On October 4 , 1967,"NASA informed the Boeing Company that it was terminating procurement of 10 S-IC stages, S-IC-16 through S-IC-25. Boeing had submitted a proposal on July 3 and an adjusted proposal on September 20 covering the necessary supplies and services for fabrication and delivery of the stages."

These were for the second production run of the Saturn V, possibly corresponding to Apollo 21-30 and later two were planned to launch Voyager 1 and 2. The long lead items for S-IC-16 and S-IC-17 had already started when the decision was announced and any materials already gathered were scrapped. Although NASA concluded to lobby for funding for SA-516 and SA-517 (along with Saturn IBs SA-215 and SA-216) until August 1968.

I decorated a notebook I was given by a university so I could have a small helpol book to take around with me. In it I started writing some of the Delphic Maxims (in no paticular order), and Maxim 21 stuck with me a lot: 'cling to discipline.'

Now, I tend to be a pretty undisciplined person, I'm not going to lie and say I'm not. In college, I struggle focusing on stuff I'm not good at, or that doesn't interest me, and I'm not very intrinsically motivated to put in any effort into these things.

On Friday I was in maths class. It was the end of the day, and we were just reviewing a paper we completed before the holidays. I'm not very good at maths at all, and normally by now I'd be totally checked out, but I kept thinking about that Maxim. Cling to discipline.

I don't know what happened, but I've never been so locked in during a maths lesson. It felt nice and productive. Normally in a maths lesson I feel like I'm trailing behind and I get discouraged quickly. Not this time.

I got loads of questions wrong? Now I know how to answer them next time.

I hope my maths lesson tomorrow will be like this aswell!

Story

I am Mahmoud Al-Masri, I'm 21 years old, living at the Gaza Strip, an academic student majoring in Graphic Design.

I am here to ask for your support to complete my university education, the Israeli occupation destroyed universities and colleges in the Gaza Strip and destroyed education facilities, youth support institutions and training spaces that aim to provide training for all disciplines and then provide job opportunities for young people, most of which were destroyed.

We used to have a beautiful life, despite the siege on Gaza and the wars on it. We used to have a house and now we live in a tent "displaced", we used to have dreams and we pursued them and still do, we used to go to the sea which is the only breathing space for the people of the Gaza Strip, we used to live peacefully despite all the siege. We here in Gaza have brilliant and innovative minds that learn medicine, technology, professional specialties, agriculture, industry, trade and all specialties, we just need someone to support us, appreciate what we do and motivate us to keep going.

October 7, 2023 is a date that I will never forget, we were displaced about 8 times and lived through terror and destruction and are still living it, we saw death with our own eyes and survived death several times, our features changed, we became young people instead of worrying about our future, we became tired of securing water and food for our family and carrying water from a distant place to the tent is very tiring, our bodies are tired of the weights we carry daily and the diseases that spread and we don't know what's next.

I decided to pay back my knowledge and the information I gained from study, search, and workshops by share it on social media. I will answer on everyone's questions, and make webinars as my teachers do with us.

These ideas will help educational community to grows.

My goal in launching my campaign is to raise funds to complete my university studies outside my city, to cover the costs of travel, housing, food, the costs of the university I will attend, and I am currently looking for a distinguished university in the field of graphic design. I asked my friends who attended universities in Europe to suggest some universities, and among my goals after studying is to provide a safe and stable place to live with my family.

the second stage of heartbreak, anger.

and that is all you felt when you woke up that morning. pure burning hatred for rafe cameron.

the sadness had drained you. completely. you had spent the last few weeks drowning in it, letting it consume you, break you, rip you apart. but now?

the sadness was gone.

replaced by rage.

it was a slow burn at first, simmering beneath your skin as you stared at your reflection in the mirror. puffy eyes, tear-stained cheeks, a hollow expression. you barely recognised yourself.

and all of it, every single ounce of it, was because of him.

the boy you had given everything to. the boy who had held your heart in his hands, only to toss it aside like it was nothing. like you were nothing.

you thought back to that picture, the way he kissed her, held her, touched her like you hadn’t just spent months loving him, like you hadn’t bared your entire soul to him.

your hands clenched into fists at your sides, a bitter laugh escaping your lips. had it always been this easy for him? had he been waiting for an excuse to move on? had he ever even loved you at all?

you weren’t doing this for him. this wasn’t about making rafe jealous or proving something to anyone.

this was for you.

because for the first time in weeks, you were done feeling small. done feeling broken. done letting him have this much control over you when he wasn’t even around.

you refused to let him be the only one who got to move on.
