Here's a thought experiment. Usually in fic the gang tends to be on board with rejanis... but who do you think would be the most believable objector? Who would run legit interference and why? And what would win that person over?

I may be able to be convinced that Cady would say something, but even then, I don’t think she’d run full interference. She’d mention that it’s a bad idea and either stay out of it or talk to Janis or Regina (whoever she’s around lol) through the rockier parts of getting together. More a shoulder to lean on than anything else.

But Damian. He has the most reason out of any of their friends to not want rejanis together. I touched on it a little in UIW when Regina came out to him, but Regina hurt his best friend, hurt him. Why would he ever want Janis dating her??? It’s pretty black and white for him, the fact that Regina is a bad person. And he knows that Janis has a weak spot for her, that her judgement isn’t quite right when it comes to Regina. Their history gums up Janis’ mind – she goes from one extreme to another with Regina, from hating her to being in love and back and forth.

He’d become a constant block for rejanis, interrupting their moments, dragging Janis away to do something else, and just doing whatever he could to stop them from getting close.

I think it’d take more than Regina changing and showing that she’s doing better. He’d be happy that she’s not a bitch anymore, but that doesn’t make her good enough or redeemed enough for his best friend. Regina would talk to him, have a very frank conversation about regret and change and her feelings for Janis, but it wouldn’t be enough. I think Janis would have to sit him down and be like ‘I know you think I’m making a mistake, but I want this relationship with Regina. I want to give it a shot, and I can’t do that with you constantly trying to protect me. If it turns out I am making a mistake, you can rub it in my face all you want, but it’s my mistake to make. Not yours.’

Even then, once he kind of steps back and lets it happen, I don’t think he’s fully on board until he sees how well Regina treats Janis and how happy they are together.

One of my biggest nitpicks in fiction concerns the feeding of babies. Mothers dying during/shortly after childbirth or the baby being separated form the mother shortly after birth is pretty common in fiction. It is/was also common enough in real life, which is why I think a lot of writers/readers don't think too hard about this. however. Historically, the only reason the vast majority of babies survived being separated from their mother was because there was at least one other woman around to breastfeed them. Before modern formula, yes, people did use other substitutes, but they were rarely, if ever, nutritionally sufficient.

Newborns can't eat adult food. They can't really survive on animal milk. If your story takes place in a world before/without formula, a baby separated from its mother is going to either be nursed by someone else, or starve.

It doesn't have to be a huge plot point, but idk at least don't explicitly describe the situation as excluding the possibility of a wetnurse. "The father or the great grandmother or the neighbor man or the older sibling took and raised the baby completely alone in a cave for a year." Nope. That baby is dead I'm sorry. "The baby was kidnapped shortly after birth by a wizard and hidden away in a secret tower" um quick question was the wizard lactating? "The mother refused to see or touch her child after birth so the baby was left to the care of the ailing grandfather" the grandfather who made the necessary arrangements with women in the neighborhood, right? right? OR THAT GREAT OFFENDER "A newborn baby was left on the doorstep and they brought it in and took care of it no issues" What Are You Going to Feed That Baby. Hello?

Like. It's not impossible, but arrangements are going to have to be made. There are some logistics.

I think it would be interesting if Damian succeeded. Like, fully convinces Janis it's a bad idea. And feels good about it. But then sees how sad they both are.

Hi sorry this took a bit I was Thinking about this.

Cause like...how does he fix this? what does he do with the guilt? What does he do every time he has to watch his best friend look at Regina so delicately before her gaze goes hard with this horrible sadness?

Does he parent trap them? Does he lock them in a room until the inevitable happens instead of shoving Janis behind himself just to keep Regina’s eyes off her?

(Those feelings, those instincts, dont go away just because he's forgiven Regina. That instant flinch at the sight of her before that fond warmth comes washing in. That acrid animal fear to freeze at the sight of a predator, even though that predator is friend and protector.) He loves Regina. There is a chasm that will always exist between them because of their past and Damina doesn't get it. He can't understand how Janis could ever bridge that gap.

But it isn't about him. And he made it about himself because he was so worried about his friend that he let it eclipse her happiness. And Damian has always wanted nothing but the best for Janis. (And in a funny way, Regina could be considered the best. She'd be insulted that Damian ever dared think otherwise.)

So, what? Does he swallow his pride and and tell Janis to go for it when all he wants is to pull her away to keep her safe?

He wants Janis to be happy.

Regina would make his best friend so happy he'd forget what she looked like sad.

Regina is the reason he knows what his best friend looks like sad.

He wants Janis to be happy.

He'll fix this. He has to.

So a lot of new shit dropped in the latest Minecraft update but obviously I only care about the pigs. Let's discuss breeds!

Starting off with the original pig just because— this little guy's probably a Landrace pig!

They're some of the most standard domestic pigs out there along with Yorkshires, but Yorkshires have perkier ears. Landrace pig ears lay flat much more similarly to our Minecraft pigs!

Next we have the warm pigs. These babies are probably Durocs!

Look how red and beautiful they are! There aren't many common red pigs, so it was really between these guys and Tamworths. Tamworths are an Irish breed, so they don't come from a particularly hot climate. Durocs however originated from Africa from what I researched!

And finally we have the cold pigs. These guys are most definitely Mangalicas!

These guys are like. One of the most prominent breeds with thick creamy hair to keep them warm. They're also Hungarian! They're also my favorite pig breed!!!!!

I was actually working on another (angst) version of this but you get the funny haha version first :3 Bee and Elita are giving Optimus a 10 minute window before they intervene (they’ve seen OP moping around and are hoping this will help him get some it out of his system.
