Ball/Sphere: Crystal that is shaped into a ball from a larger piece of crystal…quartz crystals rarely occurs naturally as a sphere. The Sphere is associated with Harmony, scrying, even energy all around.

Crystal Pyramid: Manifestation, intently focused energy. prosperity.

A crystal shaped like a pyramid, it has four equal triangular sides that meet to a point with a flat square base. It’s effective for amplifying energy. *Egyptian used the pyramids to send the pharaoh's soul straight to the gods. Crystal Generators and Obelisks are 2 shapes that are often confused with one another, just count the number of sides. A generator has six equal sides and an Obelisk has four. Generators, Obelisks and Pyramids are great shapes to direct/amplify energy. Better used in crystal grids, as it will amplify/boost energy. 

Crystal Wands: Healing and rituals, moving/directing energy.

Crystal wands have many uses, they can be used for massage therapy (eg a massage wand), acupressure and reflexology. They can also be used to direct energy in a certain direction, draw negative energy away from you and to activate crystal grids. Crystal wands can be used for chakra healing.

Crystal Eggs: Balance, Fertility, healing

The pointed end of an egg shaped crystal is often used by practitioners of acupressure, reflexology and massage. Similar to spheres, crystal eggs are a great shape to hold whilst meditating. Crystal eggs represent fertility, birth and new beginnings.

Cluster: A group of crystals growing together having many points and sharing the same base clusters rapidly radiate energy in all directions. The cluster radiates energy, meditation and unity.

Crystal Cube: consolidates energy, grounding and meditation, connects to the energy of the earth.

Tumbled: Gentle, constant energyRaw: Strong, Sporadic, pure energy.Double Terminated/Twin: Receives and emits energy transmits informationPalm: Grounding, healing, “Worry stone.”

Isis: Feminine energy, healing emotional, hurt and distress.Geode: Amplifies, conserves and releases energy, internal healing.

There are 219 Crystals [And I do not have the time or energy to go over ALL of them when we Wiccans can’t use/afford that many, and so we’ll only cover the basics/most used Crystals.

So other than Shapes that signify the ‘power’ of the crystal, what about a specific use? So here is a list of most common crystals that I have seen, that was recommended by other witches or popped up in my readings.

Be VERY careful with crystals. Not ALL of them can be in direct sunlight and not ALL can be placed in water. Some Crystals are sun/water types and if you need to charge them or use them make sure you know which is which!

Crystal Chip Set from Wish

I decided to be a little risky and bought a set of crystal chips on Wish for myself as a Yule gift. I'm happy to say, that the majority were the real deal and correctly labeled!

Included was Red coral, Obsidian, Rainbow Tourmaline, Howlite (labeled "white turquoise"), garnet, Rainbow moonstone (labeled "moon stone"), citrine, malachite, gold tiger's eye, rhodochrosite, amazonite, green aventurine, lapis lazuli, snowflake obsidian (labeled "alabaster"), ruby in zoisite (labeled just "zoisite"), aquamarine, amethyst, peach/red moonstone, grey moonstone, flourite, Goldstone (labeled "red aventurine"), blue Goldstone (labeled "blue aventurine"), epidote in prehnite (labeled just "prehnite"), sunstone, fire agate (labeled "southern agate"), topaz, olivine, ametrine, dalmation jasper, Kyanite, morganite, Botswana agate (labeled "moss agate"), azurlite, sugalite, rose quartz, quartz, strawberry quartz, turquoise (labeled "kallaite"), yellow jade, red jade, opalite (labeled "opal") black/gold/green rutilated quartz, and fukurokuju crystal (mix of what appears to be quartz, flourite, citrine, obsidian, and red and yellow jade)

The only ones that are "fake" are really just incorrectly labeled like the opalite and the snowflake obsidian. I'm fairly positive the strawberry quartz is natural and the turquoise is actually turquoise and not dyed howlite.

The green rutilated quartz might be dyed. I had never heard of it before and couldn't find much info on if it's natural or not online.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the set. The chips are perfect for use in spells and Spell jars and at less than a dollar/bottle ($42 with shipping) the price is pretty good too.

Bottles are about 2" tall and 1" diameter

☽Pet Healing Spell☾

Needed:

Dalmation Jasper stone

a candle (white or brown) and a candle holder

a tiny clipping of your pet’s fur or whisker(or a naturally shed part)

a pinch of cinnamon

a garnet(optional)

Place the whisker, hair clipping, etc. under the candle holder. Sprinkle a dash of cinnamon in the holder and insert the candle. Place the stone (or stones) next to the candle holder, visualize your need, and light the candle. Say whatever words you wish; let the candle burn out.

Sometimes staying motivated or having enough energy to get through all of your daily duties can be a challenge to say the least. There are so many reasons why we may not be feeling our best on any given day. Lack of sleep, busy schedules, weather, bad news, improper nutrition, the list goes on and on. So yes, we have coffee but what else might we add into our daily routines for that little extra push we sometimes need?

The beautiful energy of crystals could be just what you need to win the day. Keep reading to find out some of the best crystals to use and ways you can add them into your daily routine.

Harnessing the Energy of Crystals

Crystals all hold their own natural energy which differs depending on its origins. Every single one is special, unique and can be used to improve our lives and overall wellbeing.

Crystal healing is not new and they have been used for millennia for everything from bringing balance, to releasing negativity, and uplifting the spirit. And they have most definitely been having a shining moment in the spotlight over these past couple of years. Reaching for a crystal when you need a little assistance with something has become pretty normal practice.

And with good reason, connecting our own energies with these beautiful little gifts from the earth can brighten the mood, bring peace to the mind, and add a much needed dose of magic into our days.

That being said, crystals will not benefit every person in the same way or to the same extent.  I believe we must be connected to ourselves, the earth, and the stones in order to garner the best results. We must be mindful and spend time connecting within ourselves and getting to know the crystals energy. A post for another day perhaps. Today we’ll go through some of the best crystals you may like to keep on hand for when you are feeling tired, unmotivated, or simply want to get a particularly kick ass workout into your day. So let’s get into it.

The Best Crystals for Energy & Motivation

Here are 10 crystals I like best for days when the energy is low or the goal of productivity is high. These all carry properties that lend themselves well to fostering an internal energy flow that will have you feeling good and ready to tackle that to do list:

Aragonite – strength, balance, motivation, confidence

Bloodstone – motivation, confidence, courage

Carnelian – strength, happiness, motivation, energy, confidence

Citrine – inspiration, confidence, success, optimism, strength

Dalmation Jasper – clarity, energy, transformation, exercise

Garnet – motivation, power, prosperity

Green Kyanite – prosperity, motivation, growth, transformation

You could also do a crystal meditation to start the day, craft a crystal pouch or grid, or keep them in your spaces. There are so many options so experiment and see which ones work best for you.

It is also a good practice to enchant the crystal or perform a blessing and imbue the specific crystal with your intentions. This creates a connection to the stone letting it know your purpose and also allows your intention to be put out into the universe.
