Another day another appointment.

There is nothing more demoralising than this, I would truly rather be anywhere but here, in waiting to speak with yet another specialist.

Other people say I’m lucky to get time off school or out of college but what they don’t know is it’s just another surgery, another invasive examination, another test, a new prescription and you know all it’s going to lead to is more time with your pain management team.

If I wasn’t here and my body hadn’t failed me I’d be skating, I’d be dancing, I’d be running, I’d be going out with my friends to get food, food that I could keep down. If only this hadn’t happened to me.

I am halfway through the second chapter of blackbirds (my early marauders fic about the black sister) and I know I’ve said it before but I think I’ll actually finish this chapter soon…

I actually have so many ideas for this story all the time but exams season + chronic fatigue diagnosis + terrible English speaking skills do slow me down somewhat.

Apparently the average person only sees a doctor like seven times a year… this is my third appointment of the month. I am four days into the month.

Today I walked like 3 miles, got on 3 buses and 2 trains, drank vodka and orange juice (best combo of all time) in the SUN, saw my friends, ate complex carbohydrates and had a great day.

Basically tomorrow I’m going to be completely incapacitated and so fatigued I can’t stand! So excited

Maybe it’s just because I’m white as a ghost but I have to wear sunscreen daily lest I come home looking like a ham. Anyway today I forgot to do my ears so it’s time for some impromptu braids to keep them covered

Sometimes you’ve got to sleep from 7-10pm then get out of bed for a bath, faint the moment you’re upright, regain consciousness, crawl to the bath, cry in pain and then eat some cheesecake 🍰

Anyway, I’m eating cheesecake right now and it is DELISH!!
