just some thoughts i have about remus lupin and his clothes:

jumpers that have been worn so much that they’ve bobbled and the cuffs have frayed. trousers that are slightly too long and trail a little on the ground. cosy socks and chunky boots. jumper sleeves that either sit too high up his wrists or completely cover his hands. oversized t-shirts with faded prints whose sleeves finish at his elbows. shirts with the first couple of buttons undone and a tie loosely hung around his neck. leather jackets that have gone soft and worn but the pockets are full of trinkets. random buttons and ticket stubs and cigarettes. pretty rocks, bottle caps and loose change.

When you really think about it, there is no proof that most human interactions happened. How am I to know that I actually had that one conversation and that it isn't just a figment of my imagination? How do I know that most of the things in my life happened? You can't fully trust human memory, we make shit up all the time. The only way to prove existance, to prove that you are here, living, doing things, is to make a mark.

Rosekiller, First Lease

This is based on a post about how Evan finds out that Barty's name is actually Bartolomeo at their wedding, but I tweaked it to be when they sign their first lease cause why not.

“Sign here, and… here.” The landlord pointed at the two dotted lines on the paper. The lease to Evan and Barty’s first flat. They had made it. They had made it away from their families, away from the craziness. They were seconds away from having the flat they’d dreamed about, in muggle London. Their own little slice of magic. But looking down at the lease, Evan frowned. 

“Wait, Barty? Why’d you write Bartolomeo? That’s not your name.”

“Actually, Evan, it is.”

“No! Your name is Bartemius, like your dad!”

“Common assumption. It’s actually Bartolomeo, like my grandfather on my mother’s side. She’s Italian.”

“Wow. I’ve known you since we were 11! We’ve been together since we were 16! And it’s taken me all these years to even know your name! Wow. Next, you’re going to tell me you have a secret passion for knitting.”

“Actually…” Barty laughed.

“Don’t you fucking dare, Bartolomeo Fucking Crouch!”

“I like poking at stuff with sharp objects… That’s literally half of what knitting is.” Barty was close to tears, he was laughing so hard.

Ok I have come across something interesting in the fic I'm writing

So I decided to put in a bucket load of angst

And it was going well for a bit

But it was draining me, so I unwrote it. I just deleted the 6k words of angst I had on a whim

And HOLY SHIT it revitalized the fic. I feel that it's so much nicer to write fluff for the main pairing (starchaser), that I'm making them closer, that they're more in love

Because of the angst I wrote and unwrote, because the story had gotten a taste of what it would have been like if they had lost each other and hurt, so now they love with a new intensity. (well it's not love yet, but we're getting there!!!)

And now it feels renewed, reborn.

I know these are really poetic descriptions for a piece of fanfiction about Harry potter's dead dad and the dead dad's best friend's little brother

But that's how it feels!!!!!
