this is jax (my main oc) :3 his full name is jackson but his friends just call him jax. he comes from a poc + low income background; his story is one of loss, love and perseverance. he's had a lot of strife in his life and as the central character in my tale, he experiences a lot of pain but from that pain comes immense growth and character.

maybe ill make a comic ? but ahh im bad at drawing consistently so for now all y'all will be getting is these meme drawings lol xD

theres a reason theyre mental illnesses/disorders -> because theyre debilitating and hinder our quality (and quantity) of life. real depression is not "oh im gonna ghost everyone because im sad", its literally feeling like youve got the weight of the entire universe tied to you like a heavy ball and chain that you cant take off; its feeling like you're the absolute worst person on the entire planet to the point that you self isolate and cant even bring yourself to take care of yourself (at worst). and this is not to 'gatekeep' or whatever tf people wanna call it now, im just saying it like it is as someone who has depression. if you get sad a few times a day, you do NOT have depression. im so sorry but you cannot self diagnose disorders you know jack shit about.

and this goes for bedrotting too.

people heavily started to glamourize bedrotting like it was a cool feature in life- dude, bedrotting is a result if debilitating depression. sometimes, people cant even bring themselves to get out of bed; sometimes people cant even brush their teeth, or shower, or clean after themselves- because they're barely hanging on.

and when people with actual depression talk about their experiences ppl think its 'cute' or some quirky thing like no babes, this shit actually kills people and i cannot just choose to turn it off.

this can also apply to social anxiety as well. i hate feeling embarrassed just because i find it difficult to talk to people but that does NOT mean i'm 'uwu shy' or some shit, i just find social interactions incredibly distressing to the point i have to rehearse dialogue in my head.

please stop romanticizing shit that hinders people who actually have it.

as soon as the internet decided depression and anxiety were the everyman mental illnesses and therefore not to be taken seriously we were all fucked tbh bc the fact that i have to feel embarrassed to admit i have debilitating anxiety because people will think im just an uwu dont call me out coward is ridiculous. its insane that i have to clarify that my depressive episodes are like life threatening and not whatever dipshit dumbed down idea of depression people seem to have like oh yeah i just wanna watch netflix and eat ice cream and not text people back. like bro i think im the devil

this is the difference between Hell's Kitchen and The Great British Bake-Off

I know that some British people take umbrage at Americans calling the Great British Bake Off relaxing, but it's just because GBBO is such a different kind of stressful from American baking shows.

American baking shows will be called something like "Cupcake Knife Fight", there's horror movie lighting everywhere and dramatic stings every 5 seconds. All of the contestants are shit talking each other and fist fighting over the one single deep fryer provided by production. It will show the judges all whispering to each other at their super villain table overlooking the whole kitchen, and one will be like, "Oh my god. Everyone look at Brenda right now. She's straight tanking it." And it will cut to Brenda, who is running around covered in flour and crying and also bleeding for some reason. Then you get a clip from an interview with one of the contestants, and they're like, "I really need to win this. Without this award money, I'm gonna need to close my restaurant, sell my dad, and live out of my car. AGAIN." Then the giant digital doomsday clock overhead lets out a horrid klaxon, the judges tell half of them that their cupcakes taste disgusting, and one of them gets eliminated and sent to walk down the dramatically-lit shame hallway never to be seen again.

Meanwhile GBBO is in a lovely, brightly colored tent, there are delightful and friendly hosts/jesters there to keep everyone entertained, and all of the B Roll is of like... a bumblebee going into a flower, or a lamb running in a field. And yes, there will be moments where someone will mess up their timing or something, and they'll be looking at their bake through the oven door like, "oh gosh I don't think this will rise in time!" Then they stand up to find Paul Hollywood directly behind them ominously. His creepy whitewalker eyes will glow white, and he'll say something like "the 12th of June. 2035. Drowning." And his eyes will go back to normal and he'll walk away. Then the baker gives a playful grimace to the camera and says "that didnt sound great, did it?". Cut to a sweet looking older woman sipping tea on a stool and she says "oo I do hope that Prue enjoys the taste of my sugary, sticky baps!". Then, at the end, someone gets a gold star for doing good, and the loser of the episode gets in the middle of a giant group hug. You see all of them at the end of the series at a giant carnival with their families and the post credits informs you that all of the contestants have become a Partridge Family-style traveling band and stayed friends forever.

introducingggg my oc yoiyami :)

yoiyami is fuyuki's (my other oc) older half-brother. he works overseas as a model and is fuyuki's biggest inspiration fashion-wise.

his design is largely based on vkei fashion and he isnt really a central character to the storyline, but he is a fun one :). i decided to make him an oc after noting how fun it'd be for fuyuki (who's part of gyaru culture)to have a brother who larger contrasts yet compliments her.

i think he's a fun character :3
