there is something in the way you make toji jealous that unleashes the ever-pooling desire he has for you.
wearing that red silk dress that he bought for you on your birthday, pulling him in with the curl of your lips, but never allowing him to venture close. you sidestep away from his touch whenever he tries to hook his arm around your waist, your lips pursed like toji isn’t worth your minute.
toji's glower grows and his frown deepens but he gets it.
he knows this game. he knows that you're just trying to set his veins ablaze because oh how you love it when his lips are pulled back in a snarl and his hips are punching in their thrust and his hands find their purchase around your neck. oh how you love his growled words pressed on the rise of your breasts, promises of filth rippling along your damp skin, before full lips circle around your hardened nipple. oh how you love it when toji is ruthless with his love — animalistic and jagged and overarching.
toji knows how this game goes so he slinks back into the shadows and watches you. he watches the way you hover around this boy — because what else could he be if not a boy whose lips twitch in their attempt to keep your attention, his fingers fiddling with the loose dress shirt hanging off of him, all because he could not handle your magnificence — and titter at his jokes, your eyelashes batting purposefully delicate, enticing him in a way that no other could. your hair frames your face devilishly: the cut of your jaw is sharp, your cheekbones are defined, and your eyes are half-lidded.
toji is feet away from you but even his throat goes parched. he can’t blame the kid for swooning even if toji wants nothing more but to pull you away from those coveting eyes.
——————————————————
toji’s smile is cruel as he taps the head of his cock on your twitching cunt. you whimper a choked moan, your eyes fluttering shut as the tears continue to spill. your lashes are sticking together and you are sure your “waterproof” eyeliner is all but retained, but fuck.
fuck.
your chest heaves as you gaze back into toji’s eyes, sharp hues of green looking at you with such reverence like you’re so precious even when utterly debauched. like toji loves you like this: heady and desperate and mewling. and he does. you know he does. but there is something so good at the reminder of how your presence pushes toji past his built walls, ushering his scarred palms to feel you.
he is so beautiful like this: impatient and hungry for you.
(toji has always been beautiful but in way that was not apparent in your exes — satoru with his twinkling eyes that crinkle every time he laughs; kento with his quiet drawl as he whispers your name; mei with her sloping curves and her pianist fingers ghosting their touch along your spine. no. toji is not delicate like them; even in his softness, toji has always been different and stark against your history of picnic dates and lavender kisses.
because toji, with his maps of scars and speckles of grey hair peppering the sea of black and crooked grin and aged hands and deep baritone, was not fortunate enough to afford to grow in his gentleness. he had to learn it himself — crafting fragility from his weaponry of agony and anger, all for you. all because of you. because he saw you and realized he loved you and promised, then, that he would bear kindness from his ruined hands.)
“hey,” toji’s voice is gruff as he calls out to you, pulling you from your swimming thoughts. “y’still there, baby?”
you blink back at him, glossed eyes focusing on his face.
oh how cruel of you to think about other people when toji, the man whom you love with all that you are, has you pinned down on his bed, mounting you with his bigger body. fuck, the reminder of how easy it was for toji to press your legs parallel to your chest has you breathing heavily, your pussy clenching at nothing. a quiet huff escapes your kiss-swollen lips, your eyes almost going crossed when toji slides his cock along your soaked folds again.
“yes,” you finally hum. “please, fuck me.” your empty hands slide down his chest, running your fingertips past his nipples and down to where he has a fist around his heavy and thick and full cock. your tongue juts out to swipe at your lips, feeling utterly hungry all of a sudden.
“impatient,” toji tuts. “after almost dozing on me an’ everything.”
your cheeks burn, your lips pouting. you murmur unintelligibly, not really refuting his words but not admitting to them either.
“shh,” toji whispers at seeing you flustered. he cups your cheeks, sliding his thumb just below your eyes. “was just joking, sweetheart.”
your lips part open for a response, one that dashes from the tip of your tongue at the feeling of toji’s cock slowly pushing in your pussy. you keen, your back arching off the bed.
god, you feel so full. and even then, with your quiet whimpers and curling toes, toji’s still not all the way in. your eyes flutter at every steady slide, panting at the feeling of being so stretched out. you don’t even hear yourself keening, so focused in the way toji’s cock breaches your walls like this is the first time all over again.
toji’s so gentle even when you can hear his heaving breaths, his fingers — the free hand that he has that’s holding onto your hip — dimpling your skin where the thin line of sweat builds up because of the heat simmering from toji’s palm. you peer up at him through clumped lashes, gasping quietly at the look you see on his face.
toji’s brows curl the way you know he’s barely suppressing himself from punching in his thrusts. his lips — scarred and plump and beautiful — are pulled in a snarl, and you shiver at the intensity of his eyes when he pulls them up from where you two are connected to meet your own.
he growls, the sound so animalistic it reverberates within the space between you two, sending goosebumps rising across the expanse of your skin.
“shit, baby,” toji groans, full-stopping and bracing himself with his hands on either side of your head. a sort of giddy and disbelief fills the bubble in your stomach — toji isn’t even fully in yet. “you’re so good, might just cum like this.”
he shallowly pulls out, you moan, your tears building up again, before he’s thrusting back in and breaching further in you. “just gon’ feel your cunt warm my cock like this, have you looking like the doll you are, an’ i’ll be gone.”
he sweeps your damp hair away from your face.
“you heard what i said, baby?” toji asks like you weren’t hanging onto his every word like they are gospel, pulling his cock back out, the slide is torturously slow, and only stopping when all that’s left in you is the head of his weeping cock. “you could milk me dry with just a bat of your eyes.”
you giggle, punching his chest playfully. “shut up and fuck me already!” you whine. toji winks at you in response and you roll your eyes with a fond smile, your bottom lip trapped between your teeth.
“mm, whatever my princess wants.” then toji thrusts all the way in.
you wail, feeling his cock hit something nestled deep in you, but you couldn’t even think for a second and figure out what it was because toji’s pulling out, not letting you get used to the full stretch of his cock, and fucking into you just as fast, his pelvis grinding against yours.
toji doesn’t stop, his hips unrelenting as they piston fast and hard and deep. you squeal, your fingers digging into the duvet, fisting them tightly as dizzying pleasure overwhelms you. toji’s head bows, the muscles of his back rippling as he does so, and bites on the juncture between your neck and shoulder.
“toji!” you cry, voice almost breaking into a sob, at the sharp pain on your neck mingling with the overdrive of pleasure erupting across your veins.
toji hums, his voice muffled in your skin. when he pulls back, he folds himself before you, pressing his weight on the back of your thighs.
“god, baby,” toji groans. “so wet around me.” he humps his hips forward as he says this, as though urging you to feel the sloppy mess running down the sides of your thighs. you choke, your eyes rolling back. toji does it again, his face finding its spot on the crook of your neck as he fucks you, his hips rolling every time he’s pressed close, and you hiccup at every new angle he hits.
there’s a weight inside you every time toji fucks in. it feels foreign but not unwanted; overwhelming and sensitive. when toji bucks in, you realize what it is that he’s hitting.
you squeal, crying as you scream, almost like the knowledge alone of toji pressing his cock in your deepest part brought about a new feeling of pleasure.
toji laughs, his voice ripping through your echoes of shaky sobs. “you feel it, baby?” he lifts his face to meet your eyes. “oh, yeah you do.” his voice crinkles like he is amused.
“deep!” you cry, trembling, your mind unable to string any more coherent sentences.
toji hums. “feel me kissing your cervix? if i press in like this,” he pauses to press his pelvis flushed close to yours, his eyes furrowing and his grin growing sharp when he feels you squeeze around him, your tight walls spasming around the thick curve of his cock. you let out a long hiss, your eyes fluttering at the feeling of being utterly stuffed.
“see, sweetheart?” toji continues, his voice low and guttural. “your womb is practically opening up for my cock.” you hiccup at his words, your cheeks warming up at the slur of his voice. the imagery makes your moans wobble, and toji laughs when he feels your pussy twitch around him again.
“oh darling,” he croons. “you love it when i talk to you about your hungry cunt? wanna hear the way it’s clinging so greedily around my cock? oh, yeah you do. you love being reminded how desperate of a slut you turn to.”
you sob, your voice breaking into breathy ah-ah-ahs. toji shakes his head, fully endeared even when you are splayed out before him — your skin glistening with sweat; your hair sticking to your forehead; your pussy stretched and wet and dripping as it clings around toji’s thick cock.
toji hums, delighted, before straightening back again. his cock slides out, its head leaving the depths of your walls — your cervix, you are reminded when toji rocks back in again as if testing how deep he’s claimed you — and you watch, even with muddled mind and blurry eyes, as toji holds onto the meat of your thighs.
it all happens so quickly. you saw toji’s mirage, a god-incarnate before you, and the next thing you know, he’s fucking you hard and fast, his mind focused on nothing but making you cum. you can hear yourself screaming, your throat burning alongside the pleasure erupting from your pussy. your blunt fingernails are digging into toji’s shoulders, and it is all you can do to reel yourself in from the numbing pleasure as toji pistons his hips, his pace picking up, going faster, faster, faster–!
“shit, baby!” he crows as the first spray of your squirt hits his pelvis. “yes!” toji hisses. “c’mon, sweetheart, keep squirtin’ on me.”
your eyes roll back and your ears are ringing, but you do just as he said: you squirt with every push of his cock, the rivulets between your thighs dripping to stain the sheets.
it takes toji four unrelenting thrusts before his hard pistoning peters into pathetic humps, his own orgasm building rapidly. “‘m gon’ breed this pussy,” toji murmurs, so pussy-drunk that his words turn into accented slurs. “‘m gon’ fill you up. you want that, baby? wanna be filled up?”
“yes, please!” you scream, nodding, your hand reaching down to rub at your hardened clit. “fill me, toji! fill me, please!”
“of course, sweet thing,” toji growls, pushing his cock all the way in, before you feel the sprays of hot cum shooting into your sensitive walls.
a choked moan escapes your throat before you are cumming agin, your soaked cunt squeezing toji’s one last time — “fuck, darling,” he moans, his voice curling into a hiss — then your eyes finally shut close.
——————————————————
you wake up to your head tucked into the crook of toji’s neck, your silk pajamas crinkling as you move about the bed. throbbing pain echoes mutely from your spine, and your exhausted mind reels back at the onslaught of memories.
oh. oh fuck.
you can’t believe you passed out. while toji’s balls deep in you, too.
you choke, embarrassment rushing across your veins.
a muffled squawk is ripped from your throat, tentatively distracting you from your thoughts, when toji’s arms tug you further into his embrace like you’re not already pressed flush to him. you study his face, watching as his brows begin to crinkle like he’s about to wake up.
before you can effectively escape from the rousing toji, his voice rumbles from where his lips are pressed on the crown of your head.
“g’mornin’,” he whispers.
you cringe, realizing that you have to face the embarrassment of passing out on toji while he’s literally breeding you. you cough, awkwardly, and greet, “good morning,” your voice quiet and broken. oh wow.
toji whistles, pulling back just enough to eye you. “you sound ruined,” he states.
you smack his exposed — hickey and bite mark-littered — chest. “whose fault is it?” you hiss at him.
toji grins. “mine.” he says it so cheekily and with so much pride, his scarred lips stretching to show off sharp canines.
you smack him again, futilely ignoring the explosion of warmth in your cheeks and the growing embarrassment curling at your stomach.
“ow! baby, ow!” toji cries, rolling away to avoid your soft punches. you follow him with difficulty, your body still aching, but you are determined to smack toji until your shame abates.
you fail, anyways, when toji drapes himself across you like an overgrown and clingy cat, trapping you between him and the soft bed.
ugh, why’s he literally so cute.

In cult SAGAU the creator is always revered as this kind caring god/goddess who can do no wrong and always has the best interest of Teyvat on their mind. (except for the some but they usually still have a few they care for)
What if, hear me out, the relationship is more similar to Ruan Mei and her creations from hsr. I mean it fits the setting, the people and creatures of Teyvat longs for their creator's warmth and they're just like "Huh, interesting *ignores them more*."
They built all these grand palaces and places of worship only for you to just gaze at them a bit and leave. It must leave them infuriated how they're doing all of these for you and you're just not even going to care.
Of course they'll all cope differently, some would lament, some would hate you, and some would do whatever they can to earn your attention and when those things eventually no longer earn your attention they'll go to more drastic things just to get even a slimmer of attention they crave.

I'm convinced that the translators saw the backlash on the different scans and tried to modify the dialogue to make chapter 430 sound better than it is. It doesn't change the fact that even though villainy has fallen and there's more time for heroes to relax. That none of 1A decided that Izuku was worth their time. I can't stand the copers right now; they are just making excuses for Hori right now.
Plus, Ochako and Tenya had their own team dedicated to quirk counseling and she didn't think to invite her best friend Izuku someone known for being intelligent and obsessed with quirks. Izuku really has some scummy friends. No wonder the cucking memes are going wild right now. Ochako and others just seem like junior members of the MLA for ignoring Izuku after losing OFA. The MLA is bound for a resurgence doesn't it lol.
Not to mention I still can't get over the fact that Izuku had to wait 8 years to get some stupid armor when All-Might had his special suit built in a couple of weeks to fight AFO. If the editors had some sense, Izuku would have already had the power suit before he even graduated from UA and be in the top ten hero ranks by now. But that might have made Izuku look awesome possibly outshining Mirio or Bakugo and we can't have that now, can we. but Hori really wanted to make Izuku look like a bum. Izuku needs better friends and an author.
Hi @agentterios 👋
Iam not sure if Viz manga or official translators actually did do any of that but I still do have my issues with the MHA ending overall.
My main point that confuses me is that if there are less villains then how are the heroes doing more work?!?! Are they more focused on rescuing and changing society? If that's the case then cool I don't have a problem with that but it's the fact that we don't see much of it. We are told that ochako and iida have started a quirk counselling project which like you mentioned adding Izuku to it (or having him involved in the background) because of his quirk analysis or just analytical abilities would be a great addition to them and should of been canon. Doing this would of 1) proved that izuku even though he has lost his quirk he is incredibly close and still works with his classmates and 2) would allow for one of my favourite Izuku characteristics shine.
Alps I find it very weird how the manga states that izuku and the rest of 1A don't hang out at a lot due to work but we don't even get a small panel of him texting them or him hanging out with individual members of 1A. I feel like if we got something like that it would of shown us that yes Izuku is still in contact with them but nope. I also feel like this is one of the reasons why so many people including I might of misinterpreted the thing into 1A ditching Izuku because we literally don't see them hang out or do anything outside of heroics together. Now that I think about it the whole found family bond of 1A is centered around them being heroes and in heroics so that's all they have and it's not a good look.
First I hate the idea of izuku losing his quirk (I have seen different interpretations but I still think it sucks) and two i find it incredibly unrealistic how izuku (a boy who did anything to become a hero) simply not do anything for 8 years. That's not the Izuku I know at all. The Izuku I know would do anything to help others and even try and be useful or a hero but this one just sits back accepting defeat and that his dream is over?!?! The boy who said his body moved on it's own to help others simply gives up and doesn't do anything until he is given a suit?!?!?!
There's also the fact that I don't like the whole suit thing. Maybe I would of liked it if izuku worked with Melissa and mei to make it himself. Something about izuku making it and earning it and learning and adapting to reach his goal is much more satisfying and adds more to his character than him being given a suit and becoming a hero. Izuku working in the background helping heroes whether that be with projects or strategies and analysis also should of been something he should of done during the eight years.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, I have been avoiding Izuku related content from twitter and tiktok like the plague so no I haven't had the misfortune in seeing another gag that the fandom makes about izukus pain without them acknowledging how the manga events effect his character

the medicore compared to the geniuses
so i'm writing a lot of hsr fic right now, and i noticed something really interesting about the genius society and dr. ratio, who are characterized pretty similarly.
they're both treated as this very cold, very distant kind of thing that a lot of people don't understand, and in a lot of ways, that makes sense! ratio's teaching methods don't make sense (logically or in a meta way), and the genius society is so separate from ordinary people. even with someone like asta, who works with herta, there's a degree of separation in her voicelines.
the really interesting difference to me relates to their paths!
1. play style
herta and ruan mei, the two playable genius society members, follow the erudition and the harmony, and both of them specialize on aoe attack/support. herta does almost all of her damage on her own, aside from triggering her follow up, and ruan mei can fit into any team, since she buffs all damage and break effect, but in the end, all of her skills rely on her. they're amazing in situations where you need to look at the full picture and take on a lot of enemies at once -- like pure fiction, as an example! -- but when it comes to one on one fights?
they definitely don't do as well, coming from someone who's built them both and played them in divergent universe.
on the other hand, ratio follows the path of the hunt. his ability to hit multiple targets is non-existent, regardless of which one of his traces you use. unlike herta and ruan mei, he thrives in one on one combat, and his ability to do so relies on his teammates almost as much as it relies on his own build. while he can trigger his own follow up attacks in his skill, wiseman's folly can only be triggered by other teammates. it isn't hard to trigger it, since all you need to do is attack his target, but ratio interacts a lot more with his teammates, despite what you may think from the hunt.
2. interacting with knowledge
we also see them interact with knowledge in extremely different ways.
the genius society has a very big picture idea of how knowledge works. with both of the examples we're given, their research is just that. their research. there aren't any plans to share this knowledge or to make it widespread, or if there are, they aren't told to us.
herta will occassionally let another genius work on her simulated universe, but it's so the trailblazer -- her only test subject -- can learn more about the aeons and other beings in the universe. in the case of the swarm disaster ruan mei, though she will tell us about her projects, has little regard for the lifeforms themselves. between the cat cakes, who we are left to care for, and the propogation swarm clone in herta's basement, we are given no reason to believe she feels strongly about people.
in many ways, ratio is the exact opposite. i have few good things to say about his teaching methods, based on the information we have from his character stories, but they make all of the difference. ratio is in no way lacking in knowledge, and yet, rather than using it for his own studies, he instead uses it to share knowledge across the universe. a lot can be said about the way he goes about it, but the distinction is still very clear. ratio's overall goal is to share the information he has gained, and he's almost single-minded in this pursuit.
you can even make an arguement about divergent universe, a project ratio is implied to have influenced heavily.
while herta's original simulated universe is meant to provide her with information about the universe -- and the player is reliant on the characters and paths they have built -- ratio's divergent universe practically helps teach the player themselves. we are able to use any character, regardless of their build, and learn how they work, both as an individual and as a team. according to screwllum, ratio's project was intented to focus on 'the every day person,' and it definitely shows.
3. wrapping up
for all of their surface level similarities, ratio's core values are very different from that of the genius society members we know, and (a topic for a different time) why ratio hasn't been acknowledged by nous.
after all, how do you get accepted into a group focused on learning the big picture of the universe when you'd rather spend your time sharing information with any person you meet on the streets?

Hua Binan won't ever acknowledge that Mo Ran wouldn't have done any of this if he didn't have the flower, he is constantly blaming Mo Ran for everything because he built a narrative in his head that he never hurt any innocent people by his own hand (as Chu Wanning said, instead he had everyone else do the dirty work), if he acknowledge that Mo Ran was an innocent 15 years old boy who he hurt for decades then the whole house of card fall and I honestly think he won't really deal with that.
And I think that's my one problem with Shi Mei's redemption (2.0 Shi Mei).I say problem but I don't know if it's really a problem or an interesting feature of it actually. The difference between them is that Shi Mei recognize that he can't abide the number of deaths anymore in the way Hua Binan can but he just never takes the personal responsibility of planting the flower in Mo Ran. Mo Ran is still not his victim as far as he knows (when he question Hua Binan, he actually said that Mo Ran can change which is.. really something when the thing who caused him to be Taxian-Jun in the first place was something he planted). Like,I think he realizes that the consequences of his actions as Taxian-Jun are on them but not that Mo Ran himself was part of the people he hurt, and if you are on a redemption arc, you do need to acknowledge who you victimized ? I feel like that's a big part of it.
Some thoughts I had about it.

Can we get more peach blood au fun facts?
Oki oki :3
Is putting them in a list like this ok?
Peachblood au facts
Each city and town has different types of monsters
Mei and redson do in-fact exist, they live in a closed off city built by both redson and mei’s families along with nezha and few celestial beings.
If you took bite out of the small pink monkey “peachy”, he tastes just like peaches.
Mk was the one to kill tang and pigsy.
Macaque revived away from his grave, which is why he didn’t take the staff or even know that it was placed there.
Bai he knows how likes to make little dolls of the people she meets.
Mk can turn into a small monkey out of fear.
Macaque spent the first 40 years of being resurrected looking for wukong before giving up.
Wukong moved flower fruit mountain far away to be completely hidden away (which is why macaque couldn’t find him)
Sandy has a small hut somewhere and is somehow living his best life.
Chang’e stares from the moon wondering what the fuck is going on
Do these make sense? Im not good at sharing small or big facts so if theres soemthing you don’t understand i can try my best to explain :3

So I watched the first two episodes since they’re in English now. Live reaction:
LMK Season 5 spoilers under the cut:
Fun training session! Let’s go!
Tired MK is tired. Somebody get this boy the therapy he needs!
Wukong is trying to be responsible about the monkey form at least.
“I’m compartmentalizing!” XD me too MK, me too
MAC MAC MAC!!!! Also “Bud” not in a mocking way!!!!
“This mountain’s been by home just as long as yours” I’m screaming!!!
They’re working together! (Sorta)
Wukong confirming he didn’t know about MK!
Referencing Mac’s death and resurrection!
Ominous stone crack!!
Mei!! My girl!!!
THEY BUILT HIM A NEW HOUSE!!!!
Tang continuing the tradition of shirking the hard labor. Good to see he’s still himself.
THE PICTURES!!!
The origami!!
Even Mo gets a picture!!
HUG HUG HUG!!!
MK please chill, like even 2% calmer would be a major improvement. You need to rest and get therapy.
“Sleeping with the noodles”
Dadsy give him some comfort. Also send him to therapy. Or teach him cooking.
MK backstory! Noodles! Sleepy noodles!!!! That is so cute oh my god!!
MK is a heavy boi. Also sleepy.
“I love you, son” I am not emotionally prepared for the sheer amount of MK and Pigsy fluff in the last two minutes.
Mac sleeping with the little monkeys!!! At the tree!!!
Spooky goings on. References to Monkey King getting kidnapped to the underworld perhaps??
Stop blaming the monkeys for the things they’ve been trying to stop please. That’d be great. MK needs a nap. You could’ve waited for him to sleep.
Wukong throwing shade about the underworld situation. You tell ‘em!
Smug smile. Good monkey.
Mac canonically appears in the Monkey King Ace Attorney TV show? What?
Fillet?? Fillet??? Nezha?!? “Nezhie”?!??!?
Li Jing, hey, can’t say it’s a pleasure to meet you. Maybe take some parenting classes and then we’ll talk.
Mac trying to stop the fillet!!!
MK losing it a bit at that, love the concern for Wukong! They is a family!!!
Also Nezha trying to plea for them!
Underworld jail.
Grumpy Wukong and mopey Mac, I can just feel all the angst fics being written.
MK is trying so hard to free his mentor!
“It’s tense in here.” Gee I wonder why.
Secret plan with the fur? Secret plan with the fur? The nods?!
(I think I should interject here to point out, I rarely watch things without also doing something else to distract my hands, and yet my crochet has been forgotten because I’m having so many thoughts!)
Nezha providing exposition
Tang!Wukong, glasses is a must
Painted art style my beloved it’s good to see your return!
“My father is not the enemy” I mean he’s not exactly a pillar of goodness either my dude.
“I’m a clone”
Okay the running animation bit was actually pretty nice, love the movement. I like how they’re really trying to keep close to the original style of animation even though they’re working with a totally different tool set.
Mac, are you…are you Naruto running?
Wukong keeps doing the cutest smiles. I’m gonna have to go back through and grab some many screenshots.
Wukong and Mac just…knowing exactly how to fight together with no communication when they’re actually both on the same side.
Sandy got a new truck…
…And it’s gone, poor guy
MK worried that they’re just the harbingers of chaos when they have directly caused so few of the problems they’ve faced. Like, I get it, but maybe have some perspective. You know what would help with that? Therapy.
Just don’t explain anything. It’s fine. They’ll figure it out.
MK building powers!!
Fillet use!! Mac stepping in!! Mac sacrificing himself?!?!? Oh the angst fics will be legendary!!
“He always gets away, right?” Followed by sad face?!? OH THE ANGST FICS WILL BE LEGENDARY!!!
Monkey in pagoda. This feels familiar.
I’m sensing a later “boiling rock” style episode. Or else they all get trapped in there and have to bust out (Nezha helping them escape possibly?)
That was so good! I can’t wait for the actual proper release for better audio quality and more importantly MORE EPISODES!!

● Redson’s relationship with Dajing was complicated in the beginning, since Redson, at first, doesn’t view her as someone worthy to talk to anyone in the Demon Bull King Fortress, but for his mother’s sake, attempts to build a bond.
● She tries to get along with him, and whenever either Demon Bull King or Princess Iron Fan tends to talk about his failures, she is willing to listen or comfort him.
● However, over time, Redson and Dajing have built an aunt-nephew relationship, as she’s the only one who smothers him with affection (familial) despite his embarrassment.
“Why must you… comfort me? I don’t need this form of sympathy.”
“Because I do not like to see you feeling sad.”
SANDY
● Outside the Demon Bull Family, Sandy is one of the first and strongest friendships out of MK and his friends, since they both have the same belief of “violence isn’t the answer” and often want to ensure their friends are okay.
● They also hang out the most, as they’d often be in his home at the cargo and would have tea sessions, and Dajing would even bring new ingredients for him to try.
● Whenever Dajing is in the city, she’d often cling onto Sandy, as the futuristic appeal of cities scares her from how different the world looked from thousands of years ago.
“I’m glad you can make it, Ms. Hai. I just recently got delivered new types of tea. What would you like? I got yellow tea, oolong, lavender tea, green tea-”
“I would like lavender tea, thank you very much”
MEI
● Dajing really likes Mei, as her eccentric and snarkiness intrigues Dajing since she doesn't know or meet many people who have such a young and lively personality.
● Mei also sees her as a good friend, someone to hang out with whenever MK would go training with Monkey King, and a person who helps her forget about her family’s expectations.
● Both of them explore the city (as Dajing disguises herself as a small snake and hides inside Mei’s jacket), and Mei shows all the new locations, foods, clothes, etc. Dajing is curious about learning about the new world.
“Goodness…These buildings seem to be reaching for the skies. Are you sure these are not reserved for the ruler of this city?”
“Nah, they’re mostly shopping malls, arcades, stores - you know, all that sorta stuff.”
MK
● Whenever Sandy wasn't hanging out with Dajing, it led to Dajing hanging out with MK when he’s on break from delivering noodles.
● Oftentimes, he’d treat him similarly to Redson. As someone who'd lend an ear to listen or try being so protective and gentle towards MK, Dajing sees and treats him like he's her child.
● For MK, he sees Dajing similar to the way he sees Pigsy, as she takes a more maternal role into his life, and over time, he begins to view her as his mother figure.
“Wait - If you’re just as old as Princess Iron Fan, have you ever met Monkey King?”
“I am afraid not. I was not around when Monkey King and his friends were travelling the west.”
PIGSY
● Pigsy did not trust Dajing at first, considering that she was close to Princess Iron Fan, as well as the rest of the Demon Bull Family, and assumed she’s evil.
● However, Dajing proved him wrong and showed she wasn’t intending to hurt or fight against MK before the truce between the Demon Bull Family and the Monkie Gang.
● Both Pigsy and Dajing don’t talk as much, but do have a passion for food and love the show, Cooking with Chang’e.
“I must say, your technique in cooking is quite remarkable. I haven't seen someone use such old methods in a long time."
“I prefer to cook the right way. Cooking is a form of art when you create the noodle, the broth, and the flavour!"
TANG
● When Tang first met Dajing, he wanted to ask her SO MANY QUESTIONS about demons, if she knew anything about the Celestial Realm and other related topics; and Dajing didn’t mind talking to Tang.
● Dajing is fond of Tang, and she adores his passion for the history and tales from the Journey to the West, and likes listening to him whenever he wants to talk about new information.
● When Mei and MK are having fun, Dajing does talk to Pigsy and Tang since Sandy will either be busy with fixing his vehicle or other things.
“Really?! I can't believe that's how it really worked back?”
“Yes, it is quite an interesting fact, if I do say so.”
SUN WUKONG
● At first, Dajing was warned by Princess Iron Fan about Wukong and his reputation, making her worried and often stayed close to MK whenever he’s near.
● However, the more time she spent with MK, the more she saw how much Wukong cared for him and led Dajing to warm up, but was still cautious.
● Wukong and Dajing don’t talk too much, but do like talking about MK, and how he’s doing in his training, job, etc.
“Yup! The kid’s getting better every lesson.”
“That IS impressive, but please don’t push him too far. He’s still quite young.”
MACAQUE
● Dajing has a lot of mixed feelings about him, considering she first knew him as someone working with the Lady Bone Demon and actively putting MK and his friends in danger, but also helping MK defeat the enemy at the last minute; something doesn't feel right.
● After Macaque joins their side, she tries to act nice towards him. However, deep down, she can not forgive him for all the trouble he has caused.
● Unlike Wukong, she does not talk to him at all and hides her dislike for Macaque from everyone in order to not draw unwanted attention.

So so so
Maybe some LMK yanderes with a darling who can’t handle loud noises and will shut down or panic from yelling/anything loud? (Preferably traffic light trio but whoever you wanna do!)
I've decided to do all three then them as a Poly Couple, cause we need it in the world.
Support me here
Warning, the following content has disturbing/triggering themes such as; Yanderes, Abusive/Unhealthy Relationship(s), Sound Sensitivity, Manipulation, False Imprisonment, and others. I do not support or encourage these themes or actions, they are merely written fictional events for entertainment. The character(s) depicted within this post are over the age of 20.
MK
He first learns of your sensitivity when he or Mei get too loud and he sees you cover his ears.
Once he's been informed, he'll put in the effort to not be as loud around you.
Though, that doesn't mean he'll be perfect at it.
He honestly tries, he just forgets about it sometimes.
Regardless of that, he does stop going to loud places like the club and gets you some noise-cancelling headphones and sleeping earbuds.
Mei Dragon
She finds out about it very quickly, before you two even start dating.
He becomes very soft-spoken around you and will train her friends to not be loud around you. She'll give them the death glare if they become too loud and will hit them when you aren't looking.
Like MK, she buys you noise-cancelling headphones, with a built-in tracker in them. And that's where the wholesomeness ends.
When you're not home, she'll install some noise-making devices in. These go off randomly and make different sounds and go at different volumes. The only time they are off is when she is there.
This is done to psychologically install into your brain that she is safe to be around and that it would be safer for you to be with her then be by yourself. Aka, she uses your sensitivity against you.
Red Son
Unlike the other two, he doesn't really clue into your sensitivity. He only figures it out when you tell him.
It doesn't guarantee him lowering his volume either. He just puts some headphones on you and hopes that helps.
He still yells, he still plays music loudly, he still works on his trinkets loudly, he still fights with his parents.
The only time he does something for you about the volume is if HIS parents yell at you. He goes into a fit of rage and yells at him twice as loud, which doesn't help the situation.
He doesn't do anything because he doesn't love you, he does it because he doesn't think he should change. He takes offence when he yells and you cover your ears, thinking you don't want to listen to what he has to say. The best advice is to be careful.
Chimera
With everything stated above, Mei and MK will kick Red Son every time he forgets. The three get into fights every time Red forgets about your sensitivity and yells.
Red does it through to him, and he really doesn't like how he has had to change. But it all makes it up for it when he wakes up and sees you have wrapped your arms around him.
MK and Mei buy you noise-cancelling headphones and will tap your shoulder when they want to talk to you.
There've been moments when the three get pretty loud and one of them recommends to you to put on the headphones.
What ends up happening is that the three decide to move you into Mei's house, where she's built a room just for you. It's noise-cancelling and has a vault-like lock. It doesn't take you long to realise that you've been locked in.

hello,
I'm new to this fandom and cnovels and there's something I don't understand. Was jiang yanli a cultivator? because the way I understood, the 'shi' is a sign that it was a martial sibling, yes? then, why does she have it? in many other novels I read, they just call the older girls 'jie', like a-jie, jiejie, or put 'jie' after the name, the same with 'mei' for younger girls instead of 'shimei', just like they do with xiong or gege/ge. why is it that she is 'shijie'?
Hi!
So basically the answers to your question is that Jiang Yanli has cultivated, although she does not seem to be a cultivator, it is mentioned that her cultivation is only mediocre and she seems to have no interest in that, but also that she is shijie because despite not being an active cultivator, she is the daughter of the cultivating family that runs the Jiang Clan, which automatically makes her a shijie to every younger cultivator in her generation regardless of her ambitions.
Modaozushi runs differently than most worlds you’ll see in xianxia novels and this is intentional: there are very few sects (groups focused on passing down skills through the best students and teachers in generations) and almost all groups are clans, focusing on the family at the heart of them with outer disciples being a part of the clan, but never able to attain leadership in the way the family can. Jiang Yanli is the eldest and only daughter of the Jiang family of the Jiang clan, so regardless of her cultivation status, it is baked into the world that she is above them and thus cannot be close enough to be just a jie or Yanli-jie to anyone but her brother of blood. She is apart from them at all times.
This is also what really adds weight to her calling Wei Wuxian her didi in public, she is eschewing that distance and saying that others cannot dismiss him in front of her, that in heart that he is her didi and she will be his a-jie. Which is incredibly bold, sweet and wonderful and in a world so built around class, says both a lot about their relationship and who she is.
I hope this helps!

Day 6: Show/Fear
Prompt List
Pt. 5 of The Empire of Samadhi AU
Pt. 1 | Pt. 2 | Pt. 3 | Pt. 4 | Pt. 5 (you are here) | Pt. 6
(This is day 6 of the Monkie Destiny Challenge Prompt Month October 2023)
Wordcount: 2k
Summary: Red Son is the son of an old empire, Mei is the daughter of a new one. Red Son, consumed by fire, was put into an induced stasis sleep to stop the world from burning until his family can find a way to safely remove the fire. They find a way but he never wakes up. Hundreds of years later he awakes to discover his power resides within another as she stares at him with wide eyes on fire.
Welcome to the Show.
(This one’s a bit of a spookier one in light of this festive All Hallows’ Eve month. So warning for some mild body horror and creepy description. Please check the tags if you want more detail)
Tumblr media
Their landing was awkward.
Red Son ended up at the bottom of the pile with his face pressed into the floor with the other two on top of him. He knew immediately the destination was wrong when he felt wooden floorboards rather than dusty ash against his cheek.
They had landed somewhere they weren’t supposed to.
“Get off.” Red Son attempted to throw the two mortals off him and was kicked in the face twice by Mk before he managed to shove them both off onto the floor. “Idiots.”
He lifted his head to look around and found they’d landed in a theatre of some kind. It was empty but the lights were on, bringing a warm sort of atmosphere.
“Uh,” said Mei, with Mk draped over her lap like a limp rag-doll. “Hey, Samadhi Sifu… I think you took a wrong turn.”
“I didn’t do anything,” Red Son spat. “Some idiot hijacked my portal.” He pushed himself to his feet, cursing under his breath. “They never would have been able to do so if I was at my full strength.” He straightened up after brushing small bits of gold dust from that shattered plate off his hanfu. It didn’t matter much due to the fact it was already covered in soot, but that couldn’t be helped. Merciful Buddha, he wanted a bath.
“Ow,” said Mk, like he was the one who had gotten kicked in the face. Mei patted his back.
Red Son glanced around the theatre. It was mostly built from wood. At first glance it appeared to be new, but the closer he looked the more blemishes and broken things there were. It was an old theatre. The curtains were threadbare. There were chips in the wood. The lanterns only lit the space dimly, just bright enough to create shadows without really lighting all that much. All the seats faced a massive white screen at the head of the room. It reminded Red Son of a shadow puppet screen, only much, much bigger.
“We’ve got another thirty minutes here until my spell kicks back in,” Red Son said, glancing around for the doors or at least some sort of exit. He heard shuffling behind him and turned to see Mk falling off of Mei’s lap and face down onto the floor before popping back up, sitting cross-legged next to her.
“Well, at least there’s no spooky monkey here,” Mei said.
Upon being reminded of what exactly they’d been, not running, but retreating from, Red Son’s ire at whoever had portal-jacked him was washed over and drowned out by a very different sort of feeling.
Mk and Mei seemed content to stay on the ground as Red Son started to pace in front of them. He muttered under his breath.
Mk looked pale. Red Son had no doubt he’d be looking even paler if he’d known just who had been reaching for him.
Red Son feared nothing. Not death, not life, and no living being.
But his hands were shaking.
From the cold, he hissed to himself through gritted teeth. He would never have been shaking if he had his fire. He wouldn’t be so vulnerable if he had it. The white lady hadn’t seemed like a threat at first. She seemed a mild annoyance at best. He couldn’t sense any massive power coming from her, so how did she manage to get to him? He needed to rethink. Reevaluate. He needed to think. He needed to get his fire back or they were going to die.
“Well, well! That was quite a show!”
Red Son’s head snapped back to look where the voice was coming from. It seemed to bounce and echo over the walls, coming from nowhere and everywhere at once. Shadows seemed to tilt, getting darker, stretching further.
Mei was on her feet in an instance, Mk scrambling up close behind her, staggering a lot more.
The shadows seemed to converge on the stage, onto the screen rising up like ink until a shape was painted across it and then received form.
It was a shadow puppet.
A monkey. Merciful Buddha, Red Son had seen enough monkeys already today. Its mouth had been cut into a wide, unnerving smile, stretching over nearly half its face.
"I see you all met the Lady Bone Demon's puppet.” The puppet slumped sideways, limp, head tilting to almost upside down. It was strange. It moved in a way shadow puppets normally didn’t, to Red Son’s knowledge.
Red Son scoffed, folding his arms over his chest. “You look more like the puppet here.”
“Oho!” said the shadow puppet. “Good-” it flipped, revealing its other side, where the only difference was there was an slashed X in the place its eyes should have been, “--eye.” The puppet laughed. It doubled over with shrieking laughter at an awkward angle that didn’t look right.
Red Son found himself recoiling a bit. The thing sounded insane. Granted not as insane as him when he laughed, his cackle was much more impressive.
Out of the corner of his eye Red Son saw Mk grab Mei’s arm.
“Mei,” Mk said, his voice slightly shaky, urgent, “that sounds like-”
“I know,” Mei said, her voice grave, on edge.
“What are you two talking about?” Red Son snapped.
“Is that the Dragon Heir I see?” The puppet twisted itself as though it were hanging upside down from a branch. Sure enough the shadow of a tree rose up to assist the illusion. “And another puppet!” Its smile looked almost thrilled looking at Mk. “Isn't this all just so interesting? But who’s the third? I’ve never seen you before.” It dropped back down, into more of an animalistic, unnatural crawl. The shadow seemed to grow bigger as it crawled towards them, but it never moved off the screen.
“Who I am is none of the business of the likes of you,” Red Son said. “You know very well who you brought here. So cut the theatrics and state your business or we will burn your little theatre to the ground and you along with it.”
The puppet seemed to find that very funny, laughing and twisting. Red Son could feel something in the wood of this place. Something in the shadows growing thicker and moving.
“Oh, but the show is the best part!”
Mk cried out.
Red Son spun around to see shadows wrapping around his ankles and wrists. They lashed out around his arms binding him tightly and then pulled before any of them could react.
“Mk!” Mei yelled, reaching for him. She grabbed his wrist just before he was pulled into the shadows.
The rings lit. Mei practically spat out fire. “Let go of him.”
“There’s the famous fire!” The puppet seemed to smile wider, bigger, it sounded like it was a twisted form of excitement. “What a performance you gave that day!”
The strands of shadow snapped when Mei’s fire neared it and she caught Mk before pulling him to his feet.
“Mei,” said Mk, clinging to her.
“I know,” said Mei. “It's him.”
“What are you two peasants talking about-”
“You know,” said the puppet, drawing their attention, “really, it was rather impressive how you played right into her hands, bud.” It walked across the screen, but this time it continued off it, onto the wall. The laughter echoed.
For a moment Red Son thought the shadow was talking to Mei, but then Mei was stepping in front of Mk and shielding him with her arm, flames flickering dangerously above her.
“Mk had nothing to do with it,” Mei snapped.
The puppet laughed again, tumbling through shadows and bouncing from one place to the other around the room. It bent in unnatural directions. “Nothing? Nothing? He caused this.”
Red Son had to admit, he was curious. Curious as to how the man half-cowering behind Mei was responsible for… well, it was rather hard to understand what the puppet was referring to.
“I didn’t,” said Mk, but he didn't sound very confident about it.
“Do you think she would have gotten your precious friends if it weren’t for you? You think she would have gotten to your pathetic Sifu without your help?”
“He’s not pathetic!” Mk shouted at it. “I don’t know what you’re talking about-”
“All your second chances, all your do-good kindness lead to this. If it weren’t for you the Lady Bone Demon would have never gotten her hands on the rings.”
“But,” said Mk, his voice small, “I didn’t do anything…”
“And you think that’s a good thing?” The puppet laughed far too much in Red Son’s opinion. It lost its effectiveness after a while. At least on him. Mei and Mk just looked more and more unsettled and anxious. “You and your Master, so alike. Neither of you said anything to each other, did you?”
“What is he talking about?” Red Son asked, looking at Mk curiously.
Mk shrunk back from his gaze.
“It doesn’t matter,” Mei said. “Whatever happened doesn’t matter. So you better shut your mouth, Liú.”
The puppet stood for a moment, frozen still. Then it’s head snapped off the wall to look at Mei.
It became less of a shadow and more of a tangible thing. Its eyes were lifeless, its skin was more alive looking than a puppets should be. It had lace designs stretching across its skin in dark cracks across its skin. Its mouth stretched just as wide, but despite its upward tilting motion it didn’t look like it was smiling. It didn’t look completely like an object nor completely alive, some mix of both. Red Son could see both its eyes at once now, the slashed X over one of them looking like a gaping black hole. Its one eye was a pinprick amongst a pool, just as black, its pupil surrounded by a ring of purple.
“You’re cursed,” Red Son realized.
Its head snapped to look at him and Red Son felt frozen in place by it. The weight was nowhere near that of his fire contained in the rings above Mei’s head. But it was uncomfortable all the same. This thing in front of him was twisted and wrong and there was a lack of sanity in its one working eye that made it feel as though something would snap at any second. It looked as though it should be twitching but all it did was stay deathly still, not breathing but very clearly alive.
“Not our problem,” Red Son forced out, despite the way the words tried to lodge in his throat with the things one eye on him. “Dragon Girl, we’re leaving.”
“There’s no doors,” Mei muttered.
Red Son whipped his head around to check. And she was right. He hadn’t realized it at first, but there were no doors, no windows, no holes or cracks in the wall to slip through.
There was no way out.
It was a claustrophobic feeling. But Red Son wasn’t about to let a sealed room intimidate him.
“Very well then. Let us make one.”
“I can’t let you leave,” said the puppet that Mei called Liú. “They’ll come soon.”
“Elder Liú,” said Mk, “we can help you.”
“I can’t let you leave,” it said again, its mouth moving with the words unlike its shadow had when it spoke before. It was a horrifying sight. Shadows moved behind them, creeping closer. “I can’t let you leave. I can’t let you leave. I can’t let you leave-”
Red Son snorted. “You can’t stop us.”
It just kept repeating it over and over again, ignoring him. The shadows stretched higher. They curled over top of them. Red Son watched them creep out of the wall, wrapping around the puppet, over its mouth and face and dragging it back into the wall.
“Guys,” Mei said, glancing at her feet. “I think we’re in trouble here.”
“Then use my fire,” Red Son said through gritted teeth.
“Oh yeah,” Mei said, “right.” She shook off the shadows that had started to cling to her foot and the rings blazed brighter above her.
“Wait! Stop!” said Mk.
“What?” Mei said. Then yelped, because a shadow lashed out and wrapped around her arm.
One latched around Red Son’s leg and the shadows suddenly seemed a lot thicker and stronger than before.
“They’re shadows,” Mk said. “The more light you give them the stronger they’ll be.”
“How does that make sense?”
“Just look, the more light there is, the more shadow can be seen. Unless we could get enough light to get rid of every shadow, more light would just be making it worse.”
“Then what’s your suggestion,” Red Son snapped, clawing at the shadow that had attached itself to his wrist.
“Less light,” Mk said. “They can’t touch us if there’s no shadows to shape in the dark. We need to break the lanterns.”
“This is a terrible idea,” Red Son said.
“Do you think I have enough control over these rings to light up a whole room?” Mei asked.
Red Son did not think that.
“That’s what I thought.”
“Fine,” Red Son snapped. He snatched some fire away from Mei. The shadows had crept up to his hips now, wrapping and slowly sludging further up. He burnt some off his wrist so his hand was free. “Aim for the lanterns.”
Mei missed twice. Red Son’s feeble second-hand fire couldn’t reach very far but the sparks landed and managed to light the lantern.
“No,” the voice echoed, “what are you doing? Stop- stop I can’t exist without them-”
“It's okay, Elder Liú,” Mk said, “we’ll get you out of here.”
“Stop!”
“Ugh,” said Red Son, straining against the shadows that were now up to his shoulders. “You’re disgustingly reassuring, aren’t you.”
“I try,” Mk said. He was trying to hide it but Red Son could hear the panic in his voice.
The last lamp went out, burned to nothing, but light still remained.
“Dragon Girl, the rings.”
Mei cursed.
“Mei-” Mk’s voice was cut off as the shadows wrapped around his mouth and started dragging him down.
“Mk!”
“THE RINGS!” Red Son yelled at her.
“I GOT IT,” Mei roared back.
The shadows wrapped around Red Son’s mouth and started pulling.
The rings flickered.
“NO!” the puppet appeared in front of Mei’s face, reaching.
All at once the light went out.
Red Son fell flat on the floor, followed by two thumps.
“HA!” said Mk. “I told you! How can you get grabbed by something when you’re already in it! It's like swimming!”
“Water has currents that can grab you,” Red Son snapped at him.
“Shadows aren’t tangible like water.”
“You make less sense the more you talk.”
“It worked, didn’t it?” Mk huffed.
“Woo! Mk!” Mei cheered. “I’m gonna see that last bit in my nightmares! Haha! Where’d Old Liú go anyway?”
“Um, I’m not sure,” Mk said. “Let me check.”
There was a moment of shuffling and silence in the pitch black. Then Mk’s bright voice came.
“Found him! He’s small now. Looks like a real shadow puppet.”
“What? How can you see?”
“Huh, I wonder if we could un-curse him like how we unpossessed Mk,” Mei said, ignoring Red Son’s question.
“He feels like he’s made out of dry stuff,” Mk said. “I don’t know if it's safe to try.”
“Just give him to me,” Red Son scoffed, blinding feeling around for Mk. “I’ll seal him in so he won’t jump back out the moment there’s shadows to jump from if you’re both so worried about it. You can figure out what to do with this thing later. We’re going to be pulled back any minute now.”
Red Son heard a sound that took him a moment to place as Mk’s muffled laughter.
“What? What are you laughing at?”
“Nothing,” Mk said. “Here, hold still, I'll hand him to you.”
Red Son sighed and held out his hand impatiently.
He could feel Mk standing in front of him, hesitating.
“What now?” he groaned.
“Just… be careful with him. Don’t hurt him okay?” Mk finally handed him over.
“Whatever,” said Red Son, casting the spell to seal the puppet in its current form. “He’s none of my concern, living or dead.”
Mk didn’t reply to that, but he could practically feel his worry.
“There,” Red Son said, shoving him back at him. “He won’t be any trouble for now.”
“Great,” said Mei. “So do we need to talk about why Liú looks like a monkey? Or…?”
The ground lit up underneath them.
Mk yelped, his face illuminated and rushed to stuff the small shadow-puppet into his hanfu.
The room lit up in flames.

Note
what was Red’s time living under Guanyin like
Like an eternal kindergarden. Because time still moves in the Southern Seas like on earth, Red spent a lot of time just mediatating and learning how to hone his powers/temper.
Imagine having the longest school day of your life. Even with snack breaks and field trips to different holy sites and blessings, Red became bored very quickly. He learned so much but grew so little because thats just how he's built. He needs parental influence to actually grow up, not a teacher/auntie(?) goddess.
He initially wants nothing to do with his old mentor, cus he could have spent the last couple of centuries finding a way to free his dad instead of essentially being a monk.
Later, he doesnt resent Guanyin for taking him under her wing - in fact he appriciates that she took the time to help him instead of giving up on him like he was an "unteachable" child.
It's like when you randomly remember something cringey you did as a little kid. Red randomly remembers running around the mountainside naked and on fire, or being an absolute terror to "Auntie" Guanyin, and he just has to scream into his coat for a few moments.
Lets be honest, Red Son was like a screaming toddler who happened to be on-fire. Guanyin could only give out so many naptimes and juice boxes. She does however teach him very important magic skills that help him a lot in figuring out a way to free DBK in the au.
Tumblr media
Red will still occassionally hang out with his teacher for extended lessons and mediation time. Throughout his new childhood in the au he often "leaves for boarding school" to study in the Southern Seas. MK and Mei cried every time he left for the few months.

One Small Change
Blurb: After years of forgetting, you finally bit the bullet and got new glasses, which your SO took notice of very quickly
Authors note: Tooootally not based on me getting new glasses after 5 years, what are you talking about?
ALSO: I am taking requests, just send them in and I'll see what I can do. I reserve the right to refuse any and ignore you if I dont
Pairing: Redson x Reader
You weren’t surprised to find yourself hauled out of bed by Mei, you were confused about the trip to the optometrist though.
“You have tortured yourself for far too long, get yourself examined and I’m paying for your new glasses!”
You tried to fight, honestly! You had promised that you would get yourself an appointment, but she had pointed out that you have had the same pair of glasses and prescription for 3 years now, and she caught you squinting way too many times to realize that your prescription wasn’t working.
After the exam, you persisted in paying at least for the medical part, you and Mei were now in the main room of the building, looking through the frames they had to offer. You found yourself drawn to one specific pair, but paled at the price tag. Mei noticed your look of dismay and shoved the pair onto your face.
“Don’t even think about it! I’m paying.” She announced. You rolled your eyes, but turned towards the mirror.
You scrutinized your reflection, before smiling and looking at your friend who gave you a thumbs up with a grin on their face. You faced the attendant at the counter and placed your new pair of glasses down on the table. She smiled, taking your insurance and prescription, measured your glasses, and informed you that they would arrive in 2 weeks.
In the meantime, you went about your daily life. You went to work, hung out with your friend group, and occasionally texted your significant other who was in the desert regaining her family reputation and status through the construction of their new fortress.
Was getting with a demon with you being a mortal the smartest idea? Maybe not, but it wasn’t exactly your fault either. But that’s another story.
While at your desk at work reading the weather patterns that should be generated in the next few weeks, you got the notification that your prescription was ready. You texted Mei to grab it and drop it off as you had to work on the weather generator a bit because of some safety concerns, and Buddha knows that you would want your vision to be top tier and not get blasted with a tsunami.
You met her by the door, taking the glasses from her and turning to go inside before she caught your arm.
“And a special delivery from a certain red boy~” She handed a brown paper bag to you. You could smell all the spices emitting from it, causing you to chuckle
“Lamb?” You asked. Mei nodded, and handed you your favorite drink as well. You sighed, taking out your phone from your pocket.
You spoil me far too much.
Only the best for my dear, so don’t even dare think you deserve less!
You scoffed, but stuffed your phone back into your pocket in defeat. There was no point in trying to argue when you knew they had the money to spare to get you some nice things, or cook you good food.
You replaced your glasses, placing your old pair in their case, and widened your eyes at the difference it made. You moved on though, shoveling the food down to get back to work, chugging down the drink when the spice built up too much. You quickly moved on to actually working, rolling up your sleeves and reaching over to zyour work table and rolling it closer to the problem place.
You unscrewed the panel, and groaned. This was gonna be a long night.
Two hours later, you staggered up to your apartment, unlocking the door and dragging yourself to the kitchen to get some much needed sweets after that whole ordeal. You dug through your freezer for some ice cream, but froze yourself when you felt a sudden heat wave from what felt right behind you in the living room
“I don’t get why you insist on not bothering me when you get home, nor text me when you get off of work, but I know for a fact that you should have been home two hours ago when I had dragon horse girl drop off the food-“ The heir to the demon bull lineage continued to spew out his frustrations at you working later than normal as he made his way to your bedroom door and knocked.
“Hello? Are you in there?” She stood cross armed, tapping her foot on the ground. You let out a snort, catching the demon off guard. You smiled, walked up to your partner and offered a spoon while gesturing to the two containers on the kitchen counter with your and theirs favorite ice cream flavors.
“I would have sent something, but it slipped my mind because I had a massive problem with the weather generator. The cloud synthesizers were almost used up, and made sparks which ate the wiring-“ You continued on ranting about the long list of problems the generator went through as you grabbed your ice cream and plopped yourself down on the couch with Redson following suit, full attention on you. Well, kinda on you.
“- and don’t even get me started on the sun warmer, I- Reds?” You stopped your rant when you realized Reds regular heat they emit cooed. You looked over to them, noticing the slight tilt of their head, their pursued lips, and the raised eyebrow. You furrowed your brow and waved your hand in front of his face, causing him to blink a few times.
“You there pops ?” You teased. Reds scoffed at the nickname. She regretted drinking wine that night, causing her to slip out how poppies were her favorite flower because of how her mother decorated the house with them on her birthday.
“I’m here, just… did you get new glasses?” He asked. You raised an eyebrow, then remembered the drop off Mei did. You smiled, adjusting them back up your nose bridge.
“Yeah I did! Mei and I picked them out a few weeks ago. Do you like them?” Red continued to stare at your face for a uncomfortable amount of time, before cupping your cheeks and kissing your nose bridge. You froze, processing the sudden affection while Redson smirked.
“You look good, but I would have preferred you to come to me for a new upgrade. I could have fitted you with night vision and infrared, only the highest quality of course!” They declared. You chuckled, reaching up and running your hand through their hair/ ears, trailing your fingers over the ridges of the horns sprouting from their head.
This was your favorite activity to do when you guys were alone, as no matter what, Redson could not hide the blush when you coo over their appearance like this.
“Thank you for the offer, but I like them the way they are.” You determine. Redson chuckled, taking you in their arms and resting their chin on your shoulder. You could hear the faintest whisper of so did he.
