So this is a series, but the first fic (salespeople know (listening is the most important part), which is what is linked), is the main fic with the others being one shots.

I just love this idea, any kind of Magic!Tim is always gonna be one of my favs, but one thing I love about this fic in particular is how it starts towards the end of Tim's arc. There still plot and flashbacks, but you being with Tim as a mature young adult who is generally happy with where he is, and then you get to find out all the ways he got there.

I also really love the whole setting, the Traveler's Corner shop is just a lovely idea, the whole thing is great

Dan has managed to escape with Danny and Dani from getting caputred with the help of a version of his mother. Now they just need to hide until all four of them are strong enough survive. The only safe place for them seems to be in Crime Alley.

This is really clever, it's Dan-centric, with a great relationship between him and Jason, both trying to help the other heal but not shareing a thing about thier similarities.

It's Jason/Dan's Mom (she gets a name but it's slightly spolier-y) and thier relationship is a slowburn and really well built up. It's not quite a fully romantic relationship but also not platonic and I love how varied and perfectly suited it is to the both of them.

Dan is a menice as he deserves to be, taking over Gotham just like Jason *wipes tear*, also Jason deserves to have to care for a gremlin, so it all works out!

Sympathetic!Batfam, though they do take time to work out thier issues and talk.

Great writing, there's a lot of internal monologue, and they write the mindset of the different characters really well.

I Love TimBer, and I Love Dionysus!Bernard even more- this fic is everything <3

We need more Dionysus!Bernard in general, let the boy be possessed by a chaos deity- for the vibes

In all seriousness, this fic does really well with showcasing the rise and falling of possession for Bernard, and the influences of Dionysus. He is also written very well as a chaos god- unpredictable and powerful, very archaic greek- I approve as a hardcore classics student.

Tim and Bernard's relationship is also wonderful, incredibly fluffy. Late relationship and adorable. There's not too much of Conspiracy Theorist!Bernard, in favour of a facet that mixes better as a vessel for Dionysus, but it doesn't feel OOC.

Years of being bullied for his smarts left him dreading when people figured out he was a genius. What better way to throw them off then by acting stupid? Enter: Dumb Blond Spencer Reid.

I have a bit of a confession: I've never watched criminal minds. I've read fics for shows I haven't watched before, and it's fine- but it does mean I have no clue exactly how differently the characters are portrayed. However it's an AU so it doesn't matter.

This fic is hilarious, and so so sad. Like it's a joy to read whenever Spencer is not thinking, and then you just want to hold your hand to your heart. It's so well written that I feeling real pity for Spencer.

The plot is very fun and the arc is great. The BAU basically adopts Spencer, taking none of his input into account. Force Finding the Family

One of my favourite parts of the fic, that I come back to reread over and over, is the outtakes at the end. After the main plot is over, the last chapter has 7 scenes that are after plot and alternate scenes that are just very short and fun oneshots within the world of the fic.

Midoriya and Shigaraki get hit with a Quirk that basically locks the both of them in an indestructible box and makes them unable to physically harm each other. The only way for them to get out? They have to reconcile their differences.

I love villain hurt/comfort in general, and this fic does it really well.

Throughout the fic you slowly see more of Shigaraki, and feel more pity for him at the same time Midoriya does. The slow reveal of his double think and past traumas is incredibly well paced. Same with Midoriya's slow distrust of the heroes, it all builds so well on each other.

There are some heavy tags, make sure to read fully before starting the fic. Some include "Self-harm", "Suicidal Ideation", "PTSD", and more.

Grey Morality is just really fun to explore, guys :)

I would say exams kicked my ass and that's why I didn't post for basically the entirety of April- and they did....

Elias and Peter are divorcing again. In trying to decide the division of their marital property, they need some witnesses to assist their respective cases. This is unfortunate for Jon and Martin, who would really rather be elsewhere.

This might be the best LonelyEyes fic, the personalities of the characters is really captured in the funny fic, it follows cannon kind-of, but it's not he focus of the fic.

Jmart for the soul as well, it's very cute and fluffy, a side point to the fic but lovely nonetheless.

The fic is from the perspective of a Judge OC that oversees the divorce, and she's an amazing everyman seeing TMA from the outside, it's really funny to see the outside perspective of it all.

Wayne Technologies does not accept college interns. Annabeth always has a plan B.

Amazing fic, Annabeth deserves to devour the corporate world whole, as a treat.

I really like this crossover, cuz it's set entirely in the regular world, demigods and heroes are only tangential to the plot. it all flows really well together, no need to mix fiction systems.

I love Annabeth as a character, she is so well written and terrifying here. It's really well done, such that she is very intelligent, but the reader can follow all her plans by the end of the fic.

The main plot is in the first story (Annabeth and the Nine Step Career Plan), but honestly I like the second (A Detective's Interlude) more, because it is hilarious to read Tim and Bruce trying to keep up with Annabeth.

Okay, this is the team red fic, I'm pretty sure that a lot of the team red fic convention start here, but I'm not certain.

It's a series of mostly connected fics, mostly oneshots.

There's not much of a greater plot, but a lot of the fics center around the psychological issues that Deadpool and Daredevil have-- it's still funny and light hearted but deals with the heaver points really well. There's a great balence between fluff and angst.

There's also lots of avengers meet ups, mostly a small rivalry between the vigilantes and the heroes.

This is also the home of many of my favourite subplots and gags,

i.e. The Ball, Logan the vigilante dad, and a lot of others

so, if I'm consistently inconsistent, does that make me consistent again?

Hawks appears at the Quirk Trafficking Relief Groups annual televised fundraiser, when the event is taking over by a villain with a truth Quirk things about his past are revealed.

Great fic, it's really good at setting a scene and establishing the story from the moment you start reading.

Love how Hawks is written, kind of an in-between of following and hating the HPSC.

The last half is amazing, a mix of personal moments from Hawks and social media and other pov's. It's all flows really well together,

It's really impressive how they can set up the whole world and interpersonal relationships in only 10,000 words!

So, this is a series- but most the works are one chapter and they are all in the same story, so I'm calling it one fic.

Also, everyone watch the show, it's weird and I'd call it the video version of psychedelic art: bright colours in patterns that don't make much sense at first, mixed with hyper realism that in the end make a cohesive and beautiful picture. It's just an amazing show.

This is set after season 2 of the tv show, but doesn't really reference the plot much except in off-handed remarks. It's very slice of life

The main pairing is Todd/Dirk, but there is also some Farah/Amanda for the soul, it's co-dependant friends to lovers, all teen rated with no smut.

It's sweet, funny, and both Todd and Dirk are written very well in terms of how they reluctantly stumble into a relationship.

It's a great comfort fic, even the more plot-heavy second work isn't that angst

But this fic is so good it deserves it's own post. I recommended it to a friend, but it has such a choke hold on me that I immediately started rereading it during class.

This entire fic is mostly Wash & Epsilon in situations and great chorus worldbuilding as space-Australia.

Wash and Epsilon never actually talked in cannon and it's a travesty- but that's what fanfic is for lol

This one is amazing in dealing with the pitfalls in wash and epsilon working together, and the reservations each has, and pushing past them.

The way it is formatted with all the memory-fragments being in their own colours, work really well and are unobtrusive to the fic, like it sometimes tend to be.

BAMF! Wash is in my heart, always.

Also Felix is a smaller character here, but he's so well written as just so done with everything lol

If I had to say which fanfic is my favourite, I probably say this one after 10 minutes of panicking

What begins as a small squabble between Matt and Wade devolves into Peter being caught in a full blown war between his friends and Gotham vigilantes alike. How was he supposed to know that the bar that the saviours of the world would stoop to just to get "Best Ass" would be rock bottom in hell?

This might be the best thing to come out of any dc/marvel crossover.

it has Team Red and lighthearted vigilantes, truly the holy grail of fics.

This whole premise is already hilarious, but the writing takes it up a notch with relatable and funny dialogue and Peter's whole internal monologue is a mix of a Mood(tm) and the most chaotic teenage antics.

I've been asked to go into what the project was. I'm not gonna put out the whole paper, but I'll summarize (for a given definition of 'summary' lol- your first mistake was asking me to talk about fanfic analysis).

The point was to try to find meaning in Type-Token Ratios (TTRs), the ratio of unique words to the total word count.

I've been interested in how au's take a life of their own in fandom. It's started for me when reading Through the Sky-Blue Cracks by Amethystfairy1, and then finding other fics that were unrelated to this one, but had a lot of the same plot points (i.e. an 'under-city' and an 'over-city' with a difference between 'hybrids/mutants' and 'humans')

There are a lot of large au fics that start a small fandom, with other people writing fanfics with the same plot/in the same type of world created in the fic, a sub-fandom within a fandom.

A better example would be marauders fics taking their cues from All the Young Dudes by MsKingBean89, rather than Harry Potter

I made my project finding a few of these types of fics (I decided which fics were important to a sub-fandom by whether they had a discord dedicated to the fic, not the fandom at large) and then my idea was that the fics that are part of larger fandoms would have a larger TTR, because the size of the fandom means that there are statically a larger amount of experienced authors, and so there are more better fics to get popular.

i.e. All the young dudes would have more unique words, since it's part of a large fandom and has to fight more fics to get popular, than Through the Sky-Blue Cracks which is from the 3rd Life SMP

Note: this is not a judgement on quality, the amount of fancy words used has no bearing on the quality of writing. Through the Sky-Blue Cracks is one of my favourite fics. I was very very wrong.

In fact, the data I got was pretty much exactly the opposite of what I had thought, the fics from smaller fandoms had higher TTRs than those from larger fandoms, to an almost direct correlation between the numbers.

I'm pretty sure what happened, is that the TTR is not related at all the size of fandom.

Coincidentally, most of the fics from the smaller fandoms were more divergent au's from the cannon, and the ones from the larger fandoms were more close to the original cannon. The more divergent ones are going to have to do more work describing new scenes and characters that the ones more close to cannon don't have to do because the reader already knows what it/they look like.

But that's also just a hypothesis and I'd need to do a lot more work to prove that
