This was probably already bubbling before tonight. About two weeks ago, the Jackles had hired a couple of assistant managers. There was one in particular that gave you pause. You knew her; everyone on the team knew her. Not personally, of course. She was notorious for her affair with a captain of another team down in Okinawa. The scandal was in every magazine across Japan for weeks. It was a shitshow. The captain had to leave the team, and his wife left him, not that he didn't deserve that. And she was forced to step away as well. But it seemed that it didn't damage her professional reputation too much as the Jackles so quickly hired her.

After the game, you saw her throw herself onto Atsumu and gush about how amazing he was. She had his hands all over him.

If you had taken two seconds to process things, you would have seen that he was uncomfortable.

It was outside the locker room, so there was no press, but you were there, and before you knew it, you grabbed onto her hair, pulling her away. She yelled something about you being "A crazy bitch" before walking off.

Now you were sitting in the car, scratched up with a sore scalp, giving your boyfriend the silent treatment. "Baby, I swear, I was gonna tell 'er off, but ya didn't give me a chance." You stayed quiet, still not looking at him. "Fine, how 'bout I get yer favorite food and give ya all the cuddles ya want." You look at him, arms still crossed on your chest, and grumble, "And we watch a movie.". He smiled a bit and chuckled. "Okay, anythin' ya want. You kinda scare me now, babe."

Hinata:

It took Hinata a minute to process what was happening, and as soon as he did, it took all his strength to pull you two away from each other. After that, you two quickly ran off before the girl returned with the security. You make it outside and lean in an alley while trying to catch your breath when Hinata pipes up, still out of breath.

"Wow, Y/N, when did you get so strong? You have to teach me how to fight like that." He looked at you in awe; honestly, you couldn't help but laugh. You had to admit that you were a tad embarrassed by your outburst. How could you ever let your jealousy get the better of you? He was perfect and absolutely adored you, even in this situation,

Ask time! What era/type of art would you say you draw the most inspiration from?

oh god this is really hard. Mostly because my inspirations are all over the place! One is 2010's webcomics! A very broad category, I know, but I was really into reading comics when I was in highschool, and a lot of amazing ones were coming out around that time. The Meek (Der-shing Helmer), HINABN (Tess Stone), Lackadaisy (Tracy Butler), and anything by Evan Dahm (the artist behind Riceboy/Vattu/etc). I somehow avoided Homestuck, but Prequel Adventure (Kazerad) rewired my little Oblivion-Obsessed brain.

Speaking of Oblivion - the concept art for all three mainline games in the Elder Scrolls series did SO much for my imagination. Adam Adamowicz is one of my all time favorite artists, and I think his work on Oblivion was overlooked because of his (also stellar) work in Skyrim. There's an entire flickr album of his concept art for TES IV, though, and I recommend it! What that man could do with art markers bewilders me even now. I think this might be the single most impactful art influence I have.

The close runner-up would be the aforementioned Evan Dahm's work. I think he's still, years later, criminally underrated in terms of public appreciation and discussion. For me, Rice Boy blew open so many doors regarding art style, presentation, and character design. Vattu then stunned with just how much of an epic it was and it's fantastic titular main character. Now 3rd Voice is perhaps his most technically beautiful comic yet, and seems to meld the weirdness of Rice Boy with Vattu's super gripping character arcs and worldbuilding.

The way his comics are paced (both in story and the literal pacing of how he organizes his panels/the art in them) is my favorite...ever. Even though they're simple, he just gets the framing down so perfectly it's crazy. The fact he can make such alien characters so human in how they act and how we view them astounds me. I really do - no hyperbole or empty flattery intended - think he's a modern day comics master and I need more people to discuss his body of work.

Also all of his comics are FREE to read on his website rice-boy[dot]com! They're also on webtoon if you're already dedicated to that platform, and the blog @riceboycomic was basically a republishing of Rice Boy with added artist commentary. If you're not ready to dive into the behemoth that is Vattu yet (its over 1000 pages, though it's so worth it), 3rd Voice is his newest work and you can catch up to the current page (288) within an hour. Rice Boy is also pretty short, under 500 pages. Please do yourself a favor and get lost in one of the quiet, uncanny, heartfelt worlds he's created (and then talk to me about it pleaaaseee).

You've come to the right place!

First off is Ebenholz. Arknights has many nukers, but (so far) only one of them quite literally erases enemies in the blink of an eye. He's gotten a reputation for being bad due to Mystic Caster mechanics making him quite unwieldy to use, but honestly once you've gotten the hang of his S3 you start seeing many ways where the ability to snap one dude out of existence without even a chance to fight back is quite useful for strategy.

Ebenholz's burst damage is even so large that there's a Trials for Navigator clear that involves using him to skip both Andoain's and Emperor's Blade's defensive fart clouds: he simply erases their HP from full to 0, putting them into their phase 2 animation before they can fart and keeping the stage gas-free.

Next up is Dorothy. Trapmasters in general are my favorite Specialist class and I've got Robin and Frost both kitted out too. Dorothy takes it to the next level with her S3 being able to create chain reactions: if an S3 mine hits another S3 mine with its explosion, the second mine will detonate as well. With clever trap positioning and knowledge of enemy routes, Dorothy can hold entire sections of a stage by herself, if not outright solo them.

Also Dorothy users in CN claim that her module upgrade is actually insanely broken. At module level 3 it doubles her talent numbers from +20% ATk at full stacks to +40%, which takes her over 1000 ATK. It's such a large jump that it actually matches the damage output of buffing base Dorothy with an S2M3 Skadi Alter at E2L90. Combined with the ability of her traps to crit, and Dorothy has the highest possible DPH in the game (her S1M3 trap can crit for 9k physical damage lmao). She also happens to have an ATK interval of 0.85s, faster than even Marksman snipers, so that huge ATK buff makes the actual operator a fearsome damage unit in her own right.

"but Siege is powercreeped" shut up. Go use S3M3 then buff her with Warfarin and Aak and watch as she deals 7k physical damage per hit, smashing even Patriot's Shieldguards and Plastic Knight's shield minions to bits. It heals the soul.

Also, Siege mounts a comeback with her upcoming second module, where Siegepipe matches the DP generation of even Flagpipe while also being able to fight completely automatically by both of them running S2. It's an insanely strong opening move and is definitely going to be my vanguard combo of choice when it comes to Global.

"Waaahhh waah this boss is kicking my ass!" well have you ever thought about just not playing with that boss at all?

Heavyrain is the first, the only, and probably forever will be the only operator able to give camouflage to other units. It is not balanced. As long as your units aren't blocking anything or aren't under sources of enemy True Sight, you can get away with some of the dumbest, most ridiculous cheese you can pull on a boss. Hide from the Emperor's Blade's fart clouds. Hide from Andoain's map scan. Hide from Sui-Xiang's massive tail. Hide from Minimalist's bomber drone looking to stun. If they have a targeted skill, you can cheese it.

You were quite a well known interviewer and had developed quite the following. You'd interviewed countless celebrities at this point in your career, some more famous than others (not that it mattered to you all that much) but most of them very sweet.

The interview game was quite competitive or atleast more competitive than most would think. It was always a race to interview the most relevant celebrities. You had never been all that phased though, you enjoyed your job and yes as much as it was important for you to stay relevant you found that it was just as important that you interviewed celebrities you liked.

So that's what you did, but there was one celebrty on your mental list that you haven't interviewed. Bella Ramsey. Bella was with no doubt the celebrty you wanted to interview most, it wasn't that she didn't want to do the interview or that she was to busy no you just hadn't actually reached out to her manager yet.

You thought it was silly honestly. This was something you had wanted to do for ages but everytime you began typing the email you'd overthink and immediately stop yourself all because of the stupid crush you had on Bella.

It wasn't that stupid of a crush, it was totally justified in your mind because i mean who didn't have a crush on her? It made you so fustrated, you wanted to interview her more than anything in the world, why couldn't you just do it?

Here you were sitting infront of your laptop staring at the email you drafted to send to Bella's manager. You must've read it 1000 times, you checked every word for spelling mistakes and made sure your sentances were structured proffenssionly but it still didn't seem right. You were arguing with yourself, half of you saying this was perfect the other saying that it felt like a stranger wrote it.

You ended up scrapping it but this time you were going to do it properly. It was short and sweet and you made sure that it actually sounded like it came from you, even though you weren't 100% happy with it, you decided to send it.

The next morning when you woke up the first thing you did was check your emails and to your surprise, you already recieved a response. Bella wanted to do the interview with you!From there you and her manager discussed the time and date and you also gave her the studios address.

The day had finally arrived and you were ecstatic. You were going to finally get to interview the Bella Ramsey. It truly was a dream come true. The morning dragged on far longer than you'd liked but eventually the time came for you to head to the studio.

You were talking with the camera man making sure all was set and ready to go when Bella and her manager walked in. You stood there for far to long trying process that it was actually happening before snapping back to reality and going over to greet them.

Bella was nicer then you could have ever imagined. She was kind and gentle but most importantly she seemed just as happy to be here as you which gave you a sense of comfort. After telling Bella's manager that she could sit just off camera, you two decided to get started.

You waited for the camera man's signal and then began. "Hello welcome back to Zee Network I'm y/n and today im here with Bella Ramsey." you said with a smile on your face. "Hello!" they gave a quick wave and smile to the camera.

"Thank you for joing us today Bella, may i ask what has your experience been with the media lately? With release of the last of us series, you have gotten alot more recognition what is that like?" you were fiddling with the mic in your hands, another thing that you were known for was not reading from a script which normally was fine but today it really wasn't any help.

"I would say I've had a bit of a mixed experience lately. I have received many new fans and loads of support but i have also recieved a significant amount of hate. I try not to let it affect me but every now and again i will read a comment that really cuts deep. I appreciate the recognition i have gained and sometimes we just have to take the good with the bad." she told you, she seemed torn between loooking at the camera or at you but ended up deciding to look at you.

The interview continued on for a few minutes before Bella finally spoke up, "Do i make you nervous?," she had very clearly seen you fidgeting with the mic, you looked at her extremely confused what to say next. Was Bella Ramsey flirting with you? No, you were sure that you were just jumping to crazy conclusions.

"A little bit, I've wanted to do this interview for a while i guess im just a bit nervous to mess things up," you tried laughing it off. "I've also wanted to do this interview for a while, I've seen your work and you seemed like such a cool person now i know i was right,"

She absolutely was flirting with you. Now the way you saw it was you cluld continue the interview like normal and stay 100% professional or you could flirt back. You chose the latter.

You tried to do be smooth about it (trying to avoid the camera man noticing so that you wouldn't get yelled at) but still obvious enough for Bella to notice.

When the interview was over you walked over to the concessions table to grab some water but were called over by the camera man. He scolded you lightly for your behavior this interview but said he'd let it slide one time.

After being scolded by her manager Bella made her way over to you, she said she wanted to apologize but you told her it really wasn't a big deal.

"I meant what i said though, you seem cool and i'd really like to hang out sometime," now it was her turn to be nervous. "like a date?" it was an incredibly bold move but you were willing to take your chances. " yea, like a date." she flashed you a hopeful smile and of course you said yes.

Bella then handed you a small white paper with their number and a small 'can't wait to talk to you' scribbled on with black ink before scurrying off with her manager to the car that was currently waiting for them.

Man, that recent episode of Dungeon Meshi hits hard...

Makes me think very, very deeply about the entire narrative and the meaning of it all, the very meaning of life with how the food chain functions and how fundamentally INESCAPABLE the ecosystem is... that a human being can be so easily seen as a mere nourishing bundle of fat and sinews...

This tonal shift also does make me think about ULTRAKILL as well. Now this may seem like a bit of a stretch, a jump, (especially since I am not caught up on the narrative of Dungeon Meshi), but hear me out (Violence Spoilers ahead btw)

ULTRAKILL is fundamentally thematically about Violence, and a certain kind of it. The Violence that reduces a human being to a splatter of blood, the Violence of a machine who is inherently DEFINED by Violence, how the entire Violence layer is the game's narrative way of cementing the implications that your actions have had over the course of the entire game.

Now my thoughts would be messy, trying to compile the thematic bombshell that is Layer 7, Violence, so I will focus on the part that hit me harder than anything else:

1000-THR "Earthmover"

Just the name alone is so loaded, a Machine so large it causes one's perception of their surroundings to fade away, and stand in awe of this singular, perfect pinnacle of Violence, a machine that stands at the apex of the arms race of the final wars, a perfect representation of Violence, for it is a being that is defined by Violence so completely, and so perfectly, that it really is the only way it could have ended. What hits me about it so hard is that throughout all of Violence, the game has been hitting you over and over again with the impact and implications of your actions, but with the Earthmover? That's just... everything...

1000-THR "Earthmover" has left nothing left, 7-4 "...Like Antennas to Heaven" hits so colossally hard that it's hard to get all my thoughts into words, it feels like an impossibility almost. But one thing I can say is how beautifully it paints the horrific meaning of "Blood is Fuel" when it's exhaust vents are opened up.

That moment, when the music in the background changes from a quaking, all encompassing song of Violence, to a towering, harrowing lament, as if to draw attention to what the Earthmover is... the way the smoke that comes out isn't white like steam, or black like coal or oil, but is RED. There is not a single part of this machine that is built for Violence, that is not fueled by Violence. Crushed Bone and Cut Sinew are the only things that can define it. It's not so much a travesty that it exists this way, but with how complete it is conceptually with it's Violence, with how it came into existence in the first place...

God I am saying a lot here but I really do hope what I'm saying strikes an accord. Dungeon Meshi is such an insanely fucking good narrative, and ULTRAKILL probably has one of my favorite narratives (and just about everything) that I've seen presented in a game. Ever.

yourusername welcome to my postgame penalty box update: i’m going to be a sap because of my best friend edition! this was a heartbreaking loss, but quinn kicked some serious ass tonight. in his postgame interview, he went on to explain why this game wasn’t their best. i’m not going to argue, but quinn, my favorite hughes of the day, you were really hughesing tonight! (warning: this next part is zero silly goosing and pure love babies)

during his 28:33 minutes of ice time, my best friend scored the opening goal of the game 6:06 into the game! jamie has photographic proof that i immediately burst into tears at this from pure joy and pride. this was his sixth of the season, for real this time, so this goal gave him his 70th point of the season! he is continuing to beat his points in a single season for a d-man in the canucks record!

quinny baby’s second point of the night came in second period at 18:26, where he got his 65th assist on brock’s goal! once again adding to his record point season!

here’s where it gets extra special: quinn’s third point of the night happened at 19:06 in third period. how did he get this third point? WITH ANOTHER GOAL BABY!!! LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN!!! my best friend scored the equalizer and brought the game into OT! i cried even harder this time, and trevor did NOT have a fun time with that! (i’m not sorry)

to summarize: quinn now has 7 goals, 65 assists, and 72 points this season! he had his second career multi goal game, and has beat his previous record of most multi point games for a d-man in a season for the canucks’ franchise to 20 to 21 games! happy quinn hughes night everyone! all of this on the four year anniversary of his first nhl point! and his fourth game without a penalty!

I don’t think Activision realizes the absolute treasure chest they have in front of them with Soap and Ghost. I realize there is a less than 1% chance GhostSoap ever becomes canon so I won’t bother putting my clown hat on, but to have the chance to put an openly canon gay couple in not just one of the largest video game franchises in history, but a video game franchise centered around the military is something the developers are fools to not grab onto.

I haven’t picked up a CoD game since 2012 when they started to really lean into the online play and left the campaigns as little to nothing, and even back when the campaigns were the bread and butter, there was very little deep-level plot focus. Then I hear a snippet about the subtext of these two characters in the latest game and was intrigued enough to say “no way they did that, I have to check it out”. Fast forward to me downloading a CoD game for the first time in 10 years and it becoming one of my favorite campaigns ever.

Fast forward more to me telling my gamer friends about the crazy subtext they put in for these two characters, and every single one of them, whether they played CoD before or not, went and bought the game and are also now fully in. Just the tiniest hint of the crazy possible idea of a gay love story in a military game snagged 5 people in the course of a week.

Let alone if you dive into the GhostSoap ship tags and see the 1000s of people who have never played CoD but are so invested in their dynamic. Just imagine what Activision could do if they unlocked the LGTBQ+ side of the gaming community (which is a large and proud fucking community by the way).

And before the people start going “it’s a shooter game it’s an action game it’s not suppose to be romantic ewww kissing!” might I remind you romance isn’t handcuffed to one form of expression and can be as subtle as terms of endearment, pointed glances, dialogue choices, playful quips, on and on

And it can also be two thiccc ass special ops grabbing each other before a mission and placing soft forehead kisses and saying “come back to me” before they part
