Hey followers I need your help so badly. My job cut my hours and despite me busting my ass for my company, no raises are on the horizon either. FAQ

What is Shading Negative Space?

SNS is a series that Sophia Wolfe created back in 2014, and has since put together a team to get production going. It is an animated musical series geared towards teens and adults. We hope that it will become an animated series that we will (hopefully!) pitch to a network. If no network picks it up, it will become a web series.

What’s a web series? The same as a show, but it will be online instead of television.

What is SNS about? After losing her memory, Flower must use her skill of drawing to remember the stories of her strange past. She learns what her actions have done to contribute to the present, and how she can change the outcome of the future. This anti-war series follows the desire of finding oneself using magic, talking animals, and musical outbursts, all tied up with raunchy humor and 90s aesthetic. Sick.

Where can I watch it? At the moment, we are working on the overall plot and pilot episode. We will keep you updated with where the pilot is at, but it won’t be for some time. It will be posted most likely to a Youtube channel that we will make in the future. We will link it to all of our social media as well.

Is there a way I can help? There’s several, actually! The easiest way is to share SNS with your followers and friends. The more supporters we have, the more likely a network will pick it up. We also love fan art, which encourages us to continue and gives us ideas for the show! The last way you can participate is, if you’re interested, to become a part of our team. We have a Music Department, and Art Department, and Production team and always love new talent. This is exclusive to those who we feel will fit best with the production of the show.

Do you need voice actors?

Periodically we have had auditions in the past. We will soon be having another since the updated pilot episode has different characters than what we had written in the first draft of the script. If we end up making more than one episode, then there will be several auditions in the future. We will let you know when we are looking for actors, so keep a lookout!

Is there a place I can read the plot? We don’t want to publicize too much. As of now, the synopsis (written above in “what is SNS about?”) is the only true source of information about the show. With time, we will post more.

Do you have a Patreon, or some way I can help fund the show? As of now, no. If we feel that we have enough supporters to create a Patreon, we will!

The SNS team is mainly composed of people that have reached out to us wanting to help. We are currently looking for artists skilled with character design, background design, storyboarding, concept art, screenwriting and/or animation. If you have one of these skills (or something else you think you could contribute!) feel free to send over a private message for more information and to send what you have to offer. Not everyone will be selected.
