The Elementals AU
It's practically a rite of passage for this fandom atp. I wrote all of this in one go, and for some reason decided it needed to be in Netflix-style horrible episodic description format. So don't worry if it doesn't make sense to you, because it barely does to me too and that's what it means to read Netflix's show descriptions!
This AU specifically isn't just an Elementals AU, it's also a part franchise rewrite.
First written; checks date Satriantar wow it's been over thirteen months??!
The Elementals (show)
Summary: a team of seven superheroes, each with a unique elemental power, take on the task of defending their planet from bad guys.
Season 1
Episode One: Trio Ori (Part One)
Tanah moves to Pulau Rintis Secondary School. There, he meets two interesting girls who seem like night and day-Halilintar Petir and Taufan Angin.

Episode Six: Thunderstorm (Part One)
When the Elementals underestimate Adu Du upon his return, Adu Du successfully gives them a permanent weakness-and a new power-up. Thunderstorm is stronger than both Taufan and Tanah-but Hali has no clue who she is!
Episode Seven: Thunderstorm (Part Two)
When the Elementals underestimate Adu Du upon his return, Adu Du successfully gives them a permanent weakness-and a new power-up. Thunderstorm is stronger than both Taufan and Tanah-but Hali has no clue who she is!
Episode Eight: Cyclone
In the aftermath of Hali’s new power-up, Adu Du makes a plan to use her again. However, it backfires in the Elementals’ favor-they’ll be even stronger once they catch Cyclone!
Episode Nine: Mastery
Both Hali and Taufan can upgrade their powers-but their lack of control’s endangering the city. Gopal, Ying, and Yaya begin to train the girls while Tanah wonders if he’s good enough to continue with the Elementals.
Episode Ten: Quake (Part One)
Tanah might leave Pulau Rintis now that his family’s back on their feet, but does he really want to? And do Hali and Taufan even need him? The Elementals are getting divided, and they might not withstand the earthquake Adu Du has prepared for them.
Episode Eleven: Quake (Part Two)
Tanah might leave Pulau Rintis now that his family’s back on their feet, but does he really want to? And do Hali and Taufan even need him? The Elementals are getting divided, and they might not withstand the earthquake Adu Du has prepared for them.

Episode Two: Return To Pulau Rintis (Part Two)

Episode Three: Return To Pulau Rintis (Part Three)

Episode Seven: Ejo Jo (Part Two)
The Elementals are forced to work with Adu Du when Kitsune doesn’t show, but to defeat Ejo Jo, it takes a sacrifice that forces the Elementals to realize that things aren’t always black and white.
Episode Eight: In Honor of Probe (Part One)

Episode Ten: Family By Bond
After Ejo Jo’s defeat, a new villain comes to Earth to avenge him-Adu Du’s mother! Adu Du and Probe’s new morals are put to the test, and the Elementals help them as best they can. Kitsune finally appears-but questions Adu Du and Probe’s redemptions.
Episode Eleven: Leaf and Light (Part One)
Twins Cahaya and Daun transfer to Pulau Rintis High School in the wake of a mysterious incident. Cahaya clashes against Fang in a competition of intelligence, while Daun befriends Api and Taufan.

Season Three
Episode One: Natural Forces (Part One)

Episode Eight: Kitsune (Part Three)
Adu Du and Probe return-just in time to show Kitsune’s true nature. However, she still rejects working with them, and warns that they can’t stop the storm headed their way.

Episode Twelve: Anti-Hero (Part Two)
Fang Dao is really Fang K’tenna-the Legendary Ghost, Kitsune. He’s spent over a year fighting against his best friends, and throughout it all he’s been torn. Which side should he choose-blood or bond?
Episode Thirteen: Teleportal (Part One)
Power Sphera Klamkabot comes to Earth, and in his wake is a threat that none of them are prepared to face. The only one who stands a chance is their Power Sphera expert, Fang-but he’s unconcerned about Ochobot and focused only on the villain.
Episode Fourteen: Teleportal (Part Two)
When Ochobot is killed and Fang reveals the reason behind his obsession with defeating Bora Ra, the Elementals unite to deliver a devastating attack. To resurrect Ochobot, they are willing to pay any price.
Season 4
Episode One: Boboiboy (Part One)
To resurrect Ochobot, the Elementals channelled their power in the Earth’s core. It had an unexpected side effect-the return of the Wielder of the Seven Elementals, Boboiboy Khan! Boboiboy is asleep rather than dead now, but if he doesn’t wake up the Elementals won’t ever get their powers back.
Episode Two: Boboiboy (Part Two)
When Ejo Jo makes a comeback, Fang is the only one who can awaken Boboiboy. Boboiboy shows the Elementals a new power-fusions!
Episode Three: The Divider of Gravity
Not even Boboiboy can return their second tiers, so the Elementals return to training to get them back. But more attacks happen, so it’s up to the Natural Forces to step up. And out of the four-Yaya is the first to get to her second tier!
Episode Four: The Warper of Time
Captain Kaizo alerts Fang to an increased number of attacks on Earth as a result of the attention they have drawn. Rapid-fire attacks can only be slowed by one force-time.
Episode Five: Halilintar Petir
When Ying and Yaya prove unable to handle it, Hali steps in. She becomes the first to get her second tier back-just as she was the first to achieve it!
Episode Six: The Shifter of Molecule
The Natural Forces are shaping up to be stronger than the Elementals, and this is proven true when Gopal is the next to get his second tier.
Episode Seven: Protectors of Power Spheras (Part One)
Fang returns to space when Kitsune is called in, and when he doesn’t return to Earth, the Elementals and NFs follow his tracks. They learn he was lost on a mission for the organization he’s linked with-Trackers and Protectors of Power Spheras, TAPOPS!
Episode Eight: Protectors of Power Spheras (Part Two)
When Commander Koko Ci wants to take Ochobot, the Elementals and NFs have to make a choice. They choose…to join TAPOPS!
Episode Nine: Hold Back
To keep their secret identities, only a few of the Elementals are allowed to go on missions at any one time. For now, they’re content to stay as reserves and backup-until Api runs into some trouble.
Episode Ten: Sai and Shielda (Part One)
The Elementals are put through the TAPOPS Toughness Test when Admiral Tarung comes out of retirement! Can they pass it and stay in TAPOPS?
Episode Eleven: Sai and Shielda (Part Two)
Sai and Shielda are put against the Elementals and NFs in separate tests, spanning five days. First is Hali and Tanah, next is Taufan and Daun, then Cahaya and Gopal, Yaya and Ying, then finally Api and Ais. There’s just one twist-Sai and Shielda have an extra person helping them out.
Episode Twelve: Sai and Shielda (Part Three)
The tests continue, but not every fight ends positively. Not all of them pass, but that doesn’t mean they won’t try again!
Episode Thirteen: Roktaroka
Api and Ais aren’t TAPOPS members anymore. This becomes a problem when Trio Ori aren’t a match for a mind-controlled fiery alien while fighting against some space pirates on a mission!
Episode Fourteen: TAPOPS Reserves
As official TAPOPS Reserves, Api is trying her best to get back onto the others’ levels. But Ais is slowing her down, and she wonders if it’s worth leaving her twin behind.
Episode Fifteen: Bad Dudes (Part One)
Jokertu is sneaky, deceitful, fast and quick-witted, which is how he’s managed to rise on TAPOPS’ wanted list with every member of theirs he captures. The only person who can match him in stealth, smarts, and speed is Kitsune, and he’ll have to work fast if he wants to save everyone!
Episode Sixteen: Bad Dudes (Part Two)
Phantom Thief Panto may be a reluctant villain, but that doesn’t make him any less dangerous. Nothing can stop him-so they try peace talks instead.
Episode Seventeen: Bad Dudes (Part Three)
Captain Kaizo is the closest to Planet Circus, so he’s the one to attack Jugglenaut to take down the Bad Dudes. When he starts to struggle, help comes in the form of family.
No idea what I was on, but have this and message me for explanations if you want. Hope it's vaguely comprehensive!

I know this isn’t the right language for this audience, but for fucks sake why is there ai built in the WhatsApp search bar. I thought this was a messaging service??? Why is the ai coming up before the search itself, who designed this???
This bar existed solely to look up the names of my contacts or the text in the messages we’ve sent each other. Efficient, dare I say even reasonable. But now any attempt to type in a search will have the app bombarding me with a bunch of random prompts. I am a mistap away from wasting a bunch of electricity and water for no reason.
If I wanted to watch exercise reels (never) I wouldn’t be in the goddamn messaging app. If I wanted a playlist I’d be on idk Spotify, YouTube.
It’s driving me insane, all apps want to be the everything app, it isn’t possible.
#i know in the us you guys don't use whatsapp#but this still a generalized issue that i hope doesn't reach whatever you guys use for messaging#i'm crying throwing up#ai hell#whatsapp api#enshittification#moonmakesapost

Moments Lab Secures $24 Million to Redefine Video Discovery With Agentic AI
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/moments-lab-secures-24-million-to-redefine-video-discovery-with-agentic-ai/
Moments Lab Secures $24 Million to Redefine Video Discovery With Agentic AI
Moments Lab, the AI company redefining how organizations work with video, has raised $24 million in new funding, led by Oxx with participation from Orange Ventures, Kadmos, Supernova Invest, and Elaia Partners. The investment will supercharge the company’s U.S. expansion and support continued development of its agentic AI platform — a system designed to turn massive video archives into instantly searchable and monetizable assets.
The heart of Moments Lab is MXT-2, a multimodal video-understanding AI that watches, hears, and interprets video with context-aware precision. It doesn’t just label content — it narrates it, identifying people, places, logos, and even cinematographic elements like shot types and pacing. This natural-language metadata turns hours of footage into structured, searchable intelligence, usable across creative, editorial, marketing, and monetization workflows.
But the true leap forward is the introduction of agentic AI — an autonomous system that can plan, reason, and adapt to a user’s intent. Instead of simply executing instructions, it understands prompts like “generate a highlight reel for social” and takes action: pulling scenes, suggesting titles, selecting formats, and aligning outputs with a brand’s voice or platform requirements.
“With MXT, we already index video faster than any human ever could,” said Philippe Petitpont, CEO and co-founder of Moments Lab. “But with agentic AI, we’re building the next layer — AI that acts as a teammate, doing everything from crafting rough cuts to uncovering storylines hidden deep in the archive.”
From Search to Storytelling: A Platform Built for Speed and Scale
Moments Lab is more than an indexing engine. It’s a full-stack platform that empowers media professionals to move at the speed of story. That starts with search — arguably the most painful part of working with video today.
Most production teams still rely on filenames, folders, and tribal knowledge to locate content. Moments Lab changes that with plain text search that behaves like Google for your video library. Users can simply type what they’re looking for — “CEO talking about sustainability” or “crowd cheering at sunset” — and retrieve exact clips within seconds.
Key features include:
AI video intelligence: MXT-2 doesn’t just tag content — it describes it using time-coded natural language, capturing what’s seen, heard, and implied.
Search anyone can use: Designed for accessibility, the platform allows non-technical users to search across thousands of hours of footage using everyday language.
Instant clipping and export: Once a moment is found, it can be clipped, trimmed, and exported or shared in seconds — no need for timecode handoffs or third-party tools.
Metadata-rich discovery: Filter by people, events, dates, locations, rights status, or any custom facet your workflow requires.
Quote and soundbite detection: Automatically transcribes audio and highlights the most impactful segments — perfect for interview footage and press conferences.
Content classification: Train the system to sort footage by theme, tone, or use case — from trailers to corporate reels to social clips.
Translation and multilingual support: Transcribes and translates speech, even in multilingual settings, making content globally usable.
This end-to-end functionality has made Moments Lab an indispensable partner for TV networks, sports rights holders, ad agencies, and global brands. Recent clients include Thomson Reuters, Amazon Ads, Sinclair, Hearst, and Banijay — all grappling with increasingly complex content libraries and growing demands for speed, personalization, and monetization.
Built for Integration, Trained for Precision
MXT-2 is trained on 1.5 billion+ data points, reducing hallucinations and delivering high confidence outputs that teams can rely on. Unlike proprietary AI stacks that lock metadata in unreadable formats, Moments Lab keeps everything in open text, ensuring full compatibility with downstream tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Brightcove, YouTube, and enterprise MAM/CMS platforms via API or no-code integrations.
“The real power of our system is not just speed, but adaptability,” said Fred Petitpont, co-founder and CTO. “Whether you’re a broadcaster clipping sports highlights or a brand licensing footage to partners, our AI works the way your team already does — just 100x faster.”
The platform is already being used to power everything from archive migration to live event clipping, editorial research, and content licensing. Users can share secure links with collaborators, sell footage to external buyers, and even train the system to align with niche editorial styles or compliance guidelines.
From Startup to Standard-Setter
Founded in 2016 by twin brothers Frederic Petitpont and Phil Petitpont, Moments Lab began with a simple question: What if you could Google your video library? Today, it’s answering that — and more — with a platform that redefines how creative and editorial teams work with media. It has become the most awarded indexing AI in the video industry since 2023 and shows no signs of slowing down.
“When we first saw MXT in action, it felt like magic,” said Gökçe Ceylan, Principal at Oxx. “This is exactly the kind of product and team we look for — technically brilliant, customer-obsessed, and solving a real, growing need.”
With this new round of funding, Moments Lab is poised to lead a category that didn’t exist five years ago — agentic AI for video — and define the future of content discovery.

Ochobot took Api's silence as his cue to continue speaking "I've seen robots bigger than me before, they were pretty proud of themselves," the yellow robot explained, his eyes softening as he gazed at Api who in turn felt his chest tighten "Sure they were enormous in size, but they never felt the wish or need to become small."
"Besides all that," Ochobot spoke softly, flashing a gentle smile at Api "If it weren't for the fact that I was what I am, I would've never met you all.
Or; In an attempt to lose weight, Air adopts an unhealthy lifestyle while trying to keep it a secret from his brothers. Api, as always, finds out about it and decides to put a stop to all this. He's got the spirit, he just needs to figure out how to do so while not messing everything up like always. Also, there's a tag-team race and Adudu and that robot copycat are in it, and that's a huge problem.

Pegasus 1.2: High-Performance Video Language Model

Pegasus 1.2 revolutionises long-form video AI with high accuracy and low latency. Scalable video querying is supported by this commercial tool.
TwelveLabs and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced that Amazon Bedrock will soon provide Marengo and Pegasus, TwelveLabs' cutting-edge multimodal foundation models. Amazon Bedrock, a managed service, lets developers access top AI models from leading organisations via a single API. With seamless access to TwelveLabs' comprehensive video comprehension capabilities, developers and companies can revolutionise how they search for, assess, and derive insights from video content using AWS's security, privacy, and performance. TwelveLabs models were initially offered by AWS.
Introducing Pegasus 1.2
Unlike many academic contexts, real-world video applications face two challenges:
Real-world videos might be seconds or hours lengthy.
Proper temporal understanding is needed.
TwelveLabs is announcing Pegasus 1.2, a substantial industry-grade video language model upgrade, to meet commercial demands. Pegasus 1.2 interprets long films at cutting-edge levels. With low latency, low cost, and best-in-class accuracy, model can handle hour-long videos. Their embedded storage ingeniously caches movies, making it faster and cheaper to query the same film repeatedly.
Pegasus 1.2 is a cutting-edge technology that delivers corporate value through its intelligent, focused system architecture and excels in production-grade video processing pipelines.
Superior video language model for extended videos
Business requires handling long films, yet processing time and time-to-value are important concerns. As input films increase longer, a standard video processing/inference system cannot handle orders of magnitude more frames, making it unsuitable for general adoption and commercial use. A commercial system must also answer input prompts and enquiries accurately across larger time periods.
Latency
To evaluate Pegasus 1.2's speed, it compares time-to-first-token (TTFT) for 3–60-minute videos utilising frontier model APIs GPT-4o and Gemini 1.5 Pro. Pegasus 1.2 consistently displays time-to-first-token latency for films up to 15 minutes and responds faster to lengthier material because to its video-focused model design and optimised inference engine.
Performance
Pegasus 1.2 is compared to frontier model APIs using VideoMME-Long, a subset of Video-MME that contains films longer than 30 minutes. Pegasus 1.2 excels above all flagship APIs, displaying cutting-edge performance.
Pricing
Cost Pegasus 1.2 provides best-in-class commercial video processing at low cost. TwelveLabs focusses on long videos and accurate temporal information rather than everything. Its highly optimised system performs well at a competitive price with a focused approach.
Better still, system can generate many video-to-text without costing much. Pegasus 1.2 produces rich video embeddings from indexed movies and saves them in the database for future API queries, allowing clients to build continually at little cost. Google Gemini 1.5 Pro's cache cost is $4.5 per hour of storage, or 1 million tokens, which is around the token count for an hour of video. However, integrated storage costs $0.09 per video hour per month, x36,000 less. Concept benefits customers with large video archives that need to understand everything cheaply.
Model Overview & Limitations
Architecture
Pegasus 1.2's encoder-decoder architecture for video understanding includes a video encoder, tokeniser, and big language model. Though efficient, its design allows for full textual and visual data analysis.
These pieces provide a cohesive system that can understand long-term contextual information and fine-grained specifics. It architecture illustrates that tiny models may interpret video by making careful design decisions and solving fundamental multimodal processing difficulties creatively.
Restrictions
Safety and bias
Pegasus 1.2 contains safety protections, but like any AI model, it might produce objectionable or hazardous material without enough oversight and control. Video foundation model safety and ethics are being studied. It will provide a complete assessment and ethics report after more testing and input.
Hallucinations
Occasionally, Pegasus 1.2 may produce incorrect findings. Despite advances since Pegasus 1.1 to reduce hallucinations, users should be aware of this constraint, especially for precise and factual tasks.

The Elementals (Fic WIP)
From; The Elementals [WIP] Season 2, Ep 1
“Oi! Over here!”
Quake freezes. That voice…it’s familiar, but he doesn’t dwell on it. A fight is no place for a civilian. He spins on his heel against the ground, sending out a sensory shockwave. There!
He throws up an earth shield without ever glancing at the civilian, because crap that energy blast almost hit him-
Another, smaller shockwave rattles his seismic sense as something jumps off his earth shield-the civilian used it as a springboard. Quake’s skin prickles with too much heat, too fast, even if it is peak summer between monsoon seasons. Instincts save him as he hits the floor.
Fire lights up the enemy, hungry tongues of yellow and gold with flickers of red dashed in. Quake stares for a moment before he whips his head around.
Dressed in a worn red shirt, a burgundy vest, and black shorts, the civilian has a set of knee and elbow guards accompanying a pair of tightly-laced red sneakers. Her hair is covered by a red bandanna pulling it back, and a face mask and goggles cover her face.
There’s no flamethrower in sight, and even if there was, he would’ve sensed it earlier with his seismic sense.
“I’m Blaze!” declares the girl cheerfully, hands on her hips and smoke trailing from them. “And I’m here to join the Elementals!”
Distantly, he hears Cyclone scream.
“YOU ALMOST HIT QUAKE, YOU FIRST-TIMING FIRESTARTER!”
“NOT THE TIME!” Thunderstorm yells, and Quake slams his foot down on the ground. A protective wall erects right before the next blast, conveniently aimed for both him and Blaze, can hit its targets.
Blaze-whoever she is and why she’s got fire elemental powers-can wait. Right now there’s a more imminent threat.
“CYCLONE, THUNDERSTORM, TRIANGLE!” Quake plants his feet and summons his golem, wincing as a mental band of pressure tightens. They’ve got to finish this fight quickly, before one of them begins to lose their memory and ends up dying in a pop quiz.
Cyclone spins her hands together, a tornado erupting and encircling her. Thunderstorm’s hands move too fast for the human eye to see and for his seismic sense to perceive, her spear whirling around her. They’re in perfect position-his two o’clock and ten o’clock, a triangle movement to trap the enemy with all the power of the Elementals.
But it’s not effective-not with a target who hadn’t evacuated just a bit away.
Quake’s concentration is stretched too thin. Summoning his golem is effective to act for him, but difficult to keep up while summoning a shield.
He’s too slow to react as an energy blast flies past him, headed for Blaze.
The cap of the nearby fire hydrant pops.
A burst of water intercepts the blast, soaking everything close by-that including Blaze and Quake-in the process. The water evaporates upon contact, dissipating the attack. The enemy is sent into the waiting arms of Quake’s golem with Cyclone’s tornado, and then Thunderstorm lunges forward to strike. As red lights up everything, Quake’s seismic senses ring out.
Someone is running away from the scene.
He kicks out his heel and stops them with an earth barrier. “Cyclone, Thunderstorm, there’s an extra perpetrator a bit away. I’m going to go deal with them.”
Quake propels himself forward with small stone pillars adding extra momentum, and turns to corner the target in a decently lit alley, cut off midway by his earth barrier.
He stares.
Unlike Blaze, who was dressed to hide her identity-and Quake had a decent idea who it was now-Wen Ai Si ‘Ais’ was dressed in his school uniform, down to the nametag he was covering with his hand. That might’ve worked, if Tanah hadn’t met him earlier just today at recess. Ais had mentioned that he and his twin had accidentally swapped shirts that morning while getting dressed in the dark, so it’d be the wrong name anyway.
Water drips from Ais’ fingertips, just like how smoke had trailed from Blaze’s-or, he’d wager…
“You should tell your twin sister it’s reckless to play with fire.”
Ais scowled. “I cleaned up her mess perfectly fine, and besides, Ai Si can handle herself.”
Quake blinks. “Ai Si? Your sister’s name is Api.”
Ais cocks his head. “Is it? That’s curious. I’ve introduced myself to exactly ten people today-and only explained the mix-up to…”
Okay, Quake knew when to admit he messed up.
“Well, one of my powers is name-sensing?”
“No, your element is earth, which means you’re limited to it, and I know the limits of elemental powers very well.” Ais flicks the water off his hand. “You’re the prefect that woke me up today-Tanah bin Kris.”
“Not a prefect.” Quake is going to stick his earth fists in his mouth for being such an idiot.

it's tragic that I've got a browser extension that blocks AI art fairly effectively but if i ever released it I'd probably get a cease and desist from the people that run the api I'm using.
#or at the very least they'd reword the api to stop me taking advantage of it#also it sends every image to said api which is kinda sketchy on a privacy front#ai art
