Well, it turns out that it may not have been as necessary as Shiro thought. In which Shiro learns that he has severely underestimated Lance and Lance is freaking awesome.

i LOVE this fic. nothing is more funny to me than the idea of the team rushing to try to find and save lance and discover him w his foot halfway out the door already lol. i have read this fic like ninety times. also i swear ive already recced this one but whatever double rec bc this fic rocks

I really don’t understand when people say stuff like Zuko supported Katara the most, like, he supported her 4 times. Aang was consistently supportive of Katara from the beginning, like the only times he arguably didn’t was when he didn’t want Katara to kill a guy, or when Katara first mention her mother’s death to him (and even then she was trying to tell him the Air Nomads might be gone).

People also say stuff like Zuko and Katara were equals, but it’s not like Aang (or the others) weren’t equals, Katara never looks down on Aang, rather the opposite, she values his opinion and has a lot of respect and admiration for him and vice versa. Honestly my main issue with Zutara is that, while they have a really strong and believable friendship and romance between the two would just be so forced and out of nowhere, objectively speaking there’s barely any build up. I can genuinely believe Aang and Katara develop romantic feelings for each other because we see they have a strong friendship and a strong bond.

The people who say this stuff are zutara shippers lol. Idc what they say. Most of them haven’t even watched ATLA in over a decade, and when they did watch the show, they only paid attention to the episodes with Zuko and Katara. And even then, they ignored any scene without them in it, considering they forget context for like… everything.

People love to project fanon onto canon with ATLA. They act like Zuko and Katara have this extremely deep bond that only they fulfill in the narrative but the canonical truth is that Katara and Zuko aren’t even really friends by ATLA’s end. They’re like… acquaintances, who know next to nothing about one another and never seem to care to want to know, either. People play up their relationship for dramatic reasons because they find that juicy or whatever but Zuko is not Katara’s best friend by the end of ATLA. Aang is lol. I mean seriously, do you really think Katara would ask to hang out and spend quality time with Zuko in mundane settings? Or that he would ever do the same? No. They formed an alliance and became friendly acquaintances for the sake of ending a war. Katara accompanied Zuko to the FN not to shower him with love but to defeat his sister. The second the war was over, Katara was nowhere to be seen around Zuko except in group settings, and the second she got a chance to be alone with Aang, she took it and didn’t think twice.

Also the whole mention of Aang not commenting on Katara’s mom being dead in episode 3 is such a dumb argument from zutara shippers. The point of that conversation isn’t for Aang to shower Katara in affection and condolences. She’s just telling him the reality of the war he’s slept through. Of course his immediate reaction to hearing someone she loves died is to deny the possibility that his loved ones are dead. That was WHY she brought up her mother. She didn’t say this to get some kind of condolence from Aang, she said it to let him know the reality of war. Aang was in denial about the genocide of his people and desperate for that not to be the case. Completely understandable reaction, btw, to the idea of your entire race and culture being exterminated. And it’s not like Aang didn’t listen to her or care about what she had to say or how she felt; her relating her mother’s loss to his loss over Gyatso literally pulls him out of the avatar state.

Ok idc if I get hate for this but I HATE Sakura haters. “Oh she’s so useless oh she doesn’t do anything she lets naruto and sasuke do everything” I-

Sakura is the only main character we see who’s not overpowered in some way or part of a shinobi bloodline. We know how important those are in terms of powers, allies, mentors, etc. sasuke unlocks the sharingan and gets powerful. Naruto has the nine tails and also incredible heritage. Her best friend ino is from a major clan with special mind jutsu. Everyone else- shikamaru, choji, kiba, hinata and even neji, shino, even gaara + sibs, most of the main characters have some sort of familial/clan support and power. The only other one we see who doesn’t is rock lee but what does he get? The unwavering dedication of guy sensei. I love Kakashi but damn he did Sakura dirty with training when he focused on naruto and sasuke.

So she comes from no shinobi background, masters chakra control before naruto and sasuke to climb the tree, is one of the only if not the only person to solve the written part of the chunin exam without cheating just because she’s so smart, and people have the audacity to shame her? Oh she’s scared in fights YEAH OF COURSE SHE IS? Naruto and sasuke aren’t scared of zabuza and haku and orochimaru but she’s not a 12 year old boy with unlimited power and even more audacity?? She’s a girl who has no special abilities and learned a week ago to climb a tree.

She was done really dirty in shippuden too bc she finally got tsunade to be her master after being ignored by kakashi, mastered healing and was the only one of her disciples to actually master the thousand healings and she’s still relegated to being useless bc she’s not as good as naruto and sasuke. The first arc of getting gaara back shows what she could’ve been as a character: a selflessly brave shinobi who’s intelligent enough to think of new solutions like forming the antidote to sasori’s poison and letting chiyo control her to fight sasori. She’s the one who formulates the antidote to save gaara. Yes she’s manipulative at times and uses Naruto’s crush on her to try to get him to come back to the village but yk what? She’s a fucking shinobi. That’s what she does. She manipulates and fights and uses all her resources to complete her goals.

I’m tired of seeing her called useless bc she doesn’t stack up to classmates with clan support, is weaker than the two overpowered main characters in the show, and has appropriate fear responses to things.

Edit to add this includes boruto era Sakura hate. Ppl hate bc she wears the uchiha insignia UH YEAH she married into the clan and also do you remember what happened to the last kid who was the only person who wore the uchiha insignia hint his pain of being alone got to him and he ran off to orochimaru. Oh but hinata/temari/ino don’t wear their husbands’ clan insignia YEAH BECAUSE they’re already part of powerful clans they can’t switch up on loyalty like that Sakura has no clan so she can. Oh lol Sakura’s the only one who could have an uchiha kid who needed glasses yeah ykw she’s the one who can make her vision perfect with healing I’m betting this comes from sarada’s dad who destroyed and switched up on his eyes like 1836283 times. Also she’s a brilliant doctor and tsunade’s best legacy it’s not her fault that sasuke is an absent husband and father when she’s done nothing but be a present, active wife and mother who doesn’t hold back on her love for her family

I appreciate how he may appear frightening and rude, yet he has a really kind heart and he's simply so pure when he talks about his interests! The only thing that bothers me about him is that he almost never acts when someone is in danger unless he is personally involved in the situation, but I can't entirely blame him because he is most likely terrified, so he minds his own business. That may not be particularly heroic of him, but it doesn't make him a bad person anyway.

Aside from that, it’s not his fault here but I’m convinced the writers have something against him because his routes are all less entertaining compared to the rest. Don’t get me wrong, I loved him in HDB, he hit different there and I understand that he can’t suddenly start being confident with the power of love, however it’s such a turn off how all his main game routes revolve around him feeling unloved, insecure and thinking that everyone hates him when it was proved IN EVERY ROUTE that everyone actually CARES about him and IS there for him. It’s like everything starts all over again for what?

I feel bad for Subaru but I also feel bad for Yui for having to reassure him each and every time that he matters, he’s beautiful, he’s not like his father, everyone loves him and so on. He’s really likeable to me but they sometimes do him way too dirty. ;w;

And don’t even get me started on why Christa was even included in his DF route. She seemed more normal in MB, whereas in DF she was straight up crazy and it didn’t even give her a proper redemption arc like they did with Cordelia.

Moreover, whoever wrote LE had beef with Subaru and you can’t tell me otherwise. Not only did the writer make him try to romance Yui in Kou’s route, which resulted in him being slapped by her —I mean, I understand Yui’s reaction because she loved Kou there, but it's still a trashy situation— but on top of getting rejected, he also, as far as I recall, accidently ended off his own mother?? 😭😭

Last but not least, I’m pretty sure every time Seiji appeared in LE in his brothers’ routes, Yui was like “Idc father, I’m siding with my man” on the spot but when it came to Subaru’s route, she actually debated which one to choose between him and her dad——? It’s obvious that Subaru is extremely dependent on her and he got such a low self-esteem, so why would you pull that on him out of all characters? It’s even worse when you remember his brute ending… (ಢ_ಢ)

I tried to make this quite detailed, keeping in mind that you stated missing reading something about him. As for my final thoughts, I doubt they'll make a new game, but if they do, I truly hope they will develop his character and his relationships with Yui, Kou, and his brothers better. Nonetheless, his tsuntsun side is adorable, and he's generally chill (well… when not enraged, lol). Bonus points for liking animals; I recall him telling the MMV cat, "Don't leave my side," which may sound dramatic, but l found that sweet~! xD

I think we can all agree that HTTYD 3 is the most divisive movie in the franchise.

So I'm curious to know your personal opinions on it!

I personally have a love hate relationship with it. There's a lot of things I love while there's a LOT of things I hate.

I love a lot of it. But I'll go ahead and state the problems I had because they are easier to describe compared to the things I loved about it.

-Some aspects involving The Light Fury. She was a plot device more than she was a character and the "behind the scenes" creaton of her was problematic imo. Although it's slightly grown on me, her design is weird and I really want to redesign her lol.

-Some things involving Toothless. I LOVE Toothless, but I have a lot of problems with how he was handled in this movie. For one, he's TOO OVERPOWERED! like really? Not only can he control all dragons, but you gave the ONE ability that made the Light Fury unique and gave it to Toothless 🤦‍♀️. Although it's a result of the ending of movie 2, I don't like the idea of Toothless being able to control dragons, but this is a personal gripe that I explained in detail before and isn't a fault of the writing in movie 3. This is a nitpick but I don't like how they got rid of Toothless' subtle patterns that have appeared in all instalments (including series) except this movie. This is also a nitpick but I also found it weird that they made Toothless act so much like a dog in this movie when he almost always acted more like a cat in every instalment. Also, his want to leave Hiccup was way to sudden and is not in his character... I could explain a lot more but idc exactly how to put it to words and this post would go on forever lol.

-Kinda a nitpick but I don't like how Astrid was reduced to just moral support. I wish we had more moments of her being badass. Because one thing I always LOVED about Astrid was that she's independent and strong but also allowed to act feminine. As a woman myself, all women are different- Women can act feminine, women can act masculine, and seeing a strong independent woman character that can act masculine but also act feminine is something you rarely really see in mainstream media imo.

-The side characters where done SO DANG DIRTY in this movie... ESPECIALLY if you watched Riders/Defenders of Berk + Race to the Edge. The characters I feel got ruined the most though, where Snotlout and Ruffnut. WHAT HAPPENED TO SNOTLOUT BEING COCKY BUT ALSO HAVING A HEART OF GOLD!? WHAT HAPPENED TO RUFFNUT BEING PURPOSELY STUPID TO CONFUSE HER ENEMIES? WHAT DID THEY DO HHH???

-Grimmel was just a half baked Viggo from Race to the Edge. Nobody can change my mind.

-BIGGEST COMPLAINT. Like EVERY installment, both movie, short film, comic, and series, where built on exploration and discovery. In every part of the franchise, we saw new species and worlds. So when the marketing for HTTYD 3 came out... Naturally I assumed we where going to spend a lot of time IN THE HIDDEN WORLD (in my mind as just Toothless and the Light Fury as they bonded). But no. IT HAS SO LITTLE SCREENTIME spent ACTUALLY IN there! Even VANAHEIM was eventually explored in-depth... HHH Just kinda felt like a let-down to me, you know?

Things I personally loved.

-Toothless has his own motivations and goals completely separate from Hiccup in this movie. I really love this as it separates them as individuals more than it has been done before. Only problem is that I feel they didn't handle it as good as I wish they did.

-The very end of this movie was so beautifully bitter sweet with Hiccup and Astrid and their kids!

-Goes without saying that the animation was phenomenal! And although the soundtrack is not as memorable as the first 2, it's still EXTREMELY good!

-Adored the fact we got to see Fireworm Dragons for a few shots! Always love when a movie sneaks in series content.

-Hiccup and Astrid's relationship is still so wholesome to watch and amazing to see!

-The Stoick flashbacks where great!

-I will not lie, I am blinded by my love of HTTYD to completely disown this movie LOL.

Idc what the alt right racist mfs on twitter have to say. 3rd best Star Wars series after Ahsoka. Started slow and the witch chant thing was cringe but when it got going, boy did it really get going. So many twists and turns and great fights, wow. This finale had it ALL. Was so worried they wouldn’t be able to wrap things up , but they exceeded my wildest expectations and this is now a must watch for Star Wars fans.

First of all, WAS THAT FUCKING DARTH PLAGUEIS??! kind of a lame way to introduce him into live action by having him hiding in a damn cave, but I’ll allow it. I’m just so fucking excited to see so much stuff from legends officially brought into the canon. Can not wait to see what they do with him next season!

The rest of the finale was a massive WTF. Osha gradual descent to the dark side was so well done culminating in her learning the truth about what Sol did from his own mouth. Even though he is technically the cause of everything, I still think he was a good man who did some awful things. this series has really nailed the moral grey aspect of character writing. Like even Qimir who came off as a villain initially feels justified by the end given the hints we’ve had about Vernestra turning on him.

The force choke and corrupted kyber crystal?? She actually did it oh my god???? I thought she’d let him live, Fuckkk. They’re not afraid to kill off loved and popular characters at all and I love that, but at the same time I still feel bad for Sol 😭 I was so certain she would stop the force choke midway through but going all the way with it and killing the guy who raised her. Brutal. I think even Qimir was taken aback by just how powerful Osha is in the dark side and the lightsaber corrupting.

Sucks so much that Mae had to get her mind wiped, I figure this’ll set up Mae and Osha as enemies next season and I think one will end up dying with how they’re going all GoT with deaths in this lol.

Vernestra blaming the whole situation on sol during the senate meeting had me feeling a little bad as well, but again, it kind of was all his fault. He let his irrational attachment for Osha cause all of this. I’m sure he did care for her, but he was selfish.

AND THAT ENDING OMG YODA IS HERE. I was wondering how tf we get thru all of this without Yoda realising something was up. About damn time. Can’t wait to see what he cooks up next season too. S/O Manny Jacinto and the cast because they were amazing in this and really delivered an all time great Star Wars series

Give up on wanting to help people?”), etc. He’s got a bigger heart than people give him credit for!

I think ultimately the problem for me is not even people being mad at Michonne per se but it’s the time jump of it all that just makes it too much.

Because the whole thing with not killing Negan was about being better and thinking of the future and building that better future even if it meant doing something as painful as not killing him and that’s gonna make them stronger and unify them in the long run (see also: the bridge) bla bla bla And actually even if I obviously can’t support how they went about it and all that, I really don’t think Daryl, Maggie and co were wrong either about being pissed at Rick and Michonne. As much as I wanna be you’ve never done anything wrong in your life ever about them… come on. They (well, Rick but Michonne immediately backed him up) completely kinda f_cked every one else over for something they wanted and something they felt was necessary and something they needed to honor Carl… Idk, I think it’s fair that the others are like ok we get that but sorry f_ck that, that’s not what we agreed on, that’s not why we went to war for etc etc… So they started this thing with Negan that they (well, Michonne) then drops and stops when sh_t hit the fan. However the thing that screws it all up for me is the time jump. Because you’re telling me it’s 6 years later and no one made any effort to fix the situation? And that all of that anger is still placed on Michonne? With a time jump that long that makes no sense. Because if it was that important to everybody they should have had an agreement between all the other communities and just leave Alexandria out of it etc etc. But they did none of that. Just stayed in their own respective corners and blamed everything that went wrong for them on Michonne. And yeah, that makes no sense.

Being mad at Michonne (and before that, Rick and Michonne) makes sense to me! I may not like it but it does. In theory. It’s how that storyline was executed where they lose me. For it to be the way it still was after 6 years, if nothing else, I would have needed more info on the whole situation because yeah, after 6 years, am I looking at it like… and you’re still this mad at Michonne/this is is Michonne’s fault because…??? I'll never understand the writing team's decision to keep Negan around. The worst mistake the show has ever made! Besides killing Carl. Actually... keeping Negan around and using Carl/Judith to try and redeem Negan are their top two worst decisions lol. He will never be redeemed in my eyes. Really, he's not even a good villain. Even if they had successfully redeemed him he still wouldn't be a thrilling villain. Like... you want me to fear a man who makes dick jokes? OK! And regardless... he's just not a very good character in general. I just finished rewatching the order of the phoenix with my aunt and uncle and here are some thoughts

Ron.Weasley.Supremacy. I know the movies really water him down and take away some of his core traits and give them to hermione, but I think this movie is the best for showing his true character. He stands up to everyone for Harry, he attacks grawp for hermione, he’s always looking out for Harry. when Harry says they need to go get Sirius, hermione tells him it might be a trap and Harry’s like “idc! I can’t let him die!” And Ron just immediately says “ok what do we need to do.” Gets them away from the inquisitorial squad, and Insists that Harry doesn’t need to go to the ministry alone. I love him with my whole heart! I think this movie is the best at doing him justice.

On a related note: Ron and hermione as tired parents. Harry is being angsty and angry and sad and Ron and hermione share sooo many little concerned eye glances with each other. Making sure he’s ok, setting him up with his crush, getting him to bed. They really are Mom and dad.

Romione moments in this film are subtle, but there. Hermione telling Ron he’s clever, Ron trying to save her from grawp, their mutual concern over Harry, the way she stands closer to him than Harry.

My shipper heart noticed all the subtle Hinny moments. Harry’s overjoyed and proud face when ginny used the reducto curse, the way her face fell whenever cho was mentioned. How she hung back and looked at Harry when he went to go talk to cho before their kiss. My pining girl, pretending she isn’t pining. Also hi Michael corner! He was there lol.

Big thing for me was HUGE appreciation for Harry as a character. This boy, this 15 year old boy is going through SO much. His anger and fear that it is all his fault and he is a bad person is so relatable to me right now. But when Voldemort possesses him, he can’t stay because Harry has friendship and love, and can even find it in himself to feel sorry for Voldemort. Yes Harry has deep trauma and wounds, but he also has light, and joy! He is so GOOD. He’s not perfect as we see many times. But he is at his core a good good person. And that goodness and that light carry him through these amazingly difficult things. I am just so proud of him :,)

Cho and Harry… it was so awkward hahaha. That kiss was just so stilted, the way they stayed like 10 inches apart while they kissed, I love it. It really speaks to how awkward their relationship was. Also how when hagrid came back he immediately left her to go see him. I can’t help but compare to (book, obviously) ginny and Harry’s relationship where their first kiss was 100%- no half hearted stilted kissing here! Although maybe David Yates just hates Harry having fun kisses because in HBP movie his kiss with ginny is pretty subpar too…

Umbridge was terrible as always. Also I loved Alan Rickman as snape particularly in the occulmency lessons.

Ok one more thing about Harry: he is really good at magic. In the hogs head when they keep bringing up stuff he’s done and he’s like “but I had help! It wasn’t me!” But my boy, you DID cast a patronus at 13, and you DID kill a basilisk, and you DID survive Voldemort. Sure you had help, but you’re also a pretty darn powerful wizard.

In conclusion, I love Harry. He’s amazing. Also Ron is the best friend ever.

Idk that Lissie full on pissed people off but she did take shots at Checo, Christian Horner, and the Haas guys (not incorrect info but frankly not the stuff you should be saying to keep teams happy).

Also as an Indy and F2 fan, there’s been some heavy rumors (drivers said it was her and hinted bc they mentioned it was someone dating an Indy driver but didn’t flag out name her)that she is just generally not a nice person and is very controlling, manipulative, and rude to drivers and fans.

Not to mention her content that got her fans, F1 information, news, etc kind of dropped off entirely in place of influencer content about traveling to races. Which is fine but not why many people liked her initially

Also I hate to say it but I wouldn’t be surprised if her dating an Indy driver hurt her immensely. Both because she was one of few young pretty pundits/associated people and as women we always get shit on for only be there for the guys and while that wasn’t the case (she’s kinda dating a coworker in my eyes which isn’t bad) it kinda reinforced that nonsense believe plus she may have shoehorned herself into Indy as opposed to F1 by doing that

Idk how much the comments about specific teams would have hurt her, considering she was more in with f1/Liberty than the teams really, especially McLaren and Ferrari. But maybe.

I didn’t know she had a bad rep in other series, but it kind of doesn’t surprise me. I liked her a lot for her fashion and I liked the approach she took but she didn’t have the most authentic vibe. Which I don’t fault her for because it’s a work personality but I definitely had the vibe that she wasn’t as ott sweet and bubbly as she seemed.

I kind of felt like the influencer thing happened as a result of her getting less bts opportunities not the other way round but maybe I just didn’t notice at first. I only noticed she started to up the influencer content once she didn’t have much else to do over a race weekend.

Yeah ngl if I were her I’d have dated an F1 driver or bust. Career wise, putting herself so much in the Indy market was probably not brilliant. All the publicity for being that girl that came to work and hooked up with a driver, but none of the clout of it being someone in the top tier of motorsport. She should have absolutely WORKED to get Lando lol. I’m Machiavellian like that idc.

But yeah it definitely seems like she could have taken the association with f1 a lot further than she did.

It's really remarkable how Natsuo's attitude is born from such a clumsy attempt at being mature, in a situation where it isn't even clear how much she's at fault.

Don't get me wrong, she did what she did, both with Sanae and her brother but she was like. What, 10? She probably knew she was behaving badly with Sanae, that's why she carried that guilt onto high school, but I also think... She was compelled, in a way. She tried to read those around her, find the problem, provide a solution that ended up being quite clumsy.

It's made very obvious in her backstory with Sanae that Natsuo's NEVER been good at socialising. She isn't a natural when it comes to reading the room, minding people's feelings, politeness. And it's so interesting how her brother resents her for it, but Sanae? Sanae from the FLOOR kept a cool head and tried to get her to explain herself. And Natsuo didn't. Natsuo realised she was the bad guy, and committed to the act.

It's the whole bad guy act. She took her casual hurtfulness, her mindless bluntness, and put it alongside how her actions caused the fallouts with her brother and Sanae, and was like. Ah, so this is who I am.

Obviously the theme in Teppuu is self-loathing but I look at all of the above and wonder, was it all also a clumsy attempt at being mature? At being a grown-up? Endlessly childish to think "I must own up my actions, so since these were the actions of a mfer, I will own up to them by being exactly that, and I'll act like idc about what happened bcs someone who did wouldn't have acted as I did in the first place".

Just. Contrived copium lol. Trying to regain a sense of control by doubling down on what she did, and acting like she also doesn't care who she's hurt, even thoughhhh the whole story started because she DOES she did care and she still cared when the manga ends. Trying to take responsibility by being super immature about it and refusing to open the can of worms.

Sanae foils her so well. She IS the most mature character in Natsuo's age range. She engages her directly, calls her out on her attitude, doesn't back down since they both know she's right, doesn't flinch when faced with Natsuo's taunts. And still, she has that little bit of teenage immaturity. That whole, I'll show you that doing things properly (unlike you) gets you farther (and maybe then you'll learn this lesson)

Which doesn't happen through her ofc. And it hurts her, but she also seems to reach a point after the fight that's like. Yeah, she still pisses me off. Still mad the cookie crumbled like this. But I can move on, I can let this unresolved business ordeal go.

Sanae moves on, yet Natsuo remains stuck. The parallel in what it takes to mature, the fact that they both develop as characters through a loss. You just can't have it your way all the time, you win some you lose some, sometimes it's unfair but such is life. Doesn't mean that examining WHY things are unfair is pointless. That's what Sanae seems to do that Natsuo doesn't. Sanae realises, even if I had won Natsuo wouldn't have learned what she has to learn. Her issue is with me but also not really (it's not even with her brother, it's with herself and how she relates to herself and others, it's with her unpacked repressed trauma). Fighting may prove a point but it won't solve the issue.

Just. Damn. You think it's just beef between two ex-childhood friends but it goes hard in a way that only stories about being messed up in ur teens does lol

if we're being honest sjm was never a phenomenal writer, every book lacks depth in some way and she never actually explains much about powers/characters. there's also a big theme of telling not showing (especially in cc - i mean she keeps telling us bryce is super cool and all i can see is a try hard). i only read parts of cc3 and parts of tog but i think tog and the first 2 books of acotar aren't terribly written even with a couple of the problems i said before but after acowar it really went downhill. i think it's part she has shooters now (i mean some ppl were being attacked for saying cc sucked which it does) so if it's not good they'll still read it and hype it up and she keeps writing things too fast and that might not fully be her fault so i'll giver her that. but yeah writing a whole 800 page book in a month? is not impressive, to me it just shows she didn't care to make it better and barely reviewed it. if that's the speed she's writing at then i can see why her latest books have so many problems and plot holes. she also got greedy lol. im sorry but there were what? 4 or 5 bonus chapters? and this book still feels like a cash grab idc if it makes a multiverse or not, id actually rather not ever see any of the other characters in each other's books

anyway all this to say i don't really like sjm (as a writer and now im a bit iffy as a person too), what got me was the characters but i learned a lot more about them through fanfiction than the actual books

i've also said that the 5 bonus chapters of cc3 are def feeling like a cash grab...when i tell you i saw a tiktok of some girl showing all of the different bonus chapter books off i was sick to my stomach. it's kind of out of hand some of these people lol (like the acotar balls and stuff, the ugly men they try to put into the roles, ruining the characters we love...they're fictional for a reason plz stop)

if cc has one hater it's actually me. if bryce has zero haters im dead. i most of the other characters, but bryce is a total miss for me. i love how sjm the entirety of cc3 is that the fae women aren't allowed to do anything except breed lol likeeee what? then it's basically just bryce and the men fighting the war or whatever...like what about the other women or her friends? mad side eye

thankfully i haven't been attacked about my cc opinions because ive never been quiet about them lol

i think that tog was better written, and i also liked most of acotar...maybe it's the modern setting and bryce's total cringiness that i can't get on board with

PART 2: Outside the Circle Edition

Hiii we're back, I slept and now my hair is bleached. The events are unrelated, but imagine if they weren't. Let's continue <3 This one might be a bit more controversial than the last one, because unlike with the wizard x wizard ships, there are certain ones that I do dislike this time around. I'm not sure to what extent I've said some of these things before, I used to be kinda scared of. Having opinions. It be like that sometimes idk

I'm gonna start with some Black Circle x Major fairy thoughts, because I have those! There's some interesting ones!!

Sibylla x Gantlos has some incredible art, genuinely adorable. I don't mind them at all. Actually I think I've seen Sibylla with a couple of them, but her and Gantlos >> imo. Nebula has been shipped as well, I remember at least Ogron x Nebula and Duman x Nebula, but there might be more idk. It sure is interesting, can't deny that, especially depending on when the relationship happens. Ig that'd be the case with all wizard x terrestrial fairy ships though- There are way more combinations than I'm listing rn, but I just wanna say. Making Anagan specifically someone's ex. Would be extremely funny to me. Bonus points if it's Diana.

Moving on to wizards x specialists. Those have entered my peripheral a couple of times.

I've come across Ogron x Helia, like once. Doesn't do anything for me, but if we're asking what I know? There you go. Add it to the list ig. There's also Riven x Duman (duriven), some of their art serves cunt fr, it has no right to do that. But I once had a joke conversation with someone about them sharing a dad and now I think about that sometimes when the topic of them comes up. Maybe they could have a funny friendship, but I haven't consumed any Riven content in a hot minute so who knows. Another one I actually have something to say about is Anagan x Duman x Timmy?? Terrorised by both of them the whole season, which isn't the dealbreaker, but. I already made this joke in the previous part idc Duman and Anagan really pulled a "My boyfriend and I love your vibe fr" on his ass, that's what this feels like. Intrigued! Timmy’s gonna get eaten alive though. Poor guy.

Anyway! I'm generally not the biggest fan of shipping them with specialists, maybe I just don't know enough idk- However. I cannot move on without mentioning. The dreaded Nabu x Duman (naman). Now, I don't remember who started it, not counting the fics that already existed, but I know who has been actively encouraging and enjoying this in my own social circle. So really it's her fault. The ship is funny to me, I can't say it's not. Just something about Duman going "I'd love a man that could destroy me. Like just straight up kill me lol." and it being TRUE, because mind you, Nabu killing him is a vital part of this ship. It's so stupid fr. 2/10 I do recommend.

Next is the big one. Black Circle x Winx. Ngl I struggle to keep track of all the combinations I've seen at this point, also fear having to make a part 3 so I'm just gonna. Speedrun through a couple.

Least offensive, so to say, is probably Flora x Anagan (floranagan?). I don't ship it, but I get why others might! Flora x Ogron (flogron??) has a fair bit of stuff as well, that one I get slightly less, but Flora slay ig? I don't really like any of Musa's ships, I know she at least has Musa x Gantlos and Musa x Duman, but eh. They're not for me. Neither is Duman x Tecna, I think about that combination sometimes. Also legally cannot move on without at least mentioning Stella x Duman (dumella). Duman gets around for REAL. Still interesting as a duo, but in terms of shipping I could really take or leave them. They're fine, but I'm sticking with a platonic route if any at all.

Most of these I'm just. Not the biggest fan of. Wouldn't say I'm a straight up hater, but you're probably never gonna see content of it from me, y'know??

What I am a hater of, a proud hater, is Ogron x Roxy. Some people say the winx are too young, that's fair, sure- But Roxy?? That is a CONFIRMED teenage girl. Shipped with a facial-hair-having man. At least an adult, possibly centuries old. Same goes for Roxy x Duman as well btw, the points still apply, minus the facial hair. Not a fan at all. It's a shame too, because there's plenty of fun dynamics you can try out with them that don't involve romance. Actually that goes for a lot of Black Circle x whoever outside the Circle ships.

Enter stage left, Black circle x other villains.

Starting off with the Trix, and kinda speedrunning them too, a lot of their ships I’d prefer to keep platonic as well, I think that could be fun. Don’t really get where Ogron x Stormy came from, they’re like the least likely duo to me. Maybe that’s the appeal, maybe I should brush up on my Trix knowledge. Darcy could probably have some fun dynamics as well, but again, not necessarily in a romantic way. I’ve seen her pull both Anagan and Duman though, go off bestie. Actually so has Stormy. At the same time. Icy’s ships are kinda meh to me in this, I’ve seen a couple, they just don’t really click for me. They should all hang out though, the general collab potential isn’t lost on me.

Next up! Valtor. Lots of people out here making them fight, which, valid!! But have you considered. All of them getting brunch. The Black Circle inviting Valtor over for tea. Give the man some wizard friends. Valtor x Ogron is kinda fun, but they lowkey strike me as a couple that would never last long term. If that makes sense. Public apology for Valtor x Duman (dumaltor) btw. One day I’ll explain how that happened and my involvement. Pinky promise, I still have a ship bingo to bring back so I’ll do it there.

Dishonourable mention to ships with Kalshara. Sort of honourable mention to Ogron x Jason, not a villain ship but idk where else to put it. Brought up by a friend, they’re facial hair besties, it’s fun and silly.
