the moment it was announced that you were going to be a part of naruto and sasuke's team, you knew it would be difficult.

the click of the lock resonated throughout his ears and the door opened, revealing a woman draped in a black robe, her eyes lidded and back hunched. though, her lidded eyes immediately opened widely when she noticed who was standing in front of her.

that's right. sasuke, the man who found himself wandering to her home instead of his own, where his wife and child waited for him for three hundred and eighty nine days. sasuke, who wanted her specifically to tend to his wounds because she'd done so ever so carefully and thoroughly.

"hey, y/n." he winced, a certain wound on his body hurting more than the others.

"y-you're back, and you..." she looked at him up and down, reluctantly reaching out for him. "you're hurt... let me help you, please."

sasuke nodded his head, allowing himself to slightly fall into y/n's arms. she closed the door, dragging him down the dark corridors of her home and into the bathroom inside of her bedroom, placing the toilet seat down to give him somewhere to sit.

she turned the light on, both of them squinting from the brightness. y/n had only managed to get a small glimpse at his injures from only the porch light, but with it being so bright in her bathroom, she'd seen every cut, bruise, tatter and bloodstain on him.

she sighed softly, gently placing her hands on his shoulders to take his cape off.

"what were you even doing to get hurt this badly? and how could you let this happen? do you know who you are?"

"i was just coming back to the village and all of a sudden i got ambushed. i was tired, so—."

"don't let being tired be an excuse, uchiha. are you stupid?"

"no, i'm not. and i know who i am, by the way."

"so act like it. if you come to my house being hurt like this again, i'm only gonna hurt you worse. mentally and physically."

"i don't think i can get mentally hurt any more than this."

she smiled, reaching for any medical supplies she needed to help heal him.

it went silent for a moment, but she continued to tend to him in that silence.

"sasuke?" she called out. "is there something you need to talk about? is something going on with sakura?"

"not really. i'm just not ready to see her, i guess."

"and why's that?"

"we argued, but talked it out the day before i left. it's gonna be awkward and honestly, i don't really want her anymore."

she paused for a second, allowing his words to process in her mind. he didn't want sakura anymore, as in he didn't want to be with her? that was highly unexpected. she definitely wouldn't have seen that coming.

"uh..." she began. "i don't think you don't want her. you probably just needed time to yourself, and things will go back to normal after you go back to her and sarada. i think your stress is getting the best of you."

"yeah... you're probably right. i don't know what i'm thinking."

she smiled softly at him, the two falling silent after that. she tended to each and every one of his injuries, cleansing the open wounds and wrapping them up. he watched as her fingertips would lightly graze over his skin, every touch being so gentle and caring. it was nice. it was almost like she was pampering him, figuring out the spots that were sore and rubbing the pain away as best as she could, draping his contusions in bandages, stopping any cuts from bleeding and just rarely using her medical ninjutsu.

it was quite the opposite of what sakura did.

sure, sakura healed him, but she'd only use her medical ninjutsu. she would never pay so much attention to him like y/n did, wrapping his wounds carefully and treating them with ointment to assure he'd be more sturdy than before. maybe it was because sakura was tired of healing sasuke. after all, he was prone to injuries, even if they were just slight. he was one of the strongest, but never won a fight without having even a tiny little scratch on him.

"if you don't mind me asking, why exactly did you guys argue?" y/n questioned.

"well, that's inevitable." she muttered. "you're a busy guy. she should've thought about that before marrying you."

I love the writing style a bit because it makes it easier to read for me since it has big spaces each "paragraph"

Naruto Uzumaki

★ He found out after he got back from a mission in the land of waves, the atmosphere of the village was almost suffocating. When he heard what happened to you he felt like he couldn’t breathe, just like when Jiraiya died. ★

★ Naruto completely isolated himself from everyone, he could barely keep himself together. He didn’t feel like even his friends could help his grief. Everything felt so different without you around, his apartment was so quiet. ★

★ Everything remind him of you, he felt completely lost and alone, like nothing could quell the intense feelings he felt. He truly didn’t know what to do without you…★

Sasuke Uchiha

★ You had gone on a mission, you promised him you’d be back in a week tops but that didn’t happen, it and been a month by the time the news of your death got back to Konoha. At first, he wanted to deny it, you promised, you couldn’t be dead? Right…..? ★

★ Once the reality of the situation hit, he realized his worst fear as come true. The only person he truly loved and had left was gone and he was alone….again. Unlike Naruto his grief was hidden under the surface and he kept his stoic demeanor until one day he just cracked and broke down. He felt the same way he did when his family was murdered…★

★ There was a lot of guilt associated with your passing, he started to overthink everything about what went wrong, maybe you would’ve still been here if he had gone instead or even accompanied you. He went through every possible scenario and the guilt was eating him from the inside out. He wished he could’ve been there….. ★

Neji Hyuga

★ It was supposed to be him…not you. During the war when he stepped in front of the ten tails spears he braced himself to die and he accepted it, but when the feeling never came he turned and saw your back to him, you sacrificed yourself for him…. ★

★ Neji didn’t understand, why did this happen? It wasn’t supposed to happen this way! He watch as you collapsed to the ground, he was almost in disbelief with what happened. When he broke out of tunnel vision he ran over to you only to see you were already gone. ★

★ When ninja medics finally arrived, he didn’t want to let go of your body, his generally cool and stoic nature had been shattered and all he could do was whisper how much he loved you to your body. ★

🍙⋆ ★ You felt real bad, bad as in, it was a bit overwhelming to even get ready in the morning. 🍙⋆ ★ It was suffocating, at least, to you, and you thought that it might never end. 🍙⋆ ★ It was yet again, another restless morning. It was quiet. Yet, you felt uneasy still. Like, it was a good life, a mate that loved you, an okay life style, it was a dream for other omegas. 🍙⋆ ★ still, it felt like something was wrong. and it felt wrong to think that. staring into the bedsheets and scrunched blankets as you rose from the laying position you once were at. eyes narrowing into the wrinkles of the fabric under you. 🍙⋆ ★ was Sasuke on a mission again? maybe, what time was it even? you looked over the clock, eyes glazing over the numbers that seemed to shine out "11:42 AM." 🍙⋆ ★ silently, you got out of bed. doing your usual. brushing your hair, brushing your teeth, changing, washing your face. whatever. 🍙⋆ ★ rubbing your eyes as you were walking out the bathroom, soon bumping into a broad chest. the familiar scent of what seemed to be rainwood and a bit of smokey-comfort filled your nostrils. immediately easing yourself in every way. "hey." The familiar deep and subtle voice spoke, as you melted into his arms. your beloved mate caved his muscular arms around your wavering body. "hi." you replied, face muffled into the fabric of Sasuke's chest. taking another deep inhale of his natural scent. rainwood and smoke didn't seem like a perfect mixture, but sure as hell put you into any state of comfort. 🍙⋆ ★ Sasuke was a bit confused, moreover concerned why his omega was so tired. he smelt it in you, he saw it in you, it's been a bit dry how you were. and that wasn't good to the Uchiha. "are you okay?" he asked again, a bit unsure what to do. besides his primal instincts obviously telling him to help you, the alpha himself wasn't one for comforting. 🍙⋆ ★ and tbh, he felt more guilt because of that. "ya.." you replied flatly. letting out a small mewl when the Uchiha swept you up. 🍙⋆ ★ and with that, sasuke took you to your shared bedroom. placing you down gently onto the scrambled sheets that you dragged yourself out of earlier. it felt nice to be back. also made you think that you just got up and got ready for nothing. the alpha carefully shimmied next to you, the bed dipping as Sasuke moved closer to you. to which you caught him by surprise, immediately wrapping your body around him. the room mixing with both of your scents. 🍙⋆ ★ you already felt better. "oh.." he spoke gently, subtle dark eyes closing as he felt you immediately sniffing into his neck and shoulder. close to his scent glands. Sasuke felt a bit awkward since he was the one who suggested this cuddle session, yet you were taking the lead by a bunch. his arms wrapped around you again, soothing your tensed body into relaxation. your scent was perfect to him. he dipped his nose into your hair, taking a big whiff of satisfaction. the Uchiha was happy that he atleast made you feel better. he kissed gently at your forehead, to which you purred at. 🍙⋆ ★ this was truly, truly everything you could've asked for.
