So about that Vanity Fair article… (RANT AHEAD)
Due to THAT Vanity Fair article and the comments made therein, I will now refuse to be a diehard fan of ANYONE (wrestler/entertainer, civilian, etc) anymore.
Shit's getting exhausting, frustrating and having to delete a fuckton of content from my blog is a time-consuming headache that i shouldn't need to do if certain ONE TRUE CHIEFS could read the fucking room. And quite frankly, I'm tired of and getting too old for nonstop disappointment being flung at me online and IRL.
And don’t try to tell me “oh WeLl yoU CAn STiLL suPPorT tHe cHaRacTeR” or “THOsE aRe HIs PersONaL ChOicEs” or god forbid “i DOnT sEe wHY iTs A bIg DEaL”.
Supporting the character is still giving the man behind it a platform - like VANITY FUCKING FAIR - to spew fucking nonsense to hundreds of thousands of people.
His “PersONaL ChOicEs” led to the reinstatement of the most (and I’m going to try and censor a few terms here bc i might get flagged for certain words. I know, I hate doing it too) räç1$ť, şëxǐsț, ħómò₱hobic, transphøbic, antişëmitíc, anti-intellectual, unqualified and grossly incompetent piece of orange oligarchy shitstain back into the highest position in the US government.
And that reinstatement led to one of, if not the most blatant display of corruption, greed and outright bǐgøtřÿ in recent world history.
I am so sick and tired of being told not to “get triggered” whenever shit like this happens because it someone else’s political views don’t affect me. But here’s the thing:
PERSONAL CHOICES CAN AND OFTEN DOES LEAD TO LARGER, MORE DRASTIC CONSEQUENCES.
This is literally the Butterfly effect in its purest form.
It's gonna take a while to completely scrub my blog of a certain piece of hypocritical scum, and I refuse to do so while l'm on vacation, but I'm glad I stopped watching WWE, and thus stopped reblogging content regarding the Big Bitch, back around 2019. Less shit for me to scrub from my blog.
/end rant

This weekend, a place I frequent once and a while is having a sale which supports breast cancer research. With this being the first weekend without Suzanne Somers, I don't think it's a coincidence. They plan their sale events ahead of time. Today I received their email, and a light went on inside me. I feel compelled to shop here this weekend. Suzanne was a strong and amazing actress with the voice that can't be replaced.
That lady fought with a smile and gratitude for her family.
So I am going to support this store event. Please enjoy browsing.
I thought that I would share Nurse Wellness with you, my friends.

EDIT: i removed the “trump refused to swear on the bible” point because it was being taken as me being an offended christian. i’m not christian, im agnostic. the reason i included it in the first place is because he’s the first president in history to ever refuse to swear on ANYTHING. meanwhile his “conservative christian” followers had no issue with this, and decided to continue to scramble for excuses instead of admitting he may not be as religious as he claims he is. i figured taking that point out entirely is probably better than filling this with an explanation in the middle of the other important issues.

I find this Lovely and Practical on Several Levels
Level 1 of Practicality: Hi-Vis
Level 2 of Practicality: it is a Corset. A Properly-Made Corset provides Several Functions.
LoP2.a: It will Support the Bust, Lift the Bust off the Underbust, and Distribute the Weight of said Bust across the Entire Torso instead of just a narrow little strip. This Reduces Strain and Prevents that Bra-Band Pain so Prevalent with Modern Bras. Also , by Lifting the Bust From The Underbust, this helps Keep that bit of skin Clean and Dry, thereby Preventing UnderBoob Sweat, Underboob Skin Fungus, and Possible Pressure Wounds.
LoP2.b: Due to the Structure of a Properly-Made Corset, it also Functions as both a Weight Belt (Mandatory to Use when Lifting Heavy Objects, or else you put yourself at Risk of a Hernia) and Back and Posture Support, so that, when Wearing it, you are able to lift more than you would otherwise. (PLEASE Do Not Overdo it Though. There is No Reason to Needlessly Hurt yourself.)
Lop2.c: Also due to the Structure and Construction of a Properly-Made Corset, a Fully-Boned Corset may Function as Light Armor. The Impact Resilience of the Corset Depends on How Many Boning Strips are used, and whether the Boning is made of Reed, Synthetic Baleen, Solid (But still Flexible) Strips of Metal, or those Funny Strips of Interlocking Metal Links with Endcaps (I do not Remember what these are called)
LoP2.d: A Properly-Made Corset provides Full Movement. I Repeat: A Properly-Made Corset Will Allow You To Take Full Breaths And Move However the Heck You Wish, all while Providing Excellent Support and Protection.
Level of Practicality 3: the Full-Coverage Neckline. Ain't gonna have to Worry about Anything Falling into your Cleavage.
Conclusion: you have Done a Lovely Job on This. Thank You for Allowing us to See this Work of Art that Blends Fashion and Practicality

How Your Donated Vehicle Can Support Medical Research and Healthcare Charities
Tumblr media
If you’re considering donating your car, truck, or other vehicle, it’s important to know that your donation can have a profound impact—not just locally, but on a global scale. By donating your vehicle to medical research and healthcare charities, you are helping fund vital medical advancements, support patient care, and provide essential resources to those in need.
In this article, we’ll explore how your donated vehicle can directly benefit healthcare and medical research initiatives that save lives and improve the quality of care for millions.
How Vehicle Donations Fuel Medical Research and Healthcare Charities
Charitable organizations across the globe rely on donations, including vehicle donations, to fund groundbreaking medical research, provide necessary medical equipment, and support healthcare programs. Here’s how your vehicle donation can contribute to these critical efforts:
1. Funding Innovative Medical Research
Many of the most significant medical breakthroughs in the world—whether it's in cancer treatment, heart disease prevention, or rare diseases—are made possible by donations. Your vehicle donation can help fund vital medical research that leads to new treatments and potentially life-saving cures.
Healthcare research is expensive, and many nonprofit organizations depend on donations to finance their research initiatives. For example, cancer research institutions use donations to fund studies focused on understanding cancer's complexities and developing better treatments. Your car donation can be a stepping stone toward the next big discovery in medical science.
2. Providing Essential Medical Equipment and Care
Healthcare organizations need more than just financial support—they require medical equipment to ensure patients receive the best possible care. From diagnostic machines to surgical instruments, funding for equipment is essential for hospitals and clinics to operate effectively.
Through vehicle donations, funds are allocated to purchasing equipment and supporting programs that improve patient care. These donations ensure hospitals can deliver cutting-edge treatment to patients, often enabling them to recover faster and live longer.
3. Supporting Patient Assistance Programs
Medical treatment can be prohibitively expensive, particularly for those facing long-term illness or rare conditions. Vehicle donations help fund patient assistance programs that provide financial support to individuals who may otherwise be unable to afford necessary treatments or medications.
These programs help alleviate the burden of medical expenses, ensuring that individuals receive life-saving care, regardless of their ability to pay. By donating your vehicle, you can make treatment accessible to those who need it most.
4. Raising Awareness and Education
In addition to providing financial resources, donations often help fund healthcare awareness campaigns. Charities and medical research organizations use donations to spread awareness about preventable diseases, mental health issues, and important medical innovations.
Your vehicle donation helps these organizations reach a broader audience, educating people about important health issues and encouraging preventative measures. Raising awareness can save lives by empowering people to take control of their health.
Why Donate Your Vehicle to Medical Research and Healthcare Charities?
Donating a vehicle can have a direct, long-lasting impact on both the research and healthcare industries. Here’s why it’s such an important choice:
1. Making a Tangible Difference
When you donate your vehicle, the proceeds go directly to healthcare programs, medical research, and essential patient care services. You can rest assured that your donation is being used to make a positive change in the world, supporting causes like cancer research, access to care for underserved populations, and innovative healthcare treatments.
2. Streamlined Donation Process
Donating a vehicle is simpler than you might think. Most donation programs offer free towing services, ensuring that you won’t have to worry about transport. The charity will arrange for your vehicle to be picked up at no cost, and in some cases, it can be done in a matter of days. The process is hassle-free, making it easy for you to contribute to a cause that is meaningful to you.
3. Potential Tax Deductions
In addition to the satisfaction of knowing that your donation is helping improve healthcare, vehicle donations also come with tax benefits. By donating your car to a qualified nonprofit organization, you may be able to claim a tax deduction based on the fair market value of your vehicle. This allows you to give back to society while receiving financial benefits in return.
For more details on how vehicle donations impact your taxes, check the IRS guidelines on charitable contributions.
How to Donate Your Vehicle
If you’re ready to donate your vehicle to a healthcare or medical research charity, here’s a simple guide to help you get started:
Choose Your Charity: Research medical research organizations or healthcare charities that accept vehicle donations. Many well-known organizations have programs in place to facilitate car donations.
Contact the Charity: Reach out to the charity of your choice to confirm that they accept vehicle donations. They will provide you with information on the next steps.
Arrange for Pickup: The charity will typically offer free towing services to make the donation process as smooth as possible. You won’t have to worry about transporting the vehicle yourself.
Receive Your Tax Receipt: After your vehicle is picked up and sold, the charity will provide you with a receipt. This receipt is essential for claiming your tax deduction.
Conclusion: A Simple Way to Make a Big Impact
Donating your vehicle to a healthcare or medical research charity is one of the simplest ways you can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Whether you’re funding life-saving research, providing essential medical equipment, or supporting patient care programs, your donation plays a vital role in advancing medical science and improving healthcare outcomes.
The process is easy, the benefits are significant, and your contribution could be the key to discovering new treatments, supporting patients in need, and raising awareness about critical health issues. So, when you're ready to part with your vehicle, remember that your donation can help change lives.

When I started my career in design, the agency I was at had a lot of pharmaceutical companies as clients. I vividly remember creating support group kit materials for HER2+ breast cancer patients who formed their own support groups. HER2+ breast cancer was a death sentence: an aggressive form of cancer that many women didn’t survive. Our toolkit was in support of clinical trials for Herceptin. I still remember some of the interviews we did with these women as a part of the toolkit, and I keep a copy of it in my desk. (It was a small folio)
In the late 90s, only about 7-10 yrs before this project, I had lost an aunt to breast cancer. I’ll never know if her cancer was HER2-positive, but it was aggressive. Fast forward to today. In the past few years, my own mother was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer. They caught it early, and thanks to Herceptin, she’s cancer free and thriving. In just 15-20 yrs, the prognosis for this cancer has completely turned around.
What treatments are we going to be missing in the next 10 years?
