Inktober Day 7: Drip

“Drip, drop,

On the ground,

Plink, plop,

Hear the sound,

An illness, overtaken,

Has spread across the land,

And if I’m not mistaken,

This was always planned.”

This is the rhyme that came about after a mysterious illness had run rampant across the land. A terrifying illness that would literally melt a Blankz body, until all that was left of the infected was a puddle of sludge. There was no cure, there was no known cause, and just as fast as it had arrived, it had vanished. Soon after the illness, conspiracies quickly arose about how the illness was meant for The Broken Ones, the Blankz who were imperfect, and that it had gotten out of hand, infecting everyone. The Elders quickly caught wind of this theory, and promptly denied everything. There was no evidence, only speculation. They wouldn’t go that far to achieve perfection. Would they?

Inktober Day 6: Golden

In the middle of the town stands a golden statue, one that latches onto outdated values. Despite the protest of the town, The Elders gave the go ahead to construct it anyway. A lot of coin goes towards it’s upkeep, coins that could go towards the advancement of the Blankz society. Alas, The Elders choose to live in the past, growing older and more bitter with each passing day. May that statue one day topple over and be consumed by the very earth that holds it.
