Chuuya knows this is a bad idea. But their common sense is clouded by alcohol and Ranpo was staring them down with those stupid green eyes, like he was trying to undress them from across the room, and fuck.

Chuuya groans as he bites down on their lip. They have him pinned against the wall, but that hasn’t stopped Ranpo from acting like he still has the upper hand. Like this is exactly what he wanted.

Chuuya knows they’ve played directly into his trap, but it feels too good to stop now.

“You are so goddamn annoying,” they grumble between kisses, voice nothing more than a harsh whisper against Ranpo’s smiling lips. “I hate you.”

“Mhm,” Ranpo hums. “That must be why you want me so bad right now.”

“Shut the hell up.”

“Make me.”

And oh, that is a challenge Chuuya most certainly will not back down from.

“Chuuya…” Dazai murmurs, tightening their grip on his hair. They don’t pull him back, though, so Chuuya continues carefully unwinding the bandages wrapped around their thigh.

“Is there something you want?”

Dazai whines.

“Sorry,” Chuuya smiles, “I can’t understand you if you won’t use your words.”

“Chuuya!”

Chuuya laughs. Having finished with the bandages, he tosses them aside. Then, he presses his lips to Dazai’s hip bone. Too soft to fully satiate them but enough to soothe them for the moment. “Be patient,” he instructs. “It’s not my fault you feel the need to mummify yourself.”

“Chuuya’s being so mean!”

Chuuya kisses them again through a teasing grin. “I think you like it, though.”

Dazai doesn’t argue. When Chuuya glances up, he finds their face is flushed all the way to the tips of their ears.

They’ve only just started, but he’s having so much fun already.

i've shared this fake dating headcanon a while ago, but i've never written anything lengthy with that trope. but if i was to, it'd go something like this (i played around with some more tropes and stuff, hope you don’t mind :3)

they work for the same police department as detectives and initially don’t really like each other, because they keep stealing the other’s cases

until one day they’re both given the same case and made to work together– some crime of passion, a guy murdered his wife during their huneymoon and then vanished into thin air

so they’re sent to the secluded island where the scene took place and accomodated at the same hotel– except the place is specifically designed for couples and hosts all kind of coupley activities, like dance nights and fishing dates and trips to the mountains and baking classes and so on and so forth– so they have to pretend to be a couple to fit in and not raise any suspicion (and also they share a room)

between turning the place upside down for clues and faking a relationship to fit in, they actually start liking each other and seeking out the other's presence– Annie, usually quiet and straightforward, slowly opens up to him, and Armin, usually calculated and five steps ahead of everyone, lets himself just be. But they tell each other it’s just for the mission. The mission comes first, it always does.

But the more time they spend on the island, the more complicated the case gets. The clues don’t add up, the husband is found inexplicably dead, yet the staff claims that they have never seen that man before. They soon find themselves in a dead end, running in a loop. The couples they now live with soon begin to vanish, one by one. The staff gets weirder by the day. They feel like every step they take is watched and closely monitored. No ship comes to the island and none leaves. They're trapped, and getting frustrated with this case, and yet they have to keep up the facade of a happy couple so that they’re not discovered.

Until one night they snap and take their frustration out in all ways they know how.

ok i'll stop now because this is lowkey turning into a mini outline lmao but yeah!! it'd go something like that! they'd solve the case and deny their feeling till the very end, and finally admit to them when one of them gets a job offer out of state weeks later.

may i request 3 headcanons you have about yone and aphelios' friendship in heartsteel 🥺 ...

yaay wahoo! I've not read through a lot of your posts so I'm sorry if some of these don't align with your own! but id also love exploring their friendship more if you're up for it! 😳

I'd like to imagine that, in their earlier days in the music scene, they were either mutuals or knew each other in the online scene/forums at the time, since we learned they knew about each other's work in their interview and phel was the one who asked Yone to join! Being younger and an indie artist just sharing work from his room, Aphelios probably learned a lot about the industry's inner workings through Yone, and unfortunately how brutal it can be watching Yone's burnout in real time. No matter what, he would be sure to comment on posts and boost Yone's work when it was shared, and would reminisce about getting to see his mixing live one day. When Aphelios had his surgery he probably had a bout of inactivity for a looong time, but slowly returned posting his wips or tracks, maybe catching up with Yone's posts he missed.

Because of their age difference and respect he has for the other, Aphelios changes the way he types when communicating with Yone specifically. it's a lot more formal and with less internet terms/slang, he might even use formatting. But emoticons and emojis will still slip in here and there. He tries to be on his best behaviour around his producer too with less goofing off to prove he's working hard because he cares how Yone sees him and respects his opinion... and that making music together is basically a dream come true. If he doesn't go to Alune, phel is asking for Yone's opinion on beats or choices in his tracks. Sometimes he'll accidently send them at the ungodly hour he was working, but he'll try and cover himself with a bad excuse like the internet or reception must have been down until then. With all this in mind, I think it's difficult for Aphelios to talk about anything else but music with Yone. It's what brought them together and where they are in the band now, but really if they are friends then he needs to try and take an interest with other parts of Yone's life. It's just a little difficult. He'll bring up work things before talking about the weather...

Whenever caught in one of his Harmless pranks or bullying the other members of the band, Aphelios' instinct is to act completely innocent or justified in his actions. It's the worst with Yone, where he'll try and use Yone's secretive favoritism to his advantage - and the mentioned before good behaviour he always has with work to either slacken his punishment or in the rare occurrence of getting away with it scot-free. Does the threat of Yone's disappointment dissuade his actions? No, it only motivates him to get even better with hiding his tracks. Yone is, of course, the second-least likely victim to his schemes (the first being Alune.)

horror franchise knockout 🥊💥: results!

this is it! after 9 bloody, brutal rounds, we have our one lone survivor. it was a close fight between a formidable pairing - saw, a 19 year, nine movie franchise with a film coming out in october, and evil dead, a 42 year, four film and 3 season franchise with a film coming out in april! saw almost got eliminated in about half the rounds of the poll, but fought tooth and nail to make it to the finals. evil dead won the least votes every single round, skating all the way through to the last faceoff. in the end, only one can win this knockout game.

the winner of the horror franchise knockout tournament is….

evil dead!

the final matchup was pretty tight, especially given the total sweep evil dead had the entire game, with 53.3% of the votes for saw, and 46.7% of the votes for evil dead. thanks everyone for playing along, congrats to ash williams for being the least hated franchise babygirl on tumblr!

i wanted to look at what proportion of votes the eliminated franchises got relative to how many options there were, so that we could compare each round equivalently despite the differing numbers of options. these numbers are essentially the percent of votes divided by (1/number of films in the round), both as a whole number (so times 100).

based on that, the order from most severe sweep to closest-to-even result was:

- final destination (2.21)

- friday the 13th (2.20)

- child’s play (2.03)

- texas chainsaw massacre (1.90)

- nightmare on elm street (1.65)

- psycho (1.50)

- halloween (1.48)

- scream (1.13)

- saw (1.07)

- evil dead (.93)

and the result of the bonus round, from worst/least liked to best/favorite:

- psycho (3.4%)

- friday the 13th and texas chainsaw massacre (4.3%)

theres some pretty interesting differences between these orders! the final three in the knockout game (relatively close last two rounds) were also the most liked franchises by a landslide in the bonus round, (though saw managed to eek out the win there!) and the closest results by proportional numbers. but, the first two eliminated franchises (final destination and evil dead) fared better than the rest when i asked people to vote for what the liked most. of course, the fun of the game was seeing how the choices left impacted the votes, so the independent bonus round isnt the same at all, but its fun to look at
