omg can you please do something during the singlemom!reader verse about how steve is during her pregnancy during each scenario like the first kick, finding out the gender, the readers cravings, talking to the baby, and maybe the labor
AHHH I can’t even begin to process the amount of cuteness that would provide 🥺 I think I’ll break it into weeks so it makes a bit more sense! Also, since with baby number 2, I’m finally going to give baby girl a name! I hope that’s okay but to avoid any further confusion lol I wished I’d given her a name earlier but never imagined this series to be so expanded or popular so better late than never.

A New Harrington Debut, It’s Baby Number Two!
Steve Harrington x SingleTeenMom!Reader universe fic
You can find the list of the full series here
Warnings: Pregnancy & Birth (in case some don’t want to read about it)
Ten Weeks
“I don’t remember being this sick with Abbie,” you groaned, laying back against the bed.
Morning sickness—in your case evening sickness, was kicking your butt with your second pregnancy.
You’d soon learned that if you didn’t keep at least something in your stomach, your nausea was so much worse.
Steve handed you a sleeve of Saltines and a bottle of ginger ale and you thanked him.
“How was your pregnancy with Abbie?” he asked curiously.
Since you and he had met shortly after your now eldest child had turned one, Steve had missed out on pregnancy and infancy.
“Surprisingly pretty easy. I was working a lot at the time because I wanted to try to save as much as I could when she came. I had a bit of lingering nausea, but I didn’t puke. This one has been stubborn already, though.”
Steve laughed, a hand on your still normal sized stomach.
“I can’t wait until you start showing,” he said.
“You’re in luck then,” you retorted.
“What do you mean?” he asked, brows slightly pulled together in confusion.
“Technically you start showing earlier the more pregnancies in you are.”
“When did you start showing with Abbie?”
“Around 18 weeks, so around the beginning of my first trimester. At this rate I’ll be popping out in a month,” you snickered.
“Well hurry up and grow, little one,” Steve said, pointedly to your belly.
He leaned down and gave it a kiss.
“Also stop making mommy so sick, while you’re at it.”
Sixteen Weeks
“And we’ve got a bump,” you grinned, showing Steve.
It always amazed you how gradual the growing of a pregnant belly was until one day you just happened to notice that it’s there or it’s much bigger.
“You look adorable,” Steve grinned.
“I look like I ate too many tacos,” you rolled your eyes, patting your belly, “No food baby here.”
“Nope, just a little Harrington.”
Twenty Weeks
“Do you want to know the sex of the baby?”
It was a big milestone for you and Steve. He held Abbie in his lap and she peered at the ultrasound screen like she didn’t understand what she was seeing. She probably wasn’t, but her expression was utterly adorable.
At this month’s appointment, it was the long awaited reveal of if the baby was a boy or a girl. Abbie wanted a sister, Steve wanted a girl as well.
You didn’t care either way as long as it was healthy and growing as it should be.
Knowing the sex would also help you and Steve to start discussing names. So far, baby Harrington had been lovingly nicknamed “Little One”.
“Yes,” you smiled at the technician performing the ultrasound.
She moved the wand over your belly and you watched the little Harrington squirm in response.
“We’ve got quite the wiggle worm in there,” the technician commented with a smile.
“Tell me about it. I can feel the baby in there like butterfly wings lately.”
The first time the baby moved, Steve’s eyes lit up although he was disappointed he wasn’t able to feel yet. The fluttering deep inside you truly felt like a butterfly in your stomach and you couldn’t help but cherish every little move. You were so excited for its movements to grow stronger so Steve could finally feel from the outside.
“Well, it looks like you’ve got a healthy baby girl in there.”
Abbie was filled with joy.
“Did you hear that, princess? You’re going to have a little sister!” Steve exclaimed happily to Abbie.
“I gonna have seester!” she cheered sending the room into laughs.
“Just to be clear,” Steve said, “Neither one of these girls are allowed to date until they’re 30.”
Twenty One Weeks
“Steve!” you shrieked.
It was almost comical how he came running into the room, sliding to a stop like he was in a cartoon and not in real life.
“What’s wrong?! Is something wrong with the baby?!”
“She’s kicking! Hurry!” you motioned him over eagerly.
He fell onto the side of the bed next to you and you took his hand, placing it over the area where your daughter was kicking a steady rhythm.
“You feel that?”
His eyes widened in awe as he watched your stomach, nodding.
“Amazing isn’t it?” you breathed.
“It’s the best feeling ever,” he smiled, cradling your bump in his hands.
“Hi sweetheart, it’s daddy. I absolutely can’t wait to meet you.”
You ran your fingers through his hair as he talked to your belly, your insides warm and fuzzy at the love you felt for the father of your children.
Twenty Five Weeks
You’d passed six months in your pregnancy and your cravings were really fucking strong.
“I swear your kid decides to make me hungry at the worst possible times,” you groaned, sitting down at the kitchen table, rifling through the grocery bag that Steve had just brought in.
“She’s growing and needs everything she can get to be big and strong,” Steve argued.
“Thanks for running to the store for me,” you said appreciatively, still not looking up from the contents of the bag.
Last week, you’d been craving french fries like a mad woman. Poor Steve had even gone through the McDonalds drive through twice in one day to get you the food to satisfy your cravings.
This week, you wanted watermelon.
“Oh that looks amazing too,” you mumbled, noticing avocados he’d picked up as well.
That was one of your early cravings and knowing Steve, he picked some up, just in case. He, in fact, confirmed that a moment later.
You tore open the container of watermelon and started eating directly from it, picking up the chunks with your fingers.
“Well, least we won’t have to worry about dirty dishes,” Steve shook his head, amused at your actions.
“Sorry,” you said through a mouthful of melon, “I wanted some right now.”
“That’s why I got it, baby.”
He kissed your head as he passed you to put away the rest of the grocery items, leaving you to enjoy your fruit.
Thirty Weeks
“This baby is due in two and a half months and we still haven’t decided on a name,” Steve whined.
You and he had been discussing names for weeks. It was a lot harder this time around because what one of you would like, the other wouldn’t.
“Why is it so hard to name a human being?”
He flopped dramatically back in bed, almost too tired for this conversation as it was nearing midnight.
“Maybe because it’s a name they’ll have for the rest of their lives?” you replied dryly.
“How did you name Abbie so easily?”
“Well it was easy because Trent was long gone by then and I liked the name Abrielle Jade. There wasn’t anyone to disagree with me,” you shrugged.
“There’s one name I like…you’ll probably not like it though with our track record.”
“What is it?” you asked, turning your head against your pillow to look at him laying next to you.
“What about Arabella? I think it sounds cute with Abbie’s full name.”
You smiled, turning the name over in your head.
“Arabella Harrington is quite a mouthful, but I like the sound of it,” you commented.
“What about a middle name?”
It was as if a missing puzzle piece clicked in your head as soon as you had a first name.
“What about Joy? Cause she is a joy,” you responded.
“Arabella Joy Harrington, you’re our joy,” Steve said, putting a hand over your belly.
Thirty Five Weeks
You felt like a whale at this point.
The waiting game between now and the birth was an aspect of pregnancy that you did not miss.
Steve had taken to reading to your belly and you found it to be the cutest thing in the world. Usually, after bedtime and tucking Abbie in with a story of her own, he’d take one of Abbie’s books and read it to Arabella, still growing in your womb.
Tonight, he was reading Winnie The Pooh to her.
“She’s kicking up a storm right now,” you said, motioning for him to feel.
“Yeah, that’s because she loves books as much as her mommy,” Steve smiled, giving your tummy a kiss.
“I think she just likes the sound of daddy’s voice like mommy does,” you smirked.
“Duly noted,” he raised an eyebrow.
“Please come out soon,” Steve resumed talking to your bump, “Daddy is so anxious to meet you. I’m sure you’ll look just like your beautiful mommy.”
“Or she could look like her daddy,” you giggled.
“Either way, she’ll be beautiful,” he said, stroking your stomach gently, “Good night angel, daddy loves you.”
Thirty Eight Weeks
Apparently Arabella decided to listen to her dad because a short three weeks later, she was ready to make her entrance in the world.
While you had gone a week overdue with Abbie and had a long, drawn out labor, her baby sister was coming into this world much faster and earlier.
“She’s two weeks early, are you sure it’s okay?” Steve asked, glancing at you worriedly as he frantically drove you to the hospital.
You were in the passenger seat, breathing through a contraction and gripping the edges of the seat of his BMW, low moans erupting from you. You didn’t need to have a medical license to know your labor was progressing extremely fast in comparison to your first.
“She’s full term,” you half panted, half slurred, “It’s fine.”
“Is it supposed to be this intense and quick?”
He was weaving his car in and out of traffic, trying to find a clear spot with no other cars so he could gun it to the hospital. You squeezed your eyes in pain.
“Steve if you don’t shut up and just get me to the hospital, I’m going to have this baby right here in your car.”
He didn’t have to be asked twice.
You were familiar with the fact that labor would be quicker and easier for your body to remember what to do after the first time, but you had no idea that it could be this fast.
Within 90 minutes of being settled at the hospital, a whopping two hours after your strongest contraction started, your baby girl entered the world with a wail so beautiful it made both you and Steve cry tears of joy.
She had a hair full of dark hair, just like daddy and she was absolutely beautiful.
Steve fell head over heels in love at first sight with the precious bundle and couldn’t stop beaming when he finally held her.
It had been a long nine months, but your new addition was finally here.

For @bucktommyweek day 2: Day Two: A figure from their past. Title: When the Sun Goes Down Pairings: Eddie/Buck/Tommy, past Buck/Abby Rating: Teen and Up Notes: Eddie doesn't like Abby but this isn't an Abby bashing fic, at least I don't think it is. Summary:
Buck was happy. Happier than he ever thought to be. He was free and finally felt comfortable in his skin. Chimney liked to tease that Buck was even more like his golden retriever side with all his bouncing and smile that never left his face when they weren't on a call. Bobby and Hen were so happy for him. And he knows that Athena gave both Tommy and Eddie the shovel talk, it was the scariest moment of their lives according to them.
Tommy meets Abby, the woman who broke Buck's heart.
Teaser: Tilting her head Abby studied Buck, he had gotten even more handsome if that was possible and while she loves Sam and the life she made with him and their girls there is a part of her that wondered what would have happened if she stayed and tried to make a life with Buck. He was amazing in bed and treated her like a Goddess. “How are you, Buck? We should get together while I am in town. Catch up, you could finally meet Sam.”
‘Hell no.’ Was the response that flashed into Buck's head there was no way that he would put Eddie in the same area as Abby, the man hated her with a passion. There would be no way of holding his boyfriend back as he let Abby know just what he thought about her treatment towards him.
‘Then there is Tommy.’ Buck wasn't sure what his other partner would think of his ex.
As if summoning a strong arm wrapped around Buck’s waist as a kiss was placed on his cheek, “Evan, sorry I am late Lucy decided she wanted to tell me in great detail about her date last night.” Tommy blinked as he took in the woman staring in confusion at him. “Oh, who is your friend?”
Clearing his throat Buck leaned into Tommy's embrace. “Tommy, this is Abby Clark, an old friend of mine. Abby, this is Tommy, my boyfriend.”
Tommy has heard all about Evan's ex-girlfriends Eddie has been very vocal in his dislike of those who used and then tossed aside their adorable boyfriend. Taylor Kelly and Abby Clark were tied for first place in Eddie’s bad books, those names were banned in their house for how they treated Evan and the last time Taylor's face showed up on the news Eddie had gone on an hour-long rant.
“Oh, it is nice to meet you, Tommy.” There was something in Abby's eyes that said it was anything but nice.
Tommy was instantly on guard. He could see why Evan was drawn to her, she is pretty but she had shattered Evan's heart and that was not something he could forgive. “It's nice to meet you as well. I have heard so much about you.”
Buck wanted to run away and hide. Tommy had heard about her from the presidents of the ‘We hate Abby’ club, Eddie and Maddie. Even Christopher didn't like her and they had never met!
‘She hurt you Buck that is all I need to know.’ Christopher looked so much like his dad with his arms crossed and a scowl on his face.'

Walker 1x10 Thoughts
I do not have the time or the energy for a full review so I'm just going to jot down some immediate thoughts here. Hopefully I'll be able to write these properly again by the time the hiatus is over.
Family Drama:
Augie is back on good terms with his grandparents and that's all I really care about
Liam has decided not to care what Bonham thinks anymore and I can only see that leading to trouble
Bonham finally told Abby about him asking Cordell to move off the ranch and she was rightfully upset about it. I do find it hypocritical that she told him it should be Cordell's decision on when to move and Bonham shouldn't pressure him one way or the other because.... she was on the toher side of that argument in season 1
Liam blowing off the family meeting was questionable, but not as questionable as him making Stella a business partner. I hope she says no. EMT!Stella can still win
I think it will be Bonham's turn to have a stroke when he hears about Stella being a business partner.
To be honest, I'm not surprised that Abby's health scare dug up old concerns about who was taking over the ranch. The last time they talked about it, Abby was pushing him to consider selling the land when he retired but I don't think Bonham's ready to give up on the family legacy. It was one thing before they lost it to the Davidsons but now he needs an assurance that his family land won't get turned into a solar farm or something like that.
Work Drama:
Someone/thing is pushing James to act like this. Even with Cordell and Cassie, he's never been this harsh
Cassie and Kevin are adorable but I can see why Cassie wanted to keep their work and private lives separate, what with how Kevin tells Trey everything
Cordell: Hey Trey you should ask Liam for advice :) Me: Do you want him to get fired?
When Cassie and Cordell assured Trey nothing bad would happen, I knew it would all go downhill
Cassie getting mad at Kevin for overstepping his boundaries, even if he had good intentions (allegedly) is exactly what this episode needed. Kevin needed some flaws
Trey getting fired wasn't surprising. What surprised me was how surprised James seemed. I don't think he's working for Grey Flag; I think he was just under a lot of pressure to get his rangers under control, especially one that was hired so unconventionally, and that's why he went hard. I don't think he expected things to end like this.
Trey's face at the end tho :(
What's in the Box:
You know I think if Cordell and Julia do end up dating, Cordell is going to get in trouble for telling Julia things even though she knew about them before he did
The way Julia was pushing Cordell to consider that the DPS has a mole in it and pointing out James' odd behavior either makes sense because obviously there's a mole or it makes sense because she's there to sow discord for Grey Flag
Cordell having to confront the idea that a fellow Marine, someone he considered a brother, would be out to get him, was huge. He knows logically that there are people out there like that and has to deal with them before but I think the idea that he could've ended up like that scares him more than anything
Julia storming up into the house herself seemed.... Weird. Yes, she's an investigative journalist with a history of running into danger but going up against someone who she thought had access to a wide network of men and an even wider network of weapons with just a handgun seemed crazy reckless. Taliban leaders may be willing to meet at a coffee shop for a scheduled interview but crazy ex-military folks don't typcially respond well to trespassers
Unless.... she knew she wasn't in danger.....
Agent Charlie sounded like he was high. he probably was.
"Dude i sent you an unmarked box with a threatening note in it :( Why didn't you send one back? :( I thought we were pals :("
Anyway congrats to @theladywyn for predicting Cooper was behind all this. We'll see about Kevin being his son in a later episode but that's also shaping up to be true.
This episode was a little insane and I'm glad to be jumping back into the action. I can't wait for the next episode!

Does Fish the dog exist in any of your clexa fics? I saw your post of the fluffiest puppy ever on the dishwasher and yelled "That's Fish!"
He does!!! Actually more or less almost all of my clexa's get a Fish at some point.
But for Farm Clexa, they get Fish when Madi is around two years old. Clarke is out on the market and Lexa is trying to entertain Madi who just will not sit still so she asks her if she wants to go see the puppies that were born on the next farm over and Madi excitedly says yes. Lexa didn't expect this to be more than a quick visit to tire Madi out. Her and Clarke are now in the process of starting to try for another baby so its not like they need a new thing to care for on the farm.
God, does she try to say no when the couple asks her if she wants one of the puppies as they are great to have around the farm and would be great to get all of miss Madi's energy out quicker. She declines politely at first but then Madi comes to her with a puppy in tow, both doing big eyes at her. The couple laughs at her and assures Lexa that if she wants it l, it's hers, its old enough to be taken and its not like they live far away for them to visit. Its something Lexa should really talk over with Clarke. Despite knowing Clarke likes dogs, it is an animal that would live much closer to them than the rest of their farm animals. She is ready to say no once again and tell Madi they gotta leave but she can't. God the puppy is adorable. And so is Madi. And they look adorable together.....
Madi laughs the entire walk home as she runs around with her new friend while Lexa tries to come up with a plan that will soften the blow when Clarke sees the puppy. She thought she had more time to come up with something when they arrive and see the truck already parked meaning Clarke's home. Lexa freaks out a little and hushers Madi and the puppy through the kitchen backdoor, and asks Madi to hide the puppy while she goes and talks to Clarke.
Lexa turns her wifey charm to 100, all smiles and kisses and helping Clarke unload the truck and taking her coat which raises more suspicion with Clarke than if she did none of that. Clarke asks her whats up and Lexa puts on a fake pout, "what, i cant just be a loving wife?".
Shes about to answer that when a bark followed by a shhh is heard from the kitchen, "what was that?" before she follows the sound. Lexa is right behind her, already trying to explain that she really tried to tell her no but Clarke knows her daughter and honestly its Clarke's fault Madi has those damn blue eyes that make it impossible for her to say no to them and-
"Is that a dog in the dishwasher?"
Yup. Sure is. Sat on the door of the dishwasher Abby and Jake got them and that Lexa uses more as a drying rack than for its actual purpose.
"No mama. Is a fish." Madi explains with a nod, looking at her mommy to back her up on her clear sound logic. Sure. Dishwasher, water, fish. Makes sense.
"We have a dog now?"
"No. Fish!"
"That not a fish honey."
"Yes. Fish!"
"Madi baby, its okay, you can say its a dog."
"Fish!"
"You named the dog Fish?"
"No. I havent named the dog. She's just pretending is a fish so you wont get mad."
"Im not mad honey, we can keep the dog."
"Fish."
"Okay hm we can keep... Fish, the dog?"
Madi stares at the puppy with a questioning look, as if she's trying to read its mind. Fish barks in approval. Fish, the dog!" Madi exclaims.
Both mothers smile widely at her and help her take the poor dog out of the dishwasher and tell Madi to take him outside to he can pee and they'll follow. As they are leaving Clarke throws her arm around Lexa's easit and pulls her closer.
"So, you wanna explain to me how we ended up with a Fish?"

BINGO!
Buck: "hell yeah, this daredevil hero stuff is what I signed up for Bobby" oh sweetie
is he... is he free-climbing??? he legit is just HOLDING on to the coaster at the top what the hell. yeah this goes under 'only on TV' because surely you should be clipped to the coaster!?
Chim: "it's America Buckaroo, eating has nothing to do with being hungry" now ain't that the truth! I meant to put 'nicknames' on my bingo actually as i've done previously, whoops! but yes, this is the first instance of Buckaroo!
Chim's one-night stand analogy is hilariously on point for someone who is familiar with the one-night-stand but also constantly hoping and reaching for more
I love that Athena is known and loved in the firehouse already, getting hugs from both Chim and Bobby and welcomed in when she's having a hard time. I love how the show just admits characters are having a rough time and they're not hiding it all away
had totally forgotten the hilarious copaganda of Athena skipping the drive-thru line for work reasons, love the way Hen and Athena are on the same wavelength here
"they're just turned on by the uniform, don't know if they would feel that way if they saw me out of it" SIR think before you speak my god
not a fan of Carla's lines here, "men are dogs" really. urgh.
yeah yeah Abby getting Buck's number from the report is a clear privacy violation (my GDPR soul is screaming) but they're so fucknig cute I am willing to waive the TV nature of it all. Abby flopping on the bed post call is such a mood I love her
"following orders wasn't my best quality but hey, i was working on it" oh no buddy, this is you working on it??
"I love this job because I get to be the tough guy but I also get to help people" baby boy i adore you
Bobby is SUCH a dad already i love him. Not a family my ass
"look, I have issues" yes Buck, correct
"I won't go out with you because I like you. Because I know we've only talked a couple times, but talking to you makes me feel really good and safe and curious about life because I can tell that you're special. And I don't have anyone like you in my life and I don't want to do anything to risk losing you" I LOVE HIM HE'S SO SWEET
GOOD and SAFE and CURIOUS omg what fucking excellent qualities!! I adore this for him so much
"sometimes the right kind of no is better than the wrong kind of yes" ABSOLUTELY
Tumblr media
Best look: sooty Buck!! the only evidence of a fire in the season so far. honorouble mention to Abby's cute pastel bi plaid
Tumblr media
Worst look: Michael's lil cardigan. no dude. honourable mention for Buck's denim on denim plaid therapy look which i kind of love?? but also it feels very un-Buck even in season 1 when we're not really sure who he IS yet
Character notes: Chim...also doesn't like dogs? or just doesn't like giant ones!
Buck "a year ago I put in to be a Navy SEAL"

Talk about Abbie’s season 4 reunions please 🥺
Abbie loves to jump on people let's start with that 🥺
So her first reunion is in The Break Up, Kurt calls her as soon as Finn shows up in New York and she's on an overnight flight from somewhere in Europe, shows up the next day, and literally jumps on Finn like a koala and will not let go. She says hi to Kurt and Rachel (but mostly Kurt) from that position and holds Finn hostage while he explains why he's not in the army, apologizes for not talking to her sooner, and promises to never do that to her again. She's still extremely clingy (and also steals his jacket) for the rest of the day, drags him into singing with her at Callbacks, and when the whole The Scientist thing happens, she relegates Blaine to sleeping on the couch, and squeezes she, Finn, and Kurt into Kurt's bed, and then the twins leave for Lima first thing in the morning
(this is also when she reunites with Blaine and she's totally sympathetic to how Kurt has been icing him out and ignoring him and gives Kurt some shit over that but she doesn't take the cheating thing all that well)
She's actually happy to see Mr Schue (a wild development but also their late-s3 relationship is so precious to me) and hugs him and promises to tell him all about her travelling later, but kind of pushes Finn towards him and goes to chill in the choir room to wait. She talks to Blaine a bit more when he gets there and basically says that Kurt fucked up but Blaine should have just ended things ("even by text if he wouldn't pick up his phone") and that there's no excuse for cheating, but that Kurt is a big boy and can fight his own battles.
Sam notices Finn first (from where he walks in, Abbie is hidden behind Finn) but as soon as they're done hugging she's standing right there crossing her arms at him, "wow, I thought you'd be more excited to see me". He freaks out, picks her up and spins her around, she's giggling, they kiss, it's just super sweet rip finn & blaine abbie has no time for heartbreak, they're just being so cute until Brittany comes up to where Sam is still holding Abbie and just wraps her arms around Abbie from behind and spins her around too before she puts Abbie down so that the two can hug properly! And then she hugs the rest of the club, and while Finn sits separated from everyone else, Abbie ends up pulled onto Sam's lap with her legs thrown over Brittany's.
(she also sees Santana this ep and the two are also adorable just hugging and catching up on their lives and being besties!)
Then we move onto the next episode! Abbie is at Grease auditions with Finn and Artie, and she and Artie chase after Finn after he storms out. Artie starts talking about needing the right team and as soon as he mentions a choreographer she starts to have her suspicions (because she's already the choreographer, so if he's called in a favour, it's not just about dance), but then she actually sees Mike and Mercedes and loses her entire fucking mind! In classic Abbie fashion, she runs to jump-hug Mike, who is more used to this than anything and just kind of twists her around until he's giving her a piggyback instead, so that she can say hi to Mercedes (who she hugs when she eventually hops off Mike's back) and so that Mike can say hi to Finn. She's talked to Mercedes a few times but wants to hear everything about LA, and she and Mike have been video calling at least once a week since she left so there's not much to catch up on except for hugs and dancing with him!
and then we get to Home/Homeward Bound 🥺 I'm using the full version from the studio recording and not just the part that was in the show! She comes on from the stage after Mercedes' entrance, singing and every stranger's face I see reminds me that I long to be (bc it gives me so many vibes with the fact that Abbie has been backpacking for months but everywhere she goes things just remind her of her friends!)
She hugs Quinn and Puck as she comes on and is then the first one running over to hug Finn (despite the fact that she saw him like 5 minutes earlier) — I have a full outline of her part in the song here!
She's tucked between Finn and Quinn during the group hug, and she's sitting between Quinn & Mike when they all go to Breadstix and are catching up! (and she's part of Come See About Me bc the unholy trinity that isn't a trinity reunion is so special to me)

📋 IF YOU'RE GOING TO ASK ME ABOUT *MY* OCS THEN I'LL ASK YOU TO TIERLIST *YOUR* OCS. GOOD LUCK
hm. perhaps i should have seen this coming. well played.
i have over 300 ocs at this point so this is reserved for characters from The Deathspeaker and In A Manor Of Speaking because I use them the most, and may still exclude some characters from them because whoa this is a lot of guys. individual tiers are not sorted at all because sorting them into tiers was hard enough. WHOA OK THIS GOT LONG THANKS I HAVE MANY WORDS ABOUT MY OCS. You don't even know the rants about every choice I've made here locked and loaded. Sorry in advance.
Tier above everyone else because these are incredibly obvious to anyone who has seen me make content for my ocs ever - Joe and Amedeo. This is not a hard thing to say they are my favorites I am not ashamed of this. Joe means everything to me he's such a. He's such a. You guys don't even understand. And you won't until I'm freely able to talk about spoilers for my comic. He is everything to me. Amedeo also means so much to me in a different direction, it's such a fucked up piece of shit, a pathetic man, a fucking loser, acts tough but if you push it gently it collapses into a sobbing mess. That's incredible I want to be his friend.
S tier - Dara (she automatically gets the boost of being Joe's girlfriend/wife so I think about her a lot but she is also The Main Character and has an absolutely fascinating personality. Girl you make life decisions like this? I'm obsessed with you.), Theron (also a main character and I don't have the words to explain them I just hold them so gently and then i explode), Darby (I wasn't supposed to get attached to them. But they're so fucking funny. This deadpan murderer delivers the stupidest fucking lines in their monotone voice and I lose it), Rowena (Definitely the most morally complex character I've ever made and I can and have and will continue to write essays analyzing her every move. She's so smart. She's so blinded by her love for this kid. She wants to help a traumatized child heal. She doesn't even know how to heal herself. She made them worse. She ruined lives. She saved one life. Is that what matters?), Kazooie (I WANT HIM TO BE HAPPY. HE'S BARELY KEEPING IT TOGETHER. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS TO HIM ANYMORE BUT KEEPING AMEDEO SAFE. IT ALL HURT SO MUCH. BUT HE'S HAPPY NOW), Viorel (he is lying to himself he is lying to himself he is lying to himself he's the main character and yet nothing but a member of the sidelines watching everything disolve around him he does nothing to stop it he thinks himself a good person can he really claim that when hes done nothing hes done nothing he is lying to himself he is lying to himself), Reverie (what if you wanted to reach elysium and god said not until you spend thousands of years trapped in my game you can never win)
A tier - Abby (15 year old me's self insert. And that's enough for me <3), Jules (Probably the most competent kid in the comic and I love that for them. It's rare to see a character with brain cells from me but here they are), Victor (WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE THE NORMAL ONE!!!! I DIDN'T TELL YOU TO BE LIKE THIS!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!), Twitch (He would've been in S with Darby cause they're gay married but his personality is kind of flat and I don't know how to fix it. It's ok tho I love him), Aiden (What an asshole. I adore them. They're trying so hard to keep everyone and everything going smoothly. The world is against them. Haunting the narrative as they die. Putting themself back together piece by piece, stuck as a chunk of technology. They can't feel anymore. They feel so much.), Eden (would've been lower actually but holy shit!!!!! Oh she's got issues!!!! Recently developed her more and have discovered she's lost herself in her grief and she's going to make herself worse. I love a woman who's a wet paper towel. I love a woman who kills just to feel something), Vidette (First of all, ghosts that can only talk in emojis is the coolest thing ever, second of all AAAGHUAOGHGOUHUOGDHFOGH. TRAGEDY FOLLOWS YOU.), Bocephus (I don't have analysis on him he's just so funny. And pretty. I'd like to kiss him)
B tier - Cody (sorry I love him he's just not the most interesting character he's just a guy to me), Shannon (probably would've gone into C but the most recent chapter has gotten me really attached to her. She has so many problems. Her character progression is actually really neat), April and Lily (come as a pair cause they're in gay love. They're a very fun duo but the only reason I think about them is because they're Joe's friends. I'm sorry they deserve better but this is where they will stay), Death (kind of wish I had executed his storyline better and I haven't even gotten to it yet. I dunno how to change it at this point. He's fun tho I like drawing him), Engel (ok they should be S I'll be real with you however. I think about other characters way more than them. Sorry Engel you are so fascinating but not enough), Violetta (she's new she's not developed enough but I like her she girlbosses her way to victory causing major plot events to happen but she does it all in the background so no one realizes how impactful it is until its too late)
C tier - Liam (I'm so fucking sorry he's not interesting I don't think about him sometimes I forget he's here I'm sorry), Lindsey (*sobbing softly* my girl,,,, you used to mean so much to me,,,,,, how did it come to this,,,,,), Valerie (this is really the tier of characters I want to apologize to for not developing enough despite loving them to death huh), Quest (actually they are pretty developed and they're a douchebag. A real dick. I adore them but I'm kicking them down several tiers because they are actively making everyone around them worse and they should feel bad about it)
D tier - 🌈R4!N.B0W⭐ (*SLAM DUNKS HIM DIRECTLY INTO THE TRASH* this man is homophobic and gay at the same time), Vivian (*EXPLODING HER WITH MY PSYCHIC BEAMS* what if you just stopped being the worst huh? fuck you)

 Gwen placed her head on the desk, cradled by her hands, watching as Saffron and Thermidora argued about the legality of adopting every cat on earth.
 "It'd be morally wrong," Thermidora kept herself dignified, akin to an empress regarding an unruly subject. It made sense, as she was the student council president.
 "But they're adorable!" Saffron stood up, his chair nearly falling in his sudden movement but, luckily, he caught it time. "And they need homes."
 "But what about all the other people who love cats?"
 "Oh, come on… I could make a zoo!"
 "A zoo?" Thermidora's nose wrinkled in green bafflement. "That's so-"
 Abbi leaned back in her chair - the one that was next to Gwen, a mischievous glint in her eyes - "dogs are better."
 ("WHAT?!" Both of the previously disputing parties said in unison.)
 And that launched an entirely different argument. 'Really,' Gwen thought, trying to keep herself from laughing, 'they should all join the debate club.'
 (If you wanted to know her opinion, she thought both dogs and cats were equal, and cared for both species deeply. She liked seeing them whenever she helped Maria out in her volunteer work at the shelter.)
 All noise had ended the second the door creaked. It was like everybody stopped breathing in perfect sync.
 Truth be told, the 'Cursed Princess Club' was not an official club In fact, if they were caught, they'd all get in big, big, BIG trouble.
 And Gwen's record - which was squeaky clean, thank you very much - couldn't take that. Gwen wanted to make her mother proud - be the most perfect daughter.
 It was all she could do, seeing how it was her fault she had died.
 "Relax," Prez said calmly. "It's just me."
 "Why didn't you do your special knock?!" Saffron's eyes were wide, "I thought we were done for-"
 "Saff-ronnie," Abbi gave him a cheeky grin, "listen to your grandma when I tell you this: nobody comes into these old, abandoned classrooms, even if their life depended on it."
 "First off, I'm literally three years older than you." He said in a deadpan voice, before it turned more lively- filled with passion, "and you don't know. It could happen. You know how my luck is, Abbi."
 Abbi made a face, hand over her heart as if it were breaking at his words.
 "Well, that's no way to talk to your-"
 Prez cleared her throat loudly, and the other members in the room looked at her with their full attention.
 "The reason I called up this meeting," she started, "is because I won't be here for … two weeks. As you all know, this happens every month, and I know what you're thinking-"
 "Why were you late to your own meeting?"
 "Abbi!" Prez glared for a few more seconds, before she continued, "-Prez, why do you have to leave? Well, that, I cannot tell you. I guess I can give you all one thing: Unfinished Business."
 Gwen bit his lip lightly - a habit she had whenever she got upset, as she raised her hand meekly.
 "Yes, Gwen?" Prez's expression turned gentle when she called on her.
 "Who'll be in charge?"
 "Well, Jollie is the most responsible we've got, so I'd say her-"
 The sentence was occupied by offended gasps, a bashfully happy Jollie, and a proud Nell.
 "Okay," Saffron put his hands on his hips, as he spoke, "now that that's over… Hamilton, anyone?"
 "I'll set up the projector!" Jollie grinned, and Saffron smiled at her - the projector was always the most tedious part.
 "You guys can you my Disney account," Aurelia offered, already getting up, "
 "I- I can do the snacks. I have some left over from Baking club," Gwen quickly began to rummage in her backpack.
 "-and I'll do the rest," Prez stated, and the somber mood was officially gone, it seemed.
 Gwen felt the chill on her skin, but that faded when Abbi passed out blankets. It was so strange; this place was like a home away from home.
 She drew her blanket nearer, as Saffron clicked play.
 Then… the door slammed open, an exhausted, black-haired girl rushing in.
 "Monika!" Gwen said without thinking, smiling widely, "you're here just in time!"
 She felt a sense of relief when Monika smiled back- she had a pretty smile, even if it was a bit crooked at some areas, but that just made it more special.
 'Truly,' she thought, as Monika sat next to her - sharing her blanket, 'what a time to be alive.'

andreil and goodbye kisses (pt. 8) ft. wymack (+ a bonus)
part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 || i'm actually feeling kinda sad that this is the last part but also my brain can't come up with more ideas lmao
wymack stands by the fact that he doesn't get paid enough to deal with andrew and neil's shit (both as separate idiots and together)
but he does care for all his foxes, despite all the... difficulties that surround them
and honestly? one of the biggest struggles he faces is how absolutely thick-headed and oblivious the foxes can be regarding andrew and neil's relationship
truly, the heart-eyes neil constantly gave andrew were so obvious, he's not sure how everyone missed them before
but because he's so observant, he doesn't fail to notice how the older foxes keep giving strange looks to neil whenever he leaves andrew's side now
wymack doesn't get in the way of his foxes' personal lives. but if they start causing disturbances on the court, it's his job as coach to get to the bottom of these issues
(okay, maybe he and dan catch up on the so-called "drama" in the team every few weeks but it's for completely exy-related business. ahem. of course)
one day, wymack corners neil and lets him know that he and dan were to meet in his office after practice to talk through some logistics for the winter banquet
neil agrees, and practice goes smoothly (or, as smoothly as it can go with the foxes)
but after practice is... interesting
wymack swears he had no ulterior motives planned with the meeting; it really was supposed to be a genuine discussion
but the outcome of it was certainly unexpected
he and dan both know to wait for neil, that he doesn't like changing in front of anyone
so they wait. and wait. and wait.
it gets to the point where it's nearly 45 minutes after practice and surely neil should be done at this point, no?
wymack gets up, fully prepared to break down the door to make sure neil is okay when suddenly it slams open
neil tumbles out hand-in-hand with andrew, with matching flushed faces and ruffled hair
wymack sighs
dan outright snorts, and neil's head jerks up and his eyes widen when he notices dan and wymack
but before he can say anything, dan stands up and grins at andrew
"fucking neil again, huh?"
neil chokes on a cough and wymack turns to dan with a groan when he notices the mischievous glint in her eye, almost like that was an... inside joke?
with minyard?
wymack is very confused
andrew just scowls at dan. "i will knife you and make it look like an accident"
neil is still recovering from his coughing bout, so wymack turns back to the stabby midget ready to reprimand him
"i'm not scared of you anymore, remember andrew?" dan's eyes are still bright as she tries not to laugh
"shut up, both of you" wymack interrupts their weird jokes conversation whatever gruffly. "neil, do you remember why we're here?"
"huh? OH. oh shit. drew, i'm supposed to be talking with them about some winter banquet stuff"
andrew considers this. "how long?" wymack tells him about an hour, and andrew nods and turns to neil. "i'll stay"
neil just rolls his eyes. "you have a paper due tomorrow that you haven't even started yet. go do that, i'll be fine"
wymack sighs. he's been doing a lot of that lately. "minyard, go finish your homework or i swear to god, i'll make you run three marathons next week"
andrew glares but mutters out a "fine." he goes to leave but neil tugs him back by the wrist
neil then proceeds to kiss andrew on the nose and gives him the most bashful smile wymack has ever seen on the kid's face
neil's happy. it's a christmas miracle! and it's not even christmas yet!
and that kiss... really, it was the last thing he expected out of neil and andrew but he's happy at how comfortable they've grown around each other
and okay, it was a little adorable
(not that he'd ever say that to their faces, of course)
andrew ends up stumbling out of the court with the reddest face wymack's seen as neil turns back to him and dan
"right" he says sheepishly. "banquet?"
BONUS:
abby doesn't believe it when david tells her about the nose kiss
she knows that neil has a heart of gold, she knows that andrew has so much capacity to feel
but a nose kiss? she doesn't think andrew would agree to that
so when her older foxes come over one night after a tiring, but successful, game, she decides she needs to see this for herself
after a hearty dinner, all the kids are sitting in the living room, with andrew and neil talking quietly in the back corner of the room.
perfect.
"neil!" abby calls, and everyone in the room quiets to look at her. "sweetheart, could you help me bring out the dessert?"
nicky immediately jumps up from beside her, saying how he could help if she needed it
"no no, it's alright, i was hoping to talk to neil, if that's okay? it might take a little while"
neil looks extremely worried at this and abby almost feels guilty.
almost
he glances at andrew and then he leans down so quickly that abby nearly misses it
neil kisses andrew on the nose.
abby barely notices andrew's bright blush, nor does she register neil moving towards her
she just feels so proud of her foxes for coming so far in a world that keeps trying to beat them down
it's a sentimental moment, which is completely ruined by kevin's woop and nicky's yell of glee
"YES BITCH THEY DID IT THEY DID THE KISS GIVE ME YOUR MONEY ALLISON"
"fuck you hemmick. fuck you"
neil looks at them wildly. "you guys were betting on us? i didn't think you would..."
matt sighs and slings an arm around his friend. "oh neil, do you still really think that low of us? we bet on everything"
JSKHKKSJ OK IT'S FINALLY DONE i already miss this series but it has been a fun time :) my asks are always open if y'all have anything specific you want me to write !

Request: Can you do murphy/reader set after the hanging? You can decide if he gets banished or not but hurt/comfort please? Maybe they run away together or reader yells at Bellamy or something? (I know you said to wait but we all know I have no self control at this point, oops. Love ya, good luck!) ~ @ultimatereyesstan
A/N: AH! Thank you for this request! I had so much fun with it! I love comfort fics!
Setting: post-hanging.
Warnings: Hanging, Blood, Wounds, uh... Please tell me if anything else?
Word Count: 1,910
~~~
Murphy was scared. You know this, while everyone thinks he's angry and violent and that's all there is to him, you know that's wrong. You know that the anger, the hate, the everything is a facade. A mask he slips on every morning because he feels that if he shows the real him, he'll get hurt.
You know it's fake, you've seen him in his soft moments. You saw him take care of his mother at late hours of the night when she couldn't take care of herself. You saw him sobbing after his mothers death, no matter how much before then he said he wouldn't care if she died. You've seen him in the late hours of the night when he would cry about how horrible the Ark was, and how bad he felt for the people who suffered at the hands of the chancellor and his goons.
So, you know that when he gets up after being hung, this is yet another facade. A disguise to hide his pain and hide his fear. You walk up to him as he yells at Bellamy, his body tight with anger. You put your hand on his arm and softly pull at it, gaining his attention.
"Don't do this. Don't do something you'll regret." You say, and Murphy looks at you for a minute, seeming to think listen. "How does this end Murphy? What? You think you can go and get revenge and it'll turn out alright? How did you getting revenge last time turn out? With you in a locked cell. And now what happens when there's no cells." You continue and you see him thinking.
"Y/N I-" Murphy says and you can see his anger fading already.
"No. You need to stop. You think this is going to do anything other than hurt you more? I know you've got to be in pain, probably a nasty headache." You say, and you see hsi breathing become more shallow. He nods softly and you sigh. "Bellamy, go take Charlotte somewhere, she killed someone, she can;t just get away with it."
"What makes you think you can tell me what to do?" He demands, and you step up to him.
"Because I actually have a brain. Unlike you who just hung an innocent boy because you didn't think." You say, and step back again, grabbing Murphy's hand, and throwing his arm around your shoulders, helping him to the dropship. You help him to the hammock, and by now his energy is gone, all of the adrenaline that was coursing through him has dropped. He looks up at you with pain on his face and you frown.
“No, there’s no room here.” He mumbles, his words barely making it out. You look at him puzzled, and when he moves to get up and you softly push him back down.
“John, what’s going on? No room for what?” You ask. He frowns harder, and you suppress a smile and how adorable he looks. He always tries to look intimidating, but to you he has always been adorable. Someone who could never hurt you.
“You.” He whimpers, closing his eyes, probably from his headache. You smile softly and move his hair from his face.
“Okay, then do you want me to move you to the floor? On the blankets?” You ask and he nods softly, making sure not to hurt his head more. His head must be pounding, you used to help Abby in the med-bay before getting in trouble, there you learned a lot of stuff about medical things, especially injuries. Hanging, which cuts off the blood flow, usually causes intense headaches if the person doesn’t die from it. You know it most hurt right now, that plus the pain on other parts of his body, would be overwhelming. You softly grab his arm again, and help him to sit up.
“Ow.” He whimpers and you wince. “Hurts.”
“I know, sweetheart, I know.” You say, helping him off of the hammock. You help him over to a pile of blankets on the ground. “Alright, I’m going to help you down now, okay?” You ask, not really expecting an answer. You softly help him down and once he’s laying down, you see his muscles relax. You kneel down next to him, and gingerly cup his face. He opens his eyes and looks at you.
“It’s darker down here.” He says, and you nod. “It’s better. Doesn’t hurt.” He says. You smile and softly move his hair out of his face.
“I’m glad.” You say, your fingers running through his hair. “I’m going to get the bucket of water and cloth from over there, and bring it over to wash you up, okay?” You ask and he nods this time. You walk away to grab the bucket and he tries to watch you but he can’t move much. You grab the bucket and walk back.
“First, your amazing face.” You state, bringing the wet cloth up and washing his face. He smiles softly, before letting his eyes close and letting you do what you need to do. He trusts you with his life, and he will continue to trust you for a long time. He shakily brings his hand forward to rest it on your knee so he can feel you here with him. “You know, as much as revenge sounds fun, I’m happy I could stop you.” You say, now cleaning a wound. He mumbles something and you pull back enough to listen.
“Y- you didn’t do shit.” He pauses to chuckle. “I did that on my own.”
“Oh really? So you're telling me you gave up on your own?” You ask looking down a thim with a smile.
Murphy nods and smiles, “Yup.” He says, and then when he doesn’t talk anymore you bring the cloth down to his lips and wipe them clean of the mud staining them. You then softly move on to his neck. When you first put the cloth to him he flinches back, and you pull away, not wanting to scare him.
“Murphy, I’m not going to hurt you. But it looks like you’re bleeding, and you’ve got mud near it too, I need to wash it so you don’t get infected. That would be a horrible spot to get an infection.” You say softly, and he looks up at you. He opens his mouth to say something before he shakes his head and licks his lips. “What is it?” You ask.
He sighs softly, his breath shuddering. “Just… Be careful with me, okay? Please.” He asks, and you smile.
“Of course.” You say, and you let him relax again before softly washing his neck. Murphy has a hard time asking for things, especially for people to be nice or soft with him. The first time he did it it was when you were younger and he had accidentally cut his hand with a knife he had been laying with. He had come to the med-bay, but instead of waiting his turn or being taken care of by anyone else, he had come straight to you. “I’ll always be careful with you, Murph.” You say, and you remember saying it that day too. In a soft voice as he sat on one of the cots in front of you, looking at you like you held up the moon. You look at his face now, and see the same look.
“Thank you.” He says, and you smile softly. You both remember the conversation that day well, since it had been the first time you really saw him vulnerable. He never had even been this way after a bad day with his mother. He always hid those feelings up. You notice that Murphy’s neck is indeed bleeding, and you patch him up. “Sleepy.” He suddenly says, and you jump, not used to the sound in the quiet room.
“You can sleep, you know. I won’t hurt you.” You promise, and he nods up at you.
“I know you won’t.” He says, putting emphasis on the word ‘you’. You take a deep breath and you nod, understanding. Murphy’s scared of everyone else. You grab your knife, pulling it out and showing him it.
“I won’t let anybody hurt you.” You say, turning the knife in your hand. He smiles and laughs.
“You? Protecting me? Yeah, let’s see how that works out.” He snarks, but he closes his eyes and lets himself relax against the blankets. You softly undo his jacket, but keep his shirt on. You don’t want to do anything anywhere like that until he gets back to his normal self. You know he doesn’t like you seeing him that way. You’ve never really understood why, especially since you two are so close, but you assume it’s some type of self worth issues. You finish washing him up, first his arms, then his legs. He only stirs a few times, like if you’re cleaning a wound and it hurts him. When he does this, you shush him, softly petting his face until his eyes close once again.
“Do you need any help?” a voice asks behind you, and you jump, surprised that it doesn’t wake up Murphy. You put down your cloth and look behind you to see Clarke. You can tell she’s flustered, probably worried about Murphy.
“I don't need your help.” You say, your voice darker than it usually is. You know it might be irrational, but you can’t help but feel protective over Murphy. You see Clarke’s face fall and you sigh.
“I know I caused this, but I want to help. He didn’t deserve this.” She says, and you look down at the ground. “Please, let me help.” She says, walking forward. You sigh softly and look at Murphy’s sleeping face.
“I love him.” You say, grabbing his hand.
“Yeah, I assumed so.” She says, a small smile on her face. You look at her and smile.
“There’s not much to help with anymore, I cleaned him up and made sure his wounds were covered. I think you should.” You say, running your thumb over the back of his hand. “I just don't want him seeing you when he wakes up.” You admit.
“That makes sense.” Clarke responds and you nod. “I’ll be out there dealing with the others.” Clarke walks away, and leaves the dropship, leaving you and Murphy alone. You watch as Murphy wakes up once again.
“Y/N?” He asks, his eyes opening and looking up at you. You smile softly and pet his hair back again.
“Hey, baby. Go back to sleep okay?” You say, and he shakes his head. You look down at him in confusion. “Why not?” You ask.
“Want you- Want you to hold me.” He says softly, and you feel your heart break. He never asks to be held, not unless something is really wrong.
“Okay, baby, I will. Just relax okay?” You say, moving so that you’re behind him. You wrap your arm around him, and you feel him turn around in your arms. He buries his face in your shoulder and you sigh saldy, bringing your hand up to play with his hair. “I’ve got you. You’re okay.” You say, and Murphy nods softly.
“My Knight in Shining Armor.” Murphy jokes, and you smile softly, kissing the top of his head. You’re happy to help him. Hopefully from here on out, everything will be okay.
There weren’t many things considered as decorations in the house on the corner of Inglewood Street. The old stone house, with its black shutters and manicured lawn hid behind a stately oak and the polished Porsche in the driveway, glowed as a beacon in the neighborhood, of perfection and wealthy modesty. Inside, it was less populated than one might expect, never fully lived-in, at least not to the casual observer.
Clarke moved her way down the stairs as she balanced the bag on her shoulder, fully prepared for work and then studying with her girlfriend on a fairly boring Saturday night. For the first time in a long time, she looked at the sparse frames of pictures of her family.
Unsure of what made her pause, she furrowed, pushing her eyebrows tightly together and leaning into the image of her mother and father on a random date when they were together in college. They were carefree and at some bar trivia night. Abby hugged Jake’s bicep and nearly hid in his shoulder as he leaned forward, other arm lifted to interject an answer. He was smiling wide despite his eagerness, the flash ricocheting off part of his large glasses. His hair was floppy and fully, swept to the side and neatly arranged, while Abby was brimming with life. Clarke loved the candid picture because sometimes she looked at it, and these were two people who had entire lives and experiences and she forgot that. They probably got butterflies like she did when Lexa smiled at her. They probably spent hours excitedly waiting to see the other.
In that picture, her mother wasn’t the person she was now, though both seemed insanely far away from Clarke. This college-aged person was alive, vibrant, in-love, awake, eager, and not cheating on her husband. The body language alone showed how much she adored him.
In that picture, her father was the funny, charming man she remembered, not the angry, frustrated man who was skin and bones, who couldn’t eat, who couldn’t swallow, who had difficulties moving most days and remembering his own daughter others. He was alive as well. He was the man everyone wanted to sit beside for some reason, for som inexplicable reason he had this… he had a spark that drew those to him like a moth to a flame, except he was that flame, and he shared his light eagerly with those around him.
Clarke relaxed her face after a few moments of looking and seeing and trying to find some kind of detail in that picture that would indicate that the couple in it would know what their life would like like two decades later. There wasn’t a single indication, and that terrified her.
“Did you finish you math?” her mother’s voice called from the hallway, hearing her daughter shift and move to look at the next picture without seeing her first.
“Yes.”
The next image was a very tiny Clarke on her father’s shoulders and her mother hugging his waist as they all stood beneath a redwood tree. They had hiking gear, shorts, sunglasses, hats and sunscreen. They were all smiling. They were a family.
“Did you email me that draft of your personal essay for applications?”
Clarke gave up perusing, no longer feeling the yearn for that family unit that was far away. She rolled her eyes and stomped her way down the steps to find her mother sorting through envelopes and mail.
“No.”
“Why not?” Abby didn’t look up as she flipped.
“Because I’m a junior, and I have five months before applications are due.”
“That’s no excuse not to be prepared. Maybe if you didn’t spend so much time chasing after some gir--”
“Who am I chasing after?” Clarke scoffed, crossing her arms and peering at her mother. “Do you mean helping Lexa on her submission for film school? Do you mean tennis practice? Do you mean working part time? Do you mean having a social life?”
“Considerate that you can help someone else get into college.”
“It’s going to take her months to edit, which I can’t-- I don’t have to explain myself to you.”
That did it. Clarke knew it would. Clarke new an overt expression of her own independence would trigger her mother. She knew arguing and not appearing to care about college would give her the satisfaction of a righteous fight. She wanted it. It’d been brewing for about a week and a half, ever since Clarke said she was going prom dress shopping without her. Ever since Clark forgot to tell her about spending the night camping with Lexa and the film crew while the powered through the project. Ever since Clarke didn't’ come home for dinner last Tuesday and then raved about Mrs. Woods’ garlic chicken. Tiny things Clarke did with spite because she didn’t know what else to do, because she couldn’t do anything else.
Abby’s nostrils flared and Clarke jutted her hip, shrugging to herself as she dug for her phone, ready to go to work and escape the house and the persistent smell of medical equipment and cleaner that haunted her until she was about two blocks from the house.
“I’ll be home around midnight.”
“Like hell you will. You’ll be home right after your shift.”
“No,” Clarke paused as she turned to leave. “I’m going over Lexa’s to study. We’re watching a Cary Grant movie.”
“You’re under the misconception that you get to make your own schedule and plans without asking permission. But that is not the case, Clarke.”
“I’ve been doing fine.”
“You’ve barely been home. Your father is--”
“Right there, in that room, asleep. I know this because I spent the morning with him. We made pancakes and played a game of cribbage. We talked about school and Lexa and I showed him pictures of the past week of my life. And I helped him with his meds because he’s having a bit of a flare. I told him I’d see him in the morning for omelettes because we’ve been watching cooking shows together and he wants to try the french style. I know exactly what is going on with my father.”
She hadn’t meant to, but her voice began to raise as she spoke. Clarke felt her fist shake. She felt her muscles tighten and her jaw clench. She was okay with being considered lazy and unmotivated, but to be accused of negligence was uncalled for, especially from someone like her mother.
“Don’t you raise your voice! You are greatly mistaken as to the nature of our relationship. I am your mother, and I am sick of your attitude, and your priorities not being your father and your family or your education.”
“Lexa has nothing to do with any of that. Are you just mad I’m dating a girl? Or that I don’t care what you think anymore?”
Slightly taken aback by her daughter, by her words, by her actions, by her entire demeanor over the past few months and frankly just sick of dealing with being the bad guy.
“I don’t even know who you are anymore,” Abby shook her head.
“I could say the same thing.”
The two stared at each other before Clarke shook her head and adjusted her bag. She toyed with her keys in her pockets before checking her phone again.
“I’m going to be late for work. I’ll be back tonight.”
“You’re not going anywhere,” Abby insisted again. “You’re grounded indefinitely.”
“Except I’m not,” Clarke sighed and shook her head. “I’m not because I don’t care anymore. I genuinely don’t.”
“You’re going to. Give me your keys and your phone.”
“No.”
“I’m not joking, Clarke. You’re going to need to readjust your priorities and attitude.”
“I think you should take your own advice,” Clarke insisted as she reached the front door. “Or are you too busy fucking Kane to realize that there is no more family here?”
With a satisfying slam, she yanked the door shut. The anger that was stationed in her shoulders dissipated with the noise and movement. Clarke stood there in the quiet of her perfect neighborhood, the flapping of the flag lazily moving in the spring breeze was all she heard at first. Then the birds came. Then a lawnmower started in the distance.
Clarke felt lighter than she’d felt in a long time. She also felt emptier than any other time in her life. It was officially the end, and now she had to deal with that because the anger and the hurt and the betrayal was all she’d had in her for what felt like months. It hadn’t made anything better, and it certainly ruined everything, but Clarke took some solace in the fact that now she could try to fill herself up with something else.
XXXXXXXXXX
The party at Bellamy Blake’s house was in full swing by the time Lexa made her way up the winding driveway and into the belly of the beast. She wasn’t sure how she ended up there exactly, except that her girlfriend texted and said to show up. That seemed to be enough of a reason, though Lexa wasn’t particularly prepared. They’d had plans. Quiet plans. Private plans. Movie plans.
And now Lexa was going to her girlfriend’s ex’s party.
She shoved her hands in her pockets as she moved through the crowd, clearly not getting the memo that jeans were not entirely good enough attire, and in fact she seemed to be extremely overdressed. Her eyes bugged slightly as she watched a girl from her physics class walk by in a very tiny, very teeny lime green bikini. Lexa became suddenly aware of the appeal of such things, as if she hadn’t noticed them before, but then MIchelle who sat diagonally in front of her third period looked like that and she gulped.
The music thumped loudly. The beats were rattling the walls and shaking the windows while the screams and giggles of her classmates sought to shatter glass. It wasn’t like the other parties she’d been to with Clarke. It wasn’t even like thrones Anya dragged her to when she visited. This was a night of debauchery and she hadn’t had time to prepare.
And as much as she saw everyone else wearing bikinis, she hadn’t thought about Clarke wearing one. She’d seen Clarke’s boobs before. That was nice. But there was something to her girlfriend in a bikini that was… good. Very good, even.
Lexa pushed her glasses up slightly on her nose and stared.
“What are you doing here?” Gus asked, approaching quietly. She didn’t move or say anything else, just stared from across the pool, the steam billowing upward to ward the sky while everyone seemed to glow blue and green and red, the lights alternating around them, the flames of the fire pits dancing to keep everyone warm. The warm glow of the lights inside were lost on the white-blue shade to the water.
“Lexa, focus,” he snapped his fingers in front of her face. “What are you doing here? Your sister would kill me if she knew you were at a Blake party.”
“How is it different than any other party?”
“It just is.”
“Because of the pool? I’ve been to pool parties.”
It hadn’t been since seventh grade and didn’t look like an episode of a CW show, but still, she’d been to a pool party with many of the same cast of characters that were currently on display. It was before puberty, but still.
“We need to get you home.”
“Clarke invited me.”
“It doesn’t matter. This isn’t your scene.”
“I can be in any scene. I’ve watched every John Hughes movie.”
“This is more of an episode of Euphoria than an 80s teen flick,” Gus sighed and took another swig from his cup. “And I fully believe you would fit in fine with Molly Ringwald.”
“That’s very kind of you to say,” Lexa nodded. “I’ll be fine.”
She took her eyes off of her girlfriend long enough to assure her friend that she was perfectly fine now. She was dating the head cheerleader. She’d been to parties and seen--
“Gus-- is that cocaine?”
“Okay, yeah, we have to get you out of here,” he shook his head and tossed his empty cup into a flowerbed.
“Is it really?” she asked, craning her neck as he pushed her forward. “I’ve never see that in real life before. People actually do that thing with the credit cards and dollar bills? Astounding. Where does one get cocaine?”
“You don’t need to know that.”
“I’m not going to do it. I’m just curious.”
They only made it a few steps before the ran into a sopping body. A tall, muscular, tan, perfectly chiseled and dripping body. It was the body of an actual god. It was the body of the perfect specimen, with biceps and the long swimmer cuts that pointed firmly toward his… his-ness.
“Gus, long time, man. How you been?” Bellamy Blake grinned before slipping his cup in his teeth as he hugged the other football player.
“Not too bad. Heard you’re heading to Oregon in the fall?”
“Yeah, partial scholarship. We’ll see what happens,” he shrugged. “Staying close?”
“Yeah, St. Johns, about three hours away.”
“Full ride?”
“Yeah. I got offered half to OSU, but would rather not have to pay anything.”
“No, that’s smart.”
The whole time they spoke, Lexa watched Clarke’s ex intently. She frowned to herself and wondered how her girlfriend broke up with him. He was effortlessly cool. He was huge. He looked like he knew how to go down on a girl, and Lexa was still apprehensive. She wished she could fast forward in life until she was really good at sex.
She watched him grin and sip from his red cup, meeting her eyes curiously as Gus explained something about his college recruitment process.
“I don’t think we’ve ever met before. I’m Bellamy.”
He held out his hand. And though she didn’t want to do it, she sighed and shook his hand.
“Sorry, I should have introduced you. This is Lexa.”
“Lexa… Lexa…” He mulled.
“Anya Woods’ sister.”
“Wow, you’re Anya’s little sister?”
“Yeah.”
“How is she? I forgot she had a little sister. I remember her little brother died-- oh shit.”
“Yeah.”
“We were just heading out,” Gus interrupted.
“I was actually just going to go talk to Clarke.”
“Why would you--”
Before anything else could be said, before anything else could transpire between the two of them, before Gus had to interrupt again, Clarke appeared, launching herself into her girlfriend’s arms, wrapping her own around her neck, her body still slightly damp from the pool she must have just climbed out of during the awkward introduction.
“You’re here. I’m so happy,” Clarke hummed against Lexa’s warm neck. She buried herself there, suffocating herself happily, slightly tipsy.
“I told you I’d stop by.”
Clarke kissed her girlfriend’s neck. She leaned most of her body against her there and giggled, oblivious to the eyes, too drunk to care about anything else happening.
“I am have the worst day. Maybe the worst week. Maybe the worst year ever. No, wait. Definitely the worst year, and today I finally told my mom everything and then left. So Yeah. It’s been terrible. I got drunk.”
“Not the healthiest coping mechanism.”
“Not a bit,” Clarke grinned, agreeing eagerly and with a wide grin. She leaned forward and kissed her girlfriend despite her words.
“You can be healthy tomorrow,” Lexa offered. “You okay?”
“As okay as can be.”
There was some throat clearing that happened behind them, and Lexa felt a burning in her ears and chest at the display, unaccustomed to it all.
“So this is your new girlfriend?” Bellamy asked, looking at the pair.
“Lex, I suppose you’ve met my ex,” Clarke gestured.
“Kind of.”
“Is this party a little much?”
“If I remember correctly, this was exactly the kind of thing you liked. We went to many a party in our tenure,” Bellamy shrugged, lazily leaning against a counter. “Things changed since I left, I guess.”
“I enjoyed not thinking,” Clarke offered. “You were great for that.”
Gus and Lexa looked between the two and then at each other. She was almost certain she didn’t know what was happening, but that certainly, something was, and she wasn’t sure how she felt about it.
“You moved on quick, huh?”
“Hey, step back,” Gus interrupted as Bellamy took a single step. “This is Anya’s sister.”
“Woods?” he furrowed. “You’re dating Anya Woods’ kid sister?”
“Yup,” Clarke nodded.
“I heard she was--”
“Standing right here,” Gus finished.
Lexa felt Clarke’s hand move into her own and she smiled despite the fact that she was picking up a drunk girl at her college guy ex’s party. There was a lot in that sentence she wasn’t happy about, now that she thought about it.
“You ready to get out of here?” Lexa asked innocently, ignoring the rest.
“I think we still have a few more shots lined up, Clarke,” Bellamy smiled and Lexa understood the need to punch.
Noticeably torn, she looked at her girlfriend and back at her ex before realizing that she was actually drunk, and that wasn’t good. Lexa smiled softly and rubbed her girlfriend’s back. She kind of imagined how it must have felt to implode and take her mother down with her. Lexa remembered the feeling of telling her father she was gay and sad. Clarke’s implosion didn’t seem as successful as her own, and Lexa was more than happy to try to help in whatever way she could.
“Can I stay at your place tonight?”
“Yeah,” Lexa nodded quickly. “I’ll text my mom to let her know.”
“You’re seriously leaving?” The college football player and terrible ex scoffed. “The night is still young. It’s barely after eleven.”
“Thanks for getting me drunk, but I should probably go do something better.”
“Thanks for showing me around,” Lexa offered nodding her head slightly toward the host before he could argue. “Have a good night. I’ll see you on Monday, Gus.”
“Get home safe,” the linebacker warned.
Slightly dumbfounded, Bellamy Blake stood there, hands on his hips as he watched his ex weave through the crowd of people and disappear. As much s everything stayed the same, he couldn’t shake the sinking feeling of change, and how averse he was to it.
XXXXXXXXXX
“Here, you can, uh,” Lexa quickly moved through her bedroom, leaving her girlfriend standing by the bed. “I have some old sweats if you want.”
Already, Clarke began taking off her pants, and Lexa quickly looked in the drawers of her dresser. She felt the tips of her ears burn slightly as she looked over her shoulder, her girlfriend slumping into the bed, pants lost to the floor.
“I knew I shouldn’t have gone to that party. I knew it,” Clarke sighed, rubbing her face with both hands to ride herself of the spinning. “But I didn’t care. I just wanted to… you know…”
“You had it out with your mom. You just anted to go far away. I get it.”
“Don’t be nice to me. I knew better than to go, especially to anything involving Bellamy Blake.”
“Why?”
“He doesn’t care about any of it. Just has drinks. I should have called you or like done something else.”
“You’re allowed to want to take a night off from a giant secret after a huge fight. And you don’t need my permission,” Lexa reminded her girlfriend, offering an old shirt.
“It was stupid.”
“Do you feel better?”
Gingerly, Lexa tugged at Clarke’s shirt, pulling it over her head until she flopped back down on the bed, her hair fanning out against the pillow. Agitated at herself, at her clothe, at the unfathomable uncontrollability to the entirety of her life, Clarke growled to herself as she tugged off her bra, tossing it to the side and gracelessly pulling on the shirt Lexa offered.
“I don’t feel better at all.”
It was certainly a pout, and Lexa did her best to ignore it. Instead, she slicked off the light beside the bed, and slid between the sheets next to Clarke. Lexa laid there until Clarke turned to face her, until she placed her hand on her neck and cheek.
“I’m sorry you had to pick me up.”
“It’s okay,” Lexa whispered.
“It’s not. I’m not like this… I don’t mean to be… I mean--”
“It’s okay.”
Clarke leaned forward, shifting beneath the blankets until their knees were touching. She moved to only push the hair from Lexa’s forehead and she paused before kissing her lips. She tasted the warmth of the tequila there and she didn’t care. Lexa signed.
“Please don’t give up on me anytime soon,” Clarke murmured. Stunned from the kiss, Lexa blinked in the dark and shifted closer.
“I wouldn’t ever.”
“I know you wouldn’t. I just had to say it out loud.”
“Okay.”
Lexa was certain she was going to get another kiss, but instead, Clarke dug her forehead under her girlfriend’s chin and pressed their bodies together, hugging her tightly and disappearing, being overwhelmed, anchoring herself to a steady force. Lexa rubbed Clarke’s back for a few moments until she fell asleep, and then she allowed herself the option of sleep.
Found Family
Abby x F! Reader Mini Series
Warnings: Labor and stuff, violence
Chapter Eight; Golden Hour
A baby's first breath starts what is called the "Golden Hour". This is the period of time when a parent will hold their baby for the first time and feel a love like no other.
*NINE MONTHS PREGNANT*
I've been very restless lately, so Abby, Lev, and I decided today would be a good day to take a short walk around the outskirts of town. I smile, listening to Lev talk about this shark movie he found at his "friend's" house. Abby and I walk hand in hand behind him, keeping an eye on our surroundings. The outskirts of town are abandoned but they can still be dangerous if you're not paying attention. Our daughter is due in about a week and Abby and I are thrilled. We've gotten everything prepared. We even spent the past few days painting the walls of the baby's room buttercup yellow. Thanks to Kayla, we managed to find a hardware store that had dozens of cans of paint. As we're walking, I feel a dull ache in my stomach, but I brush it off once it quickly goes away. I've been having these weird little cramps all day. We continue walking for about five more minutes before I feel an even stronger pain. I wince, putting a hand on my stomach.
"Y/N?" Abby looks down at me in concern. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah." I breathe. "Just the baby moving around." That's when an even stronger wave of pain hits me. "Fuck!" I yell, almost falling to my knees if it weren't for Abby catching me.
"Hey, it's okay. I got you." Abby's eyes search my body frantically. "What's wrong, baby?"
"Abby!" I cry, the pain getting worse. "It hurts!"
"Okay." Abby whispers, moving to lift me up. "Okay, we're gonna get you back home." She picks me up bridal style, nodding at Lev who stands there watching us with a worried frown. He instantly runs in front of us, guarding our path back to the dark green pickup truck Abby borrowed to drive us out here.
The pain continues to get worse, making me bite my lip and grab at Abby's sleeves desperately. "Ah! Fuck!" I scream. "Abby, I think the baby's coming!" I sob, staring at her. She looks at me with sheer panic in her eyes.
"Oh fuck! Oh fuck!" Abby starts to panic, moving at fast as she can without dropping me. "Okay, hang on, baby. It's gonna be okay! We're gonna get you-" I cut her off with a loud scream I physically can't hold back, sobbing into the sleeve of her shirt as my stomach begins to feel like it's tearing itself apart. "Shhh. Breathe, baby. Focus on your breathing." Abby tries to comfort me, following Lev towards the truck. As we make our way there, we hear familiar screams and clicks... infected. Oh shit! They run towards us, too close to catching up.
"Abby!" Lev yells, shooting at infected as he runs. He manages to take down a few.
"Just keep running!" Abby yells back. "We're right behind you! Get to the truck!"
"Abby, they're getting closer!" I warn. "There's too many of them! Put me down, we can take em out!"
"You just focus on the your breathing, Y/N!" Abby's voice is frantic and determined. I roll my eyes, she's too stubborn to realize we have no other choice. I pry her hands off of me, causing her to drop me. I successfully land on my feet, ignoring the pain as I grab my gun out of Abby's backpack. "Y/N! Fuck!" Abby grabs her gun, helping Lev and I kill as many infected as we can. The adrenaline rush makes my heart pound frantically. Once we've cleared a path, Abby grabs my arm. "Okay, go! Go!" She yells. The three of us make it to the truck, Abby helping me into the backseat before joining me. Lev gets in the driver's seat.
"Abby, what are you doing?!" I yell. She should be up front driving!
"Lev, drive!" Abby yells, reaching for my hand. Lev turns the truck on.
"What?! Abby are you crazy?!" I smack her hand away, looking at her like she's grown three heads.
"Lev go! Now!" Abby continues. Lev complies, stepping on the gas.
"No!" Abby grabs my hand, ignoring my yelling.
"Drive, dammit!" Abby yells, squeezing my hand.
"EVERYONE BUT Y/N STOP YELLING, I'M TRYING TO CONCENTRATE!!" Lev screams from the driver's seat. Abby and I both shut up, minus my pained cries. That's when I feel something wet. I look down, seeing my jeans and the seat soaked. I panic.
"Abby!" I yell, absolutely terrified. I have no idea what's happening.
"It's okay." Abby assures, squeezing my hand and brushing sweat soaked strands of hair out of my face. "It's okay. Your water broke, it's completely normal." I look up at her, she looks just as terrified as me. "Just breathe, baby. Just like I showed you, remember?" I nod, focusing on my breathing. Lev continues to drive as quickly and as carefully as he can, most likely trying to tune us out. "I'm gonna unzip your jeans, okay?" I can only nod to respond, too focused on controlling my breathing. Abby unbuttons and unzip my jeans, pushing her fingers into my underwear and checking my dilation. I can barely feel it because of all the pain.
"Abby." Tears pour down my face as I look at Abby. She pulls her hand back, wiping it on her shirt carelessly before looking back at me.
"It's okay, baby." She coos. "You're doing so good. You're so strong, baby." She kisses my temple a few times, rubbing my arms and stomach. "We're almost there, sweet girl. Just try to relax." I nod, leaning into her side and focusing on my breathing.
"Abby." Lev calls from the driver's seat. "Small problem." Abby sits up, keeping her arms around me.
"Oh shit." Abby mumbles. I look to see a huge hole in the road filled with water. "Okay, we went the wrong way. It's okay, just take a right." Lev does so, forgetting to slow down. The truck's tires scream against the pavement. "Easy, Lev!" Abby warns as the truck almost completely tilts to the side.
"Sorry!" Lev apologizes. By the time we get back, Abby and I look like absolute disasters. Lev takes a sharp turn into a brick wall, accidentally crashing the truck. "Sorry, sorry sorry!" He yells.
"It's okay. Is everyone okay?" Abby asks, checking Lev for injuries.
"I'm gonna go get help." Lev says, getting out of the truck. Abby helps me out of the truck, carrying me to the infirmary as I cry in fear. Lev returns with Kayla who immediately rushes over to help.
"I got her." Abby says. "Kayla, go to the infirmary, tell them she's in labor."
"On it!" Kayla nods, running off toward the infirmary.
"Lev, go home. I'll have Kayla come get you later." Lev nods, despite wanting to stay and be helpful. Once Abby and I get to the infirmary, a doctor is already preparing a small room for us. She guides us into the room, asking a couple nurses to grab some things. Abby lays me on the bed, helping me pull off my jeans and underwear before covering me with a blanket.
"Abby, I'm so scared." I sob. "I can't do this." Abby takes my hand in hers, stroking my right cheek with the other. A few nurses rush around the room, finishing up their preparations.
"You can do this, baby." Abby mumbles against my temple. "You're so strong. You can do this. I'm gonna be right here the whole time." I take a deep breath, letting myself believe every word she says. Seven hours of painful labor later, our baby girl is born. My head falls back against the pillow as I sob, Abby running her fingers through my hair and whispering sweet nothings against my cheek as one nurse cleans up our baby and another cleans me up. Before I can even realize what's happening, I'm handed a tiny, screaming, pink bundle. I look at our baby immediately crying with joy.
"Oh." I smile, letting out a breathy laugh. My voice is dull and tired. "Oh, hello! Hello, my baby!" I delicately rub her tiny cheeks with the pad of my index finger. Her mouth is open wide as she screams, wiggling around in her swaddle. I never thought I could love something this much until her. Our perfect little girl. "My little girl! Oh, you're perfect!" Abby rests her head against mine, wrapping her arms around me. She watches as I cradle our teeny tiny baby, watching as she slowly calms down in my arms. "You're so pretty! Look at you!"
"She looks so much like you." Abby sniffles, putting a hand on the baby's tiny chest. I look up at her, seeing her huge grin and tear stained face. She leans down and kisses me. She looks at our daughter, tears pouring down her face.
"You wanna hold her?" I ask, moving the baby toward Abby.
"Are you sure?" Abby asks hesitantly.
"Of course, honey!" I laugh a little, feeling more tears fall. "This is our daughter!" Abby takes her in her arms, gasping at how tiny she is.
"Hi, my sweet baby girl." Abby rocks the baby, her tiny size making her muscles seem even bigger. The baby fusses a little before calming down, making little cooing noises. "Momma's got you, it's okay. Mommy and I are here." Abby whispers. "Welcome to the world, little bean." Abby looks down at me in awe. I gesture for her to sit on the bed beside me and she does, allowing me to lean against her side.
"I'm so proud of you, Y/N. You did so good, sweet girl." Abby says, holding me close. "Thank you. Thank you so much. You brought our perfect little girl into the world, baby! She's finally here!"
"I love you so much." I mumble, kissing Abby before looking back down at our baby.
"I love you too." Abby sniffles. She hands me the baby, hugging me tightly. After getting me cleaned up and changed into clean, comfortable clothes, Abby asks Kayla to go get Lev. A few minutes later, Lev walks in wearing a black tuxedo. I laugh, holding the baby as I breastfeed her.
"Lev, what are you wearing?" Abby chuckles, gesturing to his outfut.
"It's my fancy suit!" Lev grins. "I wanna make a good first impression!"
"You're such a dork." I grin. "She's eating right now, but you can hold her in a bit okay?" Lev nods, patiently sitting on the end of the bed. "Abby?" I turn to look at my wife. She looks at me with pure love and adoration.
"Hm?" She hums, brushing my cheek with the pad of her thumb.
"Tell me about the sky bridges again?" I ask with a little pout.
"Alright." Abby chuckles. "Anything for the mother of my child." Abby tells the story about her experience on the sky bridges as the baby eats, a few nurses coming in and interrupting to check on us and congratulate us every now and then. Once the baby's done eating, Abby helps me fix my shirt and I usher Lev over. He sits by my other side, looking down at his tiny baby sister.
"You can hold her, Lev." I say. He looks at me with excitement. "Here, put your arms like mine." I say. He does, carefully holding the baby as I put her in his arms. She whimpers a bit, squirming. "She's saying hello." I smile.
"Hi there." Lev whispers. "She's so little. I love her so much!" Abby and I watch as Lev rocks the baby, looking down at her in awe. "What's her name?" I look up at Abby. She nods, a knowing smile on her face. We talked about names for weeks before finally deciding we knew the perfect one all along.
I put a hand on Lev's shoulder. "Evangeline."
When the girls who got turned down because as Eddie states “they’re not my type” and Buck’s “mine either, not anymore” is because of their type is each other, then what?
When Eddie and Buck finally get their heads out their rear ends and finally get together in season 5 then what? The answer to that last bullet: I literally scream at the top of my lungs and dance around my house!!! Or [if] Buddie doesn’t become endgame and I realize that I went through another Bellarke situation... I will lose my mind and then sent a very opinated email to the producers.
Okay good night now, I literally wrote this at 1 am instead of sleeping lol!
“Hey Buck, how was the zoo?” Sam gave a pointed stare towards Steve, a bet had been made.
“Great!” he said cheerfully, settling down at the table where his friends had been talking. “We went to every exhibit. It’s really gotten big.” He sipped on the water bottle he had brought with him. “Oh, and you guys should have seen Y/N with the elephants, did you guys know they did a paper on their behaviorism in college? They’re so smart and well-read, ya know. The elephants seemed to take a liking to them too. They kept sticking their trunks up at them, the whole thing was adorable.”
“That’s nice, Buck,” Steve sighed, reading over this paper in front of him. “Did you guys get to the penguin-”
“Oh, and the zookeeper gave us some free vip passes so we got to hold one of the penguins! You should have seen Y/N holding that bird like a baby-”
“Oh my god, shut up!” Steve groaned, pulling a surprised look from Bucky and Sam. Sam, however, was all the more knowing.
“What’d you say, punk?”
“You’re in love with them!” he yelled, exasperated. “You can say ‘we’re just friends’ all you want but it doesn’t hide the fact that you’re in love with them and too much a wuss to do anything about it.”
“Steve-”
“No, I’m tired, Buck. I never thought I’d be the one telling you this, but man up and ask them out.”
Bucky tried looking to Sam for help but it was pointless. Sam only raised his hands in mock surrender. “Don’t look at me, I just do what he does.”
“Steve, I don’t-” Steve narrowed his eyes at his childhood best friend. “What if they doesn’t feel the same?”
There was no point in denying it anymore. If Steve had figured it out then he was being too obvious. There wasn’t a doubt in his mind that Y/N was the most important person to him right now. And while Steve would always be his best friend, Y/N held much more room in Bucky’s heart.
“Pal,” Steve leaned forward, resting his arm on the table. “They talk about you the same way you talk about them. You don’t have much to worry about.”
Bucky tried to hide the growing smirk on his face. “They do?”
“Yes! Now please go do something about it.”
Sam tried to contain his chuckle as he watched the former assassin take off in a jog towards Y/N’s room. He shook his head, pulling up a feed of the hallway by their door. “I wanna watch him flounder.”
“Sam-” Steve tried to admonish, but was shushed almost instantly.
Y/N smiled sweetly at Bucky, even after spending the day with him at the zoo. “Hiya, Buck! Miss me already?”
“Yes.”
They paused, smile faltering just a little bit. “Really?”
“Y/N/N, I-” he ran his metal fingers through his short locks. “I miss you every moment we’re not together.”
“Bucky-”
“And I know I could totally be screwing things up here and if it’s going to make things weird between us then we can just pretend it didn’t happen and go back to how things were-”
Y/N leaped forward and wrapped their arms around his neck, his breath leaving his lungs in shocked relief. His own arms wrapped around their body, squeezing them tightly to his chest. His heart racing against his ribs, he could almost feel it through their form.
They pulled back reluctantly, smiling impossibly wide. “I thought I was being painfully obvious how much I’m into you, Buck.”
“Yeah well,” he released a hand off their waist to scratch the back of his neck. “Steve and Sam figured it out before I did.
“Hell yeah we did.” “Sam! No!”
“Fucking spies,” Y/N chuckled, taking Bucky’s hand and bringing him into their room. “Come on, I was missing you too.”
Since @andrews-jort-loving-pipe-dream made the post of Andrew having hobbies and it's been a month that these have been sitting in my drafts so here you go-
Andrew and embroidery:
It's one of their sessions when Andrew eyes the plate of his favourite chocolate chip cookies and hot cocoa and Bee sitting with her eyes gleaming. Uh oh something is up, is what he says to himself.
"Come on Bee, say it" "what makes you think I want to say something?" "Bee" "well you got me"
She doesn't get to the point in the next half an hour or so. Yes, he's happy Bee. Yes, he did not forget to feed the cats. Yes, he still hates Neil. Yes, he talks about his feelings sometimes.
"Andrew, what do you think about doing something in your past time?" "I spend my past time being perfectly productive" "Watching Bake off while eating ice cream doesn't really count" "Fine, what proposition do you have?" "Embroidery" "what the fuck?"
Bee chuckles lightly as she hands him a package. There's various types of needles and colourful threads and a few pieces of cloth.
"what am I supposed to do with this?" "Sew things, whatever you like" "and who'll teach me?" "That's upto you. But I think it will help, and you can learn and knit whenever you feel anxious or not okay. Give it a try?" "Fine" "and you give the things you make to me or Neil or any of your foxes" "they're not my foxes" "but they call you theirs, don't they?"
Andrew doesn't know what to say so he just pops a cookie into his mouth, and eyes the box of colourful stuff Bee handed him. It's too much colour and he hates it already but he supposes he can try.
Bee wishes him good luck and Andrew leaves. If he Google's embroidery tutorials on YouTube while sitting in the Maserati, nobody has to know.
He secretly begins practising. And it's not hard because he lives alone and it's Neil's last year at Palmetto. But they visit each other often.
He's frustrated initially because the needle hole is so goddamn small and half the time when he's trying to sew he's just stabbing himself with the needle. It takes him a good two weeks when he can comfortably sew with a needle and threads. He's out of the cloth Bee gave him and he doesn't know anything about embroidery or whatever.
So he steals one of Neil's hoodies when he's visiting one time. Neil won't notice anyway because he wears Andrew's clothes most of the times. Andrew latches the chest of the hoodie into the wooden ring and locks it before turning to his box.
It's an old wooden box he's had for a while, which is currently filled with threats and some beads and needles, all neatly arranged. He had threads in a ton of colours but somehow he likes it.
He picks up the white, grey and pink and grabs a pen and draws rabbit ears on the hoodie. He secretly smiles to himself. He begins to sew and it's grey and white patched rabbit ears with pink in the centre. It looks entirely adorable. He's quite proud of it. He sends Bee a picture before keeping everything away.
He strategically nonchalantly keeps the hoodie in their room so Neil will pick it up.
He obviously does. He's beaming and smiling so wide when he sees the hoodie and the little rabbit ears on it.
"Andrew, did you learn to embroider?" "No" "Andrew" "yes" "I love it, they're adorable" "shut the fuck up"
Neil gives him a thank you kiss. Fucking junkie.
He now wears the hoodie most of the time. Andrew is so annoyed after a week or so he just grabs a couple more of his hoodies and attacks them with his needles and threads.
Soon, a key and then a fox and then a cat appear on Neil's hoodies. Neil can't stop beaming with happiness after Andrew shoves them in his face. Neil looks so happy, Andrew hates him more.
"you should do it more it's really pretty. We should get matching ones" "324% junkie"
He does not oppose the idea.
Renee is so proud of him when he tells her that he's doing this. She tells him to make patches and put pins on them so he can put them anywhere. He just hums in agreement.
After a month, he has a lot of patches made. He gives Bee a few, who instantly pins one of the smaller ones to her dress (it's a bumblebee) and one to her bag and neatly keeps away the others.
He makes little fox faces all while hating the foxes as he knits them aggressively. He has to remake one because it's eyes weren't placed properly.
The foxes meet at Abby's the following Thanksgiving and Andrew drops small packages in various places throughout the house, with everyone's name on the nearly wrapped brown bag.
It's like a game because he literally drops them anywhere. Kevin finds his on the lawn, Matt and Dan's is in the trunk of Matt's car (he finds it two hours later), Allison's in her bag and she searches the whole house because she's the last one who hasn't found hers. Aaron finds his in his coat and so on.
They all collectively beam at Andrew when Wymack tells them who they're from. Of course Bee had to tell her dear friend that Andrew embroidered now. He doesn't mind actually.
All of them get a common fox face and then other things that definitely did not remind Andrew of them. They absolutely geek over each other's patches
"Ally you got a heel" "And Boyd got boxing gloves" "And Kevin got a queen pawn"
He makes them their respective pride flags
Andrew hates them the most that evening.
They all post on their social media about their patches being pinned. Allison's dress, Dan's jacket, Matt's Bandana, Kevin's travel bag, Nicky's refrigerator (he stuck a magnet to it) and Aaron's goes on his phone (Andrew made it for him and Nicky, it's a bunch of Gardenias) (Gardenias symbolise family)
Andrew does not absolutely stop. He makes them when he's anxious and happy, and he enjoys it. Not that he would tell anyone. Bee is so proud of him that he threatens her that he'll stop.
Neil knows he's happy when he sees his foxes all proudly sporting Andrew's creations on their stuff. Neil's bag is covered fully. He actually whines to Andrew about where to put the new ones. They go into his binder that he made for his family of foxes.
For their anniversary (Andrew denies calling it that but anyway), Andrew embroiders two pairs of armbands with a garden of flowers.
They all mean things to him. Family. Friendship. Moving on. Resilience. Loyalty. Truth. Love.
Neil is speechless when Andrew gives them to him.
"I love it Andrew" "400%" "Wasn't it 324% last time?"
