Will forever be mad at how canon absolutely WASTED the potential their sibling dynamics could've had. The Tanizakis? Sure sometimes we get Junichirou going apeshit over Naomi being threatened but. That's it? Beyond that there's only creepy jokes, no normal interactions. The Akutagwas? We see them together ONCE. And Gin's presence in that episode was more of a tool to introduce Katai. Where's the drama? The worry? They're both front liners for a strong and dangerous organisation. Hell Akutagawa almost died fighting Atsushi. Granted we didn't know at that point and Gin does swoop in to save him. Never do we see them talk after that episode.

Like look at BEAST. They did such a good job with it. Gin's an actual person too.

Imagine the parallels we could've had. How one pair interacts because they were brought up in the mafia compared to the other getting to live in a normal(ish) environment.

Maybe that wouldn't work so well given Noami's a non combatant but ugghhh.

I present to thee: Low iron! Going off of the steady trope (and seemingly canon) of chronically overworking, I like to think that Higuchi has probably had her fair share of blackening vision upon standing.

It can also occur if a person has been sitting/laying down for a long period of time, though (from my experience) not to the degree that low iron does.

Just to clarify, I am not headcanoning anemia. Just, low iron. So perhaps not eating enough meat/tofu/etc. I find it fun how tofu is actually a potential source of iron. It's all very interesting to me.

Higuchi is Such an overworker...I think she's the type to make sure everyone around her is eating well and getting nutrients they need (namely Akutagawa but she totally does this to Tachihara and Gin too) and then accidently neglect to do the same for herself...I think she definitely wouldn't connect the dots either, she almost blacks out one day and she's like okay that must be because I only slept for 3 hours last night

When Gintoki and Hijikata flirt with Tae in the switch soul arc, i find her response very interesting to say at least, saying she would stay with the one who has more money but... it's so obvious Hijikata has a better income than Gin! He is a deputy commander that works for the goverment, and Gintoki have months where he didn't even earn a coin! So why couldn't Tae just say "Hijikata seems to be a better choice", huh?
