it took me a week to read the manhwa and the novel and now I'm ready. warning spoilers ahead!

So let me get this straight: God was bored, so for his own entertainment he made angels and demons (his creations) fight each other in bloody wars. When the angels got fed up with God they rebelled with only one of them remaining loyal. Which got him killed (or nearly killed), but he didn't stay dead because of God and he became a very powerful demon instead. He was so powerful that the other demons got scared of him, and eventhough he fought on their side against angels, they betrayed him and tried to kill him. Everyone wants to kill this dude he is that powerful!

This dude is so fed up with everyone that he literally let's himself be killed while still looking for a way to stick it to everyone. Which is why he was looking for a vessel to pass his powers onto. So he fr asked one of his frenemies to help him make a video game so he can choose his successor. And they landed on this really scrawny and weak guy, who looks literally like the sweetest mom friend with the shiniest blue eyes ever and proceed to torture him to decide if he is good enough to be the mvp of their video game.

And this poor guy wants to be strong so bad he is willing to do anything. Playing the game buffs him up, he gets a new haircut, makes everyone around him swoon with how badass he is to the point where everyone just shrugs, not even questioning how it is possible for the weakest guy on the planet to become this badass. This guy is the chillest, so much so that they should have named him The Unbothered King instead of The Shadow Monarch. The only time he is not chill is when someone has the audacity to say they could beat him in a fight, then he is all for throwing hands. Which is how he makes most of his friends. And in this friend group I'm including the bug he killed, who was so mesmerized by this guy that he swore loyalty to him after he was reawakened from the dead by the same guy, and the gym bro, who he beat until they had to take him away on a stretcher. This guy is the most socially inept character I've ever known, he absolutely cannot read any social clues.

So the goal is to make this guy so op that he ends the war between angels and demons and there comes a point where they test him to see if he is ready to be possessed by the OG. But og betrays his frenemy and decides at the last second bc he changed his mind or smth. So mc doesn't get possessed but gets all the og power anyway and it apparently pisses people off? And poor mc still has no idea wtf is going on but he is strong so he doesn't really care.

At one point he actually dies and finally meets the original dude who he got his powers from. And this dude explains to him all his tragic backstory and the reason behind every weird fucked up thing happening in the world. And the reason behind him not just taking over mc's body is that he is actually very happy staying dead bc he doesn't want to deal with everyone's bullshit, so instead he just peaces out and let's mc handle the world saving alone.

And then mc defeats every enemy only to turn back time bc he is a self-sacrifical idiot who wants everyone alive.

Did I get it right?

I have a confession to make

I am a big Naruto fan, but I never actually read the mangas or watched the anime. Now, before anyone comes after me saying that I can't be a Naruto fan if I haven't done either one, I want to clarify that I was six when I first saw the series and it happened to be the 'Wave Arc'. Six-year-old me was traumatized. But one specific character left an unforgettable impression on me, and that interest led me back to the series. That character was Uchiha Sasuke.

When I was finally old enough to get interested in it again and to truly appreciate it for the genius it is, there were already so many episodes that my adhd ass couldn't have possibly sat still long enough to catch up on the series. And no matter how much I love reading, I simply didn't have the money to buy 72 volumes of manga. Even so, I scraped together whatever knowledge I could of the series through youtube, tumblr, reddit, wiki etc,. I have more fanart saved on my phone than is probably healthy, but I don't care.

I have a huge interest in fictional culture and politics, and I am in awe of the world Kishimoto built, even when it's not perfect. I am endlessly fascinated by the Uchiha Clan, I will always think of Sasuke as the most captivating anime character in my life, and I will never stop being amused by the NH/SS/SNS shipping wars.

I guess I just wanted to share this little tidbit with the world because I have been intensely revisiting the 'Uchiha Sasuke' tags, and I believe the phrase "You never stop learning" applies quite nicely here. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has contributed to this fandom, I appreciate all your insights.

To end this, because I had a point I was trying to make, I could honestly not care less if anyone accuses me of not being a true Naruto fan because I know how much love I have for it.

I wanted to ramble about something that just popped into my brain while I was at work. I've been reading a lot of arcane fanfiction (as you do) and noticed an ongoing theme in most jayvik fanfics.

Most authors write Jayce as the one who realises his feelings much later than Viktor does and most times he is depicted as a dumbass for not realising it sooner. And they are right! We love Jayce, he is a sweetheart but he is also a dumb puppy. But that's not my point, rather why does Viktor never make the first move and confess?

I'll tell you why. It doesn't matter if Viktor fell in love with Jayce that first night or if he slowly developed feelings for him. From a social standing Viktor can't make the first move on Jayce. And it's not only because he's a Zaunite. Jayce is a handsome young man from Piltover with a good family name and patrons who raise his social standing and he just newly founded the most revolutionary invention of the city. That man has got to have high marriage prospects to look out for that would raise him even higher in the eyes of the elite. Viktor, a disabled Zaunite, who had to fight for every inch of space in this uppity society and had to learn how to traverse the expectations of his new home in order to be able to stay up there, knows that. Viktor knows, that were anything to happen between him and Jayce, it would automatically lower Jayce's status. Additionally, he is a scientist firts and foremost, who just got the opportunity of a lifetime and has the chance to work with an amazing partner (who he doesn't want to lose). What happens to Jayce would affect Hextech and Viktor is not going to risk his life's work. Viktor loves Jayce and Hextech and he isn't going to do anything that might potentially jeopardise both, because sadly the two things go hand-in-hand. I think he'd rather remain in the background, so his presence wouldn't affect the things he loves most (we have seen this in the series when he declines going up on stage with Jayce). And this isn't even taking into account that they're both man and let's be honest, I don't think Pilties are as accepting as they want to pretend.

It's sad, but Viktor would not initiate a relationship when it would be foreboding for Jayce and Hextech.
