hello!! i'm about to ramble a bit about a silly question that i have! so i apologize in advance <3 and please forgive me if this has been asked before, i feel like i saw a post about this a while back but i can't seem to find it?? i'm not sure. (also, last preface, i haven't read A&M yet, so i'm also very sorry if this is covered in there!! please feel free to ignore this if so).

anyways, so, how do prayers work in the Angels universe? if a human were to pray to an angel (or even to a demon, for that matter), can that being hear their prayer? or does it just, like... go into the void? lmao. and is said angel/demon able to reply to their prayers? just, in general, many questions about how praying works here. i was thinking about this the other day and was wondering what some of your characters would think about receiving prayers if they could hear them <3

so angels and demons don't hear prayers, but angels might be told by God that a human is praying to them, and God might be upset about it if the prayer feels like worship — but in some cases, God does send the angel down to whoever's praying to them. That said, I think angels can feel it a little. They feel like something is calling them, but they don't know why or what for. So they mostly toss and turn in bed about it. (I think Michael, who gets a lot of prayers, feels a huge weight of responsibility on his shoulders that he doesnt know how to alleviate; he can feel people depending on him, but he can't help them unless God tells him how).

Demons, since they're cut off from god, can also kinda feel that someone is praying but there's no easy way to find the people who worship them. They like the prayers though. If they manage to find who's praying, they tend to work out a deal with their worshipper happily/easily. Unfortunately, it's rare for them to find the worshippers.

Oh and Lucifer loves being prayed to, even by humans, and loves being worshipped, as I'm sure you can imagine.

xiao knew how much it inconvenienced you to be so tall, though he would argue that your height is rather a gift than a misfortune, so to make you feel better, he would often tell you that you should much prefer being tall because being short has not exactly(not ever) been in his favor. he never seemed to run out of tales from when the other yasksha were alive about how much of a pain it was being the shortest and significantly shorter than all of them, often rambling about how much they teased him for it. he also told you that every once in a while some idiot would come along that didn't recognize him as an adeptus, and instead would mistake him for a child, which he thought to be highly annoying. though, aside from his anti-short rambles, he never failed to remind you that you shouldn't worry about your height so much because he loves you just the way you are.

"shut up," he would say every time you complained about how you didn't like being so tall. over and over again he would scold you and tell you that he cared not about such things, so why should you? whether it be scolding you, kissing you into silence, or interrupting you in the middle of your rambles to tell you that you were beautiful tall or not, he would always remind you that you're more than perfect in his eyes and that your insecurity toward your height, or anything else for that matter, was irrelevant to him. "plus," he teased, "i quite like it that you're tall. that way, you can reach things for me that i can't!" he would then follow up his teasing remarks with a playful wink.

"no stress!" he would exclaim after you expressed your insecurities about being as tall as you were. then, with a gentle wave of his hands, a gust of wind brushed by the grass nearby before he was lifted up just an inch or so taller than you. so from then on, when alone with you, he would pull this trick when you walked together. however, he couldn't do this near others-- because of course, the people couldn't know of his true nature as barbatos. instead, he would find any other way to appear taller than you, whether it be climbing on things in the surrounding area or wearing some sort of platforms or stilts. while it was all very silly, admittedly, it made you feel much better.

ok so we all know and love my bestie luigi. so he. may or may not have remade kin home depot (the server he made in retaliation against walmart, but has been deleted for a number of years) and guess who comes in !!! out of nowhere !!!! Explanation: starting off of the parents I think that Tim would absolutely find you attractive and he would think that you’re one of the cutest people he saw all day. He would love your heart shaped face and love your curly hair with the red tips at the end and think that it made you stand out from other people, and I feel like his eyes would just be subtly on you as he walked by.  he’s also pretty short and I feel like it would be kind of a running joke between the both of you if you weren’t insecure about being short, of course. He’s not super clumsy, but he thinks the fact that you’re kind of a klutz is utterly hilarious and he will laugh at you a bit before helping you up with a smile. I honestly don’t hc him as being very interested in sex, so I think he would totally be fine with you being a sexual and willing to skip over that part of your relationship. He also really loves physical affection too, (to a limit) so I feel like he would be all about cuddling with you and hugging and kissing. But I also feel like he would need a break sometimes from that which you would totally respect. But he would love climbing through your window late at night, laying down in bed with you and just talking and having those deep late night conversations. So Tim is the type of person that doesn’t really use alarms and he doesn’t really get much sleep either. He’s very intelligent and mostly thrives on coffee and very much stays up late and doesn’t get enough sleep so I feel like he wouldn’t be as chaotic as you, but I feel like he would help wake him up a little bit in a way that even coffee can’t I feel like you guys would perfectly balance each other out because he’s definitely a bit more of a tired guy and you’re definitely a bit more oh my gosh, look at that look at this. Watch me do this! Type of person. It also works in vice versa because I feel like he could kind of be your melatonin a bit and help you kind of remember to relax calm down. Take one step at a time not in the way that’s squashing your excitement and chaotic kindness, of course, but more than a way that just kind of grounds you. He’s a bit of a nerd too and comes off a little bit awkward when he’s not in his red Robin superhero persona where he hast to be smooth and he’s just in regular old Tim Drake so I think you guys would kind of be together because you could bond over that a bit and kind of feel like the other person is way smoother or something than you and feel like you guys are really on the same page. I feel like Tim also kind of needs you because he definitely doesn’t take care of himself and it’s kind of funny your relationship because he’s going to tell you oh don’t break the law and you’ll be like well. You take care of yourself you have a broken arm you shouldn’t even be, doing that anyway and then you guys will both stare at each other like “shit. Just have a little reading and music dates where you sit down and just vibe and then maybe later talk about your books and I feel like he’s the type of person that after reading a book would love to come up with all sorts of theories about it And things like that because he is a better detective than Bruce Wayne himself in canon. I feel like Tim would love film theory (the YouTube channel). Anyway, I feel like you guys could also go on hikes together and that’s something that he would enjoy. 

Explanation: starting off with physical attraction I think that Steve would be very attracted to you and think you’re extremely beautiful. He would love your heart shaped face and the way you look like some sort of animated character just popped right out of television and in front of him and he would think that your hair is super cool, but he would never tell that to you until you were way further in the relationship. He is a lot taller than you and would love picking you up and spending you around and teasing you about being short and because you’re so clumsy, he would probably be jokingly calling you “dummy” a lot while fully knowing that you could definitely beat him in any academic test easy.
