with the nurses, they were turned away defeated and disappointed. "I can't believe she doesn't want to see us? We're her friends." Soap says, almost heartbroken. "You think it has something to do with her boyfriend?" Gaz questioned. Ghost rolled his eyes as he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. He froze slightly, but kept walking with the guys. After a few seconds, he quietly separated from the group and went to his room. He closed the door and pulled out his phone. It was a text from you that read:
"Sorry Baby! I've been sooooo busy with work lately. I did want to let you know I might be a few days late coming home. Flight schedules are fucked. I love you so much and I hope you made it home safe <3"
He smiled a little. This meant he could suprise you when you actually come home. He replied back:
"It's alright love. Made it home just fine. You be safe coming back home. I love you."
Simon spent that night doing his paperwork and filing his action report. After he was done he took his papers and walked down the hall to Price's office. The light was still on in his office so Simon knocked on the door. "It's open." Price said plainly. Simon walks in and noticed that Price is staring at the phone on his desk. "Somethin' wrong Cap'n?" Simon asked. Price sighed, "I'm supposed to call Grasshopper's emergency contact, but I'm worried it might start something that she doesn't need right now." Simon huffed, "It's protocol Cap. Might as well do it. 'Sides if he causes a scene, we can take'em." Price looks up at Simon and gives a small nod. After Simon drops off his paperwork, he walks back to his room. Once he's back in his room he goes to lay down before his phone starts buzzing on his nightstand. He picks it up and looks at the caller ID.
Why is Price calling him?

Y'all ever think Gaz is the voice of reason at work, but not at home? Like, he could be wrangling Ghost and Soap because they plan to do something incrdibly stupid and/or dangerous, but at home he needs to be wrangled up. I can see it now:
He comes home, bored out of his mind and wants to do something. So, like any normal person, he grabs a laundry basket, knee pads, and a helmet and plans on sledding down the stairs. Thankfully, you catch him right before he does it. You ask what the hell he's doing and all he responds with is, "I seen Soap do it one day, and it didn't work. I want to see if I can do it better."
You sigh and pinch the bridge of your nose. "It didn't work because you shouldn't be doing it at all!" You shout. Gaz realizes how stupid it is and abandons the "experiment".
Later that night he whispers to you, "You know, I think his weight distribution was a little off and that's why he flew into the wall."
"Kyle, go to sleep honey. I need you to stay in one piece for me while you're home." You reply, eyes still closed. Gaz sighs and falls asleep in your arms.
The next day he walks into base and pats Soap on the back. "If you plan on sledding down the stairs again, check your weight distribution." That's all Gaz says as he continues walking down the hall.
Soap is confused as hell, but takes his advice. Gaz was right.

Dirty Looks
Simon 'Ghost' Riley x Reader
Simon was a busy man and you knew that. You also knew he could be insecure yet possessive at the same time. So on a particular busy night for Simon was a night for you to go to a bar by yourself. You went to the one somewhat close to base just in case you needed your boyfriend to pick you up. After some greasy bar food and half a drink, you decided to call Simon and see if he would like to meet at the bar for a couple drinks. He's quick to accept the offer as he tells you he just got in his truck to head home.
Simon didn't like the idea of you going out by yourself when you guys first started dating. The thought of you? Alone? With other men around that could hit on you? Hell no! But as time went on he realized you were quick to shoot down any guys shot at you. Because you had a man to go home to, and that man was him. That was one thing that had him weak in the knees, your confidence. One night he went to pick you up from a bar downtown when he caught you in the middle of telling some random guy to fuck off and that you were one-hundred percent taken. He wanted to propose with a pretend ring right then and there.
Here he was, sitting in his truck parked outside of the bar you told him you were at. He looked at himself in the rear view mirror and sighed. He hadn't showered before showing up. Hair spiked from sweat, blackout paint faintly smudged across his eyes, his regular clothes were somewhat decent with only a couple stains at the bottom hem of the shirt he was wearing. He looked like a total wreck. Simon was about to reconsider the quick date idea until his phone buzzed. It was a text message from you.
"Hey love, I got you a whiskey neat. It's waiting for you. <3"
He let out a low chuckle and slowly got out of his truck. Once inside he spotted you sitting on a bar stool alone, just how he liked it. He walked over to you with footsteps that got lighter as he approached. You turned around on the stool to look at your boyfriend. As you're taking in the sight you notice how exhausted he looks in his deep brown eyes alone. You gesture for him to sit next to you and he obliges. Sliding his drink over to him you go on to tell him how your day went. It was routine to talk about your day with Simon. The good, the bad, everything was on the table. You finished you rant about the day rather quickly that Simon didn't even notice until you suddenly ask, "How was your day, love?"
He takes a couple seconds to process before he finally speaks, "It was fucking hell." Your gaze softened at his response. "I wish I could've at least cleaned up a little before meeting you here. Feel a little out of place." You slowly leaned in and kissed him in the middle of his doubts. It was soft and full of care...Simon didn't want it to end. That was until an older lady cleared her throat. "Pardon me, but you shouldn't be doing that here. People are trying to enjoy their drinks." Her tone had slight annoyance tinged into almost every word. Bitter hag.
Now did you care? No! Did Simon care? A little. He knew he wasn't a looker, especially right now. But that didn't stop you from continuing to kiss him. The rest of the time you two spent at the bar was Simon opening up little by little about how his day went, and each detail that made you feel bad for him was followed by a little kiss and a head scratch.
That's when Simon truly felt lucky. To have someone so comforting and confident not only in themselves but their realationship with him as a whole. Someone who didn't care how he looked on any given day. Someone who didn't care about the dirty looks from strangers when they were together. Because to you, dirty looked good on Simon.
(Thank you everyone who voted on the poll. There will be a new poll coming soon.)

Simon 'Ghost' Riley x Military!Reader
Let's be real, Simon didn't know you were in the military. You two met at a pub and hit it off pretty well. Granted, you were sick of him staring at you and decided to strike up a conversation. From there, it went well. He took you home after closing time and you offered to let him stay the night. He did, but you two didn't hook up. Instead, you two cuddled in the dark and told each other about yourselves. Job occupation never came up so you kept it at that. You were actually worried to tell Simon what you did for a living. You were afraid he would see your job as an excuse to ignore and cheat on him due to past experiences with other guys who were way too unstable and insecure.
Cut to seven months later, you're on base when you get called to your Captain's office. Your heart dropped because you didn't do anything to be called into his office until he slid you a manilla folder and announced you were being transferred to a different task force. You were shocked, but accepted the transfer. You were excited to go home to your boyfriend and tell him about your day. You still never told Simon you were in the military, let alone a Sergeant. You lied and told him you had an office job that requires a lot of business trips. Simon didn't care as he told you he had to leave home for long periods of time too.
It was on your two month anniversary that he confessed he was a part of the military. You were fine with that and you had a suspicion due to all the scars you've seen. Over the course of the next few months you two made it work. Sometimes your deployments lined up to where you two would both be gone at around the same time so you weren't stuck at home missing your boyfriend since you had work to do.
The next day you got on base you hid your face with a mask. No way did you want to run into Simon. You walked into briefing room and there stood Captain John Price. Introductions were made as you listened to your new Captain talk about everybody on the team. He told you about Gaz and his interrogation skills, Soap and how he's a wildcard of a demolitions expert, and that left Ghost. Ghost was a mystery, Price didn't say much about him other that he was quiet and expected a lot out of fresh meat on the team. That didn't bother you though, you were used to hardass soldiers always trying to make recruits break under pressure.
When the rest of the task force poured into the room, you froze. Ghost was intimidating yes, but there was an odd familiarity about him. You couldn't pinpoint what it was until he looked at you. You were so glad your mask covered half of your face as you could feel your cheeks growing warm. Those deep brown eyes...you knew of only one person who had those kind of eyes...Simon. "Didn't know we had a lady joining us Cap'n." Ghost says to Price. You've heard Simon talk before, but Ghost? Ghost sounded more rough and downright serious. Can't deny it made your blush deepen.
The briefing went on for what felt like forever until Price told everyone that they were scheduled to leave tomorrow morning. You got up and felt a hand on your shoulder. You whipped around to see Soap, his cheeky smile and all. "Say lass, what's with the mask?" He asked. That's when Gaz joined in, "Yeah, are you another Ghost we gotta deal with?" You straight up laughed so hard the guys looked concerned. "Like I'm that heartless." You reply. Both Gaz and Soap let out almost a sigh of relief and laugh with you. "Did you guys think I was going to be that cutthroat? Geez, I should've brought my good knife with me to show off." You kept talking to the two Sergeants and became instant friends. What you didn't know is that Ghost heard what you said, and he wasn't too happy about spending however long it was with you.
You all piled into the plane to fly out that morning. You called Simon before getting on the plane to tell him you were going on a "business trip". Ghost was still at his bunk when his phone rings. He picks it up and sees his pretty bird on the caller ID and answers so quick he almost hangs up.
"Hi lovie, are you okay?" He asks. You chuckle at how he was always so worried about you.
"Yes love, I'm fine. Just letting you know I'm about to board a plane. Got a meeting to attend in the states." You lie.
"Al'ight, safe travels baby. I'm gonna need all the luck I can get for this mission. New Sergeant is gonna piss me off." He explains.
But, you're the new Sergeant. How'd you piss him off?
"I'm sorry baby, what did he do? Also, 'going to'? He hasn't done anything yet has he?" You ask, curious to what he'll say.
"Not a 'he', love. It's a 'she'. She called me heartless." From there, he goes on and on about how she hides behind a mask like he does and how she already hit it off with Kyle and Johnny. You knew Simon was insecure, but that bad? This man has done lost his mind.
"I'm sorry love. I'm sure things will get better. I love you." You say.
"Love you too birdy. I'll see you in about a month." He says as you both hang up.
You walk onto the plane where the other guys are waiting, except Ghost. "Where is that fucker?" Soap groans. "I'm sure he'll be here soon." You say, sounding hopeful. Sure enough, Ghost practically runs onto the plane and finds a seat...right next to you. "Almost late LT." Gaz laughs. Price shakes his head and lets the pilot know they're ready to fly. On the plane, Ghost shuffles in his seat worse than Soap. You reach in your vest and pull out a small stress ball. "Here" is all you say as you gesture for Ghost to take it. He looks at you in confusion before taking the ball from your hand. It calms him down and he makes sure you get it back before you land.
On the ground, you guys make your way to the safe house. Once there, you all take time making sleeping arrangements. You offer to stand watch for tonight, but Ghost told you he'd do it and that you needed rest. You took it as Ghost paying you back for the stress ball so you let him win. Later that evening, Soap hit the ground running with questions for you. "What's your callsign lass? Sure you don't want us calling you 'lass' or 'lady' all month." You laughed and answered. "It's Grasshopper." Gaz looked up from cleaning his gun, intrigued. Soap was armed with more questions. Ghost stayed in the corner, observing. Price smiled a little as he smoked his cigar. "How'd you get that as your callsign?" Gaz asked. Soap looked at him and then nodded his head. "Well when I was stationed on my first op. We were running from enemy soldiers after a tripwire got, well, tripped. They didn't follow us though, they shot at us from a building. We hid in a field to avoid the gunshots. It was quiet, when all of a sudden I seen a grenade land in our area. I jumped over to it, picked it up, and threw it back towards enemy lines. It exploded as soon as it hit the ground in front of the building. Killed a few men that day." You explained. "Okay, but why Grasshopper?" Soap asked. You sighed. "Well, after I threw the grenade back. I was jumping up and down in celebration that My team and I didn't die. In a field. Where there was grass. Hence the name Grasshopper."
The guys looked at you in amazement, except Ghost because you couldn't read his expressions. "Good to know Sergeant." Says Price. "That's amazing! Definitely gotta see your throw in action, huh Grassy?" Said Soap as he elbows your arm. You actually laugh at the new take on your callsign.
Ghost sits quietly in the corner. He now had a name for the thorn in his side for next month or so. It's not that Ghost hates you because of small, petty things. No. He doesn't like the idea of catching feelings for you....again, but he doesn't know that. He missed his quiet, soft-spoken girlfriend, and you were making it difficult for him to even remember her. You were confident, loud when need be, and you stand your ground. Ghost didn't want to interact too much with you. Didn't want to feel like he was betraying his lovely bird back home just by talking to you.
Little does he know, you and his girlfriend are one in the same....and he was about to find out.

I don't think Soap would be this hyper-active freak in the sheets type of guy I see in a majority of fics.
I think he'd be slow, sensual, romantic.
Not overly romantic that it's almost embarrassing. No, he's the kind of romantic that reciprocates what his partner loves and probably needs.
His partner had a rough day at work? He's ordering their favorite food and preparing the ultimate self-care night. Warm bath with a skincare routine afterwards? Check. Full body massage? Check. Let's them wear his t-shirt fresh out of the dryer so it's nice and warm? Check!
I'm telling you this man would be the most attune to their partner's wants and needs
Mainly because he asked a million questions early on in the dating phase to prepare for moments like that.
Don't get me started on the sex. I swear he would go however many rounds you wanted. He wouldn't be one for overstimulation as he wouldn't stand to see his partner a complete and utter mess to where they can't physically communicate.
He definitely loves pillow talking after sex. The conversations could be about anything. Random? Serious? You guys are talking. If anything, it helps strengthen your bond together as a couple.
Let's just say there's no stress on your relationship with Soap. Now if only you didn't worry so much when he left for deployment.

Omg I LOVE this with my entire being.
simon doesn’t love rap music. he unfortunately is just not hip.
but you play it all the time in the car. kendrick. young thug. bigxthaplug. drake. megan thee stallion. lil uzi. 21. nicki. lil wayne. meek mill. future. all of it.
and as much as he hates to admit it, he finds himself head nodding along. it’s subtle at first. once he hears it for the 10 time, he can’t help but tap his finger on his leg watching while you swerve in and out of traffic.
he really starts to get into bigxthaplug. the first time he plays “the largest” at the gym in the speakers, soaps head turns suspiciously because he knows for a fact that his lieutenant was not listening to dallas rap in his free time. soap has MANY questions when 21, future, and wayne start to make their way into the rotation. soap considers stealing ghosts phone. gaz reminds him that he likes soap alive.
