ꕥ Doesn't talk a lot, (it took me to Google when I saw that many people hc him communicating through BSL) but I like to think he does talk. It's just really selective, like a few words.

The first time Ghost genuinely screamed was when Roach was stuck on the side of the wall and Ghost saw him there. Kinda like when you see a roach climbing up a wall and it flies straight for you in your direction. (Happened to me by experience when I was taking a shower)

ꕥ He also likes crawling around, like this I mean. Hacker!Reader seeing this on the enemy's security camera while she tries to shut them off is just funny to me idk why.

ꕥ Chubby!Reader? Sign him the fuck up. You once sat down near him and he saw how you thought spread a bit and it was so close to his that he was just resisting the urge to touch. The voice in his head shamelessly thinking of what it would be like if you suffocated him with them.

ꕥ We all know him and his jokes about his "wives" which by the way is not true and you know it.

ꕥ He's husband material however he is quite busy, not that he'd barely spend time with you but he is away a lot. There's an upside to this, he constantly calls you (Let's be real, he prefers calls over texts) just to check on how you're doing and he tells you when he's going to come home.

ꕥ Despite all his jokes, he'd never actually make fun of you. Sure he's sarcastic and talks to himself a lot but he'd never go as low as actually making an offensive joke to his lover.

ꕥ Speaking of joking, your laugh is music to this man's ears. Don't matter if you sound like a dying cat, he's still gonna make you laugh.

ꕥ Surprisingly really sweet, people are often surprised to see that man with a lover. He's very thoughtful in a sense that he's observant, sure he's quite absentminded when around you because that's the only space he's comfortable enough to do so but also because he likes listening to you.

ꕥ Does every safety measure in a helicopter possible if he knew you or Gaz would be in that helicopter, he also makes improvements to it and calls it Gaz-proofing because we all know how Garrick fell off a damn helicopter TWICE. (Idk how he does it, Gaz has some serious plot armor)

The Minisodes are a Mirror

I've been thinking about the minisodes and how they are a mirror for the three part story we're currently in the middle of and I just wanted to collect my thoughts a bit.

#1 - The Clue/A Companion to Owls

This is a mirror for season 1. Crowley and Aziraphale joining together to defy Heaven and Hell to save humanity. There are a ton of interesting things happening in this episode. Aziraphale trusts Crowley not to destroy the children. Aziraphale eating that entire cow. It's insane, the gluttony of it. It means something about him and his connection to earthly things. They even use the ribs (that he licked clean btw) for their little ruse against the angels. For some reason it brings to mind the body swap in season 1. Aziraphale learns to possess a human(something he's probably not supposed to do, like eating) and use that new skill to fool Heaven and Hell. But the most important in this sitting together at the end.

So sad.

They're sitting on a nice rock that looks like a bench, as far apart from each other as they can get. It's a reflection of where they were in season 1: together but apart. An angel and a demon who go along with their side but only as much as they want. Not and Us yet (which they still aren't).

A few other questions I had:

Turning the goats to crows, why? Crowley has a crow statue on his desk in season one. Connected? A memento of that time?

Aziraphale says he is on "Gods" side. Is that a nice little side step that allows him to defy other angels but still be "the good one?" Or a foreshadowing of what's to come next season?

Crowley says the wine is from a "promising little vineyard" Châteauneuf-du-Pape perhaps?

All the angels and demons assume you can cause humans to fall in love with miracles, but Aziraphale KNOWS you can't. I wonder about that story.

#2 - I Know Where I'm Going/The Resurrectionist

This minisode is a mirror for the current season. It starts with Crowley and Aziraphale puzzling over a half naked Gabriel only to be distracted by a lesbian couple and basically ruin their lives by trying to help.

Look at that thigh.

Sure, Azripahle gives Elspeth a bunch of money, but we never find out what really happens to her. Not yet anyway. The more important part is the argument about doing wicked or immoral things for the greater good. The reuse of the name Dalrymple is interesting because it's a call back to The Thundergun of Witchfinder Colonel Dalrymple aka the gun Aziraphale tries to shoot Adam with. And it foreshadows the end of the season with Aziraphale leaving Crowley and going to heaven (something everyone on the internet is SCREAMING is wrong, including me!!) because he thinks he can do something good by it. But is it wrong? I guess we'll find out.

Some interesting things:

More foreshadowing? Is God gone? There is a conspicuous absence of the voice of God in this season, except for her half heard diatribe to Job. If she's around, is she only talking to humans?

Michael's Prophecy:

"There will come a tempest, and darkness and great storms. And the dead will leave their graves and walk the earth once more. And there will be great lamentations. (Everyday it’s getting closer)"

It's definitely foreshadowing the next episode, which is full of darkness and explosions and clouds and fog. But I think it's also a prophecy of what's to come in season 3. Just like:

#3 - The Hitchhiker/Nazi Zombie Flesheaters

I think this minisode is just one big foreshadow for season 3 and that's why it doesn't make a lot of sense yet. So, let's look at where the furniture isn't and see if we can guess some things? Feel free to play along at home.

But first can we look at the titles of these three episodes:

The Clue - A Companion to Owls. Is the clue the companion to owls? Job? Or is the clue in the meaning of owls: wisdom and sorrow? The Clue in the framing story is the song "Everyday" and a quote "I remember when the Morning Stars sang together, and all the Angels of God shouted for joy." The sorrow of owls is their song, the sound they make represents lamenting, so music might be important next season. (Didn't King David have something to do with music? Or is that just a song I know?) Crows are enemies of Owls and Crowley has a thing for Crows, the statue, the goats, the book he gives Muriel.

I Know Where I'm Going - The Resurrectionist. I know where I'm going can mean "I know what I'm doing" (trust me) or "I know what direction I'm going in" and that direction is to to Resurrectionist! It's literally what happens in this epsiode: everyone goes to the Resurrectionist in the past AND the present. Or maybe it's a metaphor for death, a place everyone (human) goes. Or maybe The Resurrectionist, who represents the Metatron, the moral quandary of doing bad things for good reasons, represents NOT listening to God or yourself (and thinking you know what you're doing), but falling for the lies of people who claim to be doing good when they're actually not. There is also the Ressurectionist as metaphor for rising from the dead and there is a lot of hints about coming back from the dead this season: Lazarus as a unit of measure, the word Ressurectionist, literal zombies, talk of a second coming, probably more stuff I can't remember.

The Hitchhiker - Nazi Zombie Flesheaters. So “The Hitchhiker” is a short radio play by screenwriter Lucille Fletcher. It was first presented in 1941 on the Orson Welles Show and was later made into and episode of the Twilight Zone. It's also the name of a horror anthology TV show from the 80's, which is fitting for this episode, because it feels like an episode of the Twilight Zone or a horror anthology story. Mostly because of the literal Nazi Zombie Flesheaters and a good dose of "be careful what you wish for" moralizing.

So what can this episode tell us about next season? I have a couple of thoughts:

We have the idea of human magic. These zombies aren't just anyone, they are occultist Nazi's that were meeting with Aziraphale in season 1 to buy books of prophecy. They particularly wanted the Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, reminding us that some kind of real human magic exists, and that these Nazi's know about it (and they are now undead Zombies roaming the earth). There is also the mention of Free Masons, a secret organization that may or may not be into the occult. I suspect we'll see some kind of human occult/magic in season 3. Which make's sense with the second coming because by some accounts Jesus was an occult magician in his day.

We also have human magic. The regular stage kind. Here it is used as a kind of trust fall for Aziraphale and Crowley.

So sweet.

I suspect the boys will be placed in a situation where they will have to trust each other or die. Maybe there will even be a lose of power like this time. But they will definitely have to trick someone using mundane means. All three minisodes are about tricks (and arguably the whole season), the three ribs turning into the children, the melting the corpse and stealing the laudanum, the whole magic show episode. There will be a tricks, illusions, making things seem like they aren't. If there isn't I might be sad.

I wanna talk about this show (btw pls watch it, it's so fucking good, the characters are peak and the animation is fucking amazing!):

Episode 1:

-I can't believe they foreshadowed the final boss with fucking Sonic trivia

-Ngl if I asked out a girl and she didn't know anything about neither Sonic or X-Men, I'm dipping the first chance I get

-I was wondering why Scott had the star t-shirt at the beginning, since he only got that at the finale battle with Gideon, to signify his love for Ramona, but with the added context it's not supposed to matter, it's there because it's his most recognizable look

-Matthew's entrance doesn't have the same umph as the movie's. His actor really went all out in that scene, XD

-Sucks that Scott wasn't very involved in this, since he is the title character, but I still loved everything about this. Hope we get to see his arc in the next season

Episode 2:

-Why is Ramona dyeing her hair so damn satisfying?

-Edit: The fact that STEPHEN of all people was the one that gave Scott a euology and was the only one that actually gave a damn XD

And it's pretty sweet that he would have been ok to find out if they sucked, if they found out they sucked together

-"Mommy!" yeah

-I can fucking believe she actually sang that fucking song XD

-Brie Larston is so talented; if I didn't already know she played Envy, I honestly could not tell that was her, but then again I only know her as Captain Marvel, where she has a deeper and much cooler voice

-So, if in the Scott Pilgrim world people just re-spawn at home after being defeated, does that mean that there no one can be murdered or manslaughtered? And if so, how do people actually get a "permanent game over"? Does everyone just die of old age? Also if people bury the coins dropped after someone dies, would that make grave-robbing the most common crime in the world?

-The fact that all Matthew needed to defeat Gideon was confidence is actually very inspiring. The probable reason why he's so extra (besides being a theater kid) is because Ramona dumped him, which really hurt his self-esteem. And while it's kinda sad and pathetic to let a middle school break-up bring down your self-worth, that doesn't mean it didn't suck for Matthew; and after realizing that Ramona wouldn't take him back just because he beat Scott, he finally got a reality check and decided that their goal was pointless, so he moved on from Ramona and decided to make something out of himself, and using the confidence he got from "beating" Scott, he unleashed his true power and was able to defeat Gideon, take his company, and then became successful Broadway actor

-"Et tu, eat me." Roxie is a fucking queen

Episode 3:

-Hey, I didn't asked to be fucking attacked about my writting process, Scott Pilgrim!

-Knives getting more character development besides being obsessed with Scott is everything I didn't know I ever wanted

I really hope they expand on the whole concept of being Vegan in season 2

And while we're on that, anyone think it's weird that nearly single girl in the comic had or still has a crush on Scott? Like, seriously? This asshole, really? And you just know that if it was a manga made in Japan, Stacie would have a goddamn bro-con complex with him

-Idk how I feel about them just glossing over Gideon just being an absolute monster; like yeah, Ramona was a bitch with most of her relationships and she does tend to run away from her problems, but Gideon was a manipulative, ego-centric, abusive piece of shit. I mean, the guy kept his 6 ex-girlfriends frozen in stasis for appearences or for whatever else he wanted, and he wanted to do the same to Ramona. I like him and Julie being assholes together, but seriously, I hope they touch on that in season 2

-Dude fuck those kids, I would give Gordon so much respect for actually trying that; I wish I had a third of his confidence

-I never knew I needed to see Captain America and The Spot being goofy friends until now

-I headcanon that one of the reasons why they had Matthew take over Gideon's company was so they could finally give him a job XD, tho it was always insinuated that he was in the army, because of the Private Rank patch on his jacket, which they removed in this version and that really sucka because I liked that little detail; it was also another reference to him being the 1st Evil Ex, because Private is the 1st rank in the military

-At least Ramona does recognize that what she did was messed up, even if the Twins were also being dicks, she should have just called them both out and be done with them

Episode 7:

-When Old Scott spoke, I thought it was Ben Schwartz at first lol

-I love how the world isn't the cliché "terrible post apocalyptic world caused by something that happened to the main character", it just looks really crappy, which... yeah, accurate; the look everyone has just seems to be the current fad, they just embraced the post-apocalyptic looking world they live in.

Also that tech is not that advanced, they have hover vehicles and board, and holo-phones, that does seem like they kind of tech we could have in a few decades, maybe

-The fucking Virtual Boy XD XD XD, surprised Scott's eyes weren't on fire after staring into that thing

-Old Wallace is a fucking GILF

-Ramona changing her hair color every week was symbolic of her always running away from her problems, but I like that she keeps doing it in the future, just because she likes it

-At first it felt that they just speedran Scott and Knives, but then again Scott probably read a little of Old Young Neil's auto-biography and figured things out. -But at least she catharsis by seeing Scott and Ramona not being able to kiss XD

-Oh! And I just realized that she didn't waste her first kiss on Scott! 😃

Episode 8:

-I think it's dumb they gave Knives her look from the comics without any reason. She only changed her look to look more appealing to Scott in the comics, and in the epilogue she's back to her normal look, like, at least have people mention the look and her saying that she's trying something new

Edit: I rewatched the whole thing and I just realized that Even Older Scott punched the highlights out of Knives' hair XD

-It's basically a meme at this point, but pls have the Katayanagi Twins do something! They had such a bigger role in the comics. At least I wanted to see their combo moves animated!

It's nice that the Exes are actually cheering for them to kiss, or maybe they're just teasing because they can't; either way it's nice

-Even Older Scott is Ramona's 8th evil ex. He debuts in the 8th episode and has studied the powers of all the other 7 Evil Exes along with his own, which adds up to 8.

Sucks he didn't actually use their powers, I would have loved it if he used Vegan Powers combined with mystical powers, maybe instead of Demon Hipster Chicks he summons little Nega Scotts, he has stronger skateboard tricks than Lucas, he some robot arms that can shoot lasers and can help him do the Twins' combo moves, but doubled

-Edit: The fact that Knives went for Ramona instead of Scott. CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!!!!

-Even Older (Nega) Scott is just Evil Ryu and I fucking love it!!

-At first, it didn't make sense to see Todd and Roxie hanging out, but then I realized that just like Roxie, Todd was hurt by someone who treated their relationship like an un-important after-thought, a phase; and just broke it up like it was nothing, without any consideration for the other's feelings. And now that Roxie got closure with Ramona she's helping him to move on from this in a way healthier way than she did. (That and they're both gay) That is so fucking wholesome, I need to see them being friends in season 2 pls!! Also sucks she didn't interact much with Matthew, because Satya Bhabha said that he thinks Matthew and Roxie would be friends.

Also this was kinda foreshadowed in episode 2, at the end of Matthew and Gideon's fight, where she mentions wanting to get Vegan Powers after seeing how convinient they are. I need Half-Ninja, Vegan, Lesbian, now!!!!

-Ramona is finally gonna stop running away, so she keeps most of her hair as her natural color with a little green at the end to not forget her past and where she came from

Hi Robin Buckley enjoyers, if you care about Robin Buckley's music taste this very niche post is for you! Your local former band kid and music extraordinaire (me) is here. This is long.

All information on Robin's music taste was given by Maya Hawke. And before you argue that "Actors don't affect what is canon," Okay well Maya does. The costume department let her take home Robin's converse in season 3 (which she wears in every episode) and write whatever she wanted on them. Because of Maya Hawke, Robin's sneakers canonically have "I won't go down in history but I'll go down on your sister," and "TIDDIEZ" written on them. Checkmate.

So for our musical headcanon purposes we are going to take everything Maya says as canon.

I know that in season four Robin has the line, "Madonna, Blondie, Bowie, Beatles, music, we need music!" while she's sorting through Eddie's tapes as Nancy is getting vecna'd. But I believe she's just naming very popular artists hoping it will be a song Nancy would like. So I haven't taken this line into consideration for our purposes. (Though we do know from this interaction that Robin definitely is not a metalhead.)

According to Maya Hawke, this would be Robin's music taste:

But what would Robin's favorite artist be, and what's her favorite song?

So glad you asked because I'm about to tell you!

Maya Hawke said in an interview that Robin would have the same music taste she does, because they are very similar. (More on this later)

If Robin's music taste is Maya's music taste, then it stands to reason that her favorite music would be most similar to Maya Hawke's own music.

In my opinion (which is correct because I know more about this than you so shut up) out of these four artists, based on overall lyricism, lyrical themes, musical themes, and vibes, the artist most similar to Maya Hawke is unarguably: Patti Smith.

But what is Robin's favorite song?

People Have the Power by Patti Smith! (Released in 1988, but go with it!)

Two reasons for this: it is one of the most similar to Maya's music lyrically and vibe-wise, and the lyrics would undoubtedly resonate with Robin.

If you're at all familiar with Maya's music you can see the similarities in lyrical themes: use of multiple metaphors, use of imagery, overarching social commentary.

I won't go too much into why the lyrics would resonate with Robin but I will say that the Robin who spit in the face of a Russian general and mocked him would resonate with a song about people having the power rather than the government having the power. In the same interview that Maya said Robin would have the taste she does, she specifically mentioned Phoebe Bridgers.

When asked about Robin's music taste on the red carpet at the Stranger Things premier, Maya Hawke again said that Robin would like the same music she likes and mentioned MUNA, Phoebe Bridgers, Charli XCX, Samia, and Christian Lee Hutson.

If we're not allowing Maya Hawke to exist in our AU because that's too meta, I'd stick with Phoebe Bridgers as her favorite artist because she's mentioned her multiple times when asked this question and in the first interview Phoebe is the only artist that she mentioned.

Maya has said her most recent album Moss was heavily inspired by Folklore, and while it is distinctly different it definitely comes through in the album. And I'm not going to do lyrical analyses on why every song is relatable to Robin, but as a Taylor Swift Expert, just trust me on this one.

I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH

I do! I've actually liked it for years. Um, I'm going to be kinda cringe for a minute before I get into the actual game it's self. Spoilers?? Do I need to warn that?

I actually fell into the game when I was in 5th grade, I couldn't even play the game and it still managed to get a grip on me. I watched every video I could find about it, mainly getting sucked into videos reading comics about the game. Me and my friend at the time both loved the game so we would talk about it for hours and real fanfics on Quotev and Wattpad. I actually remember seeing "Down To The Bone." When/ around the time dropped, I listened to it on repeat. I also watched the "Undertale If It Was Realistic." A lot too. ALSO, the undertale parody of "Stronger Than You" was quoted a lot. My friend was a huge fan of Temmie and they used to talk like her and I remember always thinking that was cool. I was always a huge fan of Papyrus, Mettaton, and Sans. Mettaton specifically (more on that later). And I guess I just remember, wanting so bad to be able to be apart of the fandom, but not being able to. I begged my mom to get me merch for the game while trying to hide how I knew so much about the game. (I wasn't allowed on YouTube or social media so I had to tell her I loved it bc my friend did.) I did not get the merch I wanted btw, but um, I guess it's just, it's my childhood in a way. I also used to try and draw the characters but I couldn't draw so I ended up just imagining scenarios in my head. I used to swing on the swing set at recess and just imagine stuff about the game.

Okay so the fun not cringe stuff but still cringe in a way.

So, when I finally played undertale for the first time, oh my god??? It fixed something in me, what it fixed, I don't know. I remember being super confused and trying to look at a guide for everything. I also felt so bad because I killed a few monsters in my first run and when Undyne told me I was killing them I cried. I also cried at her fight because I was dying over and over and I didn't know what to do. And also at the time I thought there were two endings, Pacifist and Genocide, and I cried when I couldn't save Asgore because I thought did something wrong (because at this point I had reset the game and killed no one). Fun fact, I have never played the Genocide route because I can't kill Papyrus. I can't do it man. I'd rather die. I love the sound track, and I love all the characters. And I love the game. I want to get an undertale tattoo at some point I love it that much.

I guess the last thing I want to say is that the game probably made me realize I was queer, in some way. Like it might not have been an instant thing, but it definitely opened my mind to queer ideas when all I had been fed was gay people bad, trans people evil. I think Mettaton was a huge thing to me, I wanted to be like him, I thought he was so cool. I didn't know men could be feminine and be cool, that it wasn't some joke. I just, I think it made me realize something some how. Also seeing a lesbian couple made a little switch in my brain flip, like oh, I like them, and they're gay, so why don't I like other gay people? (I had a LOT of internalized homophobia and transphobia and it was somehow fixed by undertale go figure 😭)

I don't know, maybe this isn't the best breakdown or what you were looking for, and to be fair it's probably unintelligible rambling. But it did give me a chance to look back on my past and how much this game really changed me and made my life better. So thanks! Um and sorry I suppose.

Also! Shocker, and probably insane to admit, but... I never thought I'd find a game that made me feel like Undertale did and then I found TF2. TF2 is my new Undertale and that's horrific </3

'ocean' is the umbrella grouping term for presentation labels that lesbian & bi/pan sapphics can use regarding femininity, masculinity, and androgyny.

these terms were initially coined by strwbryfemme on twitter, using their gimmick account sapphicimagines back in january of 2022. both accounts have since been deactivated and therefore this thread is long gone. i found them in an old flag hoard album on my camera roll recently and decided to respectfully reupload them in case anyone else would enjoy.

NOTE #1: i will not be putting the rest of this, admittedly quite long, post under a ‘read more’ cut due to the fact that all the information would be lost if someone decided to reblog it and the original post ended up gone sometime in the future. you would not be able to view anything under it, since whatever is there can only be seen on the original page. i apologize if you have to scroll a lot because of this, but that’s unfortunately one of the many inconvenient ways tumblr works.

NOTE #2 (MUST READ): i felt it would be best to swap their usage of 'pearl' to mean masc, not androgyne. this is because these chosen words feel unbalanced in their meanings to me. 'ocean' feels too broad and vague to cover just one category (hence why i made it overarching instead), and doesn't fit its place in the hierarchy of the theme. it'd be like saying, for example: 'cat' is fem, 'animal' is masc, and 'dog' is androgynous; instead of saying 'cat' is fem, 'dog' is masc, and 'furry' (lmao idk ok? bear with me) is androgynous. i then turned what was previously 'pearl' into 'coral' as a replacement, since that made more sense from my perspective. if this confuses you while reading the tweets below, i have put my corrections for the labels/flags in alt text, which you can click on each image to access. if that doesn't help, feel free to ask questions. i tried to make this as easy and least complex as possible, so i apologize if that didn't work.

Bee (@transpran) and I had so much fun answering these, we ended up rambling a bit more than was probably necessary. I'm not gonna apologize though. They're lesbians, come on.

some specific scenarios that are either new or changed?

Dee (that's me!): In terms of specific scenarios that change, pretty much most of the scenes change at least a little bit - but I don't want to give too much away, because I'm working on a couple drabbles that explore some scenes! Please look forward to that :)

What brought you guys to [Gun as more gnc], and does her character change at all?

Bee: as far as gun being gender nonconforming, i think she grew up naturally into it from being around so many boys, obviously that doesn't happen to every girl who has mostly dude friends but it does tend to be more common among them. especially with being the leader of an otherwise all-boys band, i think as a result she developed into someone who's fierce when she needs to be and able to play around easily (boys are ROWDY at that age generally), someone who can blend in and be "one of the boys." and i do think she enjoys her life that way; i don't think gun consciously cares much about gender at all. but what happens when she meets tinn is that she realizes what she likes about her, and some of it is focused on their differences, on tinn's careful femininity, her gentleness, her lack of a temper (with a few exceptions, as we know). and she admires all that a great deal. part of the differences in the story would be, i think, about gun seeing all that and wondering if she's doing it wrong herself, if not caring about her gender has been mostly just out of convenience so she wouldn't have to think about hard questions, etc. and how she comes out on the other side loving herself as she is and understanding herself more, and that the beauty of being a woman, or anybody, is the power of choosing who you are regardless of what's expected of you by society.

Dee: pretty much all of that! Plus, I think Gun has always been allowed to express herself however she wants (by her parents, Chinzhilla) so she's never really had to like, come up with reasons for anything. She just is! She also has to unpack a little bit of 'do I like this about Tinn or do I want [gender thing] for myself' which is, I think, a common question that often pops up for queer people (or at least it seems to do so for me ajdkd). In terms of character changes, I think one of us said at some point that girl!Gun is more of a 'crunchy' character. Even from a very basic perspective - Fourth's face is very prominent and strong, which, while considered attractive on a guy, could make for a girl!Gun who is often considered rude or grumpy - which can lead to some very interesting changes in the character and choices girl!Gun would make in comparison to canon!Gun.

What kind of clothes does she wear?

Dee: I think Gun is a lot more varied in terms of patterns and style because she'd get more freedom to explore clothes in the first place, but it would end up being pretty similar to canon!Gun's outfits anyway. She also wears more jackets and hoodies as a way to cover up more thoroughly.

Bee: clotheswise, i don't think gun's outfits would change much from original gun. maybe they'd be more form fitting if she doesn't outright shop at the boy's section, but the general vibe would be the same. i think she'd also enjoy loose crop tops on top of sports bras though, and similar stuff.

Does she break/bend rules as often as canon!gun?

Bee: rulebreaking: i think part of gun and friends being outcasts is the rulebreaking and the being bad at studying and school thing. so if anything she'd double down on it. gun has been shown to be very much a "i'll be exactly what they expect of me, and then i'll prove them all wrong" kind of character, if that makes any sense, and girl!gun pretty much has to pick between behaving and not - straddling the line is more dangerous for her cause it could ruin her future and reputation no matter what she did. so she either does what society expects, or says to hell with it with all her chest. we know what she'd choose.

Dee: something else I think is an aspect of Gun's character is that she's very used to center stage. She's been singing and performing since very little, and she enjoys it, so I think she's pretty oblivious to some of the attention she attracts. Obviously she's not wholly unaware, but still. Also, in some ways, I think Gun is even more likely to bend rules because she's so used to having to loophole her way into certain spaces and having to command the room to gain the same respect her male friends seem to get. Girl!Gun is more likely to play with technicalities because it's what she's had to do for ages. Also, she gains a bit of a fan club due to her brazen nature, especially younger queer kids (though this doesn't click for her until much, much later).

really excited initially about a sequel to naked time, easily among the best ever tos episodes. but this is too early! even in tos we'd gotten a short time to know them as they are normally before they did All Of That

also this episode was. uh. not great. for starters, the inhibitions being lowered in meant different things to everyone...except the women. ALL THREE major female characters instantly turned into boy crazy sex fiends, which is particularly tragic for tasha bc she has major lesbian swag.

perhaps the most interesting character in naked now was geordi, who got absolutely no resolution to the interesting setup they gave him, which is pretending he's satisfied with the way things are re: his vision and the prosthetic he uses, and then revealing that perhaps he's actually secretly not. that was neat. every time he's onscreen i'm like "i'd like to know more about that guy" and every time they're like "no <3"

My #1 post of 2022

I haven't seen anyone here talk about it yet, but if y'all care about owning or even seeing animals that aren't dogs and cats please be aware of the America COMPETES Act of 2022. The Act is 3,000 pages long and while most of it isn't relevant, some of it contains amendments to the Lacey Act. The Lacey Act, among other things, allows states to determine what they consider 'injurious' to native wildlife and put it on a blacklist, meaning it cannot be transported into or through that state. The America COMPETES Act of 2022 seeks to mush that all up into bits by requiring a universal whitelist nationwide effectively meaning that if something could be an invasive species in southern Florida, transporting it to Alaska (from anywhere in the world, whether for personal ownership, zoo or wildlife caretaking, sanctuary care, feed for other animals, etc etc) would be illegal and - if utilized as the Lacey Act has been, potentially a felony. Transportation both internationally AND between states for non-whitelisted animals would be illegalized, and identification of animals would be placed in the hands of enforcing officers from the US Fish and Wildlife Service. No more bringing your pet across state lines to move or for veterinary care if it is (as it so often is) impossible to find anyone closer. No more feeding your pets insects that might not have made it into the (as of yet undefined) whitelist. No more new intakes for zoos of animals that haven't either. This act could also potentially effect the ownership of certain animals in that list.

The potential problems goes on and on. Please look at USARK's article on this to and get more information on WHY this is a problem, as well as information on who and how to contact about keeping this gross overreach out of our legal system.

tl;dr a new act is threatening exotic (see, everything except a cat or dog) animal keepers, owners and sellers and NEEDS to be addressed before it passes unread.

look, i might delete this later but. i was just crying really hard while reading loveless (and i'm still crying haha), and honestly, same as with heartstopper, a part of me is just wretched that this sort of book, this sort of series exists now.

because it didn't then. it didn't when i needed it.

(i'm not saying this to shit on the fact that these types of stories exist now btw. i'm just. processing my feelings about that fact that they didn't when i was young.)

like. there was nothing. there was the vague awareness that gay men and lesbian women existed. bisexuality wasn't a thing. the asexual and aromantic spectrum? unheard of.

i might have fucking realized way earlier that i liked girls (and that that wasn't a bad thing) if i'd ever so much heard of the concept of bisexuality as a teen.

and then later, when my best friend found out she was bisexual and that for her happened to coincide with lots of making out and having sex with both girls and boys (we didnt' know anyone who was non-binary, nor did we know more than 2 genders existed at all), it just. it was kind of clear to me that well then that couldn't be me either?

sure, i'd fallen in love with a girl by that age (and oh my how badly that ended, but that's a whole other story), but since nothing ever happened between us by any allosexual standards i still didn't... clock it as something i could possibly derive a sense of identity from.

i always felt like i was in this kind of... limbo. crushing on boys but not actually wanting to kiss them (--yet, as i later on in my demisexual journey found out), crushing on girls and having the imminent sense of shame and wrongness about it.

i just. my life would have been so different if i'd seen these kinds of stories being told. but maybe being queer for every generation at least to some degree means living through your own coming of age again and again in so many different stories until you've let yourself feel all of the feelings you were never allowed to feel.

maybe being queer is about patching it all up, and filling the patches and cracks with gold threads, you know like that ancient golden vase where its cracks were stuck together again with gold?

i dont' fully know what i'm saying at this point, and i've also got some things that need doing, so this is where this post ends haha <3 (end post with a bang? nah, more like end it with some unnecessary blabbering :) )

Ok, first of all - I'm really sorry you went through that. Fwiw, I've definitely had bad relationships with men so I can relate to you on that front and I hope you're now having way more fulfilling relationships because you deserve that <3.

Re: being a bi!roman truther - generally, I don't think I'm personally a truther about sexuality wrt any of the siblings (I’m not even a truther about my own sexuality lol). I know I said I think Kendall is straight and I do but if he hooked up with Stewy next season, I would honestly just be like 'yeah, sure, why not?'. Same as if Roman became canonically straight next season (however one becomes canonically straight skjdksnd). I wouldn't be up in arms that it was inconsistent with his character, although I'd be a bit disappointed that it was a missed opportunity wrt representation (especially since succession is starting to get a bad rep in that regard). 

I honestly don't think you can use evidence other than a person confirming their sexuality to prove their sexuality (and even then, they’re allowed to reevaluate). I just think no character trait/action is really inconsistent with any sexuality. So, yeah, I agree with all takes on succ characters’ sexualities, basically - except for takes that tell other people they're wrong or a character’s sexuality is 100% this or that. As a general aside, I actually think it's a bit strange when people (in all seriousness - not as a joke) say 'no one who is 100% straight does this' because they do. Straight people don’t have to be aggressively ‘no homo’ 24/7, ykwim? Idk if I’m making sense lol but that’s just my opinion.

Anyways, does Roman love Gerri? I think he does. Is Roman in love with Gerri? I don't think even he could tell you that. He thinks he is, I think. But, to borrow Caden’s ( @romanroydinnerparty ) words “Roman doesn't know the difference between wanting someone, wanting to want someone, and wanting someone to want him” (I still want this tattooed on my forehead btw).

I think I’ve said this before, but imo Roman is a hard character to interpret wrt his sexuality and relationships because I think he has a whole history that the audience aren’t aware of which contributes to how he engages in love, sex, interpersonal relationships, etc. And I think the fandom has a tendency to conflate all of those in a way that confuses his issues. E.g., you see the take all the time that Roman has a degradation kink whereas I think his deepest wish is to have the most normal vanilla sex with someone he feels safe with and to not have to attach that to any sort of shame or to distance himself from it in any way. The way he engages in sex doesn’t have to say anything about his sexuality (but it might!!! again, I don’t think these takes are wrong, I just also agree with takes that conflict with them).

Gay experience

So ky friend is a fundie Christian, and she is one of the rare few allowed to go to public school (she went to a strict all-girls school from 2-8th grade, but was homeschooled until 2ed grade.)
