For quite some time, I knew that it was important for us to find a new space for teaching. But it didn't become real until the rains came and the roof opened up, and literally flushed us out of the room. As I've learned to do ever since my commitments to my Higher Power - to build with me and do with me as Thou wilt, I've followed the signs and listened to the urgings and omens of the Universe, and this time, Saturn said "it's Time..." and the Hermit said "...to strike out on your own". And so I made the terrifying decision to leave my comfortable, amazing and established job at House of Intuition. And to establish 22 Teachings as its own entity and to grow it into the magical institution that I am capable of creating with the support of my amazing students. Everyday is strange as I vacillate between "what the hell was I thinking"? And "I know 100% that this is right". The cards today don't lie. The Tower, 10 of Wands, six of Cups. To be honest, and not to have a huge ego. To be open to learn from situations and people, and not dismiss something because they can’t understand it or imagine to be in the person’s shoes. To do their best, and not always settle for less, because it is easy and lazy and available.

To strive to be better.. always, to know that the best is yet to come, to be willing to contribute to the chorus in a symphony.. knowing that your contribution is crucial to keep the tone and the rhythm playing in the whole stadium. A powerful, humbling feeling.

To not give up. To fight all those voices that tell you to give up, even when they sound so soothing and the thought of quitting feels so relieving.

but it’s the 10 of wands. You’re tired.. and about to reach that village, where you can put your burdens down. You see the village on the horizon... but it feels so far.

You know focusing on the burdens won’t get you far, so you decide to focus on what’s coming.. all those wonderful things you so want to a degree, the idea of even having them, scares you a bit.

Having the courage to do all this, repeatedly, is what makes us human.

we’re still here, still alive, still doing it, or trying to do it.
