Ah yes, Jade Leech, the opposite version of his twin brother. While these two tend to have similar appearances aside from the position of their eye color and hair strand, they're both different in terms of their respective lovers.

Jade Leech is the kind of man who enjoys comforting you despite his sadistic treatment to his peers, even before the two of you established a romantic relationship and still has a huge crush on you. This guy would rant and gush about you to his fellow octavinelle peers and they seem to be annoyed whenever the vice headwarden talks about you. Except that his twin doesn't find it as an annoyance but instead, it's his personal mission to get the two of you together.

Unlike his twin brother, he is not that open to his romantic feelings towards you in fear that you might find it really weird of him. Jade would tried his best to keep the relationship as professional as possible but it was made impossible by his nosy sibling. Poor Jade would shoot daggers at Floyd whenever he's about to spill the beans that his dear brother has a crush on the prefect of Ramshackle Dorm. The pinning goes on and on until Floyd had enough of the pinning and decided to tell you that Jade has a crush on you.

Thanks to his brother's antics, you gladly accepted his brother's confession and decided to go on a date with him; mountain hiking!! He would explain each and every mushroom and plant he could find and you just stared in awe as he rambles about his interest. That's the moment where you decided to give him a kiss on the cheek while he leans down, in which he teases you a bit, calling you his lil shroom since you are quite shorter than him.

Jade is the type of guy who will throw small pebbles towards you bedroom whenever the two of you would argue and disagree with something and brings in a small terrarium as a gift for making you mad at him. His heart couldn't bare the fact that he made his lil shroom upset and angry over a snark remark he commented.

And speaking of terrariums, Jade will always give you terrariums as gifts. No matter how big or small, he'll still give it to you and you may need a huge shelf for the gifts your boyfriend sent you. He also loves it when you got into his shirt and hugged his tummy, feeling the warmth that radiates from his body and like his brother, he is big into PDA but prefers to keep it subtle and low like putting his hand around your waist or holding your hands while walking towards your next class.

The tiny wheels and cogs in his brain are turning but their movement is very delayed by the short circuits that are currently going on in his poor little rooster head

By the time he regains his grip on reality, you’re far away from the captain’s quarters but can still hear his enthusiastic clucking all the way on the deck - you can’t quite make out what he’s saying but you’re in no headspace to figure that out right now anyway

You consider making a dive for the water, the one place Bartolomeo can’t follow you, but decide on the girl’s quarters instead - which in all fairness was just a spare room someone had slapped the sign ‘gurl’ spelled with a ‘z’ on when you boarded this sausagefest of a crew, but it was the principle of it all!

You hear your captain’s boots approach the door alongside his loud wails of, “__-saaaan, please talk to me!!” and reluctantly eye the window, weighing the pros and cons of actually going through something like that

For the sake of preventing any broken bones and the fact that Bartolomeo’s river of tears from his initial reaction had started to spill over into your room from the other side, you swing the door open to yell at him that fine, you will, if he knocked it off already

Instead you find the man standing perfectly composed, if not a little snot-nosed, patiently waiting your response; the shout withers in your throat before you can even get it out

“__-san! You-” he beams, lighting up immediately and you quickly usher him into your room with a slam of the door - as dramatic as your captain can be, you don’t want the details of your love life televised to the entire crew, at least not this early

You could already sense Gambia peeking around the corner of the hallway with a handful of other busy-bodies and make a note to clobber the lot of them later, once all of this... emotional junk is out of the way

You turn back to Bartolomeo from the unintentional hole you’d been trying to put in your door from glaring at it, sat on your bed twiddling his fingers

Even if the first burst of emotion from the inciting incident had faded, he still looked plenty nervous, bouncing his leg and avoiding eye contact like a schoolgirl confessing to her first crush - only that in this situation, you’d been doing the confessing

He looked like a puppy like that, gosh, your big bad “gang-leader-turned-pirate-captain” was mush for the people he loved and you couldn’t stand it he was too damn cute

“Yeah, I like you. So what?”

You crossed your arms and focused on a particular spot of mold on the floor so you wouldn’t have to look at the way Barto’s grin split his face, already aware that you were red all the way up to your ears from the heat that radiated from your face

If you’re uncomfortable with overt PDA, he’ll try his best to accommodate, but you have to be very stern and clear with him. Bartolomeo means no ill will and the last thing he’d want to do is chase you away by being overbearing, but he just can’t help being overjoyed that he of all people managed to catch the eye of such a neat gal. He mellows with time I promise, it’s just going to be very gradual and he’s not very subtle in the first place

• Miles and Phoenix are two different people yet like a coin they are both alike so if you did manage to catch both of the man's attention you have to be special to them and have some connection like you being opposite team or being a detective helping both of them in a case but another scenario is both of them were your childhood friends. Which has more potential for more to bloom.

• If we took this route I can imagine comforting Phoenix after class about what happened and that’s how you met Larry and Miles. The four of you guys always hanging around and when you gave three of them matching “The Steel Samurai” keychains every one of your parents knew that you guys were inseparable.

• Gregory saw what was in Miles eyes for it was puppy love, Miles would go on until the end of dinner about how cool you are and how you helped him get up after P.E. and that’s a lot, especially from a quiet kid like Miles. Gregory can only chuckle and pat his head and give important words of advice to him as a good father does.

• Larry is an odd case. He is no stranger to crushes during this time but man.. Both of their puppy crushes towards you made him feel like a fourth (?) wheel in your friendship. Larry would see Miles and Phoenix bickering who sits beside you and in the end, you always sit in the middle of them while Larry is just staring at them.

• Now after the DL-6 case, Miles needed someone to support him but before you could even grasp him, he was already taken under Manfred’s wing. 'It was a good idea that time for him' he desperately said to himself, he was ashamed to even face you, Phoenix, and Larry if he couldn’t even stand his face—the killer of his father.

• Miles now in a horrible headspace with a strict mentor, put away his keychain in a small box and started overwhelming his head in his studies, if he even remembers a glimpse of the past he would double down on his homework. For a long time, it worked, making himself busy so he can’t remember you guys kept him from facing his past.

• Phoenix decided to take art as a major and meet his beloved “Dollie” You guys were still friends but Phoenix decided to focus more on his relationship, he would talk and talk about how much of a sweetheart Dahlia is even though the rumors you heard about her were very unsettling.

• And as any good friend would you decided to step up and meet Dahlia and tell her if she loves Phoenix even with all the horrible speculations about her, yet, she never came. Later on, you heard that there was a murder on campus and Phoenix was the one who got arrested but meeting up with Phoenix you spilled out that you were to meet Dahlia. Which caused you to be a source of a time testimony.

• That’s when you met Mia, she was an awkward sweetheart with a fierce determination to bring down Dahlia while protecting Phoenix, a perfect lawyer for this case. Yada Yada we know what happened Dahlia was evil all along and was using Phoenix as bait, and oh yeah! Phoenix ate a glass pendant.

• After all the shenanigans you were there for Phoenix to comfort him and you also found out by Mia that Miles is now a lawyer! Phoenix starts studying law under Mia and you have gained interest in criminal cases and such that you study to become a lawyer.

• Phoenix’s puppy love for you slowly opened up like a box of memories as he felt his attraction towards you grow stronger every day but Dahlia messed this man up, so he would only stay on the sidelines and support you. He would subconsciously start feeling envious whenever you talk about having a significant other but he bid none for he thinks it is normal…it is normal to feel jealousy and bubbling hatred when your best friend talks about having a significant other.

• At this point Mia knows Phoenix’s interest in you, she thinks it’s adorable and would even slip out whenever she was talking to Maya. Mia would subconsciously give some tips to Phoenix so he would get an idea. She was playing cupid for the both of you.

• Now when meeting Miles for the very first time as childhood friends I can imagine this being Mia’s case. When he saw your name on the file as a supporting detective for the defense side he would have to spit out his tea not only was Phoenix there but you too? Miles that time didn’t know what to do and his mind was fumbling when greeting you so he just showed his asshole persona even though he tried to be much softer and professional in his wording but failed.

• Seeing both of you made him feel nostalgic, especially you, you have a special place in Mile’s heart and he doesn’t know why. Mile’s here has been lacking comfort for everything especially when it comes to opening up after his father died so I can see Mile’s seeking comfort in your presence with him thinking he doesn’t need to say anything since you knew him. (one-sided relationship)

• I can see Miles involuntarily make some moves on you and the whole precinct can see it. They can see how Mile would invite you for tea or he would let you rest at your table even though he doesn’t even let Gumshoe barely have those rights. (raise his salary dawg)

• Miles is HORRIBLE showing his emotions at this time so he would slip up some cold remarks towards you and think that it was normal but looking back made him scream at a pillow.

• Phoenix notices that Miles has been around you a lot during the investigation and he tries to rationalize his feelings but all he did was bite his gums till they bled. But for Miles, he would feel this ugly feeling knowing well that Phoenix was there for you and you knew him much more throughout the years than him.

• After Miles's trial, he would compress you out of his memories and when he decided that he would “kill himself” he had this revolting idea to take you with him but he immediately shook those thoughts out of his head and went his way.

• Miles knows Phoenix's affection when it comes to you, Miles is a selfless man he doesn't want to get in the way of Phoenix's feelings, yet he can’t help it. No matter what Miles does he seems to be attracted to you, he tries so many times to fill his mind with other things but whenever he imagines you and Phoenix together, all he can feel and think is sadness and disappointment, he's disappointed at himself for feeling this way.

• Phoenix's hatred towards Miles would have grown exponentially in that time, he hears your cries whenever he visits you. Phoenix knew that you were in a vulnerable position and yet for some reason when Phoenix comforted you and you let him enter the deepest core of your heart Phoenix felt flattered he knew that he was taking advantage of your state but he couldn’t help but think that—this is what it’s meant to be. You let him enter your heart deeper than anyone could. Especially not Edgeworth.

• Phoenix sees Miles as a friendly rival at court but when it comes to you all that respect they both have for each other when dealing is off.

• Miles owes Phoenix a lot of things and vice versa, so setting their eyes on the same person is a sight to see, and for you, you were shocked the least to see two of your best friends act rather odd to each other.

• Since Phoenix knew you best he would remind you of how Miles left the three of you without any explanation, that’s not how friends act! Maya and Pearly would also support the both of you, Pearly always gushing about the two of you while Maya and her eccentric ways would give hints.

• Franziska on the other hand would notice the strange actions and attitudes Miles changes whenever you are mentioned in a conversation, she would notice how more hesitant Miles is to his words when you are in his presence.

• I won't say that both of them are insufferable but they are irritable, they always trying to hog your attention from the other one and it drains you out, plus how they always are in your sight making you have no time for your friends and family.

• Them courting you at first is awkward, to say the least. For starters, Phoenix will be skeptical of his feelings because he has these walls that prevent him from falling in love with someone because of Dahlia's fault, Miles' case is him being introverted and never talking to someone besides the Von Karmas but after things have been resolve, Miles tried to open up; key word tried so he will definitely will be the last one to even make moves on you, So that will be the starting point of Miles obsession, but can you even blame the man he built so many walls just for someone to break it in no time of course, and these joyful feelings are so addicting yet so sickening.

• They will fight at the simplest things just to grab your attention. At first, it was cute and all, most of your colleagues and friends were even gushing but later on, it was getting tiring for you can’t have some time for yourself or others. Space or private time doesn’t exist now, good luck trying to live without it!…

• The height of this dynamic would be during the Apollo Justice timeline. In this time Miles would have more time with you than Phoenix since his disarmed, but Phoenix and his cunning ways would work his way to your thoughts and make you spend more time with him, especially with Trucy. How tragic, you would just leave your best friend for many years with his adopted daughter who needs another parental figure alone? How you break her innocent heart.

• Trucy nurtures her daddy’s “affection” towards you, she would steal you away from Miles and bring you to her dad and make one plate of spaghetti, like those cheesy old cartoon movies she saw.

• But since Kristoph is in Phoenix’s life he would give you to Miles for protection, as much as he wants to spend more time with you he can’t, he’s scared of what Kristoph will do and his devilish hands will grab you in one of his devious plans.

• These two are probably the highest when it comes to sharing you, they both actually like each other and owe each other so much that you’re basically like a reward from heaven for the both of them.

• You can’t hide anything from any of them even if it’s a white lie. Privacy was again breached which is overbearing in both their parts.

• After the “Dark Age of the Law” Phoenix would be more conniving, Phoenix now learning how to use his charisma and charm to get what he needs, while Miles would have more power than ever. Both men have connections everywhere, Phoenix to his old clients and Miles and his chief prosecutor.

• Both men would always have time when it comes to you, and most of the time you’re in Mike’s house. Miles and Phoenix used some strings so you could quit your job and be their fiance. Yes, a polyamorous relationship which they don’t disagree.

• A beautiful lover for both Mr. Wright and Mr. Edgeworth for you have no more choices in life. Some of your friends or families disagreed with your relationship or would just leave the city because of the stacking legal cases surrounding them. For your body will be surrounded with both their arms, Miles's piercing eyes show you his desire for Phoenix’s kisses shows his devotion for you.

Miles and Phoenix's words surround you with love yet you know that this isn’t normal or sane. They keep you in their house and always put on a delusional act that they are protecting you.

A really nasty man, we don't even have to imagine him as some kind of 'dark!' au character. He is just like that... And when I replayed the game this summer it got me thinking - I am someone who falters at any show of (even only perceived) authority and become super meek - and then that thought led me to 'through the briar'. I was downright possessed by this fic and I gotta be honest - there is still so much I wanna say about reader, Micah and even Arthur in that context. A sequel isn't entirely off the table but I think I would need to replay Chapter 6 and the Epilogue first for more inspo. (And I do have another fic in the works! It has a/b/o and I would say it is a little ooc for him but the omegaverse setting kinda raises the stakes and I am still working on it, so who knows how it'll turn out! One thing I can 100% guarantee is that it has noncon and reader gets pissed on because it just fits. That is set in stone lol) But I can drop some thougts on where a sequel would go (because I have thought about it. A lot.) I put them under a readmore because they got long lol 😭😂 - it's just me rambling about 'your' future after the fic haha

I've mentioned it in a comment reply on ao3 but reader's future hinges on her getting pregnant and/or her 'snitching' on Micah. The pregnancy is probably the bigger one of these two because if she was with child I think he could turn terribly possessive down the line. Imo he'd never love you - not really - but if you are carrying his child (especially a little Micah IV, oh no) you become a part of his. Property. Simple as. It would tie you two together for life and that's something I don't wish on reader. It's not like he'd take you with him (looking at Mount Hagen and his hideout) but you'd spend your days in some mingy cabin barely scraping by, probably. With him visiting you ever so often- but if you think you can simply pack your child and make a run for it - oh goodness, do not. We've seen how he shot down Strawberry for his guns (and you're not as appreciated as them but you are his), he'd drag you back, kicking and screaming. It would be a very bleak existence for you, especially if you do end up having a son. (That'd be a really interesting part to write out, for example. Because it would be damn gritty!) Another thing that is heavily on my mind is reader's 'reputation' after 'through the briar' - while I don't think that Micah would do it again, I do think he would allude to it and lowkey jokingly threaten you with it. It would be very obvious to anyone listening in that something happened (they wouldn't know it was coerced, though). And I really think about how the women and Arthur especially would look at you afterwards, you know? Would they be disgusted? Would they worry about you, would they instinctively know that something happened? How heartbreaking it would be for them to turn their backs on you for this. And Arthur! He and reader had something special and I left it up for interpretation if reader had a crush on him or not, but they were close. And Micah tore a gigantic hole into that because either reader would tearfully confess to what happened and we'd get a big blow-out in camp with Arthur going nuclear (but ultimately, I really don't think it would change much, just make Dutch wary of you because Micah would be in his ear) or she lets it eat her and they grow apart. It's really sad, actually. In some alternative timeline Arthur never had tbc and him and reader rode off into the sunset to spend the rest of their days together after helping with Beecher's Hope (romantic or platonic, it's your pick really haha). They are both insecure little shits with a soft spot for the other but together they just. Click. You know? And then the credits roll, bam. (oh and Micah never bothers them again!!!1111 😂😂😂)

hi^^ i'm not feeling well recently and i was wondering if i could request some Mammon fluff to heal me. the scenario being, Mammon and MC are best friends and promised to tell each other everything, so when he overhears his brothers gossiping that MC admitted to having a crush, he gets a lil upset because 1) how could you not tell him abt it first? and 2) who is MC crushing on???? and he acts moody with them until he finds out that MC's crush is on him whether by confession or the brothers, up to you. i just need a lovestruck Mammon being oblivious to his own feelings for his best friend until the idea of them being in relationship with someone else sets him off... i'm sorry if this is so cheesy and cliché!

Only one demon in the whole of Devildom knew you like the back of his hand.

Mammon.

In the first weeks of the exchange program, he had seen you as a nuisance not he nor you knew when that changed. You two had grown accustomed to each other’s presence to a point many had assumed that you were a couple. Of course, the demon had to explain that you two were best friends and not a couple (while tomato blushing). His brothers especially Lucifer and Asmo would relentlessly tease their brother while a small and soft smile played on their lips.

In the span of only a few months, the demon had become someone you could talk with and complain about in a very dramatic way that never failed to make the demon laugh at your antics. So, in the end, you ended up telling him everything about yourself, your likes, dislikes, your life back in your home realm, family, and just about everything.

Like you love chocolate filled with almonds.

Or which brand of Devildom soda you had come to like.

Or that one manga Berserk manga you love and that one manga you especially dislike. (He also agrees with you on that….)

That one game you like and also the character you like so much that you call him your “Husbando”. (he nearly wanted to throw hands with a fictional character)

So of course, not only Mammon would boast about how was he your first, but also about how much he knows you and how you would spoil him.

You two would help each other in almost everything, and also get punishment from the eldest together.

“The peas of the same pod.” You two were truly just that.

Or that was supposed to be that way…..

For some days you acting quite….. weird….. but in a good way.

Out of nowhere, you would take him to Hell’s Kitchen or Madam Screams and then you would look in his eyes, searching for something in them.

Then you started to hug him out of nowhere while running at him at lightning speed….. every day. At first, he did not at all understand why you do this, which caused him to think that you were in danger so he literally sprinted in the direction you came from, to rip the sonnuvabich to pieces, only for you to tell him with a smirk that you wanted to surprise him. Why………. I mean he is not against the hug itself it's just that it was so sudden. Though, don’t worry now he will catch you and hug you before you could! After all, he ain’t the fastest demon for nothing!

Only….. for you to pout at him……. (so cute…..No! He ain’t blushing or anything!)

Then one day, a demon started to hit on him, only to get spooked by your very angry face. That day, Leviathan screamed at you for being so much jealous that it triggered his demonic nature.

“Ah………. Yes, it seems she had learned about pacts today and was asking Mammon to make one with her. He somehow got away from her.”

Ever since that evening, Lucifer has kept tabs on Irina’s movements under MC’s order.

“……Tch.” She shakes her head, as if to say, ‘she had seen this coming’. “Lu, can you please call all your brothers here in your study?”

The demon raises his eyebrow, “Will you be ordering them not to make a pact with Irina?”

“…..Yes. Would that be petty?”

“…..Yes, however, I do feel you should do it since it is a need now.” He looks at her, eyes soft and reassuring. The human looks away from him, eyes looking outside the window. She sighs deeply eyes closing for a moment-

“Do you think that I should have been stricter towards them?”

“….”

“Do you think maybe I should have been like Solomon? Making pacts just for the power? Maybe then…. Then things wouldn’t have come to this……”

“….MC….”

“Maybe it was because I was too trusting of them……. Maybe it was because……. I was too soft on them? Or maybe….. they only pretended that they care for me………”

“…….” He knew that this was wrong, but he had now seen an opportunity arise at this. “Maybe they did….” He replies, standing up and walking towards her, a faint yet twisted smile on his face.

“Maybe they did, after all they are demons. They may have pretended to like you since, Diavolo and I had told them to be civil towards you.” He wraps his large hands around her waist and kisses her on the neck, he continues, “They may have done it out of fear.”

“If that is so, then even you may be pretending right at this moment, yes?”

Chuckling darkly, he smiles at her lovingly, “I am not like them, sweetheart. They did so for their own good and became blind to their own power over your heart and you, our master. Even though it hurts my pride a bit, but it is the truth, demons in pacts are like wild dogs. They need to be trained to respect their master. If the master doesn’t trains them? Well, there are repercussions of it. For example, losing respect towards them.”

“But they can be disciplined with love as well, right?”

“True, there are two ways teach an insolent, bratty dog, either to love them or to show them where their place truly is. You, my darling, have taught me through love, something that I and many others saw as an impossible feat. Yet you achieved it.” His hands tighten around her figure, he nuzzles on her neck.

“I am your loyal dog. And you are my master. I have already pledged my loyalty to you since the night I had bound myself to you through our pact, but I shall pledge it once more to you.” He suddenly removes his arms and steps away from her.

My #1 post of 2022

Could we get Mc finding out diavolo has concubines while they are dating. And diavolo doesn't understand what is wrong with it. The angst, the drama.... then Mc just tell him she'll indulge in the brother then. And maybe it clicks for dia.... and he is just like..." oh...OH! Ya ok, we getting rid of the concubines, MC COME BACK!" And basically turns into a sad puppy dog following Mc around saying sorry over and over as Mc just keeps kissing the brothers, like all of them, one by one, right in front of Dia, until he finally really gets it. That if he wants real love and true loyalty in a lover, that the same is expected of him.

Ps, I like your writing, so whichever way you take this, I am down. I like seeing what ya do and reading your stuff. Keep being awesome! ^-^
