They're not as forthcoming as Casey, and I imagine that even after the war is won and the apocalypse is therefore prevented, that initial hostility would fade! … but instead it’d become … kind of awkward? They don't hate Leo, it's just. 

Not the Leo they know.

Not the Leo they know and love and miss and mourn and glory to be, they’ve got their work cut out for them.



Reader is still coping with the loss of everything. the breathing techniques alongside Master Michelangelo's high EQ teachings on handling emotions help a lot more than they'd expected.

This all boils down to Reader and how they re-evaluate (rebuild?) their relationship with Leo. The Leo in THIS timeline that they helped save. How they heal from their wounds, inside and out, and try to make the best of what they’ve got. Because if the future taught them one thing: it was that no matter what, you've gotta keep going. Don't give up.

When Leo was finally released from the Escape Pod and everyone took in how haggard he looked— pale, shaking, horrified at what he just witnessed,

When he snapped and lunged at Casey, 

Reader’s reaction was swifter than a bullet. 

They swept in front of their brother, effectively and terrifyingly going toe-to-toe, snout-to-nose with this Leo, snarling out a bite of their barely-concealed rage. Their eyes are slits, their teeth are fangs poised to strike, and the venom is promised.

They’re just as dangerous as him at that moment.

The threat goes unsaid: Back. Off.

Their heart is racing like crazy, alarm bells ringing in their head and frustrated tears build up in their eyes. They're swimming— no. Drowning in confusion. In feelings. In dread. In nausea. In grief.

They didn't care what iteration of Leo this was or what they'd ever face: the image of Papa, whatever version it was, even thinking of bringing harm to Casey was enough to send them teetering over the edge.

Time travel. Alien invasion. From “Apocalypse Is The Norm” to “You Can Stop This Hellscape From Ever Happening BUT You Wipe Out Everything You've Ever Known Along With it.”

Reader quickly realizing that, amongst their simmering anger, there was a kind of fear. Not just the impending sense of anxiety at everything that was happening around them, but this was familiar.

Papa had never been an inherently volatile person (turtle? snrt), but he was a Leader.

His very presence demanded respect. 9.∞ times outta 10, he got it.

Despite the image of their beloved dad momentarily crumbling within meeting his younger counterpart, Reader can’t help but cling to that familiarity.

The familiarity of that intimidation – that regard – in Leonardo. 

He was pissed, that’s for sure. And Reader was actually kind of scared. Their Papa never was a violent person per se, but he’s had his moments. 

It was kind of uncanny, seeing the young shards of those traits come to be. To see this young Leo, with so much ahead of him, slowly but surely become the man you knew and was raised by. 

In spite of yourself, you could feel that same reverence and respect bloom in your chest. It hurt too, because it felt like it was for the wrong reasons. 

Yet, you digress.

Besides, you were never one to hold fast to grudges – it was poisonous. And despite feeling like you were being poisoned slowly, in to out, you knew it’d pass. 

It was along the lines of something Uncle Mikey had told you once ...

“What a caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.' Never forget, sunshine. Even when it feels like your world is ending, and you're caught right in the midst of it all?

So. You watched Leo out of the corner of your eyes. Listened to Junior as he sparkled and praised your young uncles, telling them the truth of their characters in your timeline.

You tried to settle the war within yourself. How would you fight both at once? Not when there was an entire one unfolding right in front of your very eyes.

You are 100% percent correct about all of that.

Firstly, when April manages to knock both of you out and drag you back to the Lair,

Casey is much more open, and excited.

You're treating them as a potential threat.

I'm talking resting bitch face, broski.

Sure, in the future, these people raised you, but this isn't the future.

So you glare and let CJ do the talking, because at the moment your still processing,

And your anger could lash out at anyone in this room.

When Leo turns on Casey, your reaction was like second nature.

You had alot of moments during the apocolypse where if you took to long to assess the threat, you were dead.

So when Leo lunged at Casey, and your mind locked him in as a threat,

Those familiar instincts of, "Danger: protect family" kicked in.

Weapon drawn, teeth beared, you looked more feral than Leo,

But you were scared too.

You were so fucking scared.

You knew this wasn't your papa,

You knew that.

But to see his younger counter part so angry, so ready to be violent was terrifying.

You'd only ever seen your papa angry and violent one time in your life.

It happened when you had to drag Casey back to base, half dead and yourself much worse for wear.

You'll never forget the violence that shone in his eyes at the sight of his children.

One unconcious and bleeding,

The other hardly able to stand.

You have no idea what happened to the officer that sent you and Casey out,

But he wasn't seen around much after that, most said he was demoted to work in the more... laboring parts of the base.

Looking into Leo's eyes at this moment, you see a very similar violence to that day,

But what scares you is that violence is now directed at your brother.

After Casey explains none of this happened in your guys' time,

Leo shoved past you, and had his little, "We're going because I say so" moment.

You were beyond pissed.

Here was his team, telling him to wait,

To hold on a second, to come up with a plan,

And he was just- ignoring them.

But, you kept silent and followed Casey when he left with Leo,

You'd be damned if you left your brother alone with this idiot.

In the turtle tank, while Casey practically sings his praises, you can't help the scowl that builds on your face.

Casey kept using present tense, "You are.", and, "you were" in Donnie's case,

He just couldn't seem to grasp that this wasn't your family, future tense should be used.

Not past, not present, future.

Because he's not technically wrong,

But it still rubs you the wrong way for him to compare your Papa, to this guy.

In the subway tunnels, you get seperated from Casey, you end up with Donnie and Mikey.

Mikey had to physically pull you into the tank kicking and screaming.

You needed to be next to your brother.

You had always been right beside each other your whole lives,

You were terrified.

When you were in that tank, and it was on the verge of crumbling, you started having flashbacks of the time Kraang had attacked your first home.

You were so small, just a little kid waiting for Papa to come find you.

You were on the verge of sobbing as you desperatly tried getting ahold of Casey.

Skipping ahead to the end of the movie,

You didn't wanna let go of Casey's hand.

It's odd, knowing that you don't need to see what's lurking in every corner,

Because there's nothing there anymore.

You don't have to be scared.

That's when you notice the shimmer of something clipped to your boot.

Looking down, you see a blue, star shaped hair clip.

How it had managed to stay on your boot this entire time was a mystery,

But what was less of a mystery was how it got there.

You knew your papa had placed it there.

You grabbed the hair clip of your boot, tears welled in your eyes,

Then you let out a choked sob.

You clutched the hair pin so tightly you might draw blood, and you sobbed and sobbed.

It was like all your emotions poured out at once, you didn't even know which one you were feeling.

It was a mix of grief, sadness, anger, and anguish.

Casey pulled you close, muttering how proud he was of you, you'd done so well.

"Sensei would be proud." he said, "Papa would be proud of you."

You clung to your brother like he was your life line, because in a way he was.

He was all you had left of your life before.

Post-movie, you're awkward around Leo to say the least.

During the movie, you were angry with him, mostly because of the paralelles between him and Master Leonardo.

But post-movie it's just awkward,

You can't look at him without being reminded of the father figure you lost.

All you wanted was for your papa to hold you,

To sing you to sleep like he used to do to hide the sounds of the monsters lurking above.

You just want your papa- no, you need your papa.

You need to hear his voice again, sure, technically you hear it every day but it's not the same!

You need to hear him.

You've taken to replaying audio recordings through your own mask.

Laying in your bed late into the night, replaying the same video's until your papa's voice lulls you into an uneasy sleep...

okay so these were what van (writer of trying and balancing) told me. pls nobody like @ him or post about this on twitter or anything he did me such a favor and he is hella busy now. can share on tumblr ofc!

1. as mentioned before, mac is about 2 yrs old at last scene of the show

2. jake goes back to work with rosa as a pi sometime later once mac is older and amy tells him mac will be okay

3. all the couples (jake and amy, holt and kevin, terry and sharon) will stay happily married to each other for the rest of their lives after the finale. charles and genevieve however might break up (wasn't clear why besides charles love life being messy)

4. that said, jake and amy have a little rough patch after the finale bc jake is worried that teddy was better romantically or better sexually, although he never admits those fears to amy. the worries naturally go away though. because teddy wasn't better romantically and wasn't better sexually and like obviously amy doesn't want to be with teddy in any romantic or sexual way, hasn't ever during the rest of her life after season 2 been with him in any of those ways, has no feelings for teddy, doesn't wish she had ended up with teddy or that jake were gone so she could be with him, doesn't think teddy would be a better father. jake is irreplaceable to her, so on and so forth. all of the things we as audience (and amy) know are facts but jake needs time to remember bc he has a lot of worries after the heist traumatized him and is unwilling to just ask amy for reassurance.

5. mac will grow up to be smart like amy and handsome like jake. probably good jake is the stay at home bc amy might be just a tad TOO attentive

6. obvious things like jake and amy are the love of each other's lives and the best sex of each other's lives. as are holt and kevin. so on and so forth.

7. holt eventually does retire and writes a memoir that jake begs him not to publish bc holt has a "no sentence longer than 7 words rule" and it is painful to read

8. amy becomes deputy commish of that department of reform when holt retires naturally. didn't opine on how succcessful reform is bc the show tried hard not to be like wish fulfillment, but said amy and holt do the best they can

9. rosa continues to bring fake partners around to fuck with gullible amy

10. terry finally gets that vasectomy

ah, you have The Affliction!

I know this one, you should decide what it is you desire and then want it harder. Only in the present tense, of course, to avoid trapping yourself with the brass ring ever in view but out of reach. Take care you don’t speak your dreams aloud, for the devil may hear you and steal away your resolve, so you fall short of your goal. Actually you should talk through your plans with people, a second mind can often help discern what’s realistic, and they can help hold you accountable.

You should make a list. The list should go into these four quadrants. Actually this other set of quadrants. Actually don’t order it, just use different types of dots and dashes to indicate what’s what. Really, what you should do is buy another new notebook- the standard size is linked here we get a small commish if you click- and a new pack of pens. And probably some washi tape as well- you deserve a little treat.

This is the system for you. Or maybe it’s filling your calendar in color coded blocks of time until each day looks like a scarf. Or maybe it’s morning pages.

Don’t keep your phone by your bed. Don’t have any clocks or windows facing you if you want to remember your dreams. Don’t sleep like that you’ll hurt your back. Don’t forget to take your evening meds an hour before bedtime. Sleep with an eye mask and ocean waves. Sleep with potatoes in your socks to naturally free yourself from toxins. Sleep in silence, three feet above the covers.

If it takes five minutes, just do it now. If you have something you need to get done you need to just start immediately and work continuously until you’re done. Use a timer and take breaks every 25 minutes. Body doubling with someone else who is working is best. If you can’t self motivate you’re a failure, actually, so hot that down. Just don’t do the things which suck you out of the flow of time, dropping you unceremoniously into three AM, again.

I know your pain keeps you up at night and makes it hard to even move the ways you normally do, but have you tried exercising? Could you try more? Just live right in all areas first, then we can look into handling your pain.

Oh the lack of sleep is impacting your cognition- have you considered melatonin? You’re already taking it nightly? How much? Hm. Well, have you considered exercise? That could leave you tired out enough to overcome the insomnia!

Why didn’t you ask for help sooner? Why do you have to talk everything to death? Why are you so prickly with people just trying to help you?

How long do you think you can rely on your wit and aging charms to win you just enough luck? How are you so good at helping others at the very things you are not doing for yourself? How are you going to fare in the field if this is how you weather the training?

League Of Leagues🏈🏉 Recap (Week 14 Fallout For The Playoffs Edition)

The final week of the season came and went. What was the fallout? Who got eliminated? Who made the playoffs? Who clinched a bye?

So many questions. In the Core 4 Leagues, here is a quick synapses of each player:

Taurean

The homie T managed to make 3 out of 4 playoffs. Out of the Core 4️⃣, he managed to miss out in his own ILL FL league (the dreaded Commish Curse 💀) Oddly enough, he placed in the wildcard standings in the other three Core 4️⃣ leagues. He also made the playoffs in one of the random leagues - Fantrax. He lost his bye week standings at the end after dominating but still, definitely his best league result of all his leagues. Side note, he is the only playoff team in any of the core to make it sub .500 (6-8 in ESPN). Another neat tidbit, he is in 5th place both in Yahoo AND Sleeper. He lost his sociology league he mentions time from time🥴

Johnny

The Birthday 🎂 Boy got an added gift out of the weekend (on top of the amazing RedZone / Bday gathering at the Williams household) by finishing all of his leagues both Core 4️⃣ & Randoms no less than 7-7. Johnny managed to clinch in Yahoo a week prior, avoid the commish curse in his league, win in a playoff spot by eliminating his own wife to sneak in the Sleeper league (sorry babe), and by luck and PF difference of less than 30 points in NFL. Killed it in fleaflicker as the top seed looking to win there for Bragging Rights. Also made in Fantrax for what its worth. Will the consecutive appearance in a superbowl (in at least one league) continue?

Jermaine

Can we get a hand clap for Jermaine. Lowering the depths in the NFL league, not only did he hover in obscurity for the longest....he jumped up the final weeks to earn himself a bye! If that wasn't enough, he avoid the commish curse by coming from last place to sneak in as a wildcard 😳 in Yahoo. He may have only netted half of the Core Leagues, but how he came back to win was nothing but astonishing. Another pat on the back to Jermaine for being the only L.O.L member to make the playoffs in CBS. The challenge league to see who could ever win on that platform...good luck!

Laura

She too netted only half of the Core 4 league playoffs. She nearly got 3 but got defeated by her own hubby and lost the tie break to Taurean in her own league. Yet another Commish to fall into the curse (albeit barely). If there's any consolation, she finished with a non losing record 7-7. Yahoo was too far out of reach but the bye week in NFL wasn't. Laura ended up the #1 seed in the ILL FL. She also made the playoffs in ESPN as the 3rd seed. More impressive, she made the playoffs in her 1st season in Fantrax after a really terrible start.

Carla

Carla made out better this year getting into 75% of the Core4️⃣ league playoffs. She may have missed the postseason in her hubby's Yahoo Cash League, but she did make it along with man in NFL. A low key goal for her to get the playoffs this season and finally have a shot to bring the Trophy 🏆 back to the Williams household. Sleeper is usually a slam dunk for her in recent years but could this be the year she wins it all? One thing is for sure, Carla rose up thru some fierce competition by handily getting the top seed in ESPN. She was the only team to have double digit wins in the N.erdy F.ootball L.eague this year.

Ricky

Slick did not make any of the Core4️⃣ playoffs unfortunately. The closest was NFL where literally a tie break in points was the only reason he didn't make it (a difference of 21 points only). He did finish with a non losing record in that league with 7-7. He just missed the playoffs in Yahoo as well with an outside looking in view - this still with a sub .500 (6-8) record. In the cash league, it was a difference in win totals as Jermaine has 7 and slick had 6. Ricky even had more PF than Jermaine. Tough getting so close in 7th in two leagues...almost in. Some newer leagues make the final 6th wildcard a matter of most points scored out of remaining teams (and yes Slick I already read up on that rule some newer leagues adopted - not sure to implement but thinking on it )🤔 After finishing last in ESPN and wanting the bling, he will have extra motivation going into next year. Thankfully he didn't finish last in Sleeper at least. Maybe another "3k'' league can make up for the losses in these 🤫

Demetri

Demetri got 50% of his playoff race won (he's only in two of the Core4️⃣leagues). He have fell to last place in Yahoo, but he had more points than all of the teams NOT in the playoff 🤯 (with exception to Slick who was in 7th outside looking in). Weird. It came down to wins & losses in that scenario of elimination. ILL FL was another story. Demetri steadily climbed the ranks to make the playoffs as a 4th seed. Someone is looking to get thier trophy back 👀

Delmar

Delmar did not participate in the NFL league but did make a run of it in the other three Core leagues. Delmar gotn2 out of 3. Not shabby good sir 👌 IN ESPN he almost hada shot but a late season meltdown put him out of the running early. Sleeper was truly that. Delmar not only made the playoffs there, he earned a first round bye! He also got 3rd seeding in yahoo. Proud turnaround for Delmar doing so well for the most part all year in each league. Is Delmar the team nobody expects to win? Stranger Things Have Happened...

Matt

He is human 🧐 ...Matt was bounced out ofnthe NFL league in the last week of the season with a hail Mary chance. For a player so dominate, its a shock to others. Understandable. He did have the highest win total of any L.O.L member out of all leagues with a 11 win season in Sleeper. Of course, good enough for the top seed in that league. Matt laying the Smackdown in the NFL Smackdown league.

Oliver

Sort of an outside member, Oliver participated in all Core4️⃣ Leagues. Last years NFL winner. Oliver has won 1st in all leagues thus far but this year was a stumble backwards. The current trophy bearer lost in NFL. Sleeper he won the year prior to last - last place this year. Yahoo money train fell short for him as well. The closest he came to sneaking in was ESPN but got 7th looking in fron the outside due to a tie break 😔 Well, there is always next year.

Random Notes:

Peter made it back in the ESPN playoffs, looking to reclaim his dominance he once had back from Matt. Will he win a 4th 💍?

Juan finally made the playoffs in Sleeper after much trouble. This has been his pattern but this year he is at least in as a wildcard after beating out the commish (Lady Laura) do to a tiebreaker in points

The homie Big Rich participated in the defacto Random League FLEAFLICKER and got in as a wildcard. Both Laura and Taurean were eliminated in that league but Jermaine got in & Johnny/Carla both got bye weeks. Who gonna brag 🗣they won. Hopefully a L.O.L member.

Yahoo is the only league to have both top seed bye week teams end the season with double digit wins as Omar (who has played before) and this PapaKess person (whoever he is) make it

All league playoff teams have at least .500 records or above in the Core4️⃣ except Taurean in ESPN at 6-8

Jermaine had the biggest climbs to reach the playoffs as he was in last place at a few points in the season in NFL and Yahoo.

Taurean & Laura fell to the commish curse and the Williams Brothers avoided it making the playoffs

Although most of you didn't play in Fantrax, it had the highest win total of all teams playing. Even wildcards such as Laura and myself had to have 9 wins to make it in that league. There was even an 8 win team out of the playoff (that sux)

Jermaine is the only L.O.L. member to make the playoffs in CBS in the challenge league to win it all

Big Rich, Johnny, Jermaine, and Carla make up 4 of the 6 teams in the fleaflicker playoffs with good odds a L.O.L member can win the defacto random league for Bragging Rights

Every year, the Ropes scour high school and college baseball fields to find uncut gems that will serve as the foundation for a run of championships. The guys with the stop watches and clip boards grabbed another young stud selected in the 2022 MLB Draft this week. Will the strategy pay off in 2023? 2024? When the earth is swallowed by the sun? Time will tell.

Yet, the Young Stacey consistently finds himself in the top half of the PSX standings almost every year. Don’t be surprised to see this sleep-deprived GM make a couple of additional moves before the end of the year. Unless he nods off into a jar of baby food.

“Inaugural Austin Slater” Award: Vamanos Pest

Regardless of how the Pests finish in the standings, the 2022 Draft Night highlight was the bonkers $5.50 contract the team awarded to Austin Slater. In honor of this mind-blowing buy, The Commish has announced an annual award will acknowledge the most WTF? bid on draft night. (But hey, excellent job with the pitching staff, Craig. Really!)

“Walking Wounded” Award: Kiss My Astros

Has there even been a pitching staff that’s been as snake bit as KMA’s? Elbows. Shoulders. Heart problems. COVID. I’m pretty sure one guy was put on the IL with scurvy. And yet, if the season ended today, Steve would be counting some cash, thanks to … ummm … I don’t know, actually. Let me get back to you on that.

“I Drink Your Milkshake” Award: Ugly Finders

The Uglies ripped a page out of the Savage Ropes playbook on draft night and picked a bunch of post-pubescent prospects. Did it work? One out of four ain’t bad, especially if the one is an 18-year-old who swings a mean stick. Still, if you’re going to try to pull a Daniel Plainview on someone, bring a longer straw, since Scott struck oil with two out of three. (Oh, and Mike’s having a nice year, too.)

Only one team has finished the PSX season with a Perfect 60 across Batting categories: Scotch & Water’s 2015 champs. Next in the record books with 58 Batting points: October Knights’ 2011 champs. How about 57 Batting points? There are your 2011 champs S&W AND your 2018 champs October Knights. Does the trend hold up for 56 Batting points? Yup. That would be October Knights’ first championship in 2004.

Miss Commish- what can I say, I know a thing or two ;) my only beef is that I let a newb beat me (Lexi, I'm coming for you)! Now if only Ja'Marr Chase and D'Andre swift could stay healthy all season... *knock on wood*

Baby Dropped Dak- girl, I see you with this name change! LOL! Luckily Niki wasn't rookie enough to actually play Dak over Patty Mahomes, which put her in a position to comfortably beat Jerry and his little Lamb. Also, how tf did Niki land Justin Jefferson? This guy literally got more yards than Dak did... (separate note, when will Cowboys fans just give up already?) Niki is new to this fantasy thang too but watch out for her because she was smart enough to make an objective decision and subsequently name her team after snubbing the QB of her beloved Cowboys. Will she continue to set her lineup each week and thrive? Only time will tell. Don't consider Baby Dropped Dak a bye-week just yet.

Denver Sex Dungeons- ahh yes, 1st male loser to the women, the best of his kind in this league. His experience shows, much more than that of the manager of Staff Infection. Even with the best Younghoe performance one could ask for, Jack couldn't overcome the absolute dominance of the Lady Commissioner. However, Denver Sex Dungeons does play a rather weak schedule in the next 2 weeks... if the male-managed teams continue to suck ass, perhaps Jack will be the lucky one to pull out the win.

Jerry had a Little Lamb- Okay in Steven's defense, who could've seen Tom Brady doing THIS poorly against the Cowboys? The part in Tom Brady's hair was wide enough for the Cowboys to drive a Ford F-450 King Ranch edition through, yet surprisingly neither team exhibited much success in scoring fantasy points. That being said, Steven is an incredibly competitive manager, and he will certainly be entering the matchup v. his wife with a vengeance. If Miss Commish is lucky, Jerry had a Little Lamb will continue to play Denver's defense, and Tom Brady will continue to be '45 years old, man', and 'have a lot of shit going on'.

I randomly found a trans guy’s blog who was... like he wore stockings and heels and makeup and dressed really feminine but was still A TRANS GUY. And that spoke to my lil not-out-as-trans-to-anyone-at-all heart, and so the first handful of posts were probably introspective shit. And then I started reblogging MCU stuff. And then birdie got a blog and I was lost.

6. why did you choose your icon/pfp?

Oh! My icon is currently art of one of my many DnD characters, a gnomish warlock named Cricket! My wife got a commish of her and her halfling girlfriend Ambria on Flight Rising from a particularly delightful artist, and I love it dearly.

Possibly the closest is the artist formerly known as zarabitha bc I had serious issues with their headcanons/fandom policing, but that’s ancient news and I’m p sure she never recognized me as a unique individual.
