Imagine actually advocating "AI rights" and "compassion towards machines." We're in a world where real living beings are being massacred and enslaved en masse in the name of progress, but apparently technology is the side deserving of sympathy. Some people really are far gone.

a commune can have modern tech
a commune is not necessarily a hippy commune where people make daisy necklaces or some shit. liberals clearly don't understand this subject. my home town is a commune. people trade food and when someone needs help we help them. everyone farms. but that doesn't mean theres no technology. work is hard. farming really hurts sometimes, despite the payoff. it is still a modern society with cars and phones.
with the rise of technology, anarchocommunism becomes more and more plausible. without technology, a commune means working constantly til youve got back pain at the age of 25. but with technology, an anarchocommunist society can work. a big part of anarchocommunism is that work is done voluntarily. no one wants to be a cashier. thats a very easy job to replace with technology. we should not live in a world where robots taking people's jobs is a bad thing. we should live in a world where robots taking up jobs means freedom. obviously, some jobs require people, like conservation and medicine. you'd be surprised how many people are willing to help people by taking up these jobs. i plan to farm so people can have enough food, and im also going to study conservation and ecology.
anarchocommunism does not mean doing away with advanced technology.
what other jobs can you think of? leave it in the tags.
interestingly, robots could actually replace surgeons soon. we could still have medical professionals directing them of course.

alias needed a railgun dragon shift and it got real big real fast... this thing would be held in the hull of a ship until needed for firing away. the chains are just for show and really cannot hold her.
might do a size comparison when i can actually decide on that but you can at least store several horses very safely in the tank in her belly.

Crescendo rubbed the synthetic fingertips of his thumb and index finger together in circles, a habit he picked up from a mechanic in Argentina some time ago. He didn't bother to go through his databases; it was the least of his worries floating around his cranium. One of them being that someone estimated that there would be death, if not severe injury if someone didn't pull their weight good enough, for the mission that would be at three in the morning sharp.
At least, that's how Crescendo interpreted it. As vigilant of a sniper he was, he often selected what he wanted to hear from other people, even during very serious, human-issued, brow furrowing briefings.
.. Doctor Castro-Damian? Was he allowed to call him that?-would probably lecture his brain until Crescendo tore off his own damn head and- He stopped that unusually and stupidly violent thought. He tried to focus on how well the base was built. Look at those gray walls. Yeah, those are some thick walls alright. His eyes drifted over to some blonde Corin who was also sitting there, contemplating and likely brooding just like everyone else assigned on the mission today was. That was also the girl who shattered one of his faceplates. She seemed much more approachable without an angry face.
He sat next to her, kind of unsure who she was. He knew her face, but not her name. They were in the same group, he remembered.
"So.." His voice had an edge of caution as though wrong words would get himself punched again. "Ark, is it?" She looked up.
"That's what they call me sometimes, yeah. It's RK." "Oh. Cool." Crescendo looked at the walls again, trying to grasp any form of entertaining conversation. Oh, wait: their boss. He had a rank name but Crescendo didn't care enough to think about it. "What's up with that Amp guy, even?" "Oh, he's like, very strange. It's too hard to not even notice. I think he has kind of this air of.. I dunno. Being weird." "Oh, like that's descriptive. But I get what ya mean. He has a couple names people call him. I heard Augur call him 'Ampere' n' someone else called him 'Ambus'." "He never like, corrects anyone. Why be so secretive about a name, even? It's not like they show up on our IDs." "That's what I'm sayin'. He's got everythin' closed off. And for what?"
RK's eyes glimmered with mischief, and it made Crescendo feel oddly soothed that not everyone here was a rigid hard-ass.
"I think it's some kind of a cool guy act. Whatever he deems as 'cool'." "Being British?" "Oh, Amp's not British. I used that adjective once and he was a little upset." "Really? I assumed 'cause he sounds like it from his accent. What is he, then? Irish?" "Who knows? Anyways.. I think he's trying to be 'cool' by pretending he has zero feelings. He usually has his arms all folded and very still, like he's lifeless. I see that on TRB all the time. 'Look at me, I defy the human nature I am adapted to having!'. He also owns a sword." Crescendo laughed in disbelief.

omg i love your work so much! if your free can you do a fluff scenario of kid where his s/o gives him a ton of cute magnets for his arm and he shows them off like tattoos? 🥰🥰🥰
Tumblr media
Character: Eustass Kid Content: s/o giving him magnets for his robotic arm a.n.: I really love this idea and I do love Kid. Hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Kid was engrossed in his workshop as usual, tinkering away at the scattered items on his cluttered table. Screws, metal scraps, and tools lay in disarray, which he periodically shoved from left to right to create a bit of workspace. Despite the apparent chaos, he had his own unique organizational system, that made sense, only to him. Occasionally, you could hear him mutter curses under his breath, as you watched him from the doorway quietly.
His massive form sat at a well-worn workbench, which had clearly seen better days. The wood bore scratches, burn marks, and a missing corner—hastily patched with a piece of metal Kid had slammed against it. After all, it was a workbench, meant to look used, or so he told himself.
The small light aimed at the bench exaggerated his already bulky form. His foot tapped to the rhythm of the music playing in the background as he continued to tinker. He was so absorbed in his work that he didn’t notice your approach.
With your hands in your pockets, secretly holding the little gifts you had gathered, you leaned over his shoulder to see what his calloused hands were creating. Despite their rough appearance, Kid was deft when handling delicate metal parts. You kept quiet, a small amused smile forming on your lips as you wondered how long it would take for him to notice your presence.
Your breath brushed his shoulder, causing him to pause momentarily before resuming his work. He acknowledged your presence with a grunt, "What ya need?"
For Kid, that was quite polite. Anyone else would likely have faced a flying screwdriver or a loud rebuke for interrupting him. But you, you could bother him anytime. Even if he reacted this way, you knew you were welcome.
"Nothing, just curious," you answered innocently—perhaps too innocently. Kid knew you well and sensed you were up to something. He cocked his head towards you, raising an eyebrow, but before he could make a snarky comment, you pulled your hand out of your pocket and let the magnet fall onto his robotic arm. It adhered instantly.
Kid frowned, examining the small, punk-themed magnet now adorning his prosthetic. Placing his tools on the bench, he turned his metal arm for a better look. It was a small magnet, just his style.
"Where’d you get that—Hey!" You interrupted him by placing another magnet on his arm. He didn’t know you’d been collecting these during your travels. Each time you saw a fitting one, you’d buy it, waiting until you had a good collection to surprise him.
With a low hum, Kid turned towards you, still seated on his stool. This was new. He had never considered decorating his arm, which he saw as a weapon rather than a canvas for aesthetics. Your captain spread his legs, leaning back against the workbench, eyes shifting from his robotic arm to you. "What's this all about, huh?"
You stood between his legs, shrugging nonchalantly with a small smile. "It's like having tattoos. You can change them, too. Thought it was a cool idea. Do you like it?"
Kid might be rough around the edges, but he wouldn’t decline a gift from you, even the oddest one. And this? It looked kinda cool. A confident grin spread across his face as he examined the magnets. Most fit his style, though some were cuter, making his grin falter. He groaned in annoyance.
"Y/N, come on. What is this? I can't be running around like this!" He ripped off a magnet featuring a kitten with big eyes and "Anarchy" written below. Clearly, you’d picked it to tease him. Kid was about to discard it, but you snatched it back and reattached it to his arm.
"It's a gift! It’s not that bad. A real man can wear anything, right?." You taunted with a grin, pinching his cheek gently. Kid pulled his face away, rubbing the spot. You always knew what to say to him to make Kid agree. Going after his manhood usually worked. "...you're lucky I like you, Y/N."
He sighed in defeat, giving you a kiss to thank you for the magnets. He liked most of the them, even if a few were embarrassing. But they were from you, and that made them special. You’d clearly put a lot of thought into this, buying so many and especially picking out specific ones which fit his style.
Later that day, Kid kept all the magnets on his robotic arm. His crew commented, mostly positively, but when they saw the "Anarchy Kitten," they burst out laughing, knowing you’d done it on purpose. To their dismay, Kid discovered he could use the magnets as projectiles, slamming them into their faces and easily retrieving them with his power. With a smug grin, he realized the magnets were more useful than he’d thought.
Kid not only kept every magnet you bought but wore them like a badge of honor. Kitten or not, he looked sick with them.
