well I have Roach brainrot rn for sure, which is a lot like oc brainrot tbh

I'm on team Roach Is A Small Towner lol I wound up planting his background in Navasota, TX, which is pretty small now and was smaller however many decades ago. beautiful place though. I also slapped tree farmer parents and a much (like 14ish years) younger brother on him to resent as a teen

my appearance hc is pretty clear here :) although I do need to draw him with a military crop. it's on the to-do list o7 I give him burn scars from an accident early in his military career and a healthy anxiety about fire, and the facial scars down his forehead that you see in fandom sometimes

speaking of military career! I give him an Army -> Rangers -> 141 route based on a one-off line in Soap's journal about the types who ended up as task force candidates. sometimes I see hcs that Roach is wildly young, but if he enlisted at 17-18 and follows a slightly (believably) accelerated path to becoming a Ranger, he'd be ~21 when he gets to that point, and would need at least 2-3 years (by my reckoning) to build a reputation strong enough to make Soap's short list and get to sergeant, that puts him at 23-24 in 2011 (when 141 was assembled) at the youngest. which is so young! but it's not 19 💀 it also puts him at 29-30 during the events of mw2 in 2016

what else have I been pondering. he is, of course, very difficult to kill. he smokes like a chimney and gets an oral fixation out of it, if he's not smoking he's chewing gum or hard candy or biting his nails or some such. perpetually leaning on the nearest surface. he's rough around the edges, kind of an abrasive personality, opinionated but has to be cracked open (or drunk) to spill those opinions

attack dog vibes, fiercely and unwaveringly loyal to Soap. interestingly, that doesn't extend very far to Price and his all means justify the ends approach. he and Soap gang up on bullying Ghost's accent and general Britishness, which he gladly reciprocates. he and Ghost want to study each other under a microscope. intrigue 👉👈

FAVORITE? I love slightly toxic power play. I also . really enjoy writing xeno apparently 💀 uhhh fighting as foreplay,,, I can't think of a trope/concise phrase for some of this stuff. breathplay with extra variables,,, d/s dynamics,,, man. kink is good and fun

Dude I got new characters for the dark time line and their from Desert Rangers of Lumière their like a 6 man squad and I have more lore about the Desert Rangers too.

1st we have:

Lucas Cooper, the squad leader

Rank: lieutenant

Aura color: Gold

Semblance: Dead Man's sight, when use time slows down and the world turns grey and seeing the weak spot of the target, this semblance can be use on groups( it's like dead eye in red dead redemption)

Bio: born in a ranching family in the sandy parts of Lumière he has a natural talent of shooting, at the age of 17 he joined the Desert Rangers, his leadership skills even rivals Jaune Arc's and also jaune's rival, his was assigned as leader of Team Bravo.

2nd we have:

Travis Walker, the Explosive expert

Bio: as a son of owner of small mining company in a town called dusty creek he has this love for explosive and loud booms, at the age of 17 the chief of the desert rangers caught wind his skills and offered him a spot in the demolitions division, later on he was assigned to as their explosive expert.

Semblance: Trailblazer's Touch, when used the user has control on the bullet and can see where it goes (like a predator missile from MW2 but it's a bullet).

Bio: As a of an hunter Wade was trained by his father at a very young age, he taught him how shoot a target 2 kilometres without a miss, at the age of 14 his father died by fight off bandits who raiding their homestead, he has no left he's mother died giving birth to him, his on his own, until the Desert Rangers took him in.

Bio: as a singer at a canteen and a daughter of wealthy man a at a big town that is part of Lumière called Sunburnt Flats, she hates the life of fame and fortune, she and her may have disagreements here and there but she ran away and joined the Desert Rangers anyway, there she meet lucas she fell in love with him the moment she saw him but she keep it a secret maybe someday she can confess to him, but anyway let's talk about her love story in the future, her sneaking skills along with how good she is with a knife and a revolver she maybe the most badass woman in the Desert Rangers, she ask permission to Chief Taylor to be assigned to team Bravo, Chief Taylor was hesitant but he could see in girls eyes and he agreed, later on she was assigned to Team Bravo as their infiltrator.

Their HQ is fort used by mantle forces during the great war, their HQ contains a command center, a underground holding cell, a garage, armory, a shooting range, training course and a med bay.

They maybe a different group of Rangers but they still answer to council.

Their rivalry with Ranger of Lumière, their rivalry is so bad they each other names like tree fuckers, sand rats, but their just two sides of the same coin, the other is just cowboy and the other is brooding edge lord.

My headcanon is US Army Rangers (he would have had to go through rangers school which is insane if you've never seen Rangers school btw) but airforce would be cool to! I could also see them making him a marine just to kinda take the place of some of those marines in the early games.

I've asked Anna this, i really wanna ask you too. I wonder what's the deal with Roze as in her bio it's stated she left military factions multiple times and now works for KorTac but before all that she was in Shadow Company. Also her Blackout outfit has a crest on it that looks like a mix between TF 141 and SC, do you think she knows TF 141? Or it's just her own little crest because she's supposed to be a mercenary right?

Roze was in the rangers first before anything but left because her father was ill. Then I just either he died or was in better health, so Roze went back into the military. This time with Jackals, though, thanks to Mace. I'm guessing either her position got filled while she was gone, or she just didn't care to work for them anymore. However, then she went to Shadow Company. My guess is that Shepherd had heard of her and wanted her on his team. To me, Roze kinda just does whatever they tell her to. She's trying to get money, and she's not letting her morals get in the way. I mean, she's in Shadow Company, and our first introduction was her blowing up the stadium. Also, her bio doesn't say anything about her getting upset at an order when she was Ranger, like Mace.

I think she's KorTac now because she didn't want to deal with Graves. She wasn't going to take orders from him because she fucking hates him. Like he was annoying to her. Also, I think she likes change when it comes to work. She doesn't want to be doing the sake shit every time. Also, she was really popular in MW19, and CoD had to come up with a reason why she's in MW2. Cause there is no one's in Shadow Company in the ops

She definitely knows of Task Force 141 but doesn't give a shit about them. Like she supposed to because Shepherd cares, but she can't care. I think she's focused on doing her own thing. Also, CoD could have just reused textures. They do that a lot with tattoos, so I can see them doing it with patches. I wouldn't say mercenary, though, because she's definitely involved in a lot more than I think a mercenary would be.

You can't tell me infinity ward didn't up the fanservice to the max with mw2. They gave ghost a dumptruck, gave könig a massive bulge, they made the default specgru ranger a skin with a compression shirt where if you look carefully you can find a nipple poking through.

4. what was the last straw that made you finally block that annoying person?

I've blocked so many people, but two stand out to me. One was a blog dedicated to sharing other people's COD headcanons, but all of the headcanons were so unhinged and made no sense. It was genuinely pissing me off seeing them on my "for you" tab (that tab is hell btw), so I blocked them even if I had no personal beef with them. Another was someone who was just posting endless, multiple smut fics of König every day. I just could not. König fics in general are excessively dark and strangely animalistic and I just hate seeing so much of it.

16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

Ok I could write a book answering this question. First, I don't get the trope of Price f*cking his subordinate(s) (and usually very violently/grotesquely) out of nowhere or like "in his office"?? Not an accurate characterization of him and also like... what the fuck, that's very strange. On that note, also any fic that's like "they were in the middle of hiding from an army in the middle of nowhere and [character] and reader started fucking." Like, bffr. No one's gonna do that shit. A trope I also don't understand is the professor x student trope. It makes me want to rip my face off. I'm actually a postgraduate student and sexual harassment is rampant in academia, especially with professors preying on vulnerable master's and doctoral students. And I see a lot of people place Price as the professor and a reader or an OC as a student and I am so nauseous just thinking about it. That imbalance of power in both scenarios is just something I will never be okay with. Also I ranted about this before, but I don't understand the Shepherd/Adler being Graves's biological father headcanon. Doesn't make any sense. The timelines don't add up and there's nothing connecting these characters in that way. And as a bonus, I don't understand any of the characterizations for König that this fandom comes up with because who even is he.

22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores

Especially from playing "All Ghillied Up" in the original series, I really wish more people thought about Price's younger days with Captain MacMillan. I wish more people explored that relationship, and Price's earlier history and how came to be who he is as a captain. But I also hope they don't because fans on tumblr will probably end up sexualizing their relationship somehow. Similar to how everyone ignores Roach in the original series, it kind of makes me sad how all the Army Rangers from the original series got completely forgotten by (some) fans and by Activision. The gameplay with Ramirez in MW2 was some of the best and most emotionally tense, at least for me, and I always enjoyed his interactions with Corporal Dunn and even Sgt. Foley screaming his name every 4 seconds. I also wish more people talked about Farah and Price's relationship more (!!). She hardly appears in fics/art (at least not the ones I've seen) even though she was in most of MW19—with two missions dedicated to her past—and appeared in MWII. I'm pretty sure it's because most people are only interested in the men they're physically attracted to in this fandom, smh.

-Ryan Scott:

A young Private in Foley's Rangers during MW2, Ryan is a young buck eager to please his superiors, although he tries to be a good soldier, it makes him come off as a too much of a try hard, but Foley sees nothing but potential in the boy.

-Rozalija Primozic:

Born in Slovenia and a nurse in the Red Cross, Rozalija was recruited by Adler shortly after Bell was put under MK-Ultra. Her medical skills have helped the team out of many scrapes and prevented them from dying from a stupid injury or two.

-Alice McGrath:

An SAS sniper and member of Task Force 141, Alice is a dedicated soldier and a certified tough cookie, and while she won't admit it, she most certainly cares for the rest of the team as a family of sort. Her nickname is "Bones" which originated from her old instructor calling her that after she broke her arm in basic training.

-Ava Svobodová:

A civilian living in a small village in the Czech Republic, Ava's life was turned upside down when the Russians took over her home during the Third World War. Her husband and others were mercilessly shot by the Russians for speaking out, leaving her just her and her six year old son Tomas with only a memory of him. In Code of Honor (my fic) she helps Ghost and Roach survive after they barely escape Shepherd's betrayal.
