Listen to "Asian-American Pop" on TIDAL
Check out this playlist on TIDAL: "Asian-American Pop" https://tidal.com/playlist/d0972376-f5f1-4182-8916-9fca74874e13
Enjoying the Tidal AAPIHM playlists.
I've actually been listening to just a lot more Asian artists and trying to discover more pop music from Asia. Yes, Korea but also the Philippines and someone posted a fun track from a Vietnamese artist recently and I went down a rabbit hole.
There are just so many talented musicians out in the world. I love that about music. You can always find someone or a new group no matter how old you are.
Also, found a new music blog to check out from the Netherlands.

Days 9 and 10 - Xanthe Zhou and Cassandra Cain from DC Comics
Spirit World #1, which features these two, just came out this week. I don't pick up comics often these days, but it's a cool premise and the art is awesome.

Like any other group, Asians and Asian Americans obviously have their own conflicts. But they're taught to invest in external ideologies that hurt them as a path to "progress." the taste of tangerines, 1/9 A heritage language is a language learned and spoken in the home, but not in the dominant society. Although it's a common belief that heritage speakers are fluent in their home language, this is not always the case. Limited ability to communicate in one's heritage language is a source of shame, so this topic is not often discussed. "The Taste of Tangerines" is a story about a speaker whose proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Spanish influences their feelings of belonging toward their culture. This comic aims to open a conversation on the topic and show people who relate to this struggle that despite differing languages, there are others like them. next
