does anyone have any ideas for treating headaches if you're not supposed to be taking NSAIDs? please note that tylenol and acetaminophen DO NOT work for me. i know tumblr isn't a doctor but i'm crowdsourcing here

#i'm not supposed to take nsaids because of ~gi bleeding~ but i do it anyway because it's the only thing that actually works on me #my doctor isn't. happy about this #anyway.#i'm not supposed to take any nsaids right now because i have a procedure on tuesday and i'm supposed to quit 5 days in advance #should be easy right? it's not like i take them like candy! it's just a few doses a month!#nah of course yesterday i get a headache. starts mild. i try to just ride it out & drink fluids & take a nap & asked my aunt for tylenol #doesn't go away. becomes a splitting headache in the middle of the night & i cannot sleep. eventually i break down at 3 am & take ibuprofen #finally fall asleep pain-free at 4 am #and i just??? i hope this isn't an issue since the procedure is still 4 days out? i will try to avoid taking it again??#but like What Am I Supposed To Do

Going through a straight up comical amount of irritating situations to get the stupid 4* guaranteed ticket from the welcome to sekai campaign. It Will Be Mine.

#I’m resuming this tomorrow it’s been hours now I’m just mad #I’m home because my parents are moving to a different state and I needed to pack whatever was left #and for some reason we just keep old devices when we’re done with them #so I borrow an adapter to allow me to connect my ancient unworking iPad mini to my laptop #factory reset it. i have to reset an old email to access the old Apple id to fully reset it.#it won’t connect to the wifi so I have to reset the settings. i find out it’s too old to run pjsk.#i find an old phone that should work. i reset it as well. I’m able to download pjsk & it takes 20 minutes.#pjsk crashes everytime I try to open it. i attempt to run bluestacks on my computer. bluestacks doesn’t have 64 bit for mac yet.#i get a free trial of parallels and download windows onto my laptop. this takes 40 minutes.#i try to download and run bluestacks on that. m1 macs apparently can’t run bluestacks 64 bit through parallels.#i go find the final old phone that I had forgotten about. it takes forever to charge because the charging port is fucked up. i reset it as #well. it can’t connect to wifi. i try a hotspot on my current phone. service is too awful. i try to do wifi sharing from my laptop.#you have to be connected to the router via a cable for that to work.#at this point it has been like 3 hours. I’m giving up because I’ve been down this route before #when I attempted to run 32 bit steam games on m1 mac #(wine64 doesn’t exist for m1 macs yet -> attempt to run boot camp -> boot camp isn’t a thing anymore on Apple silicon -> attempt to run #several different programs that allow me to run windows on a mac. none of them work. ->#look into linux & give up. -> attempt to implement the unfinished/unbottled wine64 code thru terminal. ->#fuck up and delete some important file & have to fix that (misery inducing) -> keep trying. i think I downloaded a Mac coding program at #some point? i realize I have zero coding knowledge and this is a mistake. -> give up and purchase crossover. game doesn’t even work. ->#3 months later update to the latest OS so I can have enough storage to play psychonauts 2. find out the $60 crossover #purchase was a bad idea because ‘heehee crossover doesn’t work on that buy the new version’ (fuck crossover).#my toxic trait is my belief that I can figure out anything via google and sheer stubbornness. usually this is true. occasionally there are #exceptions to this rule. most of them are because owning Apple products is a mistake.#i think if I reset the router tomorrow I can solve this problem but I can also just go elsewhere with better service or wait until I’m home #now it’s a matter of pride. and also free 4*/I have nothing better to do because I’m stuck here until Tuesday.#<- this is all normal behavior by the way. who doesn’t spend 8 hours ramming their head against a problem every once and a while. enrichment #mine #oh I forgot. i also looked into cloning the app but that would cost money for something that might not even work.#‘just log out and make an alt’ and risk losing my account? In our divorce/custody agreement, baby daddy was told he needs to learn how to use a car seat. Babe is 18 months old now and he STILL is using it incorrectly, so I have to check every 👏🏻 fucking 👏🏻 time 👏🏻, especially considering he’s totaled two cars. There’s no way I’m letting him take my entire heart and soul and jeopardize her life.

#in July he didn’t strap her in and when I said that to him #he told me SHE UNBUCKLED IT HERSELF #SHE WAS 8 MONTHS OLD #today he showed up and the car seat wasn’t attached with the tethers or the seatbelt #and he tried to put her into the car seat while I stood in the rain watching #and really was buckling her in instead of fixing the car seat #so I had to take her out #wait on the porch #and let him fix it #he finally left the house 20 min after pick up time #she also has a fungal rash that’s persisted for the last 5 months #from sitting in a dirty diaper at his house #she’s with him Tuesday and Fridays #and on the days between it ALMOST goes away #then it comes back #because baby daddy and his dog don’t take care of my poor girl #I fucking hate them #(luckily he only has her for 4 hrs both days)

im so annoyed with everything today, i think i need some tasty food and a million hours of sleep and then I'll be back to normal

#the teacher at the first class today was so dibsjdhdhdhdhsgs 😫#like she was teaching us things that are like unrelated to the class that shes teaching so idek why she was teaching it #but also its things that we have been learning since the 1st semester and we've done them in at least 10 classes and she was acting like #this was the 1st time we were hearing about it #like oh yeah we're on the 7th semester of studying nutrition but no one bothered to tell us how many calories are in a gram of fat #and she gave us homework 'to see if we know this' like #oh yes i can make a meal plan for a child with crohns or cystic fibrosis or celiac disease or everything else we've done this semester and #all the other semesters but i guess i cant tell you what micronutrients are in this one breakfast meal #like fuck off and stick to what you're supposed to be teaching #anyway i know im getting more annoyed than i should but she was just even more annoying than usual today #like she interrupted the lesson every 5 minutes to yell at someome to be quiet i wasnt even aware there were people talking until she yelled #anyway #also my new earphones aren't working well idk why ive definitely not been mistreating them that much for them to break in less than a month #like i had my old pair for at least 4 years until the broke and i dont think the wire got cut in them like the sound was coming out weird #but there was sound coming out. in the new ones you need to hold them in a very specific angle for sound to come out #and like im careful with how i put them away so what is up with them?#my theory is that they make wired earphones shitty on purpose so that you will spend a lot of money and buy wireless #also we had said from Tuesday that we would hang out with my friends today but i guess they forgot or idk and they made other plans #(to go home and sleep) and during the weekend the one friend wont be here and next week my family will be here so we probably wont hang out #again until next year and we have exams almost immediately so we wont be hanging out much then either #also my period is supposed to come soon and i hope that it will either come today or it will wait until after Christmas #ideally it will never come ever again but we cant always get what we want #anyway im gonna go eat the rest of my μεσογειακό and go take a nap #jo says stuff #personal ramblings

#i slept 4 hours and got up and got back to work to get the reds done orz #but I didn't want to take longer than 20 minutes nap or I'd screw myself but #i stayed up til almost bedtime and now i can sleep it off and get back to my Get Shit Done schedule ✌️#tomorrow unless designs happen to sell in the next 10 hours i will be working on #bust edits for the last 3 from remainders cuz I don't think any of those 3 are gonna sell as is #shame tho 3 is my fave but i dare not keep her and so. busts #and then i finish the final sketch set i started in august which i think you're gonna like #and THEN. touching up the last of the tinies customs and if if i have time. one drawing for myself at the end of the day to wind down #tuesday is sketch comms day #and Wednesday i finish the sprite adopt i started too #I'm actually not sure how well that one is gonna sell tho cuz it'll be a sketch reference + cropped sprite edit and therefore more expensive #but it's just to see if that's anything people are into!#like uhhh the reid redraw sprites #OH IF I HAVE TIME i should finish elvens sprite redo this month

nothing like breaking a month long reading slump by reading 300 pages in a day

#text post #what broke the reading slump you might ask?#i signed up for a summer reading program through my local library and it's to read 900 mins in 2 months #which amounts to 15 minutes of reading a day #and my brain went 'i doubt they keep track of who reads the most minutes.... but it COULD be me'#and here we are #so I've now read 259 of my 900 minutes lmao #i read about a page a minute #but also im going to a book launch event on tuesday for the 3rd book in a trilogy and the month long reading slump in may #means i now have until june 4th to cram books one and two in preparation #i read book one when i first came out 4 years ago and then didn't get around to reading book two when it came out #and at this point i need a book one refresher before i can read book 2 #so im cramming a little under 850 pages 3 days lol #i read book one when IT first came out. not i. i came out like 8 years ago

i say this every. single. fucking. exam season. but i genuinely dont know how much longer i can keep this up bc.... my brain Refuses To Study like its just. incapable of it. im incapable of sitting down and thinking "i need to study bc i have an exam in [x] days and i need to pass it" and then actually following through with it. i just think and think and think about how i need to study. and somehow my brain THINKS that that's enough to show up to the exam and like.... pass it? when its clearly not!!!!! not even going to the library helps me anymore i dont even do anything there either. so i just wonder if theres something wrong with my brain or if its just that ive trained myself since the pandemic to be lazy as fuck and ignore all of my responsibilities???

#im so scared that its the later #either way i blame the pandemic for it bc being locked up at home for months on end did nothing good to my brain #i already had trouble studying before the pandemic (after coming back from the US) and lockdown just made it 10x worse #the last time i think i truly studied for something was selectividad/college entrance exams and that was. 4 years ago already #what i mean by 'truly studying' is that i studied enough to where i knew i needed to get good grades. bc now i just think 'oh a 5 is enough #when if i want to do research apparently its not. i dont wanna be locked up in an office w a bunch of conservative farmer's kids #with agronomy degrees doing the PAC for landowners. like i refuse to let that be my future #but at the same time. unless something is extremely imminent (like my exam on tuesday) i will not worry about it at all #until it has already slapped me in the face #xarraire
