A non-negligible amount of people in the fandom dislike Grim, but I'll put it out there that I'm one of the 50% of the fandom who actually likes him. Why?
He's ugly. He's stinky. He has no redeeming features. He's a little creature with not even half a brain.
That's it. Unlike me fighting for Malleus' fictional rights, I really don't have anything to say about Grim because he is greedy, he is gluttonous, he's a little dick who has zero self awareness. But he does love the player, and though he has the empathy of a loaf of bread, he pulls through sometimes and shows he's scared of losing them. Like once a year.
And honestly that's enough for me. For all his faults and the amount of shit he puts Yuu through, I still do appreciate the companionship he offers. I like to think Grim's shenanigans make Yuu forget about their homesickness, and give the relief that they're able to make a family in this strange world.
I do understand why people would be sick of him though lol. I had a little experience teaching toddlers when I was a teenager, and I quickly learned that I'm more tolerant than most. That's probably why I can't get mad at him. Grim is worse than most toddlers though, and given he also has the spirit of a cat mixed in, it's really not a surprise that he'd tire out lots of folks. 🤣
But for the curious and can't understand why we love Grim, it's just the silly kind of warmth and companionship he offers. Kind of like why cat lovers have a toxic relationship with their cats who use their arm as a scratch post lol. And honestly it's fine if we don't get understood; affection just comes differently to people.

Help a Family in Need
I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Mohamad S., who is facing one of the most challenging times of his life. Mohamad is 37 years old and left his homeland in 2015 in search of a safer and better future. He’s a kind, hardworking man, and his small family has always been his greatest priority.
Living abroad, Mohamad has recently endured unimaginable loss and financial strain. Amidst the ongoing conflict in his homeland, his mother passed away, leaving behind his sister and her five young children—the last remaining members of his immediate family.
As the situation worsened, Mohamad managed to help his sister and her children escape to safety in Egypt, covering their immediate needs and securing a temporary refuge for them. Since then, he has been fully responsible for providing everything they need to survive during this transition.
In his efforts to support his family and cope with this devastating loss, Mohamad has found himself deeply in debt. To make matters even more difficult, he recently underwent knee surgery, which limits his ability to return to work for the foreseeable future. This has made it even harder for him to manage his financial responsibilities and the pressing need to provide his family with a stable future.
Mohamad is now working to bring his sister and her five children to join him in Belgium, where he hopes they can find stability and opportunity after all they’ve endured. This transition, however, requires significant resources that he is currently unable to meet alone.
For privacy reasons, we are not sharing Mohamad’s full name, as he has chosen to keep his identity discreet. While he initially refused the idea of asking for help, I couldn’t stand by and watch him struggle alone. I insisted on doing this for him because he deserves a chance to overcome these challenges.
Your contribution will help Mohamad repay the debt incurred during this difficult time, cover ongoing living expenses for his family, and assist with the costs involved in bringing them safely to Belgium.
Mohamad has been a good friend of mine for years, and I’ve always admired his resilience and generosity. Any support, no matter the size, will make an incredible difference in helping Mohamad and his family rebuild their lives after these painful experiences.
Thank you for reading his story and considering helping a man who has always done everything he can for his loved ones.
Adam

BABY
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The boys invite you over to their house but now suffer with their moms/siblings/parents showing you their baby pictures<3 gn reader!!!
-
Ace trappola
He leaves for ONE second. One second and he can already hear your small giggles coming from his room as he hears the voice of his older brother with you.
Oh gross don’t tell me he’s flirting with you!
Ace thinks as he quickly shoots his way up the stairs. The boy brows were furrowed as he slams the door wide open. He was ready to cuss up a storm like a sailor and tell his brother to fuck off and leave but froze once he sees what you’re holding.
Oh
OH!
You were the first one to break the silence as you throw your head back as a laugh escapes your lips.
“Oh sevens you were one ugly baby!” You say. Trying very hard to keep in your giggles as you look over at the picture. His brother cackling right next to you.
“Oh totally! He looked like a dried up raisin” His brother says in between laughter.
“HEY! No I didn’t!” Ace can feel the tip of his ears heat up as he marches right towards you two.
“These pictures say otherwise” You flipped to the second page and quickly slapped your hand over your mouth.
“Oh sevens…” Ace quickly tries snatching the book from your hands but his brother stops him before he could.
“Oh my! Is that-“
“Yep! He couldn’t go ANYWHERE without it!” In the picture, you can see THE ace trappola standing with a wide toothy grin on his face as he holds onto an equally adorable bunny stuffed animal.
“Oh this one is my favorite!” He points to a photo of baby Ace dressed up as a strawberry as he cried his eyes out. You can see his brother standing next to him with a big smile on his face as Ace looks like he’s about to pop a vain. The next picture shows him all calm and smiley as he’s given his favorite bunny stuffed animal.
“Aweeee ace! You were so adorable!!” You squeal. With his brother now laughing and wheezing, Ace was able to immediately snatch the photo album from your hands as his whole face was a bright cherry red.
“Okay that’s enough and get the hell outta my room jack ass!”
-
Deuce spade
He should’ve known something was up when it suddenly got quiet. He carefully walks back to his room with a tray in hand filled with cookies. The moment he opens the door he lets out a loud shriek as he watches his mom excitedly showing you his baby pictures.
“M-mom? What are you-“
“This was him at 2 months! Isn’t he cute?”
“For sure! Aw look at those chubby cheeks!”
“Oh and this was on his 6th birthday party! Look at those dimples!” She says as you squealed in awe. The two of you continued to flip through the baby album as deuce turned redder and redder by the seconds.
“Aww you were such a cutie deucy!” His face instantly goes red as he sets down the tray on the table.
“Oh oh! And look at this!”
“Is that a bunny onesie?” You squeal out. He immediately gulps knowing the embarrassing stories behind that onesie.
“Yes! I bought it for him for the white rabbit fest! He loved it so much he would always wear it to bed or when we go buy groceries. He cried really hard when he outgrew it though”
“I-I did not! I was just sad that’s all! I did not cry!”
“Oh! Look at this one! This was taken on his first day of school! I still remember it like it was yesterday. After taking that photo, he wouldn’t let go of me! He didn’t want to go in at all and we had to have three teachers come and drag him inside as he cried his little heart out! I remember feeling so terrible but I had to go to work”
“Okay that’s enough! No more baby photos and embarrassing stories!” He says as he snatches the book away.
“No wait please I want to see more!”
-
Sebek Zigvolt
It’s been 5 minutes already and you still weren’t back from the bathroom! You told him you would be quick and now he’s slowly growing impatient from your absence. He gets up and storms out of the room as he makes his way to the bathroom.
“Human! You have been in there for almost 10 minutes! Is something wrong?!” Silence. He frowns before knocking again.
“You know we have to study for that Alchemy test this upcoming week!”
Again nothing. Just as he was about to knock again a loud laugh and giggles could be heard from downstairs. And those giggles sounded eerily familiar.
Wait
That’s your giggles!
In a speed of light does he make it downstairs and to the kitchen where the laughs and giggles were coming from.
There stood you and his father going through sebek baby photo album.
“W-what are you doing?!” He screeched.
“Oh sebek! I was just showing your friend your baby photos!” His father said cheerfully. The half fae turned bright red as he was ready to yell but was stopped the moment he heard his name being called from behind him.
“Sebek Zigvolt. What did I tell you about yelling in the house?!” There stood his mother. Brows furrowed as her arms were crossed over her chest.
“Anywho! Look! This was him when he first came into this world!”
“Awww! I guess he’s always been loud from the looks of it” You say. Chuckling at the photo in front of you.
“Oh don’t get me started. He was crying up a storm and I swear I could feel my eardrums burst” His mother sighs as she walks over to the sink. His father smiles as he looks down at the album.
“Yeah he was a crier. Oh look at this one!” He shows you a picture of 4 month old sebek staring wide eyed at the camera. Chubby cheeks and big ole eyes.
“Awww! You were adorable!”
“Oh this is my favorite one!” His mother points at one where you can see sebek wearing a knight costume. From the looks of it it must’ve been Halloween. He wore a proud smile as he held up his sword. You coo at the photo as they both continued to show you more.
“Oh look at this one! He saw a horror movie for the first time and there was a scene where the father sacrifices himself for his kids and he burst out into tears! He wouldn’t let go of his dad for weeks!”
“Enough! Let’s go back to studying!” He says as he grabs your hand and pulls you away from his parents and the photo album.
“Wait no one more !”

tw: mentions of blood and death and also brief mention assault (by a npc)
Tumblr media
Omg I was watching shrek with my dad and we got to that scene where shrek was rescuing fiona from the castle and I was struck with the idea of princess reader being locked in a castle guarded by dragon malleus. Like I don’t even know how it would happen, maybe you're locked away for your safety and dragon malleus is chained up to guard your tower. Maybe malleus is cursed and he’s stuck in the dragon form until, dare I say, true love kiss breaks his spell.
At first he only protects the tower because of all the gargoyles that surround the peaks of the towers. He’s never seen gargoyles that look like that before. Such pretty sights should be protected from outsiders. And the castle is in such a good location too, with a perfect amount of sun and rain, warmth and cold, nothing like the cold and bleak weather and landscape of briar valley. It’s perfect.
Of course it would be, if it wasn’t for the chain that burns him every time he tugs too tight and clanks with every move he makes. Oh and you're there too. The young princess for the neighboring kingdom that quivers at the sight of him. Small and meek. He only snorts in amusement everytime he catches sight of you peering at him from behind a wall. You're lucky he still has much to grow. Surely, if you saw him at his full maturity, you would have died on the spot.
But alas, you’re here. Quiet and shy. Keeping to yourself. He can often hear the soft pitter patter of your feet roaming the vast, empty halls of the castle during the day. The soft sighs that leave your mouth as you eat your meals by yourself. And the muffled sobs from your chambers upon the tall tower. You're nothing but a miserable human in his eyes. But deep down, he knows the both of you are the same.
Regardless, things stay silent for the next couple of years. The both of you are older, the chain around his neck grows tighter and the loneliness of this castle weighs heavier on your shoulders. Though the both of you stay to your sides of the castle, rarely interacting. Occasionally, the castle will get a visitor. A knight coming to rescue the princess, dressed in some over the top, gaudy, amour that's really more for show then for anything else. They’re always loud and rude, coming in dirty and swinging around their weapon of choice across the well-kept walls of the castle. Oftentimes damaging something in their whirl of self-righteousness.
And Malleus would be fine with them coming and taking you away. Afterall, if he’s cursed to solitude then he would very much enjoy being in complete solitude then to feel the curious gaze of his unwelcome roommate every few days. But for some odd reason, these wannabe savior knights come swinging and yelling at him. He couldn’t believe it at first, this human coming full force at him? He’s done nothing to warrant such actions.
It wasn’t until the fifth unwanted pest came did Lilia show up out of the blue and relay the rumors that had spread across the land. A terrifying monster has taken the princess from her kingdom and refuses to let her go. Malleus listens with interest, growing increasingly frustrated at the tale that the princess’s own father seems to let grow. Foolish humans believing anything that is fed to them. His distaste for you grows.
Time goes on with more and more unruly brutes coming into his territory and attacking him. And it’s not like he hasn’t tried to let them just go get you after a few minutes of trying to satiate their desire for battle. (despite the blow to his pride that he’ll face) But no, they seem fully intent on killing him. The pile of amour and bones grows as the years drag by.
The sobs that seem to echo throughout the now burnt and scarred walls ceased a long time ago. Instead sits a chilling silence. Before he could at least hear the soft hums of your voice, but now he couldn’t even hear your footsteps. The weather and environment seem to reflect this shift. The sun hidden away by the thick, grey clouds and cold winds replace any warmth. Once a magnificent, mighty castle now a ruin. The feeling settles deep in his bones.
Then one day, years after the first arrival came a knight dressed in iron. A knight that stood mightier than the rest. Head held higher than one of royalty. He seemed noble, but Malleus could smell the greed, feel the wrath in gaze. He fought like a warrior, one with years of experience on the battlefield. For once Malleus felt something other than annoyance. Was this fear?
Usually, battles were quick and to the point. And yet, Malleus found himself leaving the confines of his area. His body moves him farther and farther into your space. Well kept and unharmed from the countless battles that have been fought throughout the years.
And yet, this knight left him no choice but to retreat further in. This knight was not like the others. There were countless times that this knight should have fallen, but everytime the knight rose and drew his blade. Magic, Malleus growled, he should have seen it earlier. The pungent smell of dark magic now assaulted his nose.
Despite his efforts, Malleus fell after a sword pierced his thick, indestructible scales. A searing pain raced through his body. It felt like the sword was burning him from the inside in. His head fell limply on the garden of flowers you had been taking care of for years at this point. The sweet scent of the flowers wafted up his nose, he couldn't help but wonder if you smelt this sweet as well.
Through his deep breaths, he could hear the knight run up the steps of your tower. Ready to claim his prize. Malleus waited to hear your voice, excited and full of warmth towards your savior, waited to hear your laughter as the knight swept you off your feet. But that never came.
Instead, came a shout. Things crashed and broke inside your tower. Something ripped and your shouts became whimpers. Soft and desperate pleas reached his ears instead. And for once, your sobs weren’t of sadness but fear.
A surge of energy exploded across him like never before. Rising from the rubble, Malleus roared. Lightening clashing in the distance. With one swift swipe of his claws, the wall of your tower came tumbling down. Leaving him to gaze down at a sight enraged him to his core.
The Knight drew his sword, shouts of disbelief leaving his pathetic mouth. But Malleus’ couldn’t be bothered, his gaze soon rested on you, who cowered and shielded your form with the ripped cloth of your dress. Without thinking Malleus lowered his head towards you and gently brushed against your side with his nose. Your shivering stopped.
Pulling away, Malleus did quick work in getting rid of the monster that found its way into his home. Dragging the knight away from your tower with a singular claw, Malleus showed him no mercy. The knight's cries only fueled Malleus’ delight. Blood spilled across his scales, staining your garden of flowers and finally the knight's cries turned whimpers ceased.
The thunderstorm that had raged followed in a similar manner. A breeze blew across Malleus’s scale and suddenly it became a lot harder to ignore the burning of his neck. Exhausted, Malleus fell back with a huff. Licking the wound that only burned him in turn. Until he could get that wretched sword out, he wouldn’t heal. But the pain was turning out to be too much for him to bear.
Then he heard the familiar pitter patter of your feet. Peering up, Malleus watches you approach. The cloak you wore was too large on your frame, practically swallowing you whole. You looked up at him with wide eyes, brimmed with red. He expected fear, but your eyes sparkled with gratitude.
Hesitantly, you reach out your hand and stop inches away from his nose. Malleus looked down at the princess that once avoided him like a plague and something soft and warm bloomed across his chest. Your eyes were closed, not in fear but trust, and despite his better judgement, he leaned his great and mighty head against the soft expanse of your hand. And that warm feeling exploded across his body, as if a thousand suns bloomed in his lonely heart.
“Thank you.”
And just like that, Malleus decided that maybe this wasn’t a curse afterall.

*ੈ✩‧₊˚ friends forever
summary: a beaded competition for yuu's affections type of post: drabbles characters: all students additional info: platonic or romantic, gender neutral reader, reader is yuu, based on an ask I got a while ago, fluffy, predictable sappy ending
Word travels fast at Night Raven College.
Gossip, secrets, whispers exchanged in the darkened halls, from student to professor, to professor to ghost, to student again.
The Ramshackle Prefect was beaming, bright as the dawn itself on Monday morning, a string of blue plastic beads on one arm. They seldom smiled so much, and for good reason- but Monday, they were glowing, holding out their wrist, and telling anyone who would listen about the gift their "best friend" had given them. It was an enthralling sight.
Deuce Spade, the poor, sweet boy, had become patient zero.
Tumblr media
Word travels faster at Night Raven College when it's about the Prefect.
Deuce Spade had claimed title of best friend with a string and sixteen translucent plastic beads, something that made Ace Trappola itch. He didn't care! He didn't! Of course, he stayed up all night, trying and failing and trying again, to tie the tiny knot on a black-and-red beaded bracelet. But that didn't mean he cared!
It's on your arm, right above Deuce's, on Tuesday.
"Thank you, Ace!" you had smiled, announcing it to the entire unbirthday party. "You really are my best friend!"
Ace looked over his shoulder to smugly grin at his dormmates. "Aww, this old thing? It's nothing, just thought your wrist looked a little lonely with only one,"
It was a rather strange sight: the housewarden of Heartslabyul, his scepter and crown set to the side, his back hunched as he strung black, red, and gold beads over his desk that night. Riddle Rosehearts marched over to you first thing in the morning, set his bracelet in your waiting palm, and marched away, his face redder than his hair.
Trey Clover had forgotten all about homework, promising Deuce two week's worth of dish duty in exchange for beads and string. Forest green and black. He was too shy to give it to you himself, and left it at your doorstep in a basket of tea leaves and leftover tart. It smells of vanilla.
Cater Diamond made sure to snap a pic of his bracelet on your arm, black, red, and orange beads, with his and your initials right next to each other. "#BFFs #besties"
His Magicam story was viewed over 6,000 times.
...Mostly by the same people, over and over.
Ruggie Bucchi had a different take on the situation. See, he didn't have the kinda cash to spend on beads and string and fancy charms, and so you wore a striking dandelion crown to your classes on Thursday morning.
Jack Howl braided you a simple, brown-stringed band to wear on your wrist or ankle or wherever you liked it. You had told him you loved it, rumor said.
Then, all came to a halt.
Word spread that Leona Kingscholar had tried gifting you an expensive, golden-beaded bracelet from his home, (one that would haven taken up half your forearm), and you had refused it. You couldn't possibly accept such a nice gift, you said.
You would, as it seemed, only accept handmade friendship bracelets.
Kalim al-Asim kept Jamil Viper up all night, weaving and unweaving, beading and unbeading, doing and redoing and redoing again, until he had perfected your friendship bracelet in all colors of the rainbow. Little did he know that Jamil had already given you one that afternoon. It smelled of spices, giving away the fact that he had made it in between cooking meals.
Azul Ashengrotto told his staff he was taking a morning off to study, went to the beach, and collected shells in every shape and color. He strung them on black fishing line, and smiled as he gave them to you, free of charge. "Just something to remember me by when I'm away," he said, his face redder than it felt.
Floyd Leech had started one, but became bored of the tedious beading after ten minutes and decided to dedicate his next basketball win to you instead. Jade Leech finished it, and, while his brother was distracted, lined the teal-and-black striped beads with mushroom-shaped charms.
Vil Schoenheit never half-asses anything, friendship bracelet or not. He would do most anything to hear those sweet words of thanks on your lips (not that he'd admit it), even if that means taking hours out of his busy schedule to dye white yarn in wine and weave it with his gilded initials and red, bejeweled hearts. He likes seeing himself on you.
Rook Hunt, ever the nonconformist, fashions you a necklace out of broken bow strings and an arrowhead from his favorite quiver. He puts it on you himself, his fingers brushing against your throat and lingering on the back of your neck for a moment too long, as if enjoying the feeling of your heartbeat.
But Epel Felmier outdoes them all.
For on Friday morning, you come to class with a bracelet of lavender-painted wooden beads, his initials carved into the soft oak, and he comes in wearing the same bracelet, but with yours.
How had no one thought to make a matching one for themselves???
Idia Shroud 3D prints a bracelet in your favorite color, and Ortho Shroud engraves the flat surface with your favorite characters... they make two more for themselves, as if in a sort of secret club. It gives Idia quite the thrill to think about, though he'd never say it.
Sebek Zigvolt hmphs at the idea of showing such loyalty to a mere human, until Silver and Lilia Vanrouge return from an early morning stroll with baskets of acorns, flowers, and pine nuts for bracelet-making. Sebek and Silver both make theirs in earthy wooden tones and shimmering shades of rose and violet. Lilia sneaks in a few animal teeth and bone fragments. For good luck.
Malleus Draconia, tedious as it is, spends his Sunday morning spinning his own string, and lining it with beads, tiny in his hands, and small pieces of smooth glass and stone from Ramshackle. He gifts it to you with a blessing, a promise of your eternal friendship, in this world and the next.
By the end of the week, your arms are heavy with beads, shells, stone, nuts, flowers, and charms, covered from wrist to elbow. You can't move without sounding like a wind chime, jingling and clinking with each step.
Your friends eagerly await your praises, not-so-subtly asking which bracelet is your favorite, or, frankly, who is your best friend?
You promise an answer soon.
Thus, on Monday morning, you arrive with only one bracelet.
Sloppily made, in soft blues and grays, with the cut-out logo of a tuna can label stuck to your wrist, and a smiling Grim holding the hand beneath it.

ace trappola has a problem.
ace knows that when compared to The malleus draconia, there's really no reason for you to pick him as a partner. being your best friend, he tells himself, is just as good.
its not.
but its whatever! who cares! ace would much rather be able to hang out with you than to risk it and ruin your friendship with a lame confession. besides, he sees the way malleus looks at you and even if it twists this way and that in his chest at the sight, he still knows that a prince was the only right answer.
malleus draconia has a problem. he knows that when compared to The ace trappola, there's really no reason to pick him as a best friend. malleus is not as well versed in what humans are interested in and despite the late night walks and quiet conversations, malleus knows that the heartslabyul duo, specifically trappola, are deserving of the "best friend" title. maybe being just a friend would be enough for malleus?
it wasn't.
unbeknownst to a lot of people, malleus was selfish. it wasn't usually a trait he showed but it was more obvious when he hung out with you. in his excitement to finally have company other than those he considered family, he tended to strong arm conversations. could you blame him? he never once before had someone to discuss at length the things he was interested in and you were just so curious about everything in this world that you would let him ramble on for hours about this and that.
but alas, he still wasn't your best friend.
so malleus came up with a plan. he would set you and trappola together. a boyfriend was a whole new title and in the absence of a "best friend" malleus could swoop in and claim his rightful spot by your side. as the best friend.
yes, malleus most certainly liked this idea.
deuce was just along for the ride.

❤︎ five years ago on valentine's day, you left twisted wonderland and left ace behind ❤︎ ace trappola x gn reader ❤︎ wc: 1k ❤︎ content warning(s): spoilers for chapter 7/inspired loosely off of ace's dream, reader is mc ❤︎ farteline prompt day one: see you again ❤︎ happy valentine's day guys -🍝
Tumblr media
ace trappola doesn’t consider himself to be a philosophical kind of guy, but as of late, he’s started to detest the growing infinity of numbers.
sometimes in his dreams, he’s still a sixteen year old boy. the biggest concern in his mind is how he’s going to steal part of deuce’s lunch and manage to wiggle his way out of it without getting shoved into a headlock by his roommate, and if his brain is feeling particularly agreeable, he can make out the peals of soft laughter in the distance under deuce spewing insults towards the redhead.
and without fail, the alarm goes off, and ace is left with the humiliation of groggily rubbing his eyes open to an oddly cold bed.
it’s one extra day that he wakes up without you by his side. without you in this world.
the number of days since you’ve left twisted wonderland only grows bigger. they get further and further away from zero and closer to unending infinity. it takes ace a bit longer this morning to force himself up into a seated position. it’s as if there’s a physical weight in his chest bogging him down, making it that much harder for him to get up.
it’s been 1,825 days. he hates that he cares enough to keep count. if he didn’t care as much, he wouldn’t keep count, and then, it wouldn’t hurt as much to ruminate over it. some days are better than others, and the grief is just a whisper in the back of his mind. on other days, it’s all he can think about, especially when his dreams are so vivid.
ace wants to close his eyes and sink back into the fleeting comfort of his bed again. his version of you in his sober, waking mind is so blurry and hazy, but behind his eyelids, you’re right at his fingertips. it’s almost like if he gathers his courage and reaches out, you’d be right there. you’d melt into his arms and scold him for being so reckless and brazen, and he’d soak up your voice like a spoiled cat throwing a tantrum in its owner’s arms.
it drives him crazy to think that this is the only way he can have you.
would you still recognize him if you were to see him after all this time has passed? would you ruffle his hair like you always did and call to him as if he were still nothing more than the stupid boy in your class? or would you get shy about how much taller and slimmer he’s gotten? he can imagine the way your eyes would widen slightly before averting your gaze, fidgeting with the ends of your fingertips, and just imagining the scene before him has ace’s heart reacting noticeably.
but there’s no point to it. you’re not here.
no matter how much he runs, fantasy only ebbs away into heartbreak. his veins feel as if they’ve been filled with lead instead of blood, and the grief gnaws away at him until it causes physical pain. ace winces and grits his teeth, recoiling into the plush material of his bed, but even though he tries to hide from the monsters by retreating into the safety of his blankets, reality is far scarier and far meaner than any boogie man he could conjure up.
he can’t even console himself with the thought that you might be happier in your world. he doesn’t know where you are or what you’re doing. maybe everything would hurt less if he could at least see you, hear from you, but as the days tick by, the only answer his desperate prayers have netted him is the silence that he just can’t seem to get used to. time won’t heal him. it never will.
it makes him feel so helpless. even more inferior to the sixteen year old boy that squandered the one and precious love that crash-landed straight into his lap. everything was easier then, sweeter, since he had no idea of the lifetime of hurt he’d have to face when the idyllic daydream would end. there are no retries for him, no second chances, no do-overs to do the right thing and chase after you and cling to you and beg and beg and beg until his voice goes hoarse in one final futile attempt to force this twisted world to listen to his own selfishness.
it’s too late. it’s no use. he knows this. he accepts this. but god, he can’t live with this.
you’re gone now.
ace is no longer the immature sixteen year old boy that you knew. time has cruelly nipped at his heels, and as his ongoing count of seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, and years carry on, they’ve caught up with him too. the lively, boyish charm in his eyes is gone, and the lingering baby fat in his face has slimmed down. his once deft fingers are now lifeless, and his smooth palms that would grab at you are calloused and lonely. when ace looks at himself in the mirror now, all he sees are sunken eyes with dark circles and pallid cheeks.
valentine’s day tastes like regret to ace. the numbers 2 and 14 are a curse you’ve left on him, as punishment for his idiocy and for his lack of action. all the words he’s left unsaid sink in his stomach year after year like tears he can’t seem to fully choke down. his heart is nothing more than a heavy rock in his chest, no longer able to muster the strength to even scream and cry and claw at his skin until he tires himself out physically. all he can do now is to learn how to live with the heartache, to constantly oscillate between the void and the distance that only grows and grows between the two of you.
it’s been five years. 1,825 days since you’ve left his side—left this world.
ace detests the growing infinity of numbers.

Royal Scandal- Ruggie Bucchi x reader
You're being forced to marry someone to take the throne you've fought your entire life for. Okay, if that's how it is, you'll make sure to choose the one person here that your dearest parents will disapprove of the most.
I really like how this one turned out!
Tumblr media
The ballroom was resplendent, filled with swirling silks, dazzling jewels, and a sea of royals from every corner of the world. It was your nightmare, distilled into one room. You stood at the head of the grand staircase, glaring down at the crowd, feeling utterly betrayed by your parents.
You—the crown heir, a skilled warrior, a tactical genius, and the pride of your kingdom—reduced to nothing more than a prize in a political matchmaking game. It was an insult.
“Really?” you muttered to yourself, grip tightening on the bannister. “They think they can push me into marriage to take the throne? They’ll regret this.”
From across the room, the usual parade of suitors hovered about, each one vying for a moment of your attention. They were all here to win your hand, though it was clear many of them weren’t here for you. The throne, the kingdom, the alliances—it was all just a game of power to them.
And then there was him. The only non-royal standing awkwardly by the hors d'oeuvres table. Ruggie Bucchi.
Ruggie was here because of Leona, and Leona was here because Falena had pawned off the responsibility of attending this ridiculous event onto his younger brother. But as usual, Leona wasn’t particularly interested in mingling with anyone. He had quickly made his way to the most comfortable couch in the room, leaving his attendant Ruggie to do all the heavy lifting—literally. Ruggie was managing Leona’s food, drinks, and handling the other guests with a sharp smile that concealed just how little he wanted to be here.
Leona had been an unexpected ally ever since your diplomatic trip to the Savannah, where your banter had somehow sparked an unlikely friendship. Leona, for all his royal airs, had grown fond of teasing you relentlessly, and the two of you exchanged jabs every chance you got.
You've met Ruggie before, during the visit. You knew of his circumstances and a wonderful plan was brewing inside you at this moment.
Ruggie wasn’t a suitor. He wasn’t even remotely interested in this ball. And yet…
A grin began to spread across your face.
Oh, this could work.
Tumblr media
The next morning, the grand hall was packed with suitors, ministers, and your parents, all eagerly awaiting your declaration. The tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a sword.
“Today,” your father began with his booming voice, “our heir will announce their chosen partner. We know that this decision will aid in the prosperity of our kingdom.”
Your mother nodded, casting you a pointed look, as if to remind you of the importance of this moment. Oh, if only she knew what was coming.
You stepped forward, scanning the room with a serene smile. Your heart raced with excitement as you looked past all the anxious, hopeful suitors. Finally, your gaze landed on Ruggie, who stood in the corner, shoving the last of a sandwich into his mouth. He caught your eye, freezing mid-chew.
You raised a hand, pointing directly at him. “I have chosen Ruggie Bucchi.”
There was a deafening beat of silence before your declaration actually registered.
Your parents’ smiles froze, the air in the room turning cold. The ministers paled, their gazes snapping toward Ruggie, who was standing in the back, his next sandwich halfway to his mouth. He blinked, looking over his shoulder like you couldn’t possibly mean him. Maybe there was a “Ruggie Bucchi” that he didn’t know about?
But the world stopped when it hit that yes, you did mean that Ruggie Bucchi—the hyena from the slums of the Sunset Savanna who had no royal blood, no land to offer, no armies. Just a cunning smile and a love for free food.
Leona, sitting lazily on the side, blinked at you before letting out a sudden burst of laughter, the sound echoing through the hall. His usual smirk widened into something truly wicked as he turned to your parents with a shrug. “Well, what did you expect? You did say they could choose anyone in the room, didn’t you?”
Your parents were speechless, their faces a mix of horror and disbelief. Your mother looked like she might faint, and your father sputtered, glancing between you and Ruggie, who still hadn’t moved from his spot at the back of the room. He slowly lowered the sandwich, looking very much like he was rethinking every life choice he had ever made.
Leona, never one to miss an opportunity for chaos, leaned back in his chair and grinned even wider. “It would be a shame if you went back on your word now. After all, it was very clear—whoever they chose, right? I’m sure the esteemed royals wouldn’t go back on a promise they made to their only heir in front of all these witnesses.”
Your father’s mouth opened and closed, his face rapidly turning a shade of purple as he tried to find words that wouldn’t cause a diplomatic disaster. Your mother’s eyes darted around the room, probably searching for an escape route. Meanwhile, the ministers exchanged horrified glances, clearly trying to figure out how to spin this in a way that wouldn’t end in utter embarrassment.
Leona, of course, wasn’t done yet. “You know,” he added, casually inspecting his nails, “a promise is a promise. And from where I’m sitting, it looks like Ruggie here’s your new royal consort.” His eyes sparkled with mirth, clearly loving every second of the madness you'd just incited. “After all, we wouldn’t want to insult the future ruler’s decision, right?”
You could practically see your parents’ souls leaving their bodies.
Ruggie, to his credit, finally stopped gaping like a fish and straightened up, wiping crumbs from his vest and putting on a cocky grin, like he had totally planned for this from the start. “Welp, looks like I’m movin’ up in the world,” he said, swaggering forward, though the slight wobble in his step gave away his shock. He shot Leona and you a glance that screamed, Why are you doing this to me? But Leona just gave him a lazy shrug in response, clearly enjoying the show. And you just grinned back at him.
Your mother finally found her voice, though it was shaky at best. “This… this can’t be—”
“Oh, but it can.” your voice cut through the hall, smooth as silk and twice as smug. “You said anyone. Don’t tell me you’re regretting those words now?”
Your father visibly swallowed, realizing the bind he was in. The ministers were sweating bullets, clearly hoping someone else would step in and stop this disaster, but no one dared to speak. After all, it would be political suicide to go against a future ruler’s decision in front of a room full of witnesses.
Ruggie had now reached the front, his grin widening as he gave a quick, exaggerated bow to you, looking for all the world like a cat that had just caught a very large mouse. “Guess I’m your guy now, huh?”
You flashed him a triumphant smile, your eyes sparkling with mischief. “Looks like it.”
Your father, still in a state of shock, muttered something about tradition, but it was too late. The damage was done. You had chosen Ruggie, and with Leona egging on the entire thing, there was no way they could take it back without creating an uproar.
Leona, still lounging like the king of chaos he was, gave you a little salute. “Congrats to the happy couple. Can’t wait to see the wedding.”
Your parents looked like they might faint. The suitors—well, some of them looked relieved to not be part of this train wreck, but others were trying very hard not to burst into outrage. Ruggie just stood there, now fully committed to the bit, his grin as wide as ever.
And so, with your parents begrudgingly forced to accept your choice, the announcement was made. You had successfully thrown the entire royal court into chaos, and judging by the look on your face, this was far from over.
As for Ruggie, well, he was already calculating how much food he could swindle from the wedding feast.
Tumblr media
After the uproar finally died down, and the ministers and royals reluctantly dispersed—each with their own whispers and murmurs of the chaos that had just ensued—you managed to pull Ruggie aside, away from the prying eyes of the court. His expression was still a mix of disbelief and amusement, as though he couldn’t quite wrap his head around what had just happened.
“Well, that was something,” he said, rubbing the back of his neck, a sheepish grin tugging at his lips. “I’ve had some wild gigs before, but to be the royal consort? That’s a new one.”
You couldn’t help but chuckle at his casual tone, even as the situation around you felt anything but. You led him into one of the side corridors, away from the grand hall, before stopping to face him. Ruggie crossed his arms, clearly curious about where this was going. “Alright, spill it. What’s the deal here?”
You took a deep breath, collecting your thoughts. “I know that whole declaration just now was insane, but I had to do something drastic.”
“Yeah, drastic is one way to put it,” he snickered, leaning against the wall, waiting for you to continue.
“I’m the only heir to the throne,” you began, the frustration in your voice evident. “I’ve trained my whole life for this. The swordsmanship, the diplomacy, the studies. I’ve done it all. But my parents—” you trailed off, your voice tight with anger, “—they won’t let me take the throne unless I get married. It’s ridiculous. I don’t need to get married to rule, but they refuse to see that.”
Ruggie tilted his head, his brow furrowing slightly. “So, what? You picked me just to get them off your back?”
“Exactly.” You smiled, but it was more cunning than genuine. “They’re too stuck in their ways to listen to reason, so I decided to make them regret forcing me into this. That’s where you come in.”
His ears twitched in curiosity, though the grin on his face was as sharp as ever. “And what exactly do I get out of this?”
You took a step closer, lowering your voice to ensure no one overheard. “I need you to play along with this marriage for a year. Just a year. By that time, I’ll have stabilized the kingdom, taken the throne officially, and you’ll be free to leave. No strings attached.”
Ruggie’s eyes narrowed as he considered your words. “And what do I get in return?”
“The wealth you’ll get out of this will set you up for life. I’m talking more money than you’ll know what to do with. You’ll never have to worry about another odd job or scrape together food again. After this year, you can go back to the Sunset Savanna, and you’ll have enough to take care of yourself, your community, your grandmother—whoever. You’ll never have to work again.”
Ruggie raised a brow, a flicker of interest in his eyes. He was a practical guy, after all, and if there was one thing that motivated him, it was a good deal. “And all I have to do is pretend to be your royal husband for a year?”
“Yep,” you confirmed with a nod, crossing your arms. “Think of it as the best con of your life. We’ll fake the marriage, play the part for a year, and then when it’s over, you’re free to go with a fortune in your pocket.”
For a moment, Ruggie was silent, his sharp gaze studying you, likely weighing the pros and cons of this insane proposal. “So, you’re basically hiring me to be your fake spouse.”
“Exactly.”
A slow grin spread across his face. “You know, this is probably one of the most ridiculous offers I’ve ever gotten—and I’ve been offered some weird stuff before—but,” he shrugged, “money’s money. And if it means I get to live easy after this, then I’m in.”
You let out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding, relief washing over you. “So, we have a deal?”
Ruggie chuckled, extending his hand to you. “We have a deal. But don’t expect me to go easy on the royal kitchens while I’m here. I’m gonna milk this for all it’s worth.”
You smirked, shaking his hand. “I wouldn’t expect anything less.”
Ruggie’s grin turned mischievous as he added, “And don’t worry. I’ll play the part of the perfect doting husband. We’ll give ‘em a show they’ll never forget.”
With the deal struck, you both walked back into the palace, the weight of the future ahead not lost on you. A fake marriage with Ruggie Bucchi—one year, just one year, and then you’d be free. What could possibly go wrong?
Except, somewhere deep inside, you had a feeling that the real challenge wasn’t in the act itself—it was in not falling for the witty, resourceful hyena at your side.
Tumblr media
Your wedding was the most extravagant affair your kingdom had ever seen. You spared no expense, throwing the grandest celebration imaginable, just to rub it in a little more. Lavish decorations, exotic foods, and a royal procession that stretched for miles.
Ruggie, for his part, looked both delighted and completely out of place as he stood beside you during the ceremony. He leaned over at one point, whispering, “I’ve never been this well-dressed in my life. You sure we’re not overdoing it?”
You grinned, adjusting his ornate cape. “If we’re going to make them suffer, we might as well go all out.”
The priest, an elderly man with a tremble in his voice, stood before the two of you, his wrinkled hands holding the ceremonial scroll. His voice was deep, reverent, and filled with emotion—entirely too much emotion for the farce that was about to unfold.
You felt a little sorry for him, considering that he was the one who taught you the scriptures and history of your nation when you were younger, one of the only people to see you for you instead of the "heir". But you knew the next part was going to be hilarious.
“We gather here today,” the priest began, “to unite these two souls in the eternal bond of marriage.”
You dared a glance at your parents, sitting stiffly at the front row, their faces a mixture of horror and resignation. The ministers were whispering frantically among themselves, occasionally darting their eyes towards you and Ruggie as if hoping this was all a nightmare they’d soon wake up from. The absolute satisfaction you felt seeing them squirm almost made this whole ridiculous charade worth it.
But the best part? Leona. Sitting at the back, his face buried in his hands, his shoulders shaking with the effort to keep from bursting out in laughter. Every now and then, you could hear a muffled snort escape him, and you had to fight the urge to look back at him. One glance, and you’d both be done for.
“And now,” the priest continued, oblivious to the brewing chaos, “the couple will exchange their vows.”
You took a deep breath, turning to face Ruggie. His lips were pressed into a thin line, his shoulders shaking ever so slightly with suppressed laughter. His eyes met yours, and you could see the absolute glee dancing in them. This was going to be ridiculous.
You cleared your throat and began, doing your best to sound as dramatic and sincere as possible. “Ruggie Bucchi, from the moment I saw you,” you paused, a wave of barely-contained laughter bubbling up in your chest, “I knew you were the one destined for me. Your… resourcefulness, your… cunning, your ability to stretch a loaf of bread for days… it all captivated my heart.”
Ruggie’s eyes widened slightly at that, and you saw his lips twitch as he struggled not to laugh. You forged on.
“I vow to cherish every moment we spend together, whether it’s in the royal kitchen, watching you devour a feast meant for ten people, or in the court, where I know you’ll always have some… crafty solution to every problem.” You bit your lip, trying to keep a straight face as you added, “I promise to never let a day go by without admiring your thriftiness.”
You finished with a flourish, and the nuns and priests in the room were openly weeping, clutching their hearts as though your “love” had moved them to tears. It was a struggle to not just burst out laughing at the scene. The more you spoke, the more ridiculous it all felt, and you swore you could hear Leona snickering from the back, not even trying to hide it anymore.
Ruggie cleared his throat, taking his turn, his voice as smooth and exaggerated as possible. “Your Highness,” he began, his tone dripping with mock sincerity. “From the moment you dragged me into this—” he coughed, “I mean, the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew there was something special. You’re not like other royals,” he said, the smirk on his face just barely concealed. “No, you’re so… generous. So thoughtful. Offering me all the wealth I could ever dream of—”
You gave him a small nudge with your elbow, and he winked at you before continuing.
“I vow to stand by your side, no matter how absurd the situation.” His grin widened, his voice growing more theatrical with each word. “I’ll be there when the royal chefs burn your food, when the ministers drive you mad with their endless meetings, and most importantly, I’ll make sure there’s always a way out of any mess you get into—royal or otherwise.”
The priest was dabbing his eyes with a handkerchief, clearly moved beyond words by the display of "eternal love" unfolding before him. The nuns were practically clutching their rosaries, and one of the ministers was furiously scribbling notes, perhaps planning to write a memoir about this "historic" union.
But you could feel Ruggie shaking with barely-contained laughter beside you, and you knew he was struggling just as much as you were.
Leona, meanwhile, was not helping.
“Isn’t this just the most touching thing you’ve ever seen?” Leona called from the back, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he stood up and clapped once, slowly. “I mean, who could have predicted such true love would bloom in the royal court? Makes you wonder why we ever doubted them.”
You glanced at him out of the corner of your eye, and sure enough, Leona’s face was barely composed, his smirk broad as he leaned against the back wall. He mouthed, “Go on, keep it up,” as if he was daring you both to escalate the absurdity.
Ruggie, never one to miss an opportunity, took the challenge.
“And, in return for your endless affection,” Ruggie continued, placing his hand dramatically over his heart, “I swear to be the most diligent husband this kingdom has ever seen. I will work tirelessly—mostly to keep you out of trouble, but also to ensure that you never have to lift a finger. You’ll never have to worry about running out of your precious riches, or losing your crown jewels, because I’ll be there to safeguard every coin.”
He shot you a playful wink before finishing with, “And of course, I’ll always be ready to take off with you when things get a little too… boring around here.”
The priest, overcome with emotion, was full-on sobbing now, while your parents sat pale-faced, probably wondering what cosmic force they had offended to end up in this situation.
The room erupted into applause, and Leona, now clapping with a wide grin, leaned over to one of the younger nobles. “You’ll tell the archivists that the vows were this good, right? Might as well get all the details in there.”
Your parents couldn’t even muster a response. They sat rigidly, eyes flickering from you to Ruggie, to the now entirely tearful congregation. The sight of the priests and nuns weeping, utterly convinced by your "heartfelt" vows, was the icing on the cake. You could almost hear the grinding of your father’s teeth from where you stood, and your mother’s strained smile looked one twitch away from cracking.
By the time the priest finally declared your union, both you and Ruggie were barely keeping it together. The ceremony had transformed into a spectacle of ridiculous proportions, and you weren’t sure if anyone could really tell if the applause was genuine or just out of sheer disbelief.
When the final words of the ceremony were spoken and you were “officially” bound together, Ruggie turned to you with a grin so wide it could only be described as mischievous.
“Well, Your Majesty,” he whispered, loud enough for you alone to hear, “we really pulled it off. But I think I deserve a bonus after that performance.”
You stifled a laugh, giving him a light shove. “Wait until after the banquet. I’ll have them send extra desserts to your room as compensation.”
And with that, the two of you walked down the aisle, the very picture of an odd, unexpected royal match.
Leona gave you both a mock bow from the back as you passed by, still laughing silently to himself as the ministers and nobles exchanged bewildered glances.
Tumblr media
The following weeks were a blur of royal duties, much to Ruggie’s bemusement. He followed you around, trying to figure out how he ended up playing the role of a royal consort.
“So,” Ruggie said one evening as he flopped down onto the couch in your chambers, “I gotta admit, I thought this was gonna be way worse. I mean, I’m not exactly cut out for all this fancy stuff, but the food? The food is incredible.”
You chuckled, sitting beside him. “Well, it’s only for a year. Then you’ll be free, and you’ll never have to deal with this nonsense again.”
Ruggie shot you a grin. “You’re counting down the days already?”
You smirked. “Aren’t you?”
He shrugged, his grin softening. “Honestly? You’re not as bad as I thought. Could’ve ended up with someone way more annoying.”
You rolled your eyes, shoving him playfully. “Gee, thanks.”As the months went on, something strange began to happen. The more time you spent with Ruggie, the more comfortable things felt. Sure, it had started as a deal—a way to get what you wanted—but somewhere along the way, the lines began to blur.
Tumblr media
Ruggie was surprisingly good company. His sharp wit and laid-back attitude were a refreshing change from the stiff, formal interactions you were used to with the other royals. He was resourceful, quick-thinking, and even though he constantly complained about the pomp and ceremony of royal life, he never once let you down.
Then there was the way he treated you. Not as a royal, not as some prized heir—but as you. He teased you, made you laugh, and shared stories about his home and his grandma with such affection that it warmed your heart.
Speaking of his grandma, the first time you visited her, she welcomed you with open arms. She was sharp-tongued and quick-witted, much like her grandson, and the two of you hit it off immediately.
“Oh, so you’re the one who roped my boy into this fancy business?” she had said with a cackle, patting your hand. “Well, you’ve got my approval, sweetheart. Just make sure you keep him in line.”
Ruggie groaned, slumping in his chair. “Grams, please…”
As the year drew closer to its end, you found yourself dreading the day Ruggie would leave. You didn’t want him to go. You didn’t want this to end.
Tumblr media
The anniversary of your marriage was fast approaching, and your stomach twisted into knots every time you thought about it. Tomorrow, Ruggie would be free to go, just like you promised. A year of playing the perfect royal consort, and it would all be over. He’d get his freedom, you’d get the throne.
So why did the thought of him leaving make you want to scream into a pillow?
You paced your chambers like a caged animal, mentally kicking yourself. You were supposed to be a genius tactician. Yet here you were, spiraling into an emotional wreck because of one laid-back, cunning hyena.
The door creaked open, and Ruggie strolled in with his usual smirk. “You’re pacing. Never seen you this jittery before. What’s up?”
You froze mid-step, spinning to face him. Your mind was a mess of conflicting emotions. How were you supposed to say this? Should you ease him into it? Throw him off with a joke? No, definitely not the joke. He’d roast you for it.
Ruggie raised an eyebrow. “Uh, you good? You look like you’re about to have a heart attack.”
You blurted out, “I don’t want you to leave.”
Ruggie blinked. Twice. Then blinked again like he was trying to reboot. “Come again?”
“I don’t want you to leave,” you repeated, feeling your palms start to sweat. You took a breath, stepping closer to him. “Tomorrow, you’re free to go, just like we agreed. But I… I don’t want you to. Somewhere along the line, this stopped being just a deal for me. I—I love you, Ruggie.”
Ruggie just stared at you, mouth slightly open like you’d just asked him to wear a ballgown and perform ballet in the throne room. Then he blinked again. “Wait… what?”
You closed your eyes. “You heard me.”
“I think I need to hear it again because there’s no way you just said that,” he replied, rubbing the back of his neck like he was trying to get his brain working again.
You huffed, crossing your arms. “I. Love. You.”
Ruggie stood there, looking like you just grew a second head. “Hold on, you’re serious?”
You groaned, burying your face in your hands. “I’m being serious!”
Ruggie scratched his cheek, looking away as if he was still processing. “Well, damn. Didn’t expect that.” Then he met your eyes again, his usual grin faltering slightly. “You really love me?”
You nodded, feeling your heart pound. “Yes. And I can’t imagine you not being here. Not as some royal consort, but… just as you.”
Ruggie stared at you for a long moment, before he let out a quiet chuckle. “Y’know… I didn’t plan on this either. This was supposed to be a quick gig, get some cash, eat some fancy food, and bounce. But… well, you’re not like the other royals. You’re kinda fun to be around.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Kinda?”
“Okay, fine, a lotta fun. Happy?” He grinned.
You punched him lightly on the arm. “Not the point!”
He laughed, rubbing his arm dramatically. “Ow, inflicting pain already? But nah, seriously… You’re different. And I guess I didn’t realize how much I’d miss you if I actually left.”
Your heart flipped. “So… you’ll stay?”
Ruggie let out a sigh, but there was a fond smile tugging at his lips. “Yeah, I’ll stay. I mean, how can I leave behind someone who lets me sneak pastries from the royal kitchens without ratting me out?”
You rolled your eyes, exasperated but relieved. “That’s what you’re staying for?”
He laughed, pulling you into a loose, playful hug. “Nah, it’s one of the perks though.”
You rested your head against his, feeling your worries melt away. “I’ll make it worth your while.”
“Oh, you better. I’m expecting a raise and benefits.” He teased, planting a quick kiss on your cheek.
You smirked, pulling back just enough to look up at him. “Benefits? What are you, my royal accountant?”
“Hey, I gotta get something outta this deal.” He grinned wider. “And speaking of, I plan on eating you out of house and home from now on. Just a heads up, Your Majesty.”
You groaned, swatting him on the arm again. “That’s already happening, Ruggie!”
“I mean even more now. You’ve created a monster.” He laughed, pulling you closer again, his nose nuzzling into your hair. “But seriously… I didn’t think this would happen either. Us. But I’m glad it did.”
You smiled, feeling a rush of warmth. “Me too.”
As you stood there in each other’s arms, you couldn’t help but think about how far you’d come from that deal. What started as a scheme to outsmart your parents had turned into something real, something you hadn’t expected, but something you wouldn’t trade for the world.
And as Ruggie’s laughter echoed in the room, you realized that maybe, just maybe, plans falling apart wasn’t such a bad thing after all.
“Well,” Ruggie said, smirking at you. “Guess I’m stuck with you now, huh?”
You chuckled, leaning into him. “Yeah, but admit it—you love it.”
He kissed your other cheek, his voice soft but teasing. “Yeah, yeah. I guess I do.”
And with that, you knew inciting that royal scandal was the best thing you could've ever done.

hmmmm… i want to watch nosferatu and have malleus on the brain…
(tw possible yan mal? blood and death, not reader tho)
Tumblr media
Vampire Malleus that sees you trembling through the ruins outside his territory. A shaky hand holding onto a heavy flashlight and the other wrapped tightly around your midriff. A pathetic form of protection, he muses.
Mortals tend to steer clear from his area. He wasn’t even sure when was the last time he saw one. Surely by your indecent way of dress, it's been quite a long time. Ah, how time flies when you're a creature of the night.
Vampire Malleus that follows you throughout the night. Always stepping out of sight everytime you squeak and flash your light in his direction. He could see the tiny tears pricking at your glossy eyes. Throughout his years, he’s seen fear plastered across the face of many and yet, something about yours has his dead heart thrumming in his cold chest. Maybe it’s your eyes, big and shaky, or your trembling lips that squeaks like a little mouse. Or perhaps, it's because you're just so pathetically human that it lights up his curiosity.
Faintly he could hear the sounds of other humans approaching the area. And suddenly, your fear has disappeared into relief. And Malleus’ serene smile twitches. His fun is over and soon you’ll disappear beyond his reach. It can’t be helped, Malleus sighs. For as fleeting as you were, you sure were entertaining.
And yet as your voice met your friends and you turned to face them, your foot slipped and you came tumbling down. Yelping as jagged rock embedded itself into your palms and exposed knees. You hissed in pain as you examined the blood that began to leak out your poor cuts, dripping and collecting into a puddle down below.
And just like that the smell of your blood has awoken the beast.
The moment your friends made it up the hill they fell down wordlessly. It didn’t even click in your brain what had happened. Eyes couldn’t even follow the large black blurr that seemingly flew down from the sky and picked off your friends one by one. Leaving them not a second for them to scream, not a second for them to feel an ounce of fear.
Shakely you called out for them. No response came, just the sway of the wind. Fear mounted you to your spot. You couldn’t see anything, couldn’t hear anything and the smell of blood, thick and metallic clung to your nose.
And that smell only became more apparent as a pair of sharp slender pale hands reached for you from the darkness. Twisting your head from the lifeless bodies of your friends to the glowing red eyes of a beast. Domineering, lustful. The beast gazed down at you with such ferocity, you were sure you were about to pass. Those hands, stained with the blood of your friends, trailed down to your bloodied hand and lifted it up to its mouth.
A forked tongue slithered from its mouth and slid across your open wound. And just like that, its eyes rolled back and closed, and it visibly shivered. Disgust thick with fear coated your throat at its reaction and your body fought to move. And yet, it’s hold on your wrist turned harsh, knife-like nails digging into the delicate skin of your wrist and you stilled.
Its eyes opened into narrowed slits. Lips parting into a pleased smirk, allowing you to see its long, sharp teeth. And with a voice, deep and smooth and seemingly human, it purred.
“What an interesting find…”

edit: so this was meant to be posted like a long time ago hence my og author note, but better late the. never ig. but my point still stands that skully is a little cutie patootie <3

Tumblr media
ignihyde <3
⋆ He can’t help it! But the first thing that escape Idia's mouth is ‘Is this poison?’ He can't help it! He’s just a little awkward and has low self-esteem! Idia can’t phantom the idea that anyone, especially you, would take time out of their day to make and bring little, ugly him, food. (his words not mine) It’s literally a ten minute conversation where you have to explain to him that you wanted to this because you care about his skinny ass. And after he gets that through his thick ass head and into his big ass brain, does he explode into hot, hot red. Despite being a literal genius, Idia’s social department (self-esteem? self-love?) is severely understaffed. I don’t think Idia’s all that picky when it comes to food, he’s just not used to eating food out of his comfort zone. But batting your pretty eyes and asking ‘pretty please?’ is enough to get him to bend over.
⋆ If he could eat, Ortho would adore your food! (real talk, i can’t remember if Ortho could canonically eat through like idk a food cavity space thing or if i had just read that from a fic) Would ask for all types of things. But since he can’t, Ortho enjoys your food through Idia. He’s really happy that someone would take the time out of their day just for his big brother. By his data, doesn’t that mean you like his big bro? In all sorts of media, romantic partners make each other food to show their love! If Idia wasn’t such a danger magnetic in the kitchen, Ortho would force Idia to make you food too! So you’ll just have to settle with Ortho as your little helper instead. (he’s so excited to spend one on one time with his future in-law! teehee)
Diasomnia <3
⋆ My, make him food? How courageous you are, little human. Malleus gobbles your food down like it's his last supper. Food created by his child of man? How could he possibly let it go to waste! Compliments you to the moon and back. Though because it is Malleus, he does slip a few critiques. (he can’t help it! He’s a prince afterall) Malleus has never had an edible homemade dish full of love given to him, like ever. (sorry lilia, your food is full of love, just not edible) A warm feeling blossoms all across his body like blooming roses. If his tail was out, it would be swaying to the beat of his racing heart. Malleus didn’t think it was possible to fall deeper in love with you, but here you go, always surprising him. Perhaps, you’ll find a meal on your desk one day by the initials M.D.
⋆ Ohohoho? So you want to challenge a culinary master! Lilia will not be beaten by such a cute little human! You better start running tehehehehe- On another less scary note, Lilia enjoys your food immensely! Of course he could think of a few ways to make it much more protein packed and nutritious but that’s just his inner master chef coming out teehee. Beware, he insists that you must try his cooking, it’s only fair of him to treat you to a meal. Or even worse, insist that you too must cook together. Pray to the seven (or hope that Silver will be conscious enough to drag his father outta there) because you’re going to need it.
⋆ Wonderful… is the only word Silver is able to get out before he falls asleep. When he wakes, Silver is awfully embarrassed. Silver is blown away at your kindness. His face a perment baby pink the rest of the day. You thought of him and no one else. Surely this must mean something right? Still, Silver must do something for you too. It’s only fair. (what a sweet gentleman) he considers making you a treat as well, but considers otherwise. It might be unwise to be in the kitchen with his condition. But of course, it’s not like Silver won’t have any help! All the woodland creatures are more than happy to help Silver win over his crush’s heart! The next day you’ll have his treat flown to you by a couple of blue birds, chipmunks and rabbits gathering at your door with berries of all sorts. Silver thankful for such generous companions. If he had to face you, he might just fall into a coma.
⋆ He can’t help it when he says, “Are you trying to poison me?!’ and ‘Don’t you dare poison my Waka-Sama! I will fight you, human!” Sebek’s like a dog, barking and barking, until he smells the delicious scent of your food and suddenly, he’s stubbornly eating it at the table. Cursing himself for being so weak to delicious food (and your pretty smile) Oh how could he properly serve his Waka-sama if he’s weakened by such things?! THE CRUELTY! He does really enjoy your food. Typically he’s often left unsatisfied, his stomach growling with lingering hunger after his meals. But for some odd reason, every time he’s chowing down on your food, he’s satisfied. His stomach is silent but his chest is warm and fuzzy like dandelions. Are you sure you don’t have any magic? Sebek decides to keep his curiosity to himself. Just like the rest of diasomnia, you’ll find yourself faced with a box filled to the brim with food courtesy of the blushing, stuttering fae in front of you.
Extra <3
⋆ Very rarely does Rollo find time to sit down and eat. Between his studies, his duties as student president and world domination (kidding), he is much too busy to have anything more than a piece of bread and glass of water. You’ll have to drag him to sit his ass down to eat and even then he’ll be scolding you for messing up his schedule. But when the warm and homey scent of your food reaches his nose, his voice falls and mind clears. And all of a sudden, he’s very much aware of the ache in his bones, the growling of his stomach and the tight ringing of his head. Rollo listens to you tell him you made this just for him, heaviness hits his chest at the concern lacing your voice. Any other time he’d scoff and leave, but this is you. His friend. He doesn’t hesitate. The moment your food touches his tongue he’s done for. Perhaps the hassle of life is worth it.

URGENT HELP🚨🚨🚨🍉🇵🇸
Hello,
How do you do ? I hop to be in a good condition.
This is my special campaign
We hope to help us by donating or sharing to others.
Every donation makes a different even if it a small.
As you know, the war began on October 7 and lasted ten months. During this period, we were unable to obtain food, drink, or treatment because we did not have money.
There is no source of income for the family at the present time, so we are unable to buy food, clean water, and medicine, especially after we are afflicted with the ongoing infectious diseases spread in the north like Hepatitis C disease.
Our house has been damaged a lot since the beginning of the war. We are from the north of Gaza and we are still in the north and have not displaced to the south. We displaced 10 times from place to another seeking to safety .
We hope for your help and support, even if only a little.🙏🙏

Hi 👋, My name is Mohammad, and I’m reaching out in a moment of desperate need. I’m a father of three young children living in Gaza, and we are caught in the midst of a catastrophic war. Our home is no longer a safe haven, and the future here seems increasingly uncertain. 💔
I’ve launched a fundraising campaign with the goal of raising $40,000 to relocate my family to a safer place where my children can grow up in peace and have a chance at a brighter future.
Unfortunately, my previous fundraising efforts were abruptly halted when my account was terminated without explanation. However, I remain determined to keep fighting for my family’s safety and well-being. 🫶
If you could take a moment to read our story, consider donating, or simply share our campaign with others, it would make an incredible difference. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to safety and a new beginning. 🙏
Thank you for your time, compassion, and support. ❤️‍🩹
