hello, this is only a suggestion about something you could write someday only if you like it. I'm really curious about this: imagine toby has a s/o before becoming a proxy, so how would he behave after his disappearance? do you think he would stalk them? maybe he would plan some kind of encounter or get caught stalking them (if so, how it would happen)? idk, i recently found your blog and I just love your Toby and I was wondering what your headcannons could be on this scenario.

we’ll meet again, don’t know where, don’t know when. but i know we’ll meet again some sunny day.

AN: my bad if this kinda sucks, im not used to writing prompts like this also i wrote this in point form, but if you’d like a oneshot instead let me know 🙏

- i cant imagine toby having the emotional capacity or social skills for a proper relationship prior to becoming a proxy, though i can see him having something of an unspoken mutual love with a childhood friend

- but once he lost lyra, he isolated himself so heavily from everyone and everything, which ended up with him pushing away the only person who treated him like a human being

- a couple of years had passed until he saw them again, and when he did, he couldn’t catch his breath. it happened completely by chance. to be honest, dealing with everything he did, and with the effects of slender sickness, their existence completely slipped his mind until that fateful night.

- it was late, and dark, they were walking home from a particularly rough shift and toby caught a glimpse of them from his spot standing under the flickering streetlight.

- he almost yelled out after them when it processed in his brain where he recognized that face and stride from. once it clicked, toby took a moment before moving from his spot. he needed distance to be able to follow them home without being caught.

- when they approached their dimly lit condo, they fumbled with the key to the front door for a moment. taking the opportunity, toby quietly snuck up behind them and snaked his hands around their waist.

- “found you”

- their first reaction was to spin around and clock him in the face, and of course their fist bounced off like nothing. he didn’t flinch, he even chuckled a bit.

- when they saw his face, they gasped.

- “i thought you died in the fire???”

- “yeaah about that…”

- from that point on, toby would sneak into town just to visit them. he would rarely enter through the front door, he much preferred to enter through the bedroom window his old friend made a note to keep unlocked. it was what he was used to. he was a peculiar boy grown up to be an even more peculiar man.

- but they continued with each other as if there was no time apart. like a missing puzzle piece finally finding its way home. his lost friend would question him, but learned quickly it got absolutely nowhere. asking him was futile. they knew better.

- toby would come to them, they weren’t ever allowed to know where he was, or what he did when he was away.

- they were kept under lock and key. his secret. prized possession.

- on particularly bad days, he would show up to their place and just silently lay in bed with them, allowing his prize to run their fingers through his messy brown hair and let the chaos of the outside, and his job, slip away for a moment.

- the light in his otherwise dark and twisted world. a part of him was so scared of getting them hurt, or even worse hurting them himself.

- but he was still the same unstable, angry boy he always was. and though he tried, he wasn’t cut out for being a good partner to his long lost. there would be fights, threats, hatchet marks on the walls and doors.

- they would learn soon that he wasnt the same boy he was.

- toby could never really shake the feeling that his lover only looked at him with eyes that screamed ‘what have you done?’

- if they ran away, he would kill them. or keep them locked up in an abandoned cabin off somewhere in the forest for the rest of their miserable life.

- and if they chose to stay, they would have to spend all their time and energy being disrespected and drained. there was no fixing things. he wasnt a kid that meant well anymore, he wasnt a victim. whether they knew it or not, he was a cold blooded serial killer.

🤓 - What is/was your HF oc like during high school? Were they considered cool, or just another nerdy prude? Did/do they have any teachers they were particularly fond of? Any notable clubs they were in?

Neptune is considered a nerd, yes, but he's considered a SCARY NERD. Generally, people just get the strangest fucking vibes from him, and naturally most people tend to give them a very wide berth. It's even enough to convince Max to stay as far away from that weird, lanky blue haired freak with the eyes that bore into his soul.

He's generally fond of any teacher that teaches the art, theatre (obviously), or English classes, but hy's particularly fond of @awigglycultist's OC, Mr. David Anderson, which is one of the few reasons why he pays attention during history class.

A solid 11/10! They absolutely love living in hymns weird, fucked up hometown that's just as freaky as he is.

🌁 - Does your HF oc have any kind of reputation around town? Have they ever been the subject of townie gossip, or the center of a well-known town story, ala “Becky Barnes climbed a tree and stayed there for two days”?

Besides the literal cult they founded? Besides the fact that hy routinely gets pulled out of class by the fucking US MILITARY (because PEIP wants to make sure his little cult isn't going to try anything too drastic)? Well, once when they were, like, ten years old, hy sank his teeth into Max Jagerman's arm and DIDN'T. LET. GO. They literally had to be pried off by three different adults, leaving Max with a few nasty marks that looked suspiciously like fang marks. This was before Neptune transitioned, so Max hasn't yet realized that the weird, scary nerd with that horribly threatening aura is the same as the little girl that left him with scars he still carries to this day. Still, that vague similarity is enough to make him not want to touch Neptune with a ten foot pole.

🪓 I feel like he would have most likely found yourself in a little box or crate in a forgotten place, most likely because your parents didn’t want to take care of you and were careless enough to just dump you where they thought no one would find you.

🪓 Originally, bob was gonna eat you. He didn’t really have a soft spot for children, he really never liked or cared for them. All he cared for was his appetite. The voices in his head seeming to make his head ache out of starvation for long pig.

🪓 but fate had changed his plans. You giggled out of enlightenment as bob picked you up, putting your small hand atop of his large one. His eyes softened, as if seeing more than food.

🪓 he ended up keeping you, though he didn’t KNOW how to ‘parent’. This was very much of a struggle for him, seeing as he was new to this, and he didn’t really have reliable and kind parents when growing up. Plus, he didn’t really have any ‘baby stuff’

🪓 To keep you out of trouble and misfit, he made a fort of thin small blankets, and torn cushions from old couches that were lying about in the rotting living room. Don’t worry he made sure to check for unwanted pest living amongst the wool and fabric, he made sure to wash it too! Well. . He got it to be as it can be. He’s trying.

🪓 As for baby formula and nappies and other baby products, he’d usually go out to steal from other people. Though, he’d take you with him, and he would often try to stop you from crying or giggling, or making noise period. I mean you wouldn’t leave you child in the woods, by themselves in a rotting building filled with all types of knives and such. Would you?

🪓 growing up with a cannibalistic butcher was not all bad as it would seem. he made everything as neat as could be, and spoiled you a lot. He also taught you right from wrong! Well. . He kinda switched up the rights and wrongs, he IS a serial killer.

It probably won't lead to anything, but today, I felt a tiny bit of crafty inspiration. Last year at our towns fall festival, I bought some weird, or interesting old cookie cutters, and have had them in a bag by my chair, since. Well, some of the cats are very interested, and have dragged the bag out. My mom came in the room, and found the elephant cutter on the floor, semi squished. I fixed it back into place, and set it on my table...then I thought, maybe I can use these in some crafty way? I'm thinking clay cut outs with them, then decorating them, maybe making necklaces or something?

🪼: what would your character do if they were stranded at sea or trapped underwater with monsters? (it could be sea gods, merpeople, sirens, etc.) or maybe they’re stuck in a coastal town where they’re sacrificing people to the sea. what do they do? / i'm going to try my best with this one, because none of them would be able to handle anything coastal (maybe theo and eli, definitely not the twins). eli would probably be the only one capable of surviving against anything that isn't sirens (because he would fucking die to them), very much final girl status with him. dorothea and henry would survive purely because they wouldn't be caught dead in the water, they would be there at the beginning, realise shit is happening, and fucking leave like smart people. mayumi would either be the first to die or be the creature killing people because that's just fitting. theo,,, i have no idea? he would either die to save eli or get seriously injured that he somehow lives and gets carried off into ambulance before the credits roll. 🪓: does your character have an axe to grind? a need for bloody vengeance against someone who wronged them? why? / ah, this question fits mayumi perfectly. woman gets murdered by nathaniel ashford and stuck in the living world as a ghost because she's unable to move on. why? she doesn't know, she just wants justice/revenge and it's theo who theorises that she won't pass on until she gets just that (i will not be confirming or denying if that is). so she drags theo into it all, when all theo wants to do is just anything but that (yes, he feels guilty but he's used to just ignoring the shit his brother does), and with it, she eventually gets eli, henry and dorothea involved, mainly because she knows they'll do a better job than theo on his own. admittedly, mayumi barely does anything outside of watching on thanks to the limitations of being dead, she can interact with objects, but not harm people, something she learned the hard way after she spent over an hour trying to kill nathaniel in various ways before going to theo. but everything that does happen, whether good or bad, happens for her. 💀: is your character afraid of dying? if so, how far would they go to cheat death? / mayumi is terrified when she's dying that she focuses on the fact that theo is there basically holding her for most of it, especially because it begins slow before nathaniel steps in, and i think in a different universe, someone would take pity on her and let her live once again, but in cursed bodies, she's just a ghost. henry's interesting because i could never imagine him dying brutally like anyone else. i can't explain it, but he would most certainly die in a way that allows him to accept that it's happening therefore, he wouldn't fear death nor go to cheat it. this is kind of the same with dorothea. while both do things that would get them killed to keep them silent, somehow they would live until they're old and just die in their sleep or something like that. no need to fear death or cheat. eli, he would hands down be the kind of character who would cheat death in any way that he would. he kinda has a death wish in the way that he's just annoying that someone would be bound to just shoot him in the head and somehow he would walk away from it. it would be a klaus hargreeves situation from umbrella academy where he dodges death to the point where death would hate him for it and try to kill him themself.

My house still has the same paint on the walls it had when we moved in two years ago. I desperately want to redecorate, we still have shit boxed away in the basement. The house is a hodgepodge of ikea furniture and no real theme. I need to get my shit together 😂

I had two. The first I was in until I was 8. It had a pool, and a really dope basement I can remember playing in a lot. It was a great neighborhood to grow up in, until it wasn’t, so my family moved into a new house in a better area. My parents still live in that new house. My niece now lives in my old bedroom. It has a huge back yard and I made a lot of my best memories in that house. Threw a lot of parties there when my parents would go out of town 🤣
