You waved your hand over your face, getting rid of the smoke, with a cough you look up to see mammon, the sin of greed, munching on a drumstick

You raise a brow, wondering where the hell he got that from, but keep quiet, you were there to be his ‘right hand man’ afterall, but you never did any actual work, its just an excuse for mammon to have you in his vision 24/7. Hes quite the possesive prick

“Waddya think bout this year’s contestants sweets?” He says with glee, turning to you, with a ring of bells because of his hat

“Pretty sure Fizzarolli will win again” you say with a hum

Suddenly the popcron you wereholding dissapears from your grasp

“Theres gals down there too, you think they could make it to the finals? Women aint that funny ya know” he says, munching on the popcron

“Dont say that, they could be the new face of your business, who knows” you lightly scold

“Ya just said fizz would winf” he says with a full mouth

“Well-“ Mammon was cut off by the sound of singing, the preformance is about to start

He shoves the popcron back into your hand and lays back with a smirk

“Dont worry folks- im sure Fizzarolli is just getting prepaired for his grand- fuckin preformance-“ mammon says with rage, checking the stage. Suddenly the stage fills with blue smoke, and Fizzarolli appears.

Mammon smirks and teleports back to the web, pulling you closer by the waist and using the fizz as an arm rest

You watched nervously as fizz’s, entertaining yet scary preformance, scary cause hes dissing the SIN of GREED but you look over to the your left, his hand still on your waist, hes laughing. Is he that slow????

“Wonder what all this fuckins about” he jests (haha jester joke)

A small portal appeared, “its about you” Asmodeus says

“Hah??” He says looking back at the closing portal

As the preformance progresses you see where this is going, by the end of it, thats the only time mammon even realized it was about him-

Suddenly you hear a crackle of electricity, staring at the angered demon, you gulp, you liked fizz, he was cool, he might die today tho. Yikes

The robofizz to his right claps and he pushes it off the web, you cough into your fist and look away.

He teleports away to argue with fizz, cause apparently that song was his notice. He quits

‘Its about time’ you thought to yourself. Eating the left over popcorn mammon didnt eat (he threw up on the other bot that he pushed down)

hello generation loss enjoyers. it has been several months since the release of ranboos project, how have yall been? im going to be insane.

Many folks have known me as the lminal space connosieur, dead malls and fucked up houses in particular being my strongsuit for both their sex appeal and the amount of symbolism they can all hold.

Watching Gen Loss with my friends through a hostage situation was a wonderful experience! upon the reveal of the Showfall Media offices being inside a rented out mall, there was a split second where I was a bit unamused at the lack of effort put into integrating the mall's architecture into the studio's office. There were only a few empty stores being used with at the bare minimum some chairs and desks, half the mall was still closed, the mini maps stands were still up, and the food court's usage as the streamers hub was very just. like. thats a whole ass food court. without the people walking around the only way to actually know what the hel this was being used for was the giant white banner that just said showfall media like a fraternity's house claiming its territory.

But then, as the episode 2 closed out, almost instantly it hit me why. why the mall was still a mall, why there was little to no integration for the set- it was on purpose. it was supposed to just be a studio crammed inside a mall. a dead mall, to be precise.

first lets get into the anatomy of what makes a dead mall dead. Around the 1980's a rise in popularity of the commercial supermalls began to spread, the american consumerist dream was rampant with a greater demand of fast fashion, merchandise, and all kinds of strange trinkets for the average american to waste their money on. It was capitalism's wettest dream, but as the years went on there came a steady decline in popularity. Sometimes the competing businesses ended up putting each other out of stock, maybe the trends began dying off, and in certain areas consistent crime rates drove away costumers.

Then in the mid 2000's the stock market crash ended up pushing several people into poverty, the lower class unable to afford the luxury goods offered at shopping centers. Then online shopping took society in a deathgrip, further pushing away the desire for in-public purchasing. Brands took notice and began selling online-exclusive products. In the late 2010's the sightings of several "dead malls" were on an alltime high, some being left to rot while others were demolished all together in favor of empty concrete spaces.

Corporate response to this was one of two things; continously invest in the "Anchor Stores" (big chain stores like Macys or Forever 21 that brought in more customers, usually stationed at the ends of the mall). Meanwhile the smaller businesses inside would be shut down one by one to save costs, until eventually the anchor stores themselves would be forced to leave. Sometimes the Anchor Stores would leave beforehand, not wanting to waste money investing in a deadend location. the decline is faster, the mall rots quicker. The company sells the lot to the biggest buyer and destroys what little remains.

Then there are times where the mall itself is sold off to another bigger company, in hopes of more funds to rejuvenate the center. Majority of the time the mall will enter a large reconstruction designed to look more appealing, mor modern. In actually, the personality of the malls architecture is stripped like the skin of prey. The colors and vibrant shapes of the late 1900’s, the waterfalls with rocky beds and marbled beige tiles, all replaced in favor of sharp black on white edge and stainless steel fencing. The occasional shrub here or there, maintained by automation. Lights too bright, all glimmer, all space. Sometimes it works, sometimes the mall is reborn as the pinnacle of luxury again! Sometimes it rots in shiny chrome, a corpse dragged along in the hopes of attracting attention. All it does is stink and bloat, a miserable display.

I hope you begin to catch what im saying.

In Generation Loss, the Showfield Social Experiments are commentary on streamer culture and the damaging relationship between a content creator & their platform. Visualized by Ranboo being pushed into dangerous scenarios for the sake of entertainment, their disposable friends forced into the flat archetypes the fandoms have labeled them as.

They were all vibrant young folks once, bright with personality and that raw humanity filled with flaws and voice cracks. Shitty microphones and inconsistent uploads, some were barely finishing high school. Then they became big, almost too big. They were characters now, and just like Ranboo’s teammates the perception of them as humans were dumbed down to memorable trademarks. Streamers and Content Creators alike had to be marketable now, and when the time comes where they lost their popularity sometimes they sign off to groups and organizations to help boost them up again. They are stripped of their rawness again. Theres a reason their artforms are called “content”.

So it makes sense that Showfall Media, the personification of the content creators downfall, would do the same to a Mall. The corpse of the center is repurposed loosely to fit the studios purpose. It is empty, it is hollow, it is dead. Low costs, big risks- just like Gen Loss Ranboo.

i absolutely loved the 2019 adaptation of carmen sandiego, and it honestly could pair so nicely with MBS!!! personally imagining martina as tigress...

actually, with the little VILE operative group, can see martina/tigress, sq/crackle, jackson & jillson/le cherve & el topo...

martina & sheena just generally have that same vibe. they're both pretty snarky, sassy, and dedicated to being the best. also, the little rivalry between carmen and tigress reflects pretty well upon kate and martina!

with sq, i find a lot of people (including myself) love the sort of sibling relationship the society could've had in regards to sq, especially considering in show-verse sq and constance being canonical cousins. i've always loved the relationship between carmen and gray, and always get the feels when i encounter the clip of carmen calling him the "brother she never had" or something along those lines <3. also imagining the post-mind-wipe gray focused episode (2.07, i believe!) where he's working in the opera house... that but instead of the opera house it would be an art gallery, maybe. instead of controlling the lights, sq is getting the society (team red) information on different works in a bigger, mainstream museum. some kind of treasure hunt, maybe? clues lead to information puzzle or something of the sort. kate posing as some sort of chairty leader with some sort of art installation charity piece in reflection to carmens charity leader using ballet as a charity event (i'm pretty sure thats how that episode went, but it's been a while since i watched LOL).

with jackson and jillson, they kind of have that same attached-at-the-hip feel of jean-paul and antonio, of course with the main difference of their relationship being familial while le cherve and el topo are more up-to-interpretation (though very implied to be dating). they're both just amazing duos who look out for each other, which i think is sweet.

with your mention of morse code... i would assume sticky takes the place of player :)

reynie and constance!! as zack and ivy!! makes me wonder what they got into that life of thievery for... maybe not racing, but something with similar stakes. would have to think about that.

kate!!!! looking for her dad!!! her mom being the one who was VILE faculty, and milligan being the one she reunites with in the end.

would the society adults be ACME? would the institute adults be VILE? or even, would the younder institute folks (martina, sq, jackson, jillson, etc.) even be working for VILE? would any of them be apart of interpol instead? or even, would some of the society be in interpol instead? there are so many options to think on...

obviously, nothing would be perfectly character-for-character, but it's fun to think about where each character would stand in the sense of what they stand for!

in the original case; martina being that rival, sticky being the go-to source of information, reynie and constance being able to be a close source of support, and so on! or even in alternate cases, maybe reynie takes the part of julia and ends up being there for kate as a believer-- as julia is the believer in the good of carmen. maybe its constance! maybe it's sticky, and reynie or constance or whomever else is sending the morse code! super fun to think about !! :3

WELCOME BACK SPORTS FANS TO "VASH'S SCORE BOARD OF PAIN" :D

Today we are back to see more of the youngest competitor of the season. So far Stampede Vash has gathered 9 points in just one episode. What a wild fella am I right?

Let's get today's round going with episode 2

The contestant gets his first point of this episode in less than 5 minutes (the flashbacks at the beginning will not be counted). The suffering division has given stampede vash one "action" point for that gesture when roberto suggests than his brother may be after the plants for revenge. yikes.

After that, stampede vash gets a "bad event" point for the escape sequence. although it is portrayed in a fun way and the contestant said he is okay with it, the suffering division agreed that is has to hurt a little bit to be hunted down by people who are alive thanks to you.

Some time after that, an additional "action" point is added to his tally for the way he looks at rosa while theyre held at gun point. no hate behind those eyes, only understatement and suffering.

fast forward to vash running away from the nebraskas. although its not a traumatic experience, the whole thing gets him one "yikes statement" point for his speech about running away. the suffering division agreed that, considering whats coming, it is "yikes" worthy.

So far we are 16 minutes into the episode and things have been somewhat slow, but, wait, hold on....stampede vash is adding a second "yikes statement" point onto his tally. His talk with nebraska about how nice the people were to him and how thats enough for him is enough for us to grant him the point.

BUT WAIT, THERES MORE. the episode is almost over and the contestant will not leave without breaking more heart. stampede vash gets another 2 "action" points: one for trying to leave without saying goodbye and for just standing there while roberto read all of his sad emotions at once. roberto is truly vash's mvp this episode

and just before the episode ends stampede vash makes a run for it and scores ANOTHER "BAD EVENT" POINT. vash stopping nebraska from going with his son (who was about to explode) makes it onto the tally

AND THATS IT FOLKS. Stampede vash ends this round with 8 points, making the new total 17 points. Stampede vash is stopping for no one, no matter how much the audience and the other contestants beg him to stop and go to therapy

As someone who grew up with g4 from the beginning (and was 17 when it ended), I like what you said about FiM slowly appealing to the adult fanbase more and more. The result is that the show kinda...grew up with me instead of letting me grow out of it.

The show evolved from simple episodic narratives to a grand one meant to answer adult fans' worldbuilding questions as my developing brain slowly wanted more to chew on. Meta episodes about fandom would come out when I myself would be getting more involved in fandom. The main characters themselves would go from acting like children in adult roles to acting more like fully-realized adults with issues that older me would better empathize with.

Idk, I think what people call 'jumping the shark' is more often just a show evolving and responding to feedback. Indulging fans isn't necessarily a bad thing either, and it's always infinitely better than the shows that live only to tease and spite their audience. (*cough*Supernatural*cough*)

yeah I really like this take; the show was already on for long enough that the initial target audience would have grown up regardless, so it makes plenty of sense for them to shift with their audience as well. nothing wrong with that, tbh. that's probably why i like seasons 4-5 more because at that point the show was pivoting older. Seasons 1-2 will always be out there for folks, thats for sure!

- Deep-rooted low self esteem. He’s always felt weird and different, sees himself as inherently wrong, a fuck up and a disappointment. He puts his friends on a pedestal (especially Dakota) and sees himself as someone way beneath them.  - Relatively okay with maintaining some surface level relationships but struggles with expressing his deeper feelings or talking about his past. Feels undeserving of kindness or help from others.   - Quick to give up when he isn’t absolutely certain of an outcome. Extreme reluctance to take risks, (avoiding using his powers because he doesn’t trust himself to control them, running and hiding during fights) ~ AVPD (Avoidant Personality Disorder)

Well its been a while since i spedrun pd but what ive picked up is; They wear alot of layers which could be a texture thing or an unbalance to coldness and warmness and that bitch is definitely queer which is more common for autistic/adhd folks since they tend to be less reliant on social norms and thus more open about their sexuality and gender! Another think is in both the designs his hair only goes does to his neck i have autism and my hair HAS to be a specific length or like texture issues and shit and i know in the one shot between season 1 and 2 his hair is different but i refuse to believe that >:( anyway thats all i picked up i probably can think of alot more but these were a few off the top of my head! (i cant find much for the delusional disorder since its only small details but let me hc jeeze >:() ~ Autism, ADHD, Schizophrenia, and Delusional Disorder

ok heres my pitch for a new how i met your mother episode thats like a pride special or whatever

Barney hears his brother(gay) make a joke about how "they/them dick hits different" so Barney naturally figures that they/them pussy is also different, and then proceeds to pickup and have sex with one them/them individual and gives his review and rating. Ted however, in professor mode says that basing his assumption on one trial is unscientific (can't be published on his blog), and he needs more thussy (short for they/them pussy)

Next day he wears a prideflag tie and has a blue wig sticking out of his pocket (laugh track)

We see him coming around with what do the audience appears as just, average cis women. Ted at one point says "she" and he gets kicked so hard by Barney for cockblocking that he is seen lumping out of the booth when picking up some beers. Also several of the flirt with Robin. Some of them mention the hockey team she played for when she was younger and lived in canada. saying they were a big fan of her.

A whole sequence is spent in a bro-meeting asking if they/them lesbians/bisexuals should count in the "always let a woman go if she is trying to have sex with another woman" bro-code rule

At one point Ted questions his morality of sleeping with queer folk and Barney says "THEODORE" "That's not my na-" "how DARE you say that nonbinary people dont deserve love? dont deserve sex (wtih me?) I am going to spend this whole pride month giving every enby i can my love! for shame, Ted, for shame"

afterwards the people he is hooking up with gradually start to fall more in to the "blue hair and pronouns" trope

one of the hookups mentions their friend who uses xe/xer pronouns and Barney faints from realizing there's more and he wakes up in a hospital (he fell down the stairs) the nurse is distinctly similar to last sequence of enbies, and also hot. He looks at the camera and smirks. even though he is in a cast. the end (laugh track)

also as a B-plot Lily and Marshal are discussing how to handle potential future queer children and they go to discussing names and marshall keeps trying to insist that they should totally encourage their kid to have a name like bonecrusher while lily is leaning more towards normal human names.

also at some point theres a joke about being attacked by a bear and the cutaway flashback uses that one shitty bear costume but then its corrected to "gay bear" cutaway to the same bear but with leather "no the OTHER gay bear" cutaway to human gay bear

So not much art this episode, but what did appear were some heavy hitters. First off we have the Emperors themselves, empty archways to an unknown snowy landscape where blood red hands threaten to grab you from.

Honestly one of my favorite frostbitten designs, these guys hit me in that "horror thats only scary if you look closely" desire.

And last but not least; The Good Doctor and the blood red hounds.

I'm sure this guy is giving off no red flags.

I dont see this discussed much but when i have its been a really negative discussion but anya imo is i think unintentionally coded as autistic. like that does make sense but lemme explain. Like characters like data from star trek, werent made with the inherent idea that this character would not only have a large amount of autistic traits but be very much like amongst autistic folks bc of that, but thats very much what ended up happening anya i love love love! she is my favourite character. The body, possibly the most critically acclaimed episode of buffy, defining moment for me was anyas speech. That speech for me really hits hard for me as an autisic person. it never fails to make me cry. that episode is so well made
