Gale telling Durge that he's sure that Durge would have people to invite to their wedding is ofc Larian half-assing things, but it's funny to hc that Gale just had an oopsie social interaction where one says smth kinda weird/incorrect and then later realizes that it was weird/incorrect but it's too late to correct now. However, Durge takes that as a "you should invite someone to our wedding" kind of expectation and tries to comply. Family members are absolutely out of the question even if they weren't dead or a god he hates. And outside of Bhaal's temple, Durge is pretty sure he had only one friend. But he was apparently a very good friend. And Durge has Gale's resurrection scroll that never got used. Death's not a problem yeah. Perfect solution yeah.

I saw someone mention Rhaenyra’s hand being cut by the iron throne and I just realised that Ryan and the rest are gonna cut that from the series and just say that her being cut is another ‘Green propaganda’

tbh if they do that then the show is cooked and its legacy will be even worse than got’s ever was, because at least got was nuanced once. the whole point of the throne is cutting bad monarchs, specifically when they do wrong to the people they are meant to serve. nobody is above that judgement, not even the damn creator of the throne. she got cut because she caused death, she ordered death, both of her enemies and her own allies. this is martin telling us she fucked up.

that idea about quiche being an otaku got me thinking.... what would his reaction be if ichigo suddenly decided to be an idol?

Well, I’m about 15k words deep into writing an idol/bodyguard AU, so stay tuned for a longer answer in an AU form 👀

If we’re talking canon universe, post-series, in the re-turn realm? As in, Ichigo decides to become an idol as a post-TMM career path? I think Quiche would be an absolute menace fanboy and president of the Ichigo Momomiya fan club, but in the most toxic, gatekeep-y way possible. Think: finding his way backstage at every opportunity possible, scaring away any fanboys at meet-and-greets, and stoking rumors with the press that they’re an item.

There’s an interesting angle here if you keep to their canon history because Quiche is one of the few people who knows and understands every aspect of Ichigo’s identity (as a civilian, as Mew Ichigo, and then potentially as an idol). I explored this kind of dynamic in The Deal quite a bit, but it cracks open a “They might adore you, but I know who you really are” angle that is fun to think about (and I do a bit of in my AU I’m writing, too).

here's another guy from my head

his name is Ida. he works in marketing, has only 9 fingers and thinks he's the shit (he's not). his biggest enemy is GG because she said that "we make robots" is a terrible slogan once. he threatens quitting every week but never follows through with it because his daughter is way too enamoured with walter workers and he wouldn't be able to take her to work anymore. he adresses everyone by surname but whenever the topic of his name comes up he makes up a lie on the spot. nobody knows why he was hired in the first place but everyone feels too bad to fire him now. he likes root beer 👍
