I don’t like how I’ve watched anime so much I sometimes go “eto” when I’m having a hard time saying a word
Add onto the fact I say “Mira” when I want someone to say something ( Mira meaning look in Spanish ) and going “aiii” like a Mexican, I’m afraid people are gonna start thinking I can speak Spanish and Japanese 😭

There is no possible reality where this is in any way capable of being passed off as self-defense. It was never self-defense. It is, and always has been, a genocide.
Crying babies. Crying babies. This is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, meant to draw out and kill civilians while also making it far more difficult to locate and aid children who are trapped or alone.
If you have money to spare, please consider donating to some of the fundraisers on Operation Olive Branch to help people escape this genocide.
End the occupation. Free Palestine.

AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT AIZAWA WAS ACTUALLY GOING TO EXPEL THE LOWEST GRADING KID, but when it turned out to be Izuku, the kid who actually stood up to the challenge, he decided not too???
Am I big stupid????
This feels exactly like when macaque was trying to capture mk during the third season. Macaque wastes time, constantly trying to push Mks buttons. I genuinely think he was purposely trying to push mk harder so mk could win against the lady bone demon
Him… uh, getting hit in the fucking eye wasn’t apart of the plan tho, lmao.
LIKE??? AM I CRAZY???
AM I?!

I find it funny that Izuku was suppose to be a quirkless hero, but it was scrapped cuz horikoshis editor said that it wouldn’t do well in the manga daily
Tumblr media
His name was gonna be Akatani Mikumo, and horikoshi actually wanted him to be more of a Batman type character who gets into U.A though wits and strength
Which looking at the final product, you can definitely see how he kept some of the ideas in. It would also explain his rather odd neediness to want to put in a lot of political and social issues in the manga when Izuku himself is never directly involved, because I think Akatani was suppose to be involved somehow in the story before horikoshi changed it
Which when you put it like that, it would also explain a lot of other things in the sorry
And him liking bakugo so much? Cuz originally, bakugo was very “boring” in his prototype version, and hori thought he would do better in a more slice of life mangaka
Tumblr media
Also it’s worth noting in My official manga translation, first vol, he talks about bakugou and I think he says “He was like that at first. But now; he would make bakugo angry” not “it would make me angry” so… idk.
I’d show a pic but I’m literally at school talking about this LMAO

Eris quirk
Eris quirk name is “rewind” so it implies that she simply rewinds a scene, correct? Like she can reverse things, and that is the base of her quirk
Overhaul used her genetic dna to alter it- alter the way her quirk works, to make it permanent. That’s cool
And then he uses it on mirio, and mirio loses his quirk. Really sad, but nice Way his character ends….
But then it turns out eri can rewind his quirk to before he lost it [if I remember correctly] and that makes sense cuz her quirk caused it- even if it was modified- so theoretically she should be able to undo it and have it be permanent, like it never happened in the first place [like the way sega erased 06 LMAO]
But then during the battle between Izuku and overall, she constantly reminded his body to make it not break- which is nice!
Except for the fact it never seemed to come back, and i guess what I’m saying is that I kinda thought it would be temporary??? Or something???
And this also goes with his [SPOILER] missing arms too in the newest chapter..
I don’t know if I just don’t understand her quirk or not, but I thought when they said rewind it would be like pressing rewind on a tape and letting it play, but eventually you end up back where you started.
Like maybe I’m big stupid but I was under the thought that Eris quirk was temporary, and that overhaul made it permanent though changing the genetic code or something
Which implies that it def isn’t permanent
And I’m fine with mirio being rewind and it being back to normal. It was her quirk that caused it, so she’s basically undoing her quirk on him.
But like idk I feel like it shouldn’t work like that with Izuku simply cuz like her quirk didn’t cause him to break his shit in the first place?
Like maybe sense he was constantly breaking himself when she was rewinding it was kinda like a time paradox where she goes back, he breaks, and then she gots to go back even more
But then that would imply her quirk actually works in the way that people explain time changing when it comes to time travel
Like the theory that the smallest change in the river of time will cause it to go down a different path [like the meme “goes back in time and moves a chair” and the joke is that the entire timeline was changed because of the simple action] So that means that yes it is permanent because of the constant resets on his body forced a time changing flow???
And when you put it like that it would explain why when she erased her parents into thin air they wouldn’t come back because of the fact that if you rewind too far there’s just… no way for them to come back. Like rewinding on a tape so far back you just fucking break it
But like this entire theory is literally me trying to understand her quirk based on what I personally got from it. Maybe I’m super fucking wrong and it’s just a simple rewind thing that when she pauses, it’s like the time she rewind cease to exist which allows the person who’s been rewind to continue on without worry of it coming back
Which means overhaul just edited her quirk to erase other quirks.
Which. That’s probably cannon. Which is fine. I guess.
Ok now I’m starting to get why eri feels like plot convenience at times…

What MHA lacks: proper world building
In a series like MHA world building is something that is very important. Sadly, a lot of the world building we have is inconsistent and all over the place.
In my opinion, the world building aspect of MHA was definitely introduced a bit too late and the stuff that we did have in earlier seasons is inconsistent and never really followed through properly. This is stuff like:
Quirkless discrimination - honestly, this one is SO INCONSISTENT that you can argue that it doesn't exist and that Izuku just suffered for the sake of suffering. We have little to no knowledge when it comes to the whole idea of quirklesness and how a quirkless person is treated. Also, Izuku is the only one who has really faced this type of behaviour since we don't see it with characters who were quirkless like mirio, shigaraki, all might and even yuuga.
heteromorphs discrimination - we definitely know this exists but it was only ever introduced and heavily focused on in the final arc. To be honest the plot point itself doesn't make sense as there are many heteromorphs heros and people in society who seem just fine. I think it could work but it definitely needs to be established and built on a whole lot more.
Quirk marriages - I honestly feel like this plot point was just introduced for the sake of the todoroki family and nothing else. I think it was stated that this is an old outdated practice and that it's been made illegal but shouldn't we see other victims of quirk marriages and not just the todoroki family.
Child hero's - this is mainly a focus on both hawks and lady nagant and while I think this is an interesting plot point it definitely should of been built and expanded on a whole lot more. You can argue that it doesn't truly make any sense considering that it was originally stated that Japan was oversaturated by heroes.
The hero safety commission - all we get when it comes to them is that they are bad people who end up getting destroyed at the end and exploit children with powerful quirks. We don't know many things like what's their job? How do they help hero's? What's their relations with the government? What are their motives? Etc etc
The laws and legislations in MHA - see in any other show this wouldn't be needed but considering that this is MHA where heros work for the government as glorified soldiers with costumes then we kind of need a link in laws and legislations in MHA. The most prominent law is the vigilantism one but thats it.
Other stuff like the foster care system or child protective services - honestly, this is one of my major problems with MHA because you're telling me with all of the situations that there are we never see eri have a social worker or something similar like it doesn't make sense. We know orphanages exist but that just about it really.
Crime and the underworld in MHA - this is pretty vague but what I mean by it is the exploration of what really goes on in the underworld which can show things like drug trafficking, quirk trafficking, mafias or gangs ( just like overhauls)
Quirk experimentation - This could of been so much more especially with the stuff that the doctor and overhaul both gave us. How overhaul was right about the origin of quirks and how the doctor has made it possible to pass on quirks and so many other things
Misogyny and sexism - I really don't know if this came by accident but there is a lot of misogyny in MHA literally can be seen in the sports festival and that could of been a great plot point of how unfairly woman are treated in day to day life and the hero industry horikoshi does almost NOTHING about it and just sexualises the characters even more
People and their quirks - it's acknowledged there are people who struggle to control their quirks and it's a problem that hori never explored in his society. Also why is it that only heros get to use their quirks what if you have a quirk suited for your job you should be able to get a permit to use your quirk right?
These are all missed opportunities when it comes to the world building of MHA and it's own society. I must admit that some points are explored but there really isn't much depth to it as it should have and it doesn't help at all that MHA is a series that NEEDS world building for it to work.

Yeah, Izuku thought Shouto was going to hurt him here. It's relevant that he's mentioning Bakugou here while making this terrified face.
Izuku spent approximately 10 years terrorized by the most powerful prodigy in his class after being singled out for reasons he didn't understand. And now Izuku is being singled out by the most powerful prodigy of their year for reasons he does not understand and led into an isolated hallway. Izuku expects violence from this particular situation based on his prior life experience.
Izuku hadn't really internalized that he has a quirk of his own and all the social privileges that come with that at this point. So Izuku couldn't really see how different this situation was. So Shouto thinks he's confronting a rival/opponent while Izuku lowkey thinks Shouto brought him to an alley to attack him because he can get away with it.
Shouto's glaring and social ineptness isn't helping matters at all though...
